Resting at an Old Shrine
Tue Jul 12, 2022 8:18 pm
Amelia rested herself upon the rock surface of what led to some sort of shrine. Her company of the other two travelers to hung around and so far has yet to depart. During her time traveling from the Moon to the Rice had finally cause the Ushirota daughter to finally break the silence by asking their names, and introducing her own.
The older Ushitora with the chipped horn was apparently called Doug, and the younger lad was Dev. Pretty simple names, ones the Amelia shouldn't have any trouble in remembering. She didn't bother discussing about her father, or that she was the daughter of a mighty warchief, no she kept herself on the low for the time being. She had much work to do before she would feel worthy enough to her title while she was outside of her homeland.
"I wonder what this shrine was used for." Amelia once again wondered to her self out loud. She was aware that some folk was driven by religion, which gave them purpose and meaning. The shrine looked like it hadn't had the love it needed for quite a while, the stone was cracked and aged in some places and a lot of weeds seemed to be trying to suffocate the place. But the place wasn't completely forgotten, Amelia at least was able to determine that as her eyes laid upon a small ceramic bowl that had been left behind. The ceramic looked neat, new, and out of place amongst the ancient shrine. Someone must have recently left an offering to whatever gods or spirits that this shrine represented.
The young Ushitora woman was careful to respect the place, even if she was oblivious to whatever it was used for. Resting her body on the outer edge of the stone as the party of three decided to pause their journey. Anticipating as to whether they wanted to seek a nearby village or continue on. - Exit -
