An Inn at the Land of Iron, Satorus current location. He sat at a desk, a pen and paper in hand as he wrote a small historical novel based on the notions and idea that had flowed through his head throughout his travels. He always wanted to put pen to paper but with the relative price of both of those commodities, it was a difficult for him to get an accurate grasp on the appropriate tools.
And so, the book began…
“After some time of medical experimentation, the kugyo race finally blossomed into fruition and was later named “Hamato”. After much effort, it was discovered that Hamato’s ability to regenerate itself was affected by the King Yata genes. Thus, Hamato was thus given the nickname “Kagayaki Yata-han”.
In case you are curious, the Jugo bloodline are known to be the most abundant breed of blood-line among any race in the known world, and those of the “Genius Race” of Hamato are seen as being a slightly advanced race. Their lineage is considered as a branch of the Infinite Celestial Dragon race that is referred to as the Beast race.
To cut a long story short, Kureiji Kagaku-sha, a man of great scientific prowess, has not only emerged to the top, but has become the undisputed leader of the entire Hamato bloodline. And the main reason for his success is his ability to get KKG out for trading, the same with his determination to market new strains of the planet altering science and technology as seen in the comic series.
This novel will be a detailed analysis of the KKG’s technological progress, the breeding process, the ties between the Hamato’s origin and the King Yata bloodline, the economic outlook and impact of the Hamato blood-line on the entire Yami realm, the differences between KKG of this era and KKG of earlier eras and so much more.
Chapter 2. A brief look at the Hamato bloodline
Hamato is a race of people that posses “the kugyo race” as their natural and hereditary ability to regenerate. Their genes are seemingly a cross between various breeds of birds with the greatest focus being on the boar.
As with their population, their technology and culture is an amalgamation of various elements ranging from ancient cultures and religions, the philosophy of gardening, the medical discoveries from various ancient races.
Hamato are the direct descendents of Kugyas, a race that developed and bred bloodlines of their own in several areas of the globe. As seen in most races of the realm, there is a code that states that the Jugo must always mate with the female of their own race. However, in Hamato there exists a hybrid race where the “Jugo” itself is the progeny of the Hamato with a female of another race.
Thus, one can say that the Hamato’s version of race choice is “half-Jugo”. The term “Hamato” is derived from the word “Hamato Jugo”, which means something like “no longer possible”. It is believed that the population of the Yami realm has been stagnating due to Hamato population decrease.
Several Hamato communities have merged and fused together, living in numerous provinces throughout the Yami realm. Some believe that this is due to many of the Hamato’s choosing to migrate due to conflicts caused by old differences and hostilities in the past. These different communities of Hamato have created various different sub-sectors such as Azumanga Daioh, Tamako Market and so forth.
During this period, the creation of a large red bird for royal house seat was a royal edict. In this tradition, a female pheasant was chosen to become the seat of the Amagami family. After generations of being selected, the last King Yata-han died without leaving an heir and the family was without a seat.
For nearly a century, the various families tried to accumulate power and raise their numbers until one man known as “Kagayaki Yata-han” emerged to the forefront and eventually became the next King Yata-han.
For obvious reasons, the title of King was changed from being a title to a right, but this in turn led to the name “Hamato” being applied to the entire race of the Yami realm as their primary living being is “Kagayaki Yata-han”.
Hamato Population
According to rumors, only a single male has ever been born in the entire history of the Hamato bloodline and the reason for this is believed to be the untimely death of one of the first generation of Hamato male line members. The female of this bloodline gave birth to a son in secret and allowed him to grow up without knowledge of his lineage. During this time, the male often looked to wild pigs for his care. In time, the male found his life’s purpose by protecting the wild pig and its many offspring and traditions from afar.
As is the custom of Hamato, the male was usually left with no descendants due to the superstitious belief that children would suffer the wrath of the Hamato gods for living the wrong life. Due to this, many Hamato people who were of age but also not of lineage have left the race as a result. But why is it that no male has ever been born to the Hamato bloodline? There are several theories behind this, and I will provide a detailed analysis of the different speculations.
Chapter 3. Variant Mutation Theory:
The “mutant mutation” theory is also referred to as “Gakuneri” theory. It is said that after the death of the original male Hamato, the remaining Hamato bloodline was used for the first time in a natural environment. An infant female was suckled by a wild pig, but never thought to ask how the pig had gotten pregnant. It is assumed that the female was male, but due to the infant’s undeveloped organs, the female’s body couldn’t produce the female’s genetic makeup, and instead produced a male pig.
It is also believed that the pig was not killed during birth and instead buried in the earth. The pig began to mutate from there. The females sex organs went into overdrive, and the pigs internal reproductive organs grew into those of a human being. As a result, the pig was born with an undeveloped penis and testes, but these organs developed on their own into a penis and testes respectively. After a year, the female pig began to form a sexual organ and the three male pigs were born at the same time.
