Everything around Tsubaki seemed foggy. She couldn't see more than a couple of meters in front of her, all she could hear were the sounds of hot rushing water, but she couldn't find where the sound was coming from. The only thing she could see was the plane cold stone she stood on that seemed to go on forever. Her mind was filled with confusion and fear as she wandered aimlessly.

Things would escalate as a single scream pierced through the nothingness, a familiar sound of a young boy. Tsubaki attempted to run to the sound but didn't seem to get anywhere. After the single scream soon into multiple more screams of familiar voices; a choir of suffering. The fog the clogged her vision would soon clear up and reveal a path of bodies. These bodies were familiar faces: Tadashi, Ayato, Mads, Geb, Kuniko, Mizu. She knew they were dead without seeing any injuries or checking vitals. 

The path would lead to a dark figure; a shadow. As soon as she noticed the figure, Tsubaki seemed to reclaim her body and gained more clarity in her movements. Without conversation or explanation, she knew that this figure was responsible for this pain. With a new ability of her motion Tsubaki knew what she needed to do. Defeat this figure. 

Tsubaki had no idea that in reality, this was a dream state that the Jashin Cult had created in order to claim more victims in vulnerable states. Fortunately for Tsubaki, her fighting spirit allowed her to defend against some of the effects of the spell while remaining in the dream world, giving her a fighting chance against this attack. A Jashin had snuck into her home as she was placed in that technique, finding her asleep on her couch in her main living area.

The choir of voices thins as Tsubaki advances past their owners' bodies. There is only one left by the end, the increasingly less distant moans and sobs of a woman she doesn't recognize. The fog thins as Tsubaki approaches, but the figure in the dark is still inscrutable until she nears further, apparently advancing further and further in her newly-realized quest to stop this thing.

Once Tsubaki reaches five meters from the figures, her pale face becomes clear, frenzied wide eyes and gash of a mouth, dark hair cascading around her. Tsubaki will know immediately what she sees - a vengeful spirit of pain and grief, a spirit that has graced countless ghost stories she and her contemporaries would have heard of in her youth. It's when Tsubaki reaches this five-meter point that the spirit's Ninshu activates, connecting them through the spirit's sense of Tsubaki's chakra.

Sadness floods Tsubaki's awareness - the story of this ghost in flashes of emotion and memory. Incalculable loss. Now, it is only able to suffer and cause suffering in turn. The moment after this wave of psychic pain rolls over Tsubaki, that dark gash of the ghost's mouth widens, and she screams.

A blast of white fire bursts from the spirit as a Blast Wave with a Power and Speed of 90. The wave of fire chakra will travel to a fifteen meter radius around the ghost before dissipating, the ghost's cry echoing through the nightmare. At the same time she starts that wailing burst of flame, her long-nailed hands pull together as if tugged by strings, or if she had forgotten how to use them. With stiff yet eerily quick movements (her usual speed of 65), she runs through the handseals Dog - Bird - Hare - Monkey - Horse, and vanishes from view. At the same time, she activates Quiet Footsteps to render her both silent and translucent and begins to stalk forward directly in the wake of her wave of flame if there is no counterattack in play.

Dark eyes watching for signs of resistance from her newest victim, the now-invisible ghost will stalk six meters to Tsubaki's left, circling around like a predator to make sure she is to the woman's side no matter how she turns or runs.

The figure's details got more defined as Tsubaki gets closer. It was a feminine ghostly figure with long stringy black hair and color drained skin. She was the definition of torment and sadness, like the feeling of losing a loved one. It was the decay of the psyche and nemesis to fruitfulness. 

Tsubaki was only mere meters away from it, 5 meters to be exact. She could feel the figure's pain as if it had sent her chakra that was reaching out to Tsu's mind. The chakra felt cold and draining her morale making her feel. The Senju couldn't help but shed some tears and tremble as she saw it. The hot tears streamed down her cheek and down her chin. She wasn't immune to pain; the dreading feeling of loss. However, she knew that it would get the best of her. In her sadness, she found the strength to progress. She stared into the pathetic eyes of the ghost,  "Let my tears water the tree that will grow into the badass woman she is meant to be." As she stares into the heart of the creature, she makes a loud scream which turns into white-hot flames cascading towards her. 

With a surge of adrenaline and newfound strength, Tsubaki would weave  Dragon-Ram-Horse-Monkey-Boar-Ram (50 speed). This would create a pink barrier that had the image of a rose in front of Tsubaki (105 speed and power). The white flames would clash with the barrier, causing the flames to part and move around Tsubaki harmlessly. 

