Morio vs. Enishi [Observation Topic]
Thu Jul 28, 2022 1:17 pm
The day of the semifinals was finally upon them, them being Hoshigakure. Tsuna had already done away with his opponent, Yamato. A Jounin that challenged him to a duel of Bukijutsu which was an honorable bout. At last, Yamato did not match up to the arsenal of the Hoshimura. Tsuna merely wanted the cloak more, it was what he told himself. His match ended within one fluid motion. He had whisked it ended in a more modest manner, but this was the consequences of Bukijutsu - you tend to bleed.
The spectator stands were roaring with excitement as the banner and promoter read the names of both contestants. Morio Hoshimura vs. Enishi Kurosawa. Tsuna’s hybrid eyes would lay in the names as he felt an air of great anticipation wash over him. As he continued his stride towards the banister of the stands that towered over the arena he would take a deep breath and exhale. The Kenseigan activated as his eyes revealed the nature of his bloodline. Spectators of the village would noticed the Bittersteel clad shinobi, the helmet packed into the neck of the armor, his blande and silver hair sway at the altitude he was stationed.
Tsuna did not ignore those that showed him support, that was never in his character. He dedicated all that he did to the village for the protection of it. He wanted the best for these people. It was what his parents would have wanted. After his greeting with the spectators he would return his attention to the arena floor. The first to arrive was Morio, he was clad in his armor and he carried his precious blade with him. As well as that katana. The air about him was different. Almost prickly. “Am I detecting actual focus from you, brother?” Inquired softly as he smiled. This was new to see, refreshing at that.
It was then that he noticed the opponent, Enishi. He changed drastically in appearance from when he last saw him. He went through a metamorphosis the day of his dubbing. Tsuna did as well. But what caught the eye of the Hoshimura was the 1.5 meter long, 2 ft wide and 6 inch handle. Tsuna was reading a good number of chakra resonating within that blade. His brow would raise and his smile widen. Was this… no! It couldn’t be. Could it? But how did Enishi end up with something like that? “Enishi, you veneer dog. Where did you get that treasure?” He asked softly.
Morio glistened with yellow chakra and another that Tsuna couldn’t make out. While Enishi held a blue and murky chakra that told the man he held water and some other elements. He was greatly intrigued to discover the following elements that either of them possessed. With his left hand, concealed behind his shield, he formed the seal of confrontation. His third eye would awaken and his sensory range would increase from 20 meters to 50 meters. Not stopping there, with focus he would expand it from 50 meters to 100 meters in all directions. He was capable of now sensing everything within range of him, including Jutsu and even deception. At a power of 90.
He would be able to detect nearly everything within this arena. He could now sense Morio’s chakra from within his armor. Morio possessed a chakra higher than his own. This was exciting information for the Hoshimura. He would then be shifted to that weapon of Enishi’s. It held a much larger chakra source than what Morio had, it was twice as much. “A weapon that possessed chakra? No, that’s not quite right, is it? Enishi you’re sword is capable of storing chakra, isn’t it? Interesting.” He whisperer as he smiled childishly. He was manifesting his inner child as he was processing this information. He would wonder how Morio will be able to deal with this, from this alone Enishi held a method to deal with Morio’s vast amount of chakra. But then again, Tsuna was detecting some nasty chakra coming from the arm of Morio.
He recalled seeing that achievement. His brother was proud of it. He wondered now if he would see it in play.

Re: Morio vs. Enishi [Observation Topic]

Having missed the first few days of the Nova exams left a slight sour taste inside of Ryumi’s own mouth. This was one of the most important times of the village, meant to show valor and great strength for all of the villagers to see. However Ryumi missing all of these fights would greatly impact what she was about to see moving forwards. The slight shouts of the crowd surrounded her, how everyone cheered the names of those who would be duking it out inside of the arena before them. Ryumi got a chill down her spine, the excitement of this whole event was entirely different to anything else she had ever experienced. However she seemingly blended into the crowd, especially when Hoshigakure’s own golden child seemingly showed themselves in the spectators stand. Ryumi didn’t dislike the look, she did not want to make a ruckus when the crowd was swept away seemingly by Tsuna’s own appearance. Yet it only made her focus more on the two that walked onto the arena with their own armor and weapons as well. Her hand aching slightly at the anticipation for the fight itself. How everything seemed to be falling into place for this to be just as, if not even more of a spectacle then what some of the spectators were talking about when she had arrived.
