Band-aids don't fix bullet holes You say sorry just for show
BABY WE GOT
BAD BLOOD

Miki yawned as she walked into the dragon pits, she had been told by her newly appointed teacher, Tsunayoshi, to come and watch the ‘Nova’ Exams… She was reluctant to at first, and hadn’t originally planned on following through with going but in the end she had ended up getting ready and heading towards the pits to watch, she had been late, of course – and missed out the chance to see his first battle, but she had been pleased to learn that the first battle was won by him… She had in the end chosen a good teacher it had seemed.

She was still unsure how this relationship between them would float along, but figured that the best way to learn from someone like him would be to watch and learn in the beginning at least… Miki was unprepared and very unknowledgeable within the practices of fighting or combat such as this. Miki sighed as she made her way to the stands, taking a seat by herself; watching at the first opponent entered the grounds, making his challenge… It was interesting so to speak; she had heard whispers of the other battles and fighters taking place around, but she gave little to no interest; she had come to watch Tsunayoshi, study him… If she was truly interested in taking him on as her teacher, she wanted to make sure he was powerful… As powerful as he made it out to be…

A small smile would form across her face as the events of the day, and round two would begin to take place; however her smile would be shrouded by the thin black frabic wrapped around the lower portion of her face, her outfit would definitely be something unapproved by her ‘teacher’, but she hadn’t cared… In public, especially an occasion as such, she still needed to be proactively advertising her business in her own way. It was only a matter of time before she would finally be able to build and own her very own brothel, just a matter of time…

Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread] Empty Re: Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread]

The first match for him had been done and since there were other matches going on, Morio decided to go to one that had piqued his interest the most. A battle between his sensei and his brother had been underway and he would be a liar if he said he didn't want to see who would come out on top. Still in his armor and armed to the teeth, he walked through the spectators area until he had found himself a seat and sat down, feet propping up onto the ledge of the area and exhaling slightly," Let's see who wins out of teacher and family...If Tsuna loses this i will be genuinely surprised," to his surprise Yamato challenged Tsuna to a battle of blades. Curious that he would do that against a Hoshimura, but maybe he had a reason. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he crossed his arms and watched," Don't let me down Tsuna...This is what our clan breathes so i expect a show from you," he didn't care if it was heard or not.

Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread] Empty Re: Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread]

The matches would blaze by at breakneck speed. Ty would only find the time to witness a few of the bouts, but this was one he couldn't afford to miss. His squad leader Yamato was going up against the man who seemed to be the favorite for a winner in this tournament. Having never seen Yamato truly get serious this would be a great opportunity to see what the young man was capable of.

Typhon was humbled the last time he sparred with his squad leader and the man wasn't even going all out. This time Ty hoped he could see the upper limits of the man's strength and see just how far off he was at this point from matching him. It looked as if the pair were going to clash blades for this battle, a welcome change to current standard of blasting the opponent away with chakra.

In close combat is where fighting truly took place. It's easy to fling fireballs and shoot lighting. Getting in close and making life or death decisions in the moment was a totally different beast.

Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread] Empty Re: Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread]

This was going to be worth every single second, the fight of the tournament was about to commence. The one that Toran had a feeling would happen from the moment the brackets were announced. It was something that humored him to no end. That Team Winter’s own sensei would be potentially moving on to bigger and brighter things then just having his little team there with him. Not only that, but Morio as well, having practically gotten so far as to actually participate in this tournament. Leaving the others practically in the dust as a result. It made him feel a bit out of place when watching this match. He had to force himself not to activate his sharingan, lest he get called out by someone and the match abruptly stops as a result of the uchiha’s poor self control. No, he would not allow for something as stupid as that to happen. He could not, for it would be pretty stupid of him to cause such dire commotion. It would be quite funny to see in all honesty. But he would not be the one to cause it, that could be someone else who was too sutpid to try something like that.

The uchiha was certainly not deaf, he could hear what his other teammate was saying through his breath. It only gave him a small smile, this certainly would cause an uproar, no matter who won or lost. Someone would certainly be angry, yet he was betting on Yamato. Perhaps it was a stupid thing to think about. But mentioning it to his team was also something thatToran decided to do. Giving a small cheer and turning his head towards both Typhon and Morio.

