Name: Handheld Sling
Appearance: Slings can be made out of nearly any material, and look any way the user wants, so long as it has the main components; a small cradle or pouch in the middle of two flexible retention cords. There is a loop on the end of one side of the retention cords. Depending on the design of the sling, either the middle finger or the wrist is placed through a loop on the end of one cord, and a tab at the end of the other cord is placed between the thumb and forefinger. A total length of about 61 to 100 cm (2.0 to 3.3 ft) is typical for these handheld slings. The cradle itself is only about six inches, with the rest of its length being taken up by the cords.

Backstory: A weapon that has been used for many generations, by both military personal and commoner alike. The main attraction to this weapon is that it can be used by anyone, alongside the versatile range of items that can be thrown from one.

Trait: Projectile Diversity: Projectiles that are shot from a sling can either be sharp or blunt, still following the rules for ranged weaponry (impact force = users speed/2 - throwing speed rules, and projectile speed = projectile range), due to the wide variety of objects that can be used. Since regular rocks can be used, it is required that the projectile is described as being a sharp or blunt object before being used. It must be small enough to fit within the cradle to be slung.
