The Good, the Bad, and the Hyuugly

Damon dragged their bodies closer to the doors, only to have an arrow from an overly excited marksman sprout in the doorframe. If he continued to move them out there, they would just get picked off from the windows. The swamp would only buy them a little bit of time, but it was easily recognized and countered. It would not be long before they found a way around it. He turned back from where Komon’s body had been recovered, only to see guards using their comrades as stepping stones. Neither his former companion nor the newly acquired one seemed to be in the best of shape for the onslaught of prison guards convening upon their location. Gritting his teeth, the Uchiha cast his gaze around them in a circle. Black flames sprang from wherever he looked, burning along the doorway and melting the loosed arrow, as well as consuming a new volley that was fired at its creation. He shifted his eyes to the swamp, a wall of black fire emerging to consume any who approached it. Now, it was his eyes that bled once again. As the last man standing, Damon refused to allow his body to forfeit, the way that Yurei’s had, either through sheer stubbornness or adrenaline. Blood dripped off his chin onto the floor as his knees buckled under the weight, bringing Komon and Yurei down to their knees as well. He set them down gently, looking at Yurei and lightly tapping his face. He called out his name several times, trying to shake him back to consciousness. The pale boy blinked a few times as his eyes met the fire. This seemed enough for him to gather the last of his strength as reality swirled around the trio once again. His eyes would blink, fighting off the overwhelming feeling of exhaustion. Only upon the cold touch of the air inside Kamui, would he allow his eyes to remain shut as he came to a rest.