“Why don’t we take some bets, you know? Or I guess I should ask you two, you do believe you will win this in the end… Both of them are very powerful shinobi, and yet they are practically dancing right now.”

Swordplay, a skill that he was always fascinated by, simply fighting through the use of a blade was always something Toran would be interested in. As it dazzled him how blades or even weapons could clash and slam against each other. The crunch of metal bending when an all powerful blow clamped down on their own meager weapon. The blood of your enemy shown on the weapon you wield while you dance across the battlefield. Toran wanted to be good at it, he wanted to have that kind of skill in a fight. The speed, the furiosity, the grace of it, each movement coming together like that of a dance. He loved seeing it, how both of their blades slamming against one another. The sparks fly away from their blades and fading away moments afterwards.

This would certainly be a battle to remember, for anyone there could tell that these two were the standouts as to who would win in the end. It all came down to who’s skillset was able to go against the others. What did Yamato have up his sleeve, would he use that form like he did against them so long ago? His mind pondered just what his sensei would be doing. Yet Tsunayoshi, a stand out and the favorite it seemed by both the crowds and even his own teammate right next to him. It almost made Yamato into the underdog, the one that he hoped the crowd could at least look back on fondly as a result.

Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread] Empty Re: Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread]

Thu Jul 21, 2022 5:23 am
Slow, measured steps had taken Yuuma from the streets, through the crowds, and into the stands of the Dragonpits. A dazzlingly bright day greeted the match as the announced began to call out the information regarding the match to the crowd, and Yuuma had taken to standing at the rail near the edge of the arena to look down amidst the two as they made their way to the field. His typically half-robe dropped over his shoulders and provided him a place to store his hands, his hair parted to display the etched mark of the traitor left upon him by Shina. A part of him that he continued to display even after all the attention he, himself, had gotten during the last set of the Chuunin exams. His single claim to fame had seen him catch the attention of the Kage, and a promotion had been made. Since then, however, Yuuma had found nothing but hardship. So much so that he had withdrawn from the public view, and that of the notable shinobi work. Until today.

Keen ears would catch the bits of conversation around him as others spoke on the matter of the match. Some mumbled about the favorite- and his personal friend- Tsuna. Of course, Tsuna was the favorite. Pale blue eyes would watch that dark armored youth make his way onto the field, a sense of pride swelling in Yuuma's chest. Tsuna had been one of the first to accompany him on a mission, and it seems as though the younger of the two had rocketed skyward since that time. It felt like forever ago that Yuuma had written him a "get well soon" card attached with that charm. Of the two, Yuuma was unable to withhold his bias in just whom he would rather see the victor. Thoughts of his friend's opponent would prompt his gaze to slide across the field to Yamato. A Jounin of the village, though one that Yuuma knew only by name and deed. Never had they met before, but the first impression was offered at the point of a sword being pushed into the ground before Tsuna. "A challenge of some sort? I don't know much about swordplay but I don't think you are supposed to stab the ground," Yuuma thought to himself, observing the reaction of the white-haired Hoshimura. The stands were too far removed to actually hear any words being passed between the two, but from how Tsuna had closed the distance and stood for a moment, Yuuma could only assume that something was being exchanged.

In an instant, everything shifted. Chakra erupted from both of them, causing a gust of wind to buffet the crowd blowing Yuuma's hair about for a moment as the power of their auras clashed so close. The Chuunin's expression shifted from its usual stoney visage to a pensive interest, his eyes having difficulty keeping up with the speed the two displayed in their actions. "So fast..." he thought to himself, his hands leaving his sleeves to gently grip the top of the barrier in front of him. Not well known for his speed, Yuuma had difficulty engaging his friend at this range. It wouldn't even be a contest. But Yamato was not only holding his own but was making active trades with his friend. "I know I shouldn't be biased when it comes to the results of these sorts of things- after all, this display just shows how strong the top fighters for our village are. But..." the thoughts trailed as Yuuma focused on Tsunayoshi once more, fighting to keep up with the fluid dodge and retaliation as Tsuna manipulated his blades with ease. "One of these men is destined for greatness. No...destined to be our next leader. This match was over before it even began."

Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread] Empty Re: Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread]

Tue Aug 09, 2022 8:01 pm
Yamato….  Had been bested?!

