Leadership: Kaizoku, as a Pirate Crew, follow the orders of their captain. At any given time there is only a single captain. The main authority of the captain comes in the form of commanding the crew and piloting the ship, with its leader exhibiting courage and skill as the essential traits. The captain must also be skilled in fighting, with an unspoken understanding that they will accept most, if not all, challenges that the crew will face. Aside from these duties, the captain does not have much more authority than that.
In the captain's absence, the authority defers to the first mate. Though the first mate itself does not have specific duties and delegations unless the captain is absent, they still command a high level of respect from the crew. Typically they are seen as the one maintaining the order on the ship, gathering intel for the crew's potential destinations, and seeking innovations for the betterment of the ship.
If the captain and first mate are both absent, the quartermaster is the next in line for leadership. They however are also responsible for the ship's artillery and armory, tactical assignments, and assigning roles to new crew members.
All together the captain, first mate, and quartermaster work in tandem to ensure proper order aboard the Dreadnought.
