Peering out through the eyes of the Lover, now being able to fully see what lie ahead, there was a couple things taking place. Not placing too much focus into one specific thing in order to not have the weight of being heavily distracted by something, the first thing that would be dealt with was Karo. With him standing in the river of mud itself, there wasn’t really any particular problem with that; the Widow was already levitating 1 meter from the ground. So that piece of information didn’t have any sort of play on what was about to go down. However, what did put a change into the plans was the formation of handseals by that shinobi. As soon as the first one was formed, the puppet would come to a halt 20 meters away from the one doing them on his (Karo’s) right hand side, unsure of what technique was about to happen. The Widow would wait there, floating, a single katana within it’s grasp waiting for the right opportunity to strike as a dome shaped blast of fire would shoot out in all directions surrounding Karo. Luckily enough, the puppet was out of that tech’s range and with how it was positioned, the tree didn’t fall anywhere near it. Once the blaze had reached it’s end, the construct would lunge forward with a simple attack, aiming to slice at the ginger’s left leg once the 20 meter gap would be closed between the two. Avoiding both the flowing river of liquid earth and burning flames by rising another meter in the air; now placing it 2 meters above the ground.

Now onto the other matter at hand. While that was simultaneously taking place, the other long haired lad had made one thing clear upon leaving the smoke; he had made clones of himself while within. Which one was the real one? That was still to be determined. Regardless, quickly glancing over at the incoming guy, a profitable mistake had been made within their plan of attack launched at Kin. Unbeknownst to them, the 20 meter leap in which they took would end up being their greatest downfall. Taking this advantage, as soon as the man would get within 15 meters of the Lover, the sword which once was previously tucked inside the Widow and now was lying on the ground would rise up using two invisible chakra threads. Knowing that the trajectory of the man wouldn’t be able to change mid air, in that same split second, the katana arm would lunge forward, slicing at the poor dude’s mid section.

It was now also clear that the sound from behind was simply a ploy. For now at least for it hadn’t been heard since that last time. Whichever way the cookie would crumble, with prior knowledge that if this was the basic clone technique, it would certainly be ending soon. This in turn would reveal where the real Jupiter was. Had it been shown that the two actually in front where the clones, and the one from behind was the real one, Kin would be prepared for an attempted surprise hit.

They’re making this too easy He thought to himself, while safely still being hidden within the one puppet.

Everyone seemed to be on him like moths to a single burning flame. Yet he didn’t exactly mind it that everyone else was so close to him. Yet first he had to deal with the puppet that went to try and slash at his leg. Seeing as how the puppet could suddenly stop and go with a flick of the user's fingers. Not only that but it meant that kin could react to the hand seals from over 50 meters away, Karo could only end up taking the slash towards his leg, yet thankfully for him, the soul expulsion technique had indeed come in handy. What would also come in hand was that while the puppet had tried to slash him. He seemed to be inside of a massive pickle, especially since he was being double teamed like this. One of his AOE attacks gone now, he knew that this certainly was going to be hard to react to in time. So he did something rather ballsy as well, which was that right after the blast wave had ended and the puppet went back in for another attack. Karo immediately took action by weaving hand seals towards his side, going to try and take the attack as his shield ended up protecting him from any actual damage. Which meant he was actually ready to launch a jutsu towards the both of them in an instant.

Immediately pooling his chakra from his stomach into his own mouth. Karo formed a massive fireball that was about ten meters in diameter. Absolutely incinerated the puppet since it had not moved from its own position at all. Meaning it was simply behind Karo right after slashing his leg. Which meant that the fireball jutsu should hit, especially with Jupiter also distracting Kin in that very same moment. Not only that but the ground hardened back to its original form when the earth flowing river had ended. Meaning that Karo had stable ground to work off of as it would seem Jupiter would run face first into the fireball jutsu that was being shot out as well. Yet Karo could only move himself diagonally backwards to his left. Moving 20 meters in that direction and making him ten meters closer towards Kin. As he was now 25 meters away from Kin and 35 meters away from Jupiter at this point as well. To which Karo had decided to try and end things now that he was in range.