The theory that the Hamato are half-human has been proven to be true based on the Xian Moon Stones that were discovered in Hamato tombs, which were said to be able to grow humanoids out of water. These stones are sometimes referred to as “Gakuneri” stones, because of this. It is also believed that the true human form of Hamato, which is a mix of wild pig and human genes, is never seen because of this.
Another interesting theory is that a child was born to the female pig and the human male, but the male was not aware that the female had mated with a human and instead assumed that it was a wild pig mating with itself. The pig was nursed by the human female until she was weaned. A couple years later, the Hamato male and female were found dead in the woods. The male pig was believed to have killed the female and consumed her flesh, because the Hamato pig and female are thought to have a genetic affinity for meat. As a result, a human male grew inside of the female pig.
Regardless of which theory is true or not, the only thing that has been proven is that there has been no male Hamato birth for nearly one hundred years.
Chapter 4. Gakuneri Theory:
According to this theory, the original female Hamato was absorbed into the wild pig in secret in order to continue living as the human woman she was genetically. She is known as the Gakuneri, or “divine” female pig. The Gakuneri pig is still kept alive in its natural environment, and will occasionally be sighted within a forest that is protected by wild pigs. The Gakuneri pig was first discovered by one of the most renowned hunters in the history of the Hamato, known as the Silver Wolf.
Silver Wolf was known for being an exceptionally skilled hunter, who had killed a 100 year old wolf on a hunt. He was born from the bloodline of the legendary Sekiryuutei, who lived more than a century before. Because of this, it was believed that he was responsible for bringing back the Gakuneri pig to life. Legend tells of the Silver Wolf and his wife, who were hunting in the woods that were protected by wild pigs. While in the woods, they spotted a female pig. A few moments later, the two heard a male pig scream.
As the two entered the clearing, the female pig screamed out at them that she was being chased by a human male. She told them to come save her. Silver Wolf and his wife snuck up to the female pig and captured her. As they were searching for the human male, Silver Wolf noticed that his wife was gone. He quickly searched the surrounding area for his wife, but failed to find her. He then tried to bring the female pig back to their home in order to take care of her and make sure that she would live a long life. The female pig eventually made it back home, and Silver Wolf never saw her again.
Some believe that Silver Wolf lost his wife in a hunting accident, but this is unlikely. If he had been hunting alone, he wouldn’t have come across the Gakuneri pig, and his wife would have been with him. Since his wife didn’t accompany him, it was decided that his wife must have been abducted by the human male who he originally chased away. As a result of the male’s actions, Silver Wolf was born. While it is clear that a female Hamato pig exists, it is unclear whether this female is Silver Wolf’s wife or not. It is widely believed that he later married a woman from the Sekiryuutei’s bloodline, and had two children.
Chapter 5. The Great Hunt:
Legend tells of a great, man-eating wild pig that would roam the planes. The pig was said to be so large that it was a hundred times the size of a human male. The theory is that the Great Pig was the offspring of Hamato and human. As a result, it would be even larger than the wild pig. The Great Pig was said to hunt human beings in the nighttime, and would steal the meat from their dying bodies. Because of this, the people would form great hunts, to try to kill this Great Pig. But, the people were never able to capture the Great Pig. Many people still believe that a Great Pig will become one of the targets of the Shinobi. This idea stems from the belief that the Great Pig was able to fly in order to evade capture.
The Great Pig was said to be killed by the descendants of the second original Hamato, the Raven, who was said to be of an extremely powerful human being. The Raven was originally a man who had served under Hamato Suikotsu. He was said to be the strongest human in history. Because of this, he was able to be more than just a servant to Hamato. He eventually became the second commander of the Hamato, and helped to control the Great Pig.
The legend says that Suikotsu had a son, his first born son, who had died of sickness. But, before his death, he was able to give his son a secret dream. In his dream, the Raven was holding the Great Pig and taking it back to the mountains, where it would be safe from humans. Suikotsu then sent his son to kill the Great Pig. This son was a young boy named Genjimaru. His most prominent trait was his lightning fast speed. Suikotsu then placed Genjimaru in a magical wood, in order for him to live there for eternity. Suikotsu died at the age of 44, when Genjimaru was still a boy.“
He expelled a breath as he release grip on his pen. Atop the pile of paper he held, he caught glimpse of a contact. He squinted his eyes, focusing on the text, before quickly realising that the deadline for the contact would be soon upon him. Satoru jumped out of his seat, wrapping himself in a cloak before dashing out of the inn with the contract in hand. He began scouring the Land of Iron in search of the oasis with snow and fresh water.
After a long search, he found himself empty handed. On his return back to the Inn he stumbled across am ominous sound coming from a small gap by the trees. As he navigated through it, he was taken in by the fresh water and the stunning animals, he was baffled as to how such a site was in such confined area. He noted the directions to the location, before quickly departing to the contact office, his mission was complete.