She could not see like how Tsuna could, the golden chakra surrounding Morio, the murky, almost swamp-like chakra of Enishi could not be seen by the Hiyu. Yet she focused mainly on their own weapons. That massive sword on Enishi’s back must have been rather heavy, but their shape was the weirdest thing about them. They almost looked like fans from her own perspective, not being able to see the chakra stored up inside of the legendary armament made her confused as to what kind of blade Enishi was even wielding in the first place. Yet seeing the two set on the grassy terrain that was chosen specifically to make these fights as balanced as possible. It led to a rather boring scenery, as she hoped the two swordsmen would be able to make up for that in spectacle. Or some amount of substance if possible, these fights were meant to be entertaining after all, no need to have a boring fight take place. Ryumi’s eyes scanned the rest of the arena, including all around her, finding that Tsunayoshi was only a few meters away from where she was sitting. Her scarred look would make her stand out, so long as he even took notice of the girl with a blackened mop for hair. Trying her best to look like she didn’t care much that someone who was very important to the village was even nearby. Hands immediately going to her sides as well.
“Well… At least people’s attention is largely on the fight. Why am I getting so worked up? He has over half the crowd's attention by this point.”
Sometimes she wished she could somehow extend her hearing, it’d make her at least useful in information extraction if she could hear what the enemy was saying. That way less blood had to be shed and she could just listen to stories while on an assignment. But being a ninja was a job, and this exam was basically who could do their own job the best.

The crowd was vast on the day of the semifinals. It’s champions proven their might which lad to they facing, Morio Hoshimura and Enishi Kurosawa. Both shown great valor and sportsmanship. Both equally worthy of the cloak that they so eager reach away at. Hotaru stayed for one of the matches that Morio had with a Jounin of the village, Arashi. He proven to be more than the jounin was capable of dealing with. This was a proud moment for Hotaru to witness.
Both Mildred and Hotaru cut through the crowd of spectators. It was uncomfortably dense in this particular arena, but the two would soon realize why. Tsunayoshi Hoshimura was within the crowd, but his focus was on the combatants. Though he was not rude to the people, showing them acknowledgement and sharing words with them, he kept his focus on the fighters. Mildred glanced over at Hotaru. “Lady Hotaru, that young man is the bastard of the Hoshimura clan, but his skill is undeniable.” This comment did not sit well with the heiress. She scuffs at the comment with foul taste of mentioned words. “Mildred, you will do well to hold your tongue. Tsunayoshi has proven himself since his dubbing into a fine warrior.”
As they walked passed the Bittersteel clad shinobi Hotaru added further. “Besides, should he hear you I doubt that we could do anything that could feasible stop him.” Mildred took what was said with heed. Glancing over at the man as they made their way to their seats. She would see that the match has started, Hotaru and would remain silent with a firm expression.

Re: Morio vs. Enishi [Observation Topic]

“So that’s your opening move, is it? Interesting, brother.” The Kenseigan would reveal to him the intent meant for Enishi, the wave of chakra infused despair that would have been otherwise hidden from the naked eye. Tsuna was aware of that Jutsu, it was a declaration of killer’s intent, there was no mistake about it. The Hoshimura was also able to see the chakra lines of space-time erecting from the back of Morio’s armor as his wings manifest. “What are you planning?” He inquired softly.
It was then that Tsuna sensed a heavy influx come from Enishi, his eyes would flicker in his direction. There was a bold chakra coating the man. A brow would raise as the wave of despair would come to meet the cloak of chakra. Tsuna could see as it was filtered into something harmless, merely a gust of air. “So that acts as a barrier against detrimental effects? Impressive, but I wonder it’s limits. Or rather, it’s risks. There’s a lot of chakra coming off of that Jutsu, too much circulating the body so wildly to be harmless.” His right hand would come to his chin, cupping it as he pondered the theory more.
