Practice Before the Storm [Open]

Onabi keep his eyes closed, he smiled more and spoke with confidence. "You have the ability to do it. So get on my level." Onabi laughed still baiting out a angered reaction, Onabi watched as she tossed a kunai at the waist of Onabi. So Onabi moved and grabbed the kunai and threw it toward the youngest Uchiha. The Kunai slammed into the other Kunai Izuna threw and planting one into the dirt and one into the ceiling above. Onabi moved and grabbed Xena and performed the same move that he did on the Other Uchiha but instead of planting her firm into the ground he launched her straight at Izuna when he started to pounce on the young Hyuuga.  

Onabi stood above both of the Uchiha if they had both fallen to the ground with Onabi's last defensive action. "This is the power of the Hyuuga. I was told that the Uchiha ruled the hidden leaf. But if this is the next generation the Hyuuga might steal your clans throne." All of this was to get the pure rage of the demon clan to start. He heard that the demons eyes would shine if they were trapped in a corner or they became extremely angry. Onabi walked around the two and laughed gaining a new idea. With a blur the young Hyuuga had disappeared. Onabi had hid himself from the two Uchiha and waited to see how they would react to the new situation they found themselves in. Onabi did all of this with love and respect of these two shinobi but a shinobi needs to know how to deal with a enemy that was stronger then them.

As she flew through the air her hand reached for her back, her sword being unsheathed yet again as it slammed itself into the ground stopping her from flying into the younger Uchiha. It hurt her arms to stop such force but she managed, and surprisingly the blade hadn't snapped, she half expected it too. Getting up she had the time to see the kid vanish, hmph, he want's to play closing your eyes, as if that's really a down side for the Byakugan, she did the same now closing her eyes quietly listening, if she couldn't see him maybe she could hear him, holding her sword up in a reverse grip prepared to block any incoming attack.

"Your quite the show off, as expected of the Hyuuga clan, I've been told they have over inflated ego's due to being such a highly respected clan, here I was thinking it wasn't so."

Her tongue was sharp, but it was all in good fun, if he wanted to talk trash on her clan, she'd do the same to him, though, as she turned to look towards where she had assumed he was she finally did something. Dropping her sword her hands slammed together. Snake-Ram-Tiger before she brought a her hand to her mouth forming a cone. "GREAT FIREBALL JUTSU" She'd scream out, releasing a stream of fire from her mouth, it quickly changing in size too a large sphere of fire, stopping as the fire ball shot towards where she believed the Hyuuga was she coughed a bit, damn did that really take that much out of her. Quickly falling to a knee as the fire ball either crashed into the Hyuuga through their hiding spot or just crashed into a wall doing nothing. She reached for her sword her eyes still shut, once again holding it in a backwards grip believing it could offer more protection that way. It was at this point her hands weaved the hand signs of Tatsu-Ne listening closely her head on a swivel as she continued to listen for the Hyuuga hoping she smoked him out with that fire ball. She simply yelled at herself if she was being honest she was disappointed she hadn't gained her sharingan yet, she imagined she could easily compete with this Hyuuga should she of had them but for now she could do nothing but try to snuff him out with her flame jutsu's.

It was a rather lovely day for being in the middle of winter. The wind was calm and light with the sun far off in the distance painted the sky in blues and oranges. The frequent clouds hung over head, some bearing more weight than others. Every so often, Zunair could hear the sound of birds chirping in the distance over the trickling creek nearby. The temperature was cool, not too cold and not to. Well, he wishes that was the case as it was actually cloudy, dark, and raining with a frequent roar of thunder. Making him wear his dark rain coat over his usual medical gear.

Zunair was walking down the gravel paved path towards the Hyūga compound. Using his handy dandy umbrella of course. He just finished his shift from the hospital and let's just say it was rather uneventful. The normal patients with the normal symptoms. However, Anima was especially being a little on edge today, more than usual. He wondered what was wrong with her, but he really didn't want to find out. It probably those interns that were training today. Childish and annoying. Even though they were his peers, they disrespected Anima and always talking out loud. He can tell they won't make it in that field, especially with the lack of chakra control they have.

Zunair shrugged it off as he continued to walk in the light pour. He past small building here and there with very few people passing by. He couldn't even tell what time it was for he stayed late as his work, but he didn't work the night shift. The next building came into his ocular field of vision was the famous advance training facility that Konoha had built a while back. He's only been there once, that was when he was a Genin and met a few of his friends, friends that are long gone by now.

He could hear the faint sound fighting over the pitter patter of the rain. Must be a couple people training. Being nosy as he was, Zunair used his Byakugan to peek inside. At least from this distance he can the individuals that inhabitant the place, but what he saw made him chuckle. He could clearly see Onabi was one of the individuals, another was Xena, a student in the academy and from what he could tell, the other one was too. A smirk formed across his lips as the female Uchiha tried using the fireball technique on Onabi. That won't work, he's too fast for it; plus, if it did hit, it wasn't strong enough do actually do anything. Shaking his head and closing his umbrella, he walked in.

