Holiday Mission - Rare Animals <------mission being done

Keita had once again teleported from his lodgings in the sand village to somewhere where he had never seen before, and he was once again confused. It had barely been twenty four hours since he had gathered and destributed the cookies from the last task that this mysterious entity calling himself the hollykage, had given him. This time however, he, along with his partner Kizmaru, were somewhere in a densely packed rocky area that was covered in snow currently, and although Keita knew quite a bit of information, he was not a well traveled person, and so he did not recognize where they were. That was, until the mysterious entity essentially talked into his head yet again, and told them that they needed to find the hidden oasis inside of the land of iron, which was apparently where they were, and walk through it, simply admiring the beauty. This was strange, and he wondered what sort of criterion the mysterious entity had when selecting these missions, but decided to look at Kizmaru and head out anyways. Keita looked around once again, and although they were ninja, it seemed that there were only two directions that they could head, north or south, and Keita looked towards Kizmaru. "You probably got the information too this time, so which way should we head? Flip a coin?"

Once again, Kizmaru had been ripped away from his current location in order to be placed far away from his current location. Even though it has happened frequently, he could never really get used to the feeling. At least this time he landed on his feet. It hadn't been too long since he had been passing out cookies in his own village of Kirigakure. It all felt so surreal yet, it happened once again alongside his bodyguard, Keita. Well, if an unnatural phenomenon continues to happen, he's at least be glad it was with somebody he could trust. Now that he gathered his bearings, he had noticed he was in a rather rocky area and it was very cold. It didn't take long for him to realize why it was so cold. There was snow covering the area and he was very glad for the steam armor he currently wears as all he had to do was turn on the furnace in order to warm his body up. Now that all of that was said and done, a voice had informed him to find the hidden oasis inside of the land of iron. Another cryptic mission, that's just what he needed. Looking towards Keita, he decided not to say a word and followed him to wherever their destination laid. He was asked about flipping a coin and he figured it was in their best interest to do so if it helped end this crazy adventure sooner.

Keita saw that Kizmaru was flipping a coin to decide, as they seemed to both agree that there was no way that they would be ablke to tell which way to go with so little information, so for now they were just going to wander around in a random direction until they found what they were looking for. Keita watched as the coin flipped in the air and then landed on Kizmaru's palm, and the face that showed on the up side was heads, and Keita already decided that if heads showed up, they would travel towards the right, and if tails showed up, they would travel to the left, and so it was decided which direction they were going, so Keita started walking off in that direction while signaling to Kizmaru to follow. As they were walking down the badly upkept trail, they noticed a lot of things going on near them, which was strange. It seemed that there were more animals about than normal, and even if the animals saw the two of them, they would not scurry away immediately, instead they would sit and watch and even some of them started to get closer, but upon seeing them within a certain distance, the animals had fled in the opposite direction. Finding this a bit strange, Keita also rubbed his hands together for warmth, as although he was used to the cold and harsh winters in the mist village, he could tell that they were in higher elevation, where it would be even colder. that and the light snow falling that was coating the ground made Keita feel quite a bit colder than normal.

Taking out a coin, Kizmaru decided he would flip it in order to see which direction they would go to find the grove they were looking for in order to appease the disembodied voice and receive a reward. The original plan seemed to be they would just go wandering around in a random direction until they found what they were looking for until they came up with a plan of some kind. They didn't really have much information to go off of so for the time being, a coin flip was needed. As he flipped the coin into the air, he watched as it landed on heads in the palm of his hand. It seems Keita decided they would go to the right. Following Keita's lead, he noticed they're were more and more animals appearing around the area. Maybe they were onto the right path after all. It seemed as if they were going higher and higher as the warmth from his steam armor was becoming less and less effective at keeping him warm and even he was starting to feel the adverse effects of the cold. Even he began to wonder where exactly had been teleported this time around for this troublesome quest.

As Keita and Kizmaru made their way down the mountain, Keita would start to chat to Kizmaru about random things that he saw, which was mostly the rocky terrain and the different types of animals that they had seen. These animals were not native to anywhere around Kiri, not that Keita had ever known about any ways, and it seemed that they were used to the relatively high altitude that they were dealing with at the moment. As they started to head upwards on the trail, they were going slightly higher and higher in elevation, as the path sloped slightly upwards towards the tops of the cliff like area, it was starting to get quite a bit more cold, and so Keita decided to grab some sort of cold weather cloaks, which could basically be called blankets with hoods in them, from within his armor's storage space. As he unsealed them, Keita handed one of them to Kizmaru, wondering if he suffered from the cold as well, even when he had his special armor on. He did not know the precise things that the armor could do, and Keita was always a courteous one, so he would have done so no matter what when he thought about how cold it was. It seemed like they were getting closer and closer to the home, nest, or source, whatever it was, of the animals that were now getting more and more dense as they got closer to their destination.

Making their way through the mountains, Keita decided to strike up a conversation about the scenery around them. There were definitely a few animals he's never laid his eyes on before and were quite surprised a lot of them didn't have native homes near Kirigakure. Well, they would have most likely been hunted and butchered for their pelt and meat either way and he wasn't about to waste more of the taxpayer's money on trying to protect animals. Following Keita, he noticed the elevation was steadily getting higher and higher, in turn getting colder and colder. He figured he should increase the output of the steam armor as if he were going to attack but Keita had begun to unseal something from within his special armor. It turns out he had blanketed mantles to use in order to keep themselves warm. This guy must have all manners of items in there for just such an occasion, who would have thought. Taking the blanket from him, he wore it over his armor in hopes it'd keep him warm alongside his heated up armor. It was kind of a tight fit but at least he wouldn't freeze to death. If push came to shove, he could always make some fire to warm them up.