Tsuna, again picked up on subtly chakra fluctuations coming from Enishi - wait, not just him but the blade on his back. It was then that Tsuna understood, the blade on his back was being used to siphon chakra from for what came next. Sensing the the chakra being concentrated between the two of them as a wall of water would form needless. But as his eyes laid on them he could not recognize the chakra coming from them. A surprise, Enishi was full of tricks. Suddenly he felt another chakra mass appear above them, heavily dense as it began to rain. “Rain? Does he plan to create his own water source? No, wait, could he be planning to turn the rain into that substance?” He was both highly amused and invested in this. His eyes kept on them.
But it would seem that Morio would not simply stand idly by as Enishi awed the crowd and Tsuna. The Hoshimura would recognize that aura of chakra that was ebbing from his brother. It was a village exclusive, one that even he was a fan of. From that he could sense Morio’s chakra spike. And with a flash his armor and weapon changed. This was none other than Re-Quip. Tsuna smiled as his brother showed off the secrets to their clan. “Now I understand, your focus. You’ve completed what you needed to to obtain…Abysswalker and the inferno set. Well done, Morio.” He beamed with prided as he gazed upon the armor and weapon sets.
Tsuna knew the traits of both sets. They were both ideal for combating chakra sources. Ideally a Ninjutsu focused users nightmare. Morio managed to block the incoming needles as they traveled to skewer him. Morio would showcase another Hoshimura technique, the same that he used against Yamato which lead to his hasten defeat. Tsuna’s eyes counter a number of strings up to 210. It was at this time upon their launching that Tsuna felt the chakra and saw the space-time chakra blur in red developed a few meters behind Enishi. It was a pincer attack. But the power it boast was far greater than Morio’s chakra should have allowed. “He amplified it. Clever, but I would have increased the speed of the Jutsu. It’s power is meaningless at that level, Enishi is not a physical powerhouse. That’s a bold move, Morio, but that has always been your style.”
It would seem that Enishi had a few mistakes to remedy. As his initial attack was blocked, the Wraith formed a countermeasure for this judgement lapse, swords of water were conjured and at the ready behind him. Tsuna found this to be quite the Jutsu. It held a steady amount of chakra. It almost reminded him of water cutting sword, a Jutsu that he possess, but with a twist. Almost fashioning rapid blade thrust. There was a flux in Enishi’s chakra for a moment. Was that…nervousness? As soon as it came it would vanish as he released a barrier of chakra that looked and felt suspicious to the Hoshimura. In the midst backing up and erecting his barrier a red aura would as well. His body was covered in a sheen and Tsuna was a bit bewildered. “Does he also possess sensory? But how defined is it if he does, because I do not believe that will be enough to protect him from Singularity’s gradual damage over time. That barrier of his is one thing, he can define the very gravitational push from the Jutsu, but the damage is another thing. But then again, with an arsenal of Jutsu with such versatility it’s hard to say. That being said…” His eyes would narrow to focus. “It wasn’t meant to, it was meant to debuff it. So that Jutsu has the capability to nerf incoming Jutsu power. Interesting.” Noticing the singularity’s chakra power dwindle a bit beneath that of the Wraith’s Jutsu. He watched as the mirroring blades of Morio broken before the two as they came into contact with the chakra barrier. There were not strong enough to overcome the defense of the Wraith. And as they failed 5 blades would target Morio in an attempt to do harm.
Sensing a vast amount of Enishi’s chakra covering 20 meters of the arena as trees began to erect from the very soil that staged them. Tsuna would widen his eyes as he looked on with awe. This battle between these two was intense. His hands were itching as he was finding himself fired up. Either one of these two will be a suitable opponent for him in the finals. But who will it be and how will Morio respond to this flawless display of Enishi.

Re: Morio vs. Enishi [Observation Topic]
Sun Aug 07, 2022 2:53 pm
So… it would seem that Morio did have a response for the Wraith. Tsunayoshi looked on as suspense took him, he could feel, sense and see all that was unfolding before him from the spectator stands down to the very stage set for the two champions. But seem to be testing, and pushing the envelope of the other, countering and counteroffensive played a major role in this match up. His brother was capable of washing away one of Enishi’s defensives, but at a cost of his own Jutsu growing weaker due to the defense detriment. Tsuna was sure that the blue-haired Hoshimura was not particularly pleased by that outcome, but know him he wouldn’t dwell on it. Not now.