The room he entered was a typical training room with all the equipment and necessities needed. Placing his back against the wall and crossing his arms, he watched as the two Uchiha tried to - I guess you would call it - fight against Onabi. At least they were trying.

"Onabi, are we playing fair," Zunair said with a sarcastic smirk painted a crossed his face. The Hyūga cousin might be from the same clan, but they were entirely different. Especially in the sense of fighting styles. Which made them that much more compatible in missions. Onabi was like a speedster and tank, all in one: crushing blows and up front, whereas Zunair was more of a supporting, long-ranged fighter. Almost like a perfect duo.

"Maybe you should give the two a chance, or should I join their side? So, you can have some to pick on that's your own size," Zunair smirked, already figuring out what Onabi is going to respond with.

Izuna was starting to regret his life choices rather vehemently. What he thought would just be a basic training exercise with fellow academy students had devolved into a chunin level slugfest and he was completely out of his element here. His kunai was neutralized quite trivially. The next thing he knew his teammate was hurtling towards him. Izuna ducked. It wasn't quite necessary as Xena manage to right herself. Shortly thereafter she had sent a, to Izuna, quite large fireball into the air.

Izuna was overcome with envy in that moment, dragged back into his own personal hell of pessimism for a couple seconds before he remembered where he was. The fireball didn;t manage to do anything, and he realized that he had no clue where the Hyuuga had gone off to. Xena seemed quite miffed about the whole thing but Izuna was just confused and a little scared. He had no way to locate the significant threat to his physical well being.

Panicking slightly he grabbed a shuriken and tossed it straight behind him, then pivoted and tossed one in the opposite direction, switching back to his left then his right and so on. Until he had run out of shuriken and he switched to kunai in his paranoid frenzy.
To be fair it would have been quite difficult to approach him without deflecting a kunai or two.

Also he wasn't considering friendly fire at this point. Reason had to be abandoned in the face of insurmountable adversary and Izuna wasn't getting a broken back without a fight.

The sound of a Hyuuga sounding voice had him sending three kunai downrange at the new unfortunate participant in this very fun training activity. He didn''t notice he had become scarily accurate with the sharp pieces of metal under such intense pressure.

Onabi laughed to himself  hearing the quick witted response from the Elder Uchiha, she truly seemed to stay calm under pressure. She would become an amazing shinobi with the right training. As he clung to his location peering down at the two younger students he watched as she started to fry the training facility with fire jutsus that the Uchiha clan was most famous for. It was a little cliche to hear some yell out the name of the jutsu that they were using. Onabi would have to correct that out of them, After the stream of flame Xena started to cough. The more Onabi analyzed the girl the more he wanted to help and teach her. after draining a bit of energy she dropped into a defensive position keeping her eyes surveilling the area and not on one fixed position. which was smart. Onabi smiled and turned his attention to the other student.

Izuna did not keep the same composure as his elder, his eyes were crazed and he was frightened. Onabi supposed that this young Uchiha never had to go against people that overwhelmed him as much as the 9 year old shinobi had. This would be a good experience for this young boy. he will realize that there are people that would destroy him extremely fast and there are fights that you cant win. Hanging still Onabi watched as the young boy started to panic. Onabi realized that the boy was dead set on learning the fireball style that his clan was proud of, Izuna seemed to idealize the jutsu and hold it on a pedestal and watching the same jutsu that he saw as one of the most powerful abilities of his clan do nothing to the person that was testing them, it looked like his mind snapped in that moment, throwing weapons non stop. onabi keeping an eye where each weapon would hit he noticed a chakra signature that was entering the facility become the target of Izuna's temper tantrum.

Onabi dropped from the ceiling were he was hiding and caught the sharp weapon that the young Izuna had thrown. Looking at Izuna Onabi's brow furled and it looked almost like Onabi wanted to end the young Uchiha's life. "Izuna Uchiha, You have just attacked the heir to the Hyuuga clan. stop your frenzy before I decide that you need some form of punishment." Hoping that Onabi display of anger and physical ability would make the young academy student stop his flurry of projectiles. Onabi looked at Xena hoping that she was okay. If she was under threat from the flurry that Izuna dispensed Onabi would intervene and catch or block the attacks. But assuming that Xena was safe on her own Onabi would turn to his Elder and the heir to the Konoha branch of the Hyuuga family and bow to him. "My lord I was testing the abilities of these two aspiring shinobi. I have been shown a ledger of new shinobi to help take under my wing and i saw that these two were on the list i had received." Onabi stood from his bow to talk to Zunair in an easier manner. "Well if you would like to join them in their test I would be honored but please ask the two participants if they are okay with it."


