As Gonk moved in closer, saw Kasumi’s face turn even more red.
“Oh no! Did I mess up?” Gonk thought fearfully as he continued to bring her closer. It was too late to stop it now so he just had to hope for the best. Then, much to Gonk’s relief, he felt Kasumi’s arms wrap around his lower back. Gonk was pulled in by her embrace and felt her head bury into his hair. The two of them stood by the oasis in each other's arms, the wind ruffling their hair. Gonk lost track of time, as he stood with Kasumi, the world could be coming to an end around him, and he probably wouldn’t have noticed. Eventually, Gonk felt Kasumi’s head shift and heard her whisper in his ear. She told him that he had a nice scent and that she liked him, but wanted to take it slow.
As they pulled away Gonk smiled, “It’s good to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t know what they're doing. And you have a nice smell as well, like flowers.” Kasumi then called the Hollykage over to take them home.
“Here you two go,” he said cheerfully as he handed them each a bag. “Your rewards for this task.” Gonk opened the red bag to see some chameleon scales, glittering in the sun. Gonk cinched the bad and turned to Kasumi.
“Bye Kasumi,” he said, “and…thank you.” Gonk then watched Kasumi disappear in a flurry of snow, but to his surprise, Gonk was still at the oasis.
“Nice one kid,” the Hollykage said to Gonk winking.
“Why the hell am I still here?” Gonk asked annoyed.
“Some advice, you managed alright today, but you never know what’s going to happen.”
“Listen, I don’t need advice from a fat old man like you!”
The Hollykage sighed and looked a bit sad. “Ok then, I’ll take you home.” The Hollykage then snapped his fingers, and Gonk was home. Gonk looked out the window to see the sun towards the middle of the sky, meaning it was around noon.
“Well,” Gonk thought as he stood in his kitchen, “what should I do now?” Still a bit mad from the Hollykage, Gonk decided to take a walk on the beach to cool off and sort through what happened.