Raising his hand immediately towards Kin now that he was only 25 meters away and dealing with Jupiter or one of his clones. It meant that Karo could fire off what he was saving for this entire time. As his hand raised upwards. IMmediately a ball of red chakra formed inside of his hand. Karo however didn’t need to form hand seals for this massive blast. Instead firing it immediately towards Kin as to destroy that stationary puppet as well. The Cero moved with incredible speed, especially for one that didn’t require hand seals it seemed. Karo wanted to make sure those puppets were at least off of the battlefield. As it seemed his opponent didn't have much going for him besides those two puppets.

By the sharp edge of a blade and the scorching blaze of a ball of fire, both the clones that Jupiter had spawned simultaneously dissipated into a thin puff of smoke. One would appear to meet its end at the hands of Karo, vanishing at the very instant that the red hot ball of flames made contact with its non-solid body. The other would unravel just as the Katana on the floor would come swinging at his midsection and make contact, slicing right through the puff of smoke that followed. Although an unseasoned spectator could mistake their elimination to have been the result of the attacks from Karo and Kin, the accurate, technical reason for their vanishing was that the shinobi who had cast them using the basic clone technique was limited by an inherent clause in the technique that had set a timer on his clones at the time of their creation. Techniques were weird in this way and their technicalities were sometimes subjected to alteration, even long after shinobi had mastered them. The timing of their obliteration had been deliberately designed to lie to the opposing Genin about Jupiter's strengths and weaknesses. Had they been solid clones, their dissipations by the hands of the two Genin would indicate that a fireball from Karo's mouth or even a basic attack with Kin's sword would be enough to eliminate the real Jupiter.

Sensing that his clones were about to dissipate, Jupiter made his move at the split second right before they vanished. Sprinting along the slope of the arena, he emerged from the edge running at first in Karo's direction at a speed of 46. Just as he crept back onto the surface and made the first few strides, was when Karo was beginning to close the distance between himself and Kin after dealing with Jupiter's clone. The massive fireball that the red haired shinobi had fired in the direction of Jupiter's clone and The Widow had incinerated another patch of the terrain. In fact, a circular patch of the terrain with a radius of 2 meters was rapidly lighting up 30 meters ahead of the position that Karo had fired the technique from - in the straight line between himself and The Widow. The distance between the edge of the ring and Kin was 75 meters, thus allowing the original distance between the real Jupiter and Karo to be the distance equal to the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle with its base being the distance between Karo and The Lover - closing in on 25 meters -- and its height being the length of the straight line between Kin and Jupiter -- starting at 75 meters. This put the displacement between Jupiter and Karo at about 79 meters when he fired the concentrated ball of energy in Kin's direction. As he took his strides, he spotted Karo in his cloak of energy fixing his gaze on Kin. Sensing the looming danger ahead, he was forced into reevaluating his original plan.

He would slip his right hand into his ninja pouch and continue on his path for 26 meters, and then fire two kunai at the puppeteer. His middle and index fingers were hooked on the rings of the two kunai, and one of the two sharp weapons had an exploding tag tied to its ring. When he launched his weapons, there was a subtle stagger between his throws. The first kunai with the exploding tag attached would travel a mere 11 meters at a speed of 23 before piercing the ground between the two shinobi at that distance. The second projectile would move significantly faster, and further, rapidly covering a distance of 24 meters towards The Lover at a speed of 46. Instead of continuing his beeline at the puppeteer, he would then alter his path to run at a 45 degree angle away from the original straight line path, running 25 meters towards his (Jupiter's) right at a speed of 96. The beat of his sprint was now different from before. He was much faster. The rhythm of his steps was slightly offbeat, and his form was a little questionable.

