The rogue fragments of Jashin's nightmare from nearly a month ago shattered inelegantly. She was in her apartment- not Yugakure- and her empty lung throbbed in response in time with her heart. It took a few moments to calm down.

Her heart continued to throb. She returned to awareness slowly, and then she realized that oh shit, that Kaguya thing happened again. There wasn't a body- nor was there any ash to sweep up- but the front of her body was painted red, with splatters seeming to source from her chest and most prevalent around her hands.

Her hands?

There was a heart.

Part of her instinctively knew it was hers.

Who could she trust with this? There was one medic in the village, but she clearly couldn't go to him about this. Her torso felt heavy but otherwise seemed... mostly normal. If anything, it felt warm.

She didn't trust this at all. But there wasn't anything she could do right now, was there?

With a sigh, she sealed the organ away in a scroll and put it in her storage displacement pocket dimension. Might as well get a head start on cleaning...