After giving Kizmaru the blanket from within his armor, Keita had decided that they would need to speed up. He did not have any way to heat himself up, and he was starting to get a bit uncomfortable. They were supposed to find some special oasis of forested life, animals and such, but the only thing that Keita would think of when he thought about how that something like that would be able to sustain itself up there where they were was a geothermal vent. This would allow something like an oasis to form, as the animals around it needed to be warm, and have access to a large amount of food in the area. Still, it seemed like they were getting closer, and picking up the pace that they were moving might also keep them warmer. As Keita was walking, he started to see that the snow was starting to thin, and this eventually led him to believe that they were very close. Keita then started to jog, and so he rapidly made it to the location, and there was starting to become more and more green. There was actually starting to be grass around the area, and there were plenty of animals around now, and so Keita assumed that they were right at the location that they needed to be at, or at least very close to it, and Keita turned to Kizmaru, who he assumed would be right behind him with his speed. "Well Kiz, it seems like we made it to the location, or at least close. I think the strange mission was to look around the area?" Keita said, not quite remembering the exact specifications and directions that were sent into his head at the start of all this.

They continued to walk in the direction they were heading in as per what the coinflip dictated. As they walked, he noticed Keita had quicken his pace a bit as if the cold was getting to him. Kizmaru was fine for the most part because of his naturally hot armor but he hadn't taken into consideration that Keita might not be so lucky. He too, decided it was best if they hurried on their way through the snow, having a random conversation of things they had seen and passed by as they did so. As they continued to walk, the snow had started to get thinner and thinner as they traversed the area. Clumps of grass began to manifest as they saw less and less snow, at this point, Keita had began to speak to Kizmaru once more, inquiring about the location they sought after being nearby since it was apparent the snow wasn't making its way in this part of the area, or at least, he had hoped so. Kizmaru just responded with, "I really hope we've made it to the destination that the strange voice wanted us to find. Its hard to regulate a perfect temperature in this armor as I can't seem to find a balance between very hot or freezing cold." It was a tad bit annoying but he was glad for the armor as well as the blanket.

Keita nodded towards Kizmaru as soon as he heard what Kizmaru had said, and as he turned around, he felt a slightly warm breeze blow passed his face from a nearby mountain pass, and so he assumed they had found it. It was not particularly hidden, but it was quite a ways for someone who was not trained to trek around for a long period of time, and luckily shinobi were trained to do that, so they could find this placer rather easily. This probably lent to the fact that this place was just somewhere to see and experience, as it seemed that the voice might have led others top the destination that it had created, just for the sole purpose of enjoying the area during the holidays, and it was.  As soon as Keita rounded the corner, he gazed upon a wonderful green area that was, like he thought, sustained by a geothermal vent, as in the center of the area was a hot springs. there were all manner of animals there simply lounging in the hot springs as well as wandering around on the sides eating what seemed to be a large amount of fruit and vegetables that were around the area. It seemed the slightly volcanic soil around the area caused these wonderful fruit to overgrow, leading this to be a prime spot for the various fauna that were in the area. It also seemed like the animals were completely ignoring their presence, or at least did not run away, but Keita was fine with that, as he had always loved animals, and this was no exception. This would be one of the few times that he was able to get close to and interact with a bunch of animals that seemed to be cute little furry creatures, and so he was over the moon about it, wondering if he should try to paint the landscape he had seen. Instead, he would keep it in his mind and maybe paint a wonderful calligraphy about it later, which might be the best way to remember this by. After taking in the scenery and tasting a few of the fruit, which were amazing, it seemed like something dinged in Keita's head, his mind went a bit fuzzy, and he was somehow back in the mission area in the mist village, with a couple of rewards in his hands, and it seemed Kizmaru was there too. Keita looked towards Kizmaru, and then nodded to him. "It seemed like this is the end of the line, I guess I'll talk to you later." Keita looked to make sure that Kizmaru also had his rewards magically delivered to him as well, and then he left after that knowing Kizmaru got his rewards.

Eventually the duo had come across a mountain pass that was exuding a warm breeze for them to feel, even through the blankets they currently wore. It had been a long search but it would be worth it nonetheless if they so happened to be rewarded by the end of this trip. Following behind Keita, they had walked into the mountain pass to reveal a green scenery with some hot springs sustained by a natural geothermal vent. Looking around, Kizmaru can tell there were a plethora of animals he's never really laid eyes on before and a lot of wild fruit and vegetables that were growing around the area. He'll admit he was impressed that they found it at all and thought it was kind of a stupid mission but alas, it was a mission. Watching Keita, he never knew h had such a fondness for animals like he does now, it was kind of amusing to see. Kizmaru on the other hand only had eyes for powerful creatures of the fighting kind so he didn't care too much for these creatures hovering around. After exploring the area a bit, they found themselves back at Kirigakure with a heavy inventory. It seems the rewards he had thought of were magically beam into his inventory.