On pure instincts alone which was a necessity for any good puppeteer using multiple puppets, the invisible chakra threads would be pulled backwards, reeling in the Widow towards the Lover after feeling there was a confirmed hit. During this time, the clone that was flying through the air would also get slashed, feeling the sting of the arm katana, and it would go poof. All in the nick of time to glance back over in Karo’s direction to notice that a huge fireball was coming for the Widow. To avoid the oncoming onslaught of that, the puppet it was coming for would then be made to go in a diagnol direction towards it’s right, narrowly avoiding the edge of the ball as it would pass by.

Once more, footsteps from the opposite direction could be heard again, at first making their way towards Kin. In order to get a better view where everyone was, the Lover would be moved 5 meters diagonally backwards and to the right; where it would be met with the Widow shortly after. Within that field of view now, the other running genin could be seen with weapons in his grasp. On the other hand, the ginger was now seen 30 meters away from Kin, letting another, smaller orb be thrown from the palm of his hand. Being no stranger to fire techniques that had an explosion like effect, the 22 year old knew that a small blaze such as that would certainly have that caveat due to it lacking in sheer size like the previous. To test this theory, the blade which sliced at the jesus clone from earlier would be launched towards the incoming sphere of chakra. If contact was made, the theory would be confirmed true, the technique would be seen exploding outwards to a radius of 15 meters. Quickly, just to be safe, Kin would move another 2 meters backwards with both puppets, dodging out of harm’s way once more. Though, the Widow’s one arm which was used to trigger this would be destroyed in the process, and the sword that the puppet was holding itself would be put back into it’s place.

From there, the noble would take up a defensive position instead, seeing how the duo competing against him had begun to go on the offensive.

Since the Fireball was already expanding before the widow had time to even be pulled towards wherever it was going diagonally, and also that the puppet would have been fairly close towards where Karo was even after the sudden slash to his leg. The fireball would have made contact with the puppet. Especially since Karo casted the fireball jutsu right after the puppet made contact with his now bleeding leg. He hadn’t had time to register the pain when it came to his leg as he had fired the jutsu itself directly towards the Puppet. But that was not the important part of the match itself. What was important was indeed the second action that Karo had done in order to attempt to finish off the puppet that Kin was currently inside of.

It had been this very same puppet that would attempt to try and launch a Katana as the Cero was already approaching Kin. Especially since Karo did not need time to wind up the attack in the first place. It was rather easy to see that the Cero’s explosion would also have hit Kin regardless of if the Katana made contact with it. As the Cero was five meters away from Kin at this point when the Katana eventually came out towards the Cero. The massive explosion, which was 15 meters in Radius, should hit the puppet user full on and destroy that Lover puppet he was indeed hiding in. Especially since he only moved about 2 meters back.

Luckily for Karo he moved shortly after the explosion, moving about five meters ahead of his original postion 30 meters away from Kin. While weaving another set of hand seals behind him, Karo simply casted another Jutsu that they had seen before that was the searing migraine jutsu. As he’d use this opportunity to cast some pressure on his opponent with just how destructive his jutsu arsenal could be.

Immediately the searing Migraine launched from Karo’s hand like a mini sun. traveling the twenty five meters before Karo used the seal of confrontation immediately. Causing a massive explosion to erupt from the detonation. Expanding to 20 meters in Radius at a speed of 115 and boasting a power of 115. If this landed, Kin would be knocked out of the match entirely, leading to Karo only having to fight Jupiter next.

Well, shit…

Even through it all, the meticulous planning and careful examinations of details within the battle, there was still no avoiding certain things. First, the Widow had went up in flames, collapsing to the ground in a pile of burnt rubble, ash, and metal. A single golden strand of the fabric from it’s veil spiraling up towards the sky before disappearing into a burning ember along the zephyrs. It’s body was no more, the chakra threads which once were connected to the construct fully retreated, running up through the tiny slots in the undercarriage of the Lover. Right then and there, the Lover would be deactivated due to the fact that it could only be used in tandem with the previous puppet.