Not only that, but seemingly so easily… Like he had been distracted by something rather baffling, the whole crowd seemingly went silent when the initial clashing of swords had begun in the wake of the challenge that Yamato had sprung forth towards the Hoshimura. His gaze spread across the entire arena as the two began their duel. Yamato activated a technique that he  had only seen one other individual use during his time as a rookie ninja. The peacock spirit blessing rose upwards on Yamat’s body, almost like it was a bulb of a planet that suddenly unfurled itself into a peacock's many feathers. The rainbow chakra emanating from his own sensei was indeed a splendid sort of showing that had the crowd gasping and gaping at the upper echelons of battle that was taking place. Tsunayoshi also had a trick up his sleeve to even the odds of battle. His own sort of enhancer it looked like given the plume of chakra emanating out from the blonde haired warrior. The hot pink flames of chakra seemingly also coating his armament with power that Toran or even Yamato it seemed could clash with. Yet Toran was prepared for the worst, that Yamato would somehow be able to make it out of that unscathed or at least able to fight. The semi circle swing certainly could be countered with the right amount of timing.

Yet Tsunayoshi seemingly was a very tricky opponent to face off against. Those blades that suddenly appeared alongside his swing. There were so many of them, almost like a storm of swords had followed the path of Tsunayoshi’s blade. Toran only hoped that Yamato could survive an attack like that. As he knew that his sensei could at least pull something out of his own hat right? Something had to be up his sleeve to be able to counter a massive barrage like that. Yet Apparently Yamato did not have a counter to the sudden wave of swords that were crashing into him, chipping away and eventually destroying the armor that Yamato was wearing, not only that but the magnificent display of power when Yamato’s own blade had been blown to pieces as a result of Tsunayoshi’s own space time ninjutsu. Toran had a sinking feeling in his own stomach…. Yamato could not be losing this badly…. Right?

Yet it seemed that Tsunayoshi was leaving no room for remorse, it definitely made sense that he would, Yamato hopefully wouldn’t as well in this scenario… Yet it didn’t stop Toran from having his heart beat rapidly… He knew he couldn’t do anything… But he didn’t want Yamato to suffer a massive deal of damage that could potentially kill him… But the sudden rattle of the stadium, along with the crash of thunder had toasted Yamato and most of his own equipment as a result of this. It hurts to watch this… Yamato had helped in the defense of the village, yet he had been bested like an ant against Tsunayoshi. Toran’s fists curled together as Tsunayoshi landed right back where he had started. Completely and utterly unscathed as a result of this match, leaving Yamato to have to be dug out of the dirt because of this entire match. Toran only shook his head, unsatisfied that it had ended so quickly and resulted in Yamato’s complete and utter defeat.

“What the hell happened to you Yamato?” Was all Toran could think about. The fight was nothing more than a wash. Yamato getting absolutely wrecked was certainly something that made him overall surprised and also annoyed. How did this even happen? It was such a surprise that Toran couldn’t even believe that it had happened. Something must have happened, a deal perhaps, a bet, how would Yamato lose the match that badly. It just didn’t make sense to the young Uchiha. That his own sensei would be beaten that easily and in such a public event. It was just so sad to watch, that was Toran’s main takeaway from that entire match, that it simply was a sad display for Yamato and Team Winter.

Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread] Empty Re: Yamato VS Tsuna [Observation Thread]

And just like that the fight had been over. What he had hoped to see turned out to be for naught. He had hoped to see his teachers cloak in action again, but as soon as the match started Tsuna had ended it. A match pitted a chuunin against a Jounin and in this matchup it was proven that rank meant nothing. Just like in his own bout against the Jounin Prince, skill is and was all that mattered in the end. As the stands stood to applaud the match, Morio would let out a small but brief round of applause for the two fighters," Maybe the tides will turn the next our team fights you Yamato. Seeing my brother here best you has fired me up and now...it seems i am dragged to fight once more. Alright," he would mentally exclaim as he picked up Raizel from beside him and took Cassian into his other hand. With both blades in tow he would begin to walk down the path to the inner sanctum of the arena and soon to the fighters room where he would await the next, his battle to begin. He knew nothing about his opponent and that was for the best as the amber eyed male waited within the darkness of his room, his index finger tapping along the blunt side of Cassian. For each tap a thought went through his mind and a mental battle began. Each thumping of his finger signaled the beginning and the end of a mental match, preparing his body and mind for either a win....or a loss.
