Rising from his bed Yusuke was already dreading the days activities while he rubbed his eyes. The genin was due for his biannual check up with the village doctors office. Dr Yamanaka would be looking him over, performing a physical on the man to check his overall health. Yusuke hated doctors like oh so many men do, but he was prepared to do what he had to do for the village. He waited a few minutes after waking up to get out of his covers.

Sitting up in his bed now, Yusuke was softly petted his dog companion Rudi. Today the canine would spend on his own, his physical having already been performed by a veterinarian in the the villages pocket book. Yusuke slowly got up, careful not to wake his partner then proceeded to the small kitchen in his third story apartment. Before any physical would be done Yusuke definitely needed some fresh coffee. Once he filled the water up from the tap Yusuke loaded up freshly ground coffee grounds, and pressed the brew button. Only a few minutes to wait, but he was an impatient man. Yusuke stood staring at the coffee pot the whole time, thinking of Dr. Yamanaka's exam. 

Yusuke did not like the invasive nature of health check ups. Today hebwould be checked for many types of cancer, and it was his least favorite of doctor visits.

Once the coffee was half way brewed Yusuke poured himself a cup into his coffee mug. It was a small red cup, but Yusuke drank his coffee fast and he liked it hot so the mug was perfect for him in the morning. As he took his first sip, sitting down at the dining room table, the Inuzuka began to ponder what he would have for breakfast.

Grumbling quietly Yusuke said. "Egg fried rice." Yusuke took himself a sip of coffee and watched the clock. It was five thirty seven in the morning and his appointment was at 8, he had enough time to cut up the veggies and his stomach started growling. Taking a big gulp of his coffee Yusuke stood back up and walked to his refrigerator. He had some two day old white rice that would work just perfect, it was nice and dry. The inuzuka grabbed it from the top rack and gave it a shake, then reached lower in the refrigerator into the crisper drawer. He grabbed some green onions. Yusuke set them down on the counter, leaving the fridge open, then came back to it. The inuzuka grabbed a carton of eggs and then closed the electric ice box. 

In the drawer above his gas stove top Yusuke kept his cooking oils, and he grabbed some canola oil. With his other hand he grabbed the wok, nice and seasoned from years of use, then set it down on the burner. Yu poured a liberal amount of oil into the fired up pan, then went to cut his green onions. The ninja used a kunai he kept hanging in his kitchen, and quickly made work of the long green stalk. When his garnish was ready yousuke grabbed two eggs and cracked them in the oil. As the eggs cooked evenly Yu used a ladle to splash hoit oil on the top of the two eggs, then when he had them cooked just right Yusuke poured in his white rice. 

"This'll be good." Yu said to himself as he smashed the rice into the eggs and broke it up. As it cooked up Yusuke rushed to his spice cabinet and grabbed some soy sauce. He splashed a good amount of it in, and then Cooke it off. Yu was a master of creating wok hey, and used his tossing skills to perfectly cook the egg fried rice. After about five minutes Yusuke was done cooking. A perfect meal for the bachelor. 

Sitting down with his food in a bowl Yusuke also had a freshly refilled, hot, cup of coffee. Holding his chopsticks Yu devoured the meal, his ravenous appetite always making him hungry as could be. Yusmashed his bowl of rice in ten minutes, and washed it down with coffee. Next up would be his daily exercises. 

Yusuke walked into his room to get dressed, careful not to leave the door open for too long and wake Rudi with the smell of delicious egg fried rice. Once he was ready Yusuke quickly snuck back out and went to his living room. Having a companion like Rudi was like having your best friend as a room mate, and they were good to each other.

In the living room Yusuke performed ten reps of one hundred push ups, in an incredibly fast amount of time. Then he did the same amount of crunches, and squats. In an hour he was done and all that was left was his cardio. Right on time Yusuke planned to exercise on his way to the doctor. Wearing his usual gear Yusuke ran off to the hospital on all fours.

The morning daylight was nice, and the skies were clear. Yusuke ran east from where he lived and took the scenic route. Yusuke was fast, perhaps one of the fastest in Hoshigakure. But he made extra marker along the way, climbing tall buildings like a spider. Yusuke was having fun and his tail wagged. Vaulting over rooftops was pure joy to him, and he was a hardened shinobi when it came to physical fitness. 

Eventually he had no choice but to end his fun and go into the doctors office. Yusuke had sat on the top of the building for ten solid minutes, mentally preparing himself for the physical check up. 

Yu entered the door and was immediately given a face mask to protect him from the sickly in the waiting room. Along with the mask he was given a few sheets of paper to fill out, which he did. After a few signatures and initials ilhe was left to wait for the nurse to call him. Nearly thirty minutes went by and Yusuke was called back.

The Inuzuka was thankful to have been given a mask, because truly the doctors office stunk of disease. Yusuke's conditioned nose could smell pestilence in the air and he felt nauseous just being in there. 

After the nurse checked his vitals and asked himselfthe standard set of questions like family history and recent surgeries, Yusuke was left to wait once again, this time for Doctor Yamanka. Another thirty minutes went by before rhe elderly man showed up with his mask and gloves on. He checked Yusukes lymph nodes first, then his reflexes and hand to eye coordination everything checked out. Yusuke was clear to go and rhe doctor didn't have a word to say. 

Yu couldn't have been more thankful to get out of there.