Quickly activating the mechanism to open the door in the Lover’s back, Kin would finally emerge from his place of hiding. Braided hair still as perfect as it once was, everything at a first glance would look fine for the genin. One could definitely tell from even a mile away that not much of a sweat had to be put up with while actually within the wooden entity. Despite how that may seem, the Akiyama family member still did try his best with putting up a fight, just at the end of the day he didn’t get so dirty or have his clothes messed up by all the running around. That stuff was way to important to him, especially considering the circumstances of this weren’t too harsh if things didn’t go great. Nothing that the young adult couldn’t deal with in the long run at least.

Hearing the sweet sound of the swan’s graceful song, the golden noble knew his time in this portion of the exam was coming to the end of it’s stint. Seeing the one who was sending an absolute onslaught of destructive techniques his way was about to send another one his direction, all that was given was an exchange between the two. Not of verbal words, just a glance with their eyes. Locking onto one another, an unspoken phrase would sound out, ya did good kid. And in that moment, the 20 meter radius blast of fire would eventually make it’s mark; obliterating both himself and the remaining puppet.

Karo had not actually expected to have been able to pull off something as explosive as those two attacks working in tandem with one another. However there was still a problem that he needed to solve in regards to his second opponent and what they were going to potentially do. From Karo’s own position he had not understood how the two puppets were connected like that, but he at least wished that the explosion that he had caused didn’t amount to any amount of long lasting pain towards his opponent. Yet the biggest thing about this whole scenario was who he was also fighting against besides Kin. He figured that Jupiter was waiting on the side just in case someone had decided to come out on top between the puppet user and himself. Yet he was trying to mostly track the other Genins movements. Finding some of them a bit questionable to say the least, something that he also would have to wait upon for the other Genin to hopefully come and approach him at least. As Karo could tell that something was a bit off with them.

As such he had to focus mostly on what he was going to do right now, that massive explosion had caused the ground below Kin to be charred and scorched. Karo noted that his distance between Jupiter was about 100 meters from his own spot. It meant that Jupiter would have to come to him if Karo wanted to end this. He could play the waiting game as long as he wanted to, it was just a matter of time before Jupiter would possibly get impatient and try to fight Karo up close. The Red head was buying his time, slowly pulling out a Kunai just in case he needed to dodge or potentially block an attack coming his way. He was certainly a long ranged fighter. Yet he had to figure out a way for Jupiter to get in close. His other hand was free to weave whatever hand seals he oh so wished. The main goal of the chunin exams was to show off your skills and be patient. So he wondered if Jupiter had that level of Patience when it came to actually fighting. Especially when it came to a fellow shinobi. So Karo would wait there with a Kunai in hand and a patience to rival that of people that sit around and study rocks all day.

Jupiter felt the heat from the scorching flame, narrowly evading its wrath as it incinerated the puppet and the puppeteer as well. He drifted further away from the radius of the explosion, placing the scorching fire between himself and Karo as it struck its target. From behind the cover of the flames, the quick witted shinobi would set up another attack. Eyeing one of the medium sized pieces of logs that Karo's first fiery attack had butchered from a large tree, he performed hand seals in quick succession. Tiger, Boar, Ox, Dog, Snake. As the blaze dissipated, a tall brown haired shinobi stood 100 meters in front of Karro, and appeared to wait patiently. Picking up a stick from the ground, he drew a circle into the dusted terrain, and within it, inscribed a triangle. He was recording the changing positions of the three shinobi leading up to this stage of the fight, and the resulting lines seemed to just about form the symbol of Jashin.

100 meters lay between Karo and the man with the stick. Then he slowly moved one meter to his right. The center of the stage was between the two shinobi. A kunai with an exploding tag tied to it was placed about 20 meters diagonally to Jupiter's left. Both were placed about 50 meters from the edge of the ring on either side. Jupiter needed more time before he could attempt another bold ambush. He no longer had the added advantage of Kin's distraction. He had to find another way to get close to Karo without turning into a pile of ashes. He looked up at the red haired shinobi from his crouched position with a bland expression, to see what he would do next as the Jashinist did not seem to figure out a way to get closer from their current positions.

