Volunteer Work

After purchasing his ill gotten good, Kizmaru decided to meet back up with Keita and his animal companion, Ram. Now that he had the thing he wanted, all he had to do now was find a secure location in order to begin the operation. if he remembered correctly, Keita was skilled enough in the medical arts to which he could safely perform the surgery. The only problem they had was the small matter of tools. If he searched around hard enough, maybe they could find some in an attempt to help with the operation they were about to proceed with. Even before that, they'd have to find some place secluded in order to perform said operation. Roaming around in his Jounin appearance with the gang, he had stumbled upon a little gathering of civilians. Walking over to the gathering of people, Kizmaru decided to ask around to see what was going on. A young woman had informed him this place was technically a hospital as there was a new hospital being built in the making but for now, this was the only viable option of being able to treat the sick and the wounded. Staring at the gathering, examining them a bit more thoroughly this time around, Kizmaru could indeed see potentially injured and some sick people out in the open.

Well, it was too bad to hear as well as strange considering this was one of the bigger nations. Did they not have more than one hospital in the entirety of the nation's capital. Well, that wasn't his problem as he just wanted to check it out for some reason or the other. The woman then asked if Kizmaru and his friend, Keita were going to volunteer in helping out the sick and the wounded. At first, Kizmaru declined but then an idea occurred to him before he could decline the offer. Instead, he decided he would take up the woman's offer in volunteering as his friend was an experienced medical practitioner and was too bad in the medical arts as long as they weren't very severe. Just basic first aid and stabilization when the situation calls for it if certain wounds and diseases weren't too fatal. The young woman was ecstatic to hear this as he began to lead the three of them down the street in order to show them to some private tents where they tended to the sick and the wounded. 

After a brief explanation of what needed to be done, the woman was called away in order to tend to some other business. Before she left however she had left a list of where to go for certain supplies if they were needed, what patients to attend to and what empty rooms were available in order to escort new patients into. Giving a nod as she walked away, Kizmaru began to review the contents of the list carefully before immediately going to one of the rooms deemed empty for a patient. After inspecting the tent room, inside and outside, Kizmaru placed both of his hands together and began to make the hand signs of Tiger, Dog, Snake, Dragon and Boar. Afterwards, he'd outstretch his left arm in order to form two wood clones in his current disguise in order to take up some roles before sending one of them out of the room. Keeping them in the room as a guard and having one posted outside of the tent in order to keep other people at bay from entering unexpectedly. They were about to do something illegal after all. Kizmaru also gave Ram a simple command of keeping track of any nearby move that happens to be closing in on the tent they were in. Ram nodded in his purple chronos disguise before remaining near the clone keeping his feet on the ground in order to pick up the vibrations of people currently outside of the tent.

When all was said and done, Kizmaru released the transformation technique he'd been walking around town to reveal himself in his red, steam armor with his adaptive petrification gauntlets. They also happened to be red at the moment considering it was pretending to be part of the steam armor. Beginning to detach the gauntlets from the armor, Kizmaru had taken around ten minutes or or so to unfasten the armor entirely from his body into his normal attire. he never really took the armor off unless he was resting in his own home village and never realized how much of a pain this was without somebody's help. He thought maybe he should invent a technique that allows him to shed or put on his armor at will.  Afterwards, he'd turn to Keita in order to explain to him what was going after all this time, should he be in the room with him. It was quite funny he decided to brief on what was going on now but all things considered, he couldn't really find the right time or place to talk about it. Beginning to explain his plan, he figured there wasn't really much to say as they've already made it this far without much of an explanation. So instead, he decided to had Keita the jar with a Jugo spleen floating around in some unknown medical liquids. 

After handing him the jar, he explained to him this was the final piece he needed in order to finish augmenting his own abilities and requested for him to do the surgery while he was awake without the need of being put under. He'd still like something to dull or nullify the pain if he could help it so he didn't scream or fidget when the operation was being conducted. With that, Kizmaru had begun to lay in a nearby stretcher that had been used as a makeshift bed in order to begin the operation. He wouldn't close his eyes but he'd try his best to not look at where he'd most likely be cut open but he'd try to think of other things that might make him happy or take his mind off of what was about to happen.