It was then that Tsuna noticed that familiar hue ebbing from the arm of his brother. “Finally, he’s about to showcase this creation of his. I’ve come to see this.” He spoke softly, his smile fades into a more serious expression. He opt to focus on everything from this point onward at a more telescopic level. This could very well be the deciding factor of the match. And the reveal of Tsunayoshi’s next opponent.
As the Hoshimura honed in on the other, he could feel their chakra twist and turn, metamorphosis would consume the chakra that was once there. The chakra was visible for him to see. Purple static-like chakra would surge the body of armor that encased Morio. A black barrier would erect from the boy as he took this form. “What is that form?” This was new to the man, he never seen anything quite like it amongst the Hoshimura, or within their archives of knowledge. This was truly the original design of Morio Hoshimura through and through.
He was now on the move, charging directly at Enishi. Tsuna would widen his eyes as he immediately furrowed his brows as he thought such an action was careless. Has his brother gone mad? Was this a last resort to catch his opponent off their guard? He couldn’t tell, but he would remain open to what he was seeing, preventing himself from making a prepubescent judgment for now. Then it hit him, the chakra made up the barrier was far greater than that of those water blades conjured by Enishi. They merely fell to the ground. Tsuna was processing and understanding bit by bit.
Tsuna would then noticed something odd, his Kenseigan would acknowledge a green ball of chakra, heavily surrounded by the strings of space-time chakra. From that ball spawning point it would shoot towards Enishi with such speed that even Tsuna himself was impressed by. Their was a vacuum field that surround that ball, that was the strings of chakra he recognized. “So that’s your angle, planning to drag him in- wait a minute, what’s this?” He cut his sentence mid, he sensed some violent rattling from that ball. Immediately he gasped, realizing that’s no mere suction jutsu, it had another purpose entirely.
Then it exploded after reaching a meter before Morio. It was odd that it could do that, but Tsuna paid it little mind as the explosion would release massive levels of chakra that could reach up to 25 meters in all directions. The Hoshimura would ground himself, should he need to protect those on the stands incase the explosion could expand further. Enishi’s wood style would suffer first hand to the blast as they were shredded into nothingness, as well as the terrain that they shared. That Jutsu was something to be weary of. To unstable, “Too much chakra…”.
Acknowledging the whispers of his clan’s technique, he would immediately understand what Morio needed to close the distance for. He was glad that he didn’t prematurely judge his actions. This was wise of him, if not somewhat risky. His eyes would then lock in as he saw a familiar chakra…the very first Jutsu he ever taught anyone, his Dark Chariot Jutsu. There was no mistaken it, Morio planned to end things if he’s using that technique.
There was an influx in Enishi’s chakra the moment he realized the change within Morio. Instinctively he moved to respond in proper accordance to this. Yet another sealless Jutsu was erected from the Wraith. Another barrier. “He is relentless with those, isn’t he?”Noting that Enishi was heavily suited for defensive Jutsu. Noting that his sheen would fade from existence. Suddenly Tsuna felt a surge in natural chakra coming from Enishi. He immediately shifted his focus to him. Alarmed by this, but also curious.
It then hit him, “Enishi…is a member of the Jugo clan. No wonder I kept sensing natural chakra rising within him periodically as the match progressed. Morio, this isn’t good.” The transformation that the Wraith undergone would reveal a terrifying sight that would shock the very stand of spectators. Even Tsuna was taken back by this, if not a little intrigued. Enishi in this monstrous form shine bright gold as pure natural chakra coated him. This chakra was not unstable, it was tranquil.
There was a steady and rapid build up of chakra taking place within Enishi. But in the midst of that he was being pulled in towards the ball of green chakra conjured by Morio. It was swift, but the eyes of the Hoshimura did not miss it. As the explosion occurred he noticed the aura of the Wraith extend from himself to drill within the erupting chakra. But last he checks both shared the same degree in chakra, but wait, upon contact the explosion suffered a nerfing to its power. “I see… That’s going to be annoying to deal with.” Understanding what just happened, he would continue to spectate.
