Getting Your First Tattoo

Ishii thought that he could simply grit his teeth through the process, but it simply wasn't enough. As the seal was applied to his chest, he felt like screaming. The pain was practically unbearable, and Ishii regretted ever asking for something like this. He opened his mouth to let loose a feral cry, yet it didn't emerge from his mouth. His vision began to grow dark, and he feared the worst. He feared that this would be his final moments, that he would never escape the crushing black that was surrounding himself. The voice tutted sadly in Ishii's head.

"I know it hurts, but you'll make it through this. Just try to relax a bit. Get yourself some shuteye. You'll need it to recover from this."

It was true. Exhaustion was setting in, even through the agony that he was feeling from the application of the seal. He began to slip from the conscious world into that of the resting one. Despite the excruciating pain that he found himself in, it was peaceful, comfortable to be slipping away from this world into the next. He knew in his heart that this wasn't the end of this journey, not yet. Before he went however, his vision began to change. Masses of starry energy seemed to swirl in his eyes, changing his perception of the room and the man applying his seal. His eyes felt strange, like they were exuding and draining chakra somehow, altering his vision in some way that he had experienced before. Yet before he could expend more energy thinking about it, he was out like a light, sleeping away the seal's application.