Keita was traveling around in Hoshi in his transformed disguise, taking in the new sights and smells of where they were walking. It seemed that this village was more of a city, and there were quite a few people that he had walked around that appeared to be quite pious in nature, from their mannerisms to the prayers that they muttered under their breaths from time to time. Keita wondered what sort of religion they actually worshipped, but it was more of a fleeting afterthought, as they had more important business to attend to. Keita had been following Kizmaru along a path that led to the nearby hospital, as they had heard that it needed a lot of volunteers, and since Keita knew medical ninjutsu to a sufficient degree, they might as well go over there and see if they could help out some people. This was not the main concern, but it was something that Keita thought they might actually do, depending on the circumstances of their time ion the hospital that they had entered. It seemed like a hastily made makeshift hospital, people with gowns all over the place, and it seemed that they were indeed quite busy, and Keita wondered to himself why there were so many injured people here all the time. He wanted to chalk it up to the religious people of the village not liking how shinobis did things, and even in more extreme cases, the shinobi themselves. There were people scrambling around, not really sure about what they were doing it seemed, as there were a large amount of sick and injured people here, and apparently a new hospital was being buuilt, but the process was apparently slow going, as these people had to scramble around to get seen.

Keita continued following Kizmaru into the medical area that was set up while the hospital was being built, and saw a couple of people who appeared to be nurses. Once they had walked up to them, one of them broke off and came to them, asking if they were here to volunteer to help out, and Keita simply nodded and gave a small grunt, as this was the persona he was disguised as currently. They walked through the throngs of people after they had confirmed that they were there to help, and soon were led over to some tents off to the side, that seemed to be more private, for patients that had problems or needed surgery or the like. The place was fairly clean and kept up, as Keita looked around and could not find any grievous offenses in terms of germs, organization, or the like. After a brief explanation as to what they were going to go around doing, there was a time where they were left alone, and Keita immediately started forming hand seals. He then decided against it, as the jutsu that he was about to use would probably be more glaring in the eyes of any hyuuga or other sensory specialist that happened to be wandering around in the area. He chose not to do that so that when he was operating on Kizmaru, there would be no difference as operating on another citizen. Scenes like this were happening all over the place in the area that they were in, so them doing the exact same thing was highly unlikely to draw unnecessary attention. Kizmaru grabbed a small stretcher like table that seemed to be for use when people in here were being operated on, and so he laid down on it and told Keita to get to work. 

Keita nodded, and then started to perform some other hand seals, his previous jutsu was not something that he wanted to perform right now, so this new set of hand seals were for two different jutsu. Hare, ox, and monkey hand seals were performed in one hand with his mastery over one handed seals, and in his other hand, it was snake, ox, tiger, ram, and rat seals. As Kizmaru was lying down, Keita looked at the organ that was presented to him earlier, and he was going to be quick, as this was a spleen, the incision would have to be right under the rib cage, but he could do that fairly easily with his speed and precision. Keita touched the area under Kizmaru's rib cage and used his first jutsu, which was a chakra anesthetic, which would immediately cause that area of his body to become numb and unfeeling towards pain. Keita did not want to use the scalpels here because he did not think that they were very sterile, so he suddenly had two chain made of pure chakra form out of his right arm, and kept them about one meter in length. At the end of one of the chains was a spearhead, as he chose that style for this particular chain, while the other one was normal. They links that made up the chain were very small, and so was good for this operation.. His other jutsu he had performed was mystical palm, although that was unnecessary right now, but it was good to have it prepared. Keita then swiftly made a relatively small incision in Kizmaru's side, while Keita used mystical palm to staunch the bleeding nearly instantly. The both chains were inserted into the incision, while Keita held the incision open with his hand. 

It was quick work to detach the spleen that was currently there with a swift cut from the chakra chain, and then have the other one pull it out. Then Keita grabbed the spleen out of the jar it was in, before transferring Kizmaru's spleen into the jar, essentially swapping them. Then the chains went back into the wound and put the new spleen in there before using mystical palm to attach it to his organs and hopefully help out with the grafting process. With this done, there was now nothing that was evidence of anything of the sort happening. The wound was completely healed and closed up, and there was no way to tell what sort of bloodline the spleen in the jar had, and Keita was pretty sure there were no laws about just carrying a spleen with you, which, while a bit morbid, probably was not illegal, considering when they got there the gate guards hocked his wares to them, that included body parts. With this, Kizmaru should be fine, his anesthetic wearing off in a couple of minutes. Keita would simply help Kizmaru put his armor on, before leaving, preferably with Kizmaru with him. As they were walking out, Keita made sure to place another seal on Kizmaru, which was the Oxygen bottle seal, as he had used it previously, as well as putting another Seal of Absorption on himself, as it was always good to be prepared.

