Here he was back in Tanbogakure, his home, once more. Shin had been out traveling the lands to see what other village’s knew about the disappearance of Tanbo’s own Kages. Were they out visiting other leaders? A secret mission that only those of the needed rank could know? Running away from the responsibility of leading a village? Shin didn’t know and couldn’t find out all he had been able to figure out was that their disappearance was unknown by others and it seemed as if they had simply disappeared from the face of the planet without a word or sound. This spoke of a plot deeper and stranger then anything Shin could have thought up in his most wildest dreams, after all its not like they just went poof or something. Maybe they had been working on a new Space-Time Jutsu that had gone wrong and transported them to another dimension to which they had no return.
 
Regardless of what could have happened to the two Kages of Tanbogakure the village needed its leaders and it seemed that through a vote one of the local Shinobis had been elected to take one of the spots and Emi Tanaka a young woman though she was older then Shin and just slightly shorter it seemed that she hadn’t expected to win the election and was now dealing with that course of action. At least it seemed she was doing her best in the position and that was all Shin could hope for pertaining to anyone taking up the mantle, though he did wonder what that meant for the other Kage position that was empty, who would end up filling that spot and how would they lead?
 
Those were thoughts and pondering that needed to be done later it was about time for Shin to get back into performing his Shinobi duties for the village once more now that he had returned and the first task he had been given upon return was to do a follow up on the Zukumiki’s that he had a prior run in with what felt like forever ago. He had been called to stop a rampagining drunk that had been threatening people and causing trouble who ended up being a member of the Zukumiki’s. Now it seemed that person wasn’t speaking with anyone and they needed someone to get them to talk or at least find out where the group was hiding out at. Shin had been gathering information on the drunk and who were his closest friends and companions. It seemed that a woman frequently visited the locked up member and they talked quite a lot about various things though seemed to clam up anytime someone they didn’t know or like came near which was to be expected.
 
This actually gave Shin an idea on what he needed to do to get the information from the two lovebirds and that was by actually being stealthy like the Shinobi was suppose to be in general. Work from the shadows and erase your presence, Some things that over time Shin had come to learn quite while with his travels and such. Nearing the holding cells the guards nodded their heads to him and passed him the needed information on which Cell the criminal was being held. Shin made sure to get as close to the cell as he could while actively using his Chakra suppression taking him from any kind of sensing chakra wise.
 
Now he used his training to move silently as he could and await for the woman to show up for their daily meeting. Hours passed by without incident and then the jangling of keys and muttering of voices were heard, the woman clothed in not poor garb but not rich either came down the corridor with shifty eyes studying every shadow she could seeing if anyone was nearby beyond the guards outside the corridor and when she couldn’t find anyone she relaxed. She also wasn’t able to sense anyone beyond her beloved in his cell. The two lovebirds began speaking and Shin settled more into his hiding spot as he figured they wouldn’t immediately jump into discussing where the rest of the group was hiding. The two spoke of various things, how life was for each other, how much they missed each other, how unfair and unjust it was that the man was locked up it wasn’t like he had killed anyone after all and who were they to put a Zukumiki in jail didn’t they know who they were. Then with the ranting and raving part of the evening done it moved into the discussion on how the rest of the group were hiding out in the nearby cave system not to far away from the village, it was the same place that had been cleared out of roaming bears and other wildlife.
 
Shin remembered the clearing of those beasts as his father had taken part in it years ago, so he had a good understanding on where exactly they were talking about. He was more surprised that no one had figured to look in that spot. Though maybe people had just assumed to forget it now that there wasn’t any dangerous animals living in it, though now there was a dangerous group of criminals there. Now all Shin had to do was wait for the visit to end and head on out after the woman had left, making sure to pass on the information needed to the guards and higher ups so that the next part of the plan could be put into action. Shin was more then happy to be out of his cramp hiding spot after all it wasn’t very comfortable to contort himself into one of the nearby barrels and it didn’t smell very good in there anyways, but sometimes you had to forgo comfort for the needed result of a successful mission and he had done exactly what he needed to. Now it was time to return home and rest for the night. It was good to be back home and he was more then happy to get to sleep in his own bed again.