Four meters to the figure's left, another identical rendition of the brown haired shinobi leaned back on the thick trunk of a large tree, lying in wait. He had used the cover of the flames to navigate the battlefield without being detected. He gauged the distance between himself and the other shinobi was about twice as long as the distance to the edge of the ring on his own side. Taking a deep breath, he synced himself with the rendition that was visible to Karo to simultaneously form the Ram handseal. Two identical clones of Jupiter would manifest and immediately begin sprinting towards Karo. One would run towards the red haired shinobi's right and the other to his left. From behind the tree, the Jashinist would waste no time, using its cover to hide from Karo while sprinting 50 meters back towards the outer edge of the ring and ducking behind its slope once again.

Karo's eyes focused on the man that was barely in his sight. UNderstanding the situation and how he had to be the one to engage Jupiter could be considered a risk. Running towards the boy right when the clones had been formed. Karo knew that they couldn’t actually harm him. So he decided to use that same trick as beforehand. Running towards the clones with one hand poised to use his own clone technique in the process. So when they met 35 meters from karo’s original starting position. Karo immediately summoned three clones in a puff of smoke. Using this as his opportunity to immediately dash diagonally form his own left. Away from the explosive Kunai entirely and instead also attempting to simply try and keep pace with Jupiter as well. It was here where Karo had seen that Jupiter made his way towards the edge of the ring. He had traveled about 20 meters in that diagonal left. Which also placed him about 10 meters from the original straight line that the two had. It was a pain not to have any other type of long ranged jutsu with him. So instead he was going to have to keep on running.

Pivoting on his foot to turn himself slightly, Karo had now gone and begun running in a straight line now, aiming to cover another 50 meters. Which would place him about 45 meters away from Jupiter's position as well. Yet he knew that the boy would continue to try and send clone after clone. Karo needed to end this fast, and make sure he wasn’t caught lacking. Yet for now he’d pivot again and face near where he saw where the boy had seemingly gone and hid under. His hand ready and poised to cast anything should happen. But for now he was about 45 meters away from Jupiter's current position if he did not move. Which hopefully was the case as the game of cat and mouse was something that was becoming slightly tiring as is.

As Karo's clones ambushed Jupiter's, the apparitions used their superior speed to evade the incoming melee attacks and then backtrack towards their original positions with identically timed backward leaps. They each leaped backwards again to the edge of the arena, standing at the outer edge on the surface, directly above Jupiter's position. This would place all three within the same 45 meters of Karo's range. The clone that he had manifested from his use of substitution technique, upon failing to serve its intended purpose of luring Karo, dissipated and in its place and a log fell to the ground in its position. This is it. He won't come any closer today. Jupiter thought to himself from his hiding spot and reached into his ninja pouch once again. First, he planted a military pill on his tongue and swallowed it dry. Heh.. Like a real junkie

His next course of action was performed in an unconscious state of flow. Rushed with adrenaline, he was in a trance. The shinobi promptly drew his second smoke bomb from the pouch and cast it on the surface directly above him, shrouding himself and both of his clones in the thick cloak of smoke. Wasting no time, two forms emerged immediately from the veil and sprinted towards Karo at a speed of 46. Two identical renditions of the Jashinist made their move. Their trajectories immediately diverged upon leaving the smoke, running in curved lines towards Karo's either side where they would converge. One would approach Karo from his left, and the other from his right. The purpose of their different routes was to force Karo to turn his head to pick a target instead of making it easy for him to take them both out with one single strike.

In the shroud of smoke, a third body lied in wait. His tall silhouette stood perfectly still in the veil with his hands clutched close to his chest, ready to perform hand seals should that be required by him.
