Task:

Hundreds of people enter Hoshigakure daily, some to accumulate knowledge, some to worship and meditate and some to simply see the sights. Your job is to stand in front of the palace gates and direct lost people where they need to go. Should they wish to pray at a certain temple, show them the way. If they are there to sightsee, recommend the best shops, restaurants and tourist attractions in Hoshigakure. Any knowledge gained from this mission is for CD only and does not necessarily reflect the actual layout of the city.

‘Well this is boring.’ The tall man at the end of the street thought as another group of people turned from him, directions to a specific church they wanted to see firmly in mind. It was late morning and the skies above were blue without a cloud in the sky to mar the perfect shade. The bright sun cast down upon the Haven Country and Hoshigakure, being the capital of the country, was illuminated by it’s warm, brilliant glow. The tall man, 6’5 to be specific, and well muscled at that, was standing at the end of a T intersection not far from the palace giving directions to any who needed it while they explored the village. He was dressed in a simple black sleeveless shirt, black shinobi pants, and black boots. His wild mane of hair was in a tail at the back of his neck and his amber eyes were vigilant if a little bored. His headband, displaying the star of Hoshigakure was displayed upon his left arm and a closely trimmed jawbeard framed his face. All in all the man had a feral edge to his appearance given the wild mane and amber eyes but he stood with the star of his nation proudly displayed so that any who saw knew he was there to direct them if necessary. 

Shinobi always directed traffic near the palace, at least lower ranked ones did. It was partially to give them something to do but it was also to give them some experience in taking orders and doing a task. As freshly trained shinobi many genin didn’t have the discipline it took to carry out such a boring task and it was missions like these that instilled that discipline into them. Well, a combination of the missions and any punishment that might be forthcoming due to said lack of discipline anyway. Madrigal however wasn’t one for impatience, he could sit and stare at the sky for hours without a care in the world so this mission didn’t really give him any pause. All he had to do was look marginally competent and helpful. At that moment a young couple moved up to him and he turned his attention to them. The woman was of average height and build with brown hair and gray eyes. Pretty in a wholesome, plain, kind of way. The male was well groomed and polite, standing at 6 foot nothing and he flashed them both a small smile. “Yes? Is there something I can help you with?” He would ask politely, a slight tilt to his head as he asked the question. “Can you direct us to the Water Gardens sir?” She would ask, a small shy smile on her features before he nodded his head to her and pointed down the street to his right. “Take this road down to its end, then take a left and follow that road until you start seeing the signs. They’ll direct you to the main entrance to the Water Gardens.” He would say, his tone polite. They would nod in thanks before turning and following his directions and he would continue to stand there ready to give directions for the next few hours before returning home.