A fog of purplish-green tint would manifest upon the field. The chakra emitting from this fog was complex, but it wasn’t of water, it was of something else. Could this be another one of Enishi’s acid Jutsu. Yet another chakra field was erected from Enishi. Tsuna noted that this man was full of sealless Jutsu and that was interesting to him. Most casters have to do seals for their magic, yet this man did not. But he couldn’t help but to sense an slight sudden burst of chakra each time he did one of those barriers. Did this mean he somehow had them…Pre-placed?
He would also noticed that even after destroying that explosion of the Blacksmith, the Wraith was still being pulled in the direction the before the explosion. This was odd. Gathering that so far, all the sealless techniques that the Wraith conjured all had some detrimental effect to them. This made Enishi a very dangerous opponent.

It was inevitable, Tsuna could sense it. Morio was running out of chakra, his actions were eating through his reserve rapidly. All the while, Enishi was barely making a dent in his. Yes, Morio had a great level of chakra and en even better control, but Enishi possess nearly boundless reserves.
The two continued on for but a brief moment. Ultimately, it ended with Morio’s defeat. The crowd would roar as they knew of the victor at long last and the final match contestants. In that moment Tsunayoshi and Enishi locked eyes. The expression on the face of the Hoshimura was one of amusement. His eyes would flicker as he turn from his future opponent and made his way out of the stands.
There was an excitement brewing within them, one that he couldn’t quite contain. “Finally….a real challenge.” Sounds of sliding metal as his helm erect from the collar of his Bittersteel armor, concealing all but his eyes which was replaced by a shroud. Releasing his seal on the sensory Jutsu from the start, he learned all that he needed to learn.
“I have no need for worry…”
His hand formed a set of seals as he steadily approach a crowd along his path.
“Give it all that you have.”
As he stepped within a meter of the crowd his entire being vanished from sight and sense. The crowd continued, not noticing a single thing.
“And you will fail.”

The massive spectacle between the two combatants was not to be understated. Ryumi watched in awe at the masterful use of Ninjutsu, Space-Time Ninjutsu, and most of all their weaponry was put on display for the most part. She could tell at least that the Hoshimura nearby had been watching the fight with a bit of interest. Especially given that Ryumi could barely see what was even happening from the stands. All she knew for right now was that this was certainly a battle to behold in front of him. Each one of them putting out their all in an attempt to get at each other's heels. The shining sun allowed most to see the spectacle on full display, especially given that the two of them were seemingly so skilled in battle had Ryumi wonder just who these two were. An interesting prospect to be sure, and one that she couldn’t hope but wait to see in action. Morio’s sudden summoning of over 210 swords was certainly a great feat of space-time engineering, at least for someone like Ryumi who had never seen such a move be used. These Hoshimura certainly knew how to wield a sword, no wonder why one Hoshigakure’s best jonin lost in a simple duel to Tsunayoshi.
The transformations, the action, all of it was simply something that was amazing to see for the girl that was a simple practitioner of the art of punching people in the face. Her eyes scanned the entire arena as she could tell that Morio and Enishi were certainly powerful. People that she’d like to spar against one day in the future, so long as she could at least prove herself to be good enough against them. No she would have too, it was either that or be lost to the annals of time as simply another “good” shinobi. She simply could not let that slide. The sudden clashing of green and gold forming a tornado of power before the young Hiyu. She was hoping for the battle to continue for just a little bit longer, yet it seemed one of them had run out of juice. Something that she knew would be a bit of a problem for some of these matches in the future.
Yet upon seeing that both of them at least showed a bit of honor towards each other made her give a soft smile at the scene. Knowing that at least this tournament was in fact mostly that of good fun and practice for those that wished to become a part of Hoshi’s nova corps… She’d get there eventually, they’d just have to wait and see what she holds in store for them all. Ryumi stood up, gave a small whistle towards the two boys for a job well done. Giving a small wave towards Hotaru and then noticing that Tusnayoshi had disappeared to god's knows where. She instead found herself leaving the stadium and heading out towards the training grounds… Hopeful to be able to get some good licks in for herself and gain some strength along the way.
