The Roots of a Tau

Daiko made his way to the gates of Kirigakure. He had been feeling this urge for so long. He wanted to wander off into nowhere, find somewhere to wipe his mouth with stale liquor. The bars around here were nice, yes... But Daiko wasn't looking for nice right now. Though his appearance was the same as always, disinterested face and all, he felt a brooding building deep inside of him. He hadn't been acting like a ninja lately... He had just been acting like a run-of-the-mill villager. He didn't like the feeling of his talent stagnating behind a gate and wanted to see the world, even if for just a moment...

Approaching the gates, Daiko looks up at the sky. It was around midday, maybe a little later. He had a couple of outskirting towns on the borders in mind, though there wasn't much other than that. Approaching the gates, he looks into the little booth to see whom he had to talk to. Blinking for a moment, he would give them all the information they needed, and then begin to head through the gates.

"WElcome to kiri. Welcome to kiri. Welcome to kiri! " Pinochio absolutely hated this. It was apparently his turn for gate duty, and the genin was abosolutely bored. The only thing that could be worse than this would be if he saw someone who he really apreciated and wanted to spend more time with deciding to leave the village so that they would be out of reach. As always I must point out that this is forshadowing. He barelly noticed the tau boy as he approached the gates. He was coming from the wrong way. If he continued, he'd be past Pinochio before he'd even noticed. This sounded worse than it actually was. Of course, were someone trying to flee, running quickly towards the gates with people following hot on their heels, then pinochio would have easily noticed. That wasn't what happened. His friend with a stitch worthy body was simply strolling out.

"Hey daiko!!! You heading out for a bit? We gotta hit the bar or the gym some time!" He really hoped that the answer was no. Why would he be leaving a place like Kiri? Sure Saya could be quite the handful but he'd semed to deal with her quite well. He figured in the end it didn't really matter. He wasn't a ninja of the village. He had no responsibility to the village outside of the missions he chose to take, so there was no reason to stop him .

"I. Uh. If you're busy and gotta go take care of something have a good day I guess. HOpefully you come back soon!" He didn't want to bother the boy. He really wanted to take some time and catch up, maybe spend some time training and just generally have someone to make this day more interesting, but Daiko was clearly a man on a mission.

Unless interupted, He'd return to his job. THere was a group of ten people approaching for entrance. There were five kids, two young adults, and what seemed to be a father. Everything seemed up to snuff, but pinochio stepped forward anyway.

"Drop the contraband, ditch the weapons, and stop trying to smuggle things into the village. WE've talked about this joe. It doesn't matter how many kids you borrow to make your story seem more legit, I'm not going to let you in this village and neither is anyone else on my team. The village is well aware of what you're trying to accomplish, and we will not stand for it. " There was a chorus of 'awe shucks' from the group as they each turned around. each removed an over sized jacket, revealing weaponry and clearly illegal substances. They piled the items up in a box marked 'stuff that isn't allowed to be here' and turned back to their homes in the borders. Not on pinochio's watch.

"Heck I really need to get a drink. Shoulda packed a meal. Gosh I hate this. " It would be a long and busy day, but pinochio had the skill to do the job.

Daiko nods at the man, the myth, the legend, Pinoch, and continues on through. "Yeah... We probably should hit the gym some time. I can't promise I'll be of any help as a spotting partner though..." At that, Daiko would head towards the borders of Kirigakure. He had to blow off some steam SOMEHOW.

"YES!!!! OH. MY. GOSH. We can even go to the bar and do pull up shots! thats where you put a bunch of shots on the top of a doorway and you pull up, then hold until you take the shot and then go back down. I can do three before the room starts to spin" That made him feel a bit better. He probably had some important misson form the mizukage that required him to go out of the village for a little bit. Several people were waved through as daiko disappeared into the horizon. He knew them from previous trips. When a group of kindergardeners approached, he let out a sigh. He wouldn't be able to watch his friend leave if he needed to check every one of these little kids into the village. Where was there even an elementary school in kiri?! This day just got so much worse.