At the same time as the flames were being sent out, the ghostly figure was also weaving additional hand signs for something else. So as Tsubaki was weaving hand seals for the Pink Rose Barrier technique, the ghost would start to disappear. "Oh no you don't!" She would cry. Immediately after weaving and activating the Pink Rose barrier Techinque, she would weave hand seals Boar-Tiger-Ox-Dragon-Monkey-Bird. A small swamp would start to form underneath the pink barrier (1 meter away from Tsu) rapidly start expanding outwards (65 power and speed). In total going 13 meters out from around the point of origin. Tsubaki would be able to walk on it harmlessly using the surface walking technique, but if her opponent were to get caught in the swamp it would stick to them and start dragging them to the bottom of the pit.

HP and State stuff:

The ghost hisses in rage as the woman manages to protect herself, a hand locking into the Seal of Confrontation at the same time Tsubaki begins making signs to form her Swamp of the Underworld. There is only the faint hiss of cold air to signal that she has activated Wind Rejuvenation, given that her grave-dirty clothes are concealed from vision.

Now with a Speed of 115, she charts a similar course, moving to Tsubaki's left to avoid both a reflection of her Blast Wave and the growing pool of mud on the ground. In order to avoid the swamp, she circles around (careful to go around the mud) to a point 25m directly to Tsubaki's left, at which point she will stop for the time being.

If Tsubaki is still standing at that point, the ghost will weave the seals Rat, Ox, Dog, Horse, Monkey, Boar, and Tiger. Tsubaki will see a stream of white flame barrel towards her, aiming directly underneath her shield (or one meter in front of her, if the shield is gone). Upon the end of the flame making contact with the ground, the technique will detonate, fierce white flame expanding from that point to a 20m radius at a Speed and Power of 130.

If Tsubaki has moved, the ghost will move to maintain her relative position 25m to her left before launching the technique as above. In either case, she watches out for new techniques from the woman, ready to react appropriately.

Tsubaki stood towards the center of the expanding swamp. After her shield protected her from the fire, the ghost remained invisible using that damned technique. Tsubaki's sensory ability was only subpar at the moment, she wouldn't be able to find her using chakra sensory. The swamp would hopefully protect her from any close combat attacks and would allow her to notice any long-ranged attacks before they happen. 

The Senju gazed around the area waiting for the ghost to show herself. She would then hear the loud sound of roaring fire building up to her left 25 meters. There she is, Tsubaki thought to herself. The fire stream was moving quickly. She weaved Ram -Tiger-Boar and avoided the stream and eventual explosion by being submerging into the swamp (50 speed). She was only about 5 meters under her original spot. She wasn't able to sense the ghost, but she knew based on the projection of the fire stream that she was 25 meters away. 

After submerging under the swamp using the Hiding like a Mole technique, she would activate her curse mark (+50 vigor and speed, +100 ap). The curse mark looked like vines with thorns constricting around her chest, face, and right arm. Due to the new natural energy entering her body, there was a 50% she would be paralyzed for a short while. 

Should the curse mark not cause paralysis, Tsubaki would start weaving Snake-Rat-Ox-Tiger under the ground. A sea of trees would start appearing above ground at a range of 20 meters from where Tsubaki was under the ground(speed 80, health 80). The trees would stand 5 meters tall and 2 meters thick. After weaving hand signs for Sea of Trees, Tsubaki would then weave Tiger- Dog -Snake -Dragon -Boar summon a wood clone of herself from one of the trees 20 meters away (95 speed). The clone would be summoned on the top part of the tree and watch for any sign of the demon. 

If the curse mark causes paralysis then Tsubaki wouldn't be able to do anything and wait for the paralysis to wear off.

Now, where has this tricky lass gone?

The white flame bursts on contact with the swamp into a spreading maelstrom of white fire. The intensity of the flames quickly causes the air to fill with steam as the flame boils the swamp and begins to form a crater with Tsubaki trapped inside, dealing 130 damage to her in her trapped position from intense flame and boiling mud. She's going to have to move, and fast, or she's going to be ninja soup, with the flames continuing to clear away the swamp hiding her. The phantom maintains her handseal, allowing her stealth and enhancement techniques to melt away with her quarry out of sight.

For the moment, due to having little idea of where Tsubaki is hiding, the ghost maintains the technique, content for the moment to boil away the sticky mire of mud so it does not trouble her later.

OOC: Claiming a hit on the basis of this line from Majestic Fire Destruction: 'Jutsu that come in contact with this technique and have power less than Jutsu power will be destroyed and go on CD due to being overpowered by the flames.' Tsubaki is currently in the middle of the Swamp of the Underworld (being 5m down from her starting position), and it follows that Majestic Fire Destruction would consume the other technique to destroy it and set it on cooldown, therefor if she is stuck in the middle of that clash she'd be caught in the crossfire.

Occ: Would like to request a battle mod ruling. My argument is that since the jutsu has no crater effect, it would only effect and spread across the surface, leaving Tsubaki free from damage but causing the swamp surface to dry up and deactivate.