Laying on the table, Kizmaru was ready for the operation to begin. With his earlier request taken into account, Keita hadn't put him to sleep but used a technique in order to temporarily kill the pain receptors in a certain part of his body. Laying there, all he could do was wait until Keita was done with the procedure. He decided against looking at the operation taking place as he was definitely not interested in seeing his own innards out in the open like that and opted to turn his head towards another direction of the room. Waiting for what seems like hours, Keita had finished the operation of implanting the new Jugo spleen in his body. He wasn't sure how long it would take before it adapted to his body but he hoped it wouldn't take too long. On top of that, he had received information that Jugo genetics were a little tricky. Supposedly, it grants individuals so much power that people go insane half of the time. Admittedly, he was a bit worried about that happening in random moments of his life, especially in places where he had to be civil. He'd hoped to be able to maintain his composure and hold back the murderous intent that comes over him when the genetics finally take to his own body. 



Getting up off of the stretcher, Kizmaru winced a bit as the feeling of pain was now returning to him. it seems Keita placed another one of those oxygen bottle seals on his body. This seal was a boon to him in his fight with the former Kazekage as he was able to by time by staying underneath the water that rushed in so he didn't mind having it on him. He figured he'd have to learn it himself and place it on him as he would at least be able to strengthen its potency if he placed it on himself. For now though, he'd just try and walk off the stinging sensation he felt from where he had recently just got his transplant. For now, he'd just focus on putting back on his equipment and getting out of here. With the aid of Keita, he was able to quickly put his armor back on, dispelling both of the clones he made previously to keep a lookout and guard the area. He'd then weave the hand sign of dog in order to transform into himself but as a Jounin of Kirigakure instead of the Mizukage. Not only did it conceal his legendary equipment but it served to hide his status.



Now he just looks as he was if he was just wearing his regular attire which consisted of a yellow button down shirt, navy blue pants, ninja tabi, black leather gloves and a navy blue light jacket. Half of his face would now be covered with what looks like a black, steel, face mask, up to his hose. It was part of his armor but he figured he could get away with this at least since it wasn't unpopular for shinobi to do so. Kizmaru then picked up the jar containing his original spleen and pondered on what he should do with it. He figured only time would tell as he was sure Keita wasn't interested in having body parts that weren't his own and decided to be pure of blood. It was a funny concept Kizmaru as he didn't understand why people wouldn't jump at the chance to use other means of obtaining powers that one could never have normally. He understood the risks it carries so Kizmaru decided this would be the last time he'd implement such dangerous practices into his own body and learn to make do with what he has.



Finishing up with his business here, Kizmaru picked up the jar in order to see the contents of it. He found it quite surreal that the spleen now floating in the medical goop used to be something he was born with. He almost didn't want to part with this as it wasn't going into another person this time around. At least when he did his first transplant, it went into a Terumi that he had a brotherly bond with and decided at that moment it was fine. That Terumi allowed him to pretend he was also Terumi though he didn't know very many Lava techniques nor did he have access to the advanced element known as Boil release. He figured he'd have to do something about that one day but he decided he'd take it one step at a time. Taking the jar and the list the woman gave him earlier, Kizmaru decided it would be better to just carry it around as they were technically in a medical area and nobody would quest them walking around with a body part in hand, or so he assumed. He'd feel safer if he could find some sort of medical cooler instead to transplant the organ.



Looking at the list, it had given him an idea of where he might be able to find such a thing and Kizmaru decided he'd take a small detour in order to go find said bag in a different place. Upon arrival, he found the tent was larger than normal and it housed most of the medical supplies and other miscellaneous things one might need for care. Walking into the tent, he found he wasn't alone as there were others just grabbing stuff, writing their names down and the items they took before leaving. It was being supervised but the guard didn't seem to be too diligent in doing so. When it came time for him to take a medical cooler and write down his name, he decided he'd write a random damn and wrote he was a random resident in a random area of Hoshigakure. Well, this was easier than he thought and he figured he'd have to make some sort of elaborate scheme in order to get out or something. After that, Kizmaru swapped the jar for the medical cooler and decided he felt a lot more comfortable just walking around with the thing in hand. Afterwards, him, Keita and Ram all exited the premise together.