Onabi turned too the young Uchiha's and held up the silver bell that hung from a red thread. "would you like a handicap? I can have this Chunnin join your team. Or you can quit now, and leave here wallowing in shame."

Izuna didn't want to be here anymore. The scorned Uchiha had learned nothing in the spar. Not to mention the anger the person he was hoping to learn lightning techniques from made the likelihood of being taught anything nonexistent. Onabi's reappearance alongside his clan member made Izuna stop his frenzy. He felt bitter. Onabi's offer to end the exercise, despite the taunt was the opportunity he was looking for.

When Izuna was happy he talked a lot, Izuna was not happy right now. He didn't say anything, but slowly took his time recovering the kunai and shuriken that laid strewn on the ground. He then simply walked up to the where the two Hyuuga were speaking to one another. Squeezed past them without a word and left the indoor training facility. The storm was raging outside, Izuna walked into it without hesitation. The distraction was welcome, his anger came from his inability to do anything in the fight, Xena had at least put up something of a fight. Onabi's condescending words echoed in his mind. "Wallow in shame"? Is that what he should be feeling, because he only felt anger and bitterness as he made his way back home, Contemplating the day.

Xena wasn't entirely aware of who threw the Shurikens, her eyes still shut, though she heard them spinning through the air, her sword at the ready she had blocked one and with a movement she slashes the other two sending them into the ground next to her, it was now that she opened her eyes, they had been shut for so long she finally decided it wouldn't matter anymore. As she opened them the first thing she saw was light, too much, it was somewhat blinding, but she managed to shake it off, as she scanned the room the next thing she saw was the Hyuuga clans man getting together, when had another one arrived she questioned. Though now... she looked at her fellow clans man, he looked defeated, upset and most of all, bitter. She wanted to go console him but before she could move he had already made his way out the door through the hyuuga's taunting. With some disappointment she threw a Kunai, its direction was towards the bells the Hyuuga was now holding, hoping to catch him off guard as he was likely looking at Izuna leaving, though she hoped beyond most things it hit his hand instead. Regardless of what the kunai did she'd simply say. "You need to learn how to read a room better." With a tone of disgust, she couldn't believe she hadn't at least opened her eyes to check on her teammate, but she had a excuse at least, she couldn't see, while the Hyuuga should of been able to see everything.

Picking up the shurikens now on the ground she wanted to go after Izuna, but it'd be best to just return them too him later, when he's feeling better, she should be able to find him at some point in the Uchiha district, assuming she made it back there, she half expected the Hyuuga to attack her for what she just did but she didn't care, it was deserved regardless of what happened. Slowly she placed the shuriken in her bag and just sighed now walking over to a wall to lean on, she needed to think now, perhaps she'd have a better chance learning lightning style on her own then with someone who was acting like this, was she going over board she didn't even know, but she could feel a well of hate in her soul, it made her head hurt in all honesty, but she tried to ignore it.

Zunair didn't expect Onabi to act like this, but he should've known it would've happened in regard to the attack the male participant threw at him. Onabi really didn't need to defend him as Zunair could've easily done it himself. But sticking to his roots, Onabi did just that, catching the kunai ever before it reached its destination. Well, what about the other two. With all the eyesight, it seemed he missed the other two. Fear not, just a simple step to the side and the duo of kunais slammed against the wall.

"Thanks for the protection, but it is fine, no need for the punishment," Zunair gave off a small cackle after Onabi angrily announced Zunair's status and how the unnamed male should be punished. 

That wouldn't stop Onabi as he continued on. At least he was kind enough to invite Zunair join their sparring match? If that what it should even be called. He could tell the unnamed Uchiha member is definitely not on par with Onabi. As for Xena, she's still in the academy, plus she has to take her exam in a couple days. Is Onabi trying to teach them something or downright assault them. Whatever the case may be, Izuna, who he come to recognize as well, moved towards them. Anger, bitter, rage was all present upon the Uchiha member. I guess the teenage angst runs rampant through the whole clan and sticks with them for a lifetime.

Anyway, Izuna has decided to take his leave and he figured Xena would follow suit, but it appears she has lingered behind. Squinting his eyes, he looked at Xena. While her features were the same as her clansmen, her attitude was sort of different. Instead of Onabi, instead of expressing her feelings, it almost seems like she keeps them bottled in to implode on herself. Something Zunair used to do back in the day when he was still training under his father's tutelage. She has impeccable chakra control for someone still in the academy, but they have those every year, right? Zunair can see some of himself in her. Maybe once she graduates, she'll be positioned on his team where he could help thrive and maybe develop her own path.

"I think I'll leave you two to continue whatever you're doing. Zunair finished with a few hand signs before teleporting out of the training facility to the Hyūga compound.
