Re: The Knock that Never Came [Village Exit]

The hands rested on the table twitched slightly at the smirk that formed on their face, though her own expression remained bored - eyes half lidded as she stared at it’s response. Codex was ‘their’ name, and the way it described itself and it’s purpose in terms of the village and it’s leader her mind couldn't help but make the comparison to Arantima - the one in her company who fit the same description. It was the ‘herself’ that brought a spark to bored eyes once more however, the white of the byakugan unchanged but the red that was threatening to overtake the violet in her other eye sharpened with interest.
The declaration of it’s intent for Sunagakure held no sway over her heart - no indication that she felt anything but dismissal at the words. Those declarations weren’t new nor were they unexpected; all villages were destined to fall and she of the mind to simply grin at these words as they echoed her own desires. The smile was quickly wiped from her face as her eyes skirted the room once more - the memory of her own actions weighing on her momentarily. Without looking at them again she would answer their question, the look of regret evident enough and unhidden.
“It seems as though my own measures to disappear from the world worked a bit too well.”/b]She contemplated for a breath how much of her ability to disappear into obscurity she wanted to reveal, landing on her own form of truth she would loose a breath and turn her face to theirs once more. “My name used to be fairly known as the Kazekage of Sunagakure, it used to be spat from mouths with disdain or chuckled through sneering faces with insults quickly following it. I was to have my powers ripped from me if I were to leave Sunagakure peacefully… so instead I slipped away and hid in plain sight to the tune of my name being wiped from current memory. It has its advantages of course but as it is now a hindrance it lacks the same appeal.”
Rolling her shoulders as if tiring of the cramped environment she would lean forward onto her hands with a flicker of her own playfulness. “Should I show you just how I managed to be so forgotten? How I became like dust in the minds of anyone who knew my name and face?” Without so much as waiting a moment longer she would lift her chin from her hands and slide through the hand seals with such ease it was hardly two heartbeats before her skin seemed to shimmer and the exact replica of Kenshin Uzumaki sat - the expression she had worn before the shift still plastered in it’s place. The entire room felt stifling as the chakra energy so distinct to Kenshin filled it’s space - completely erasing the idea that Mizuki and her own chakra ever existed.
She only allowed the jutsu to remain active long enough to watch their expression before snapping her fingers and bringing herself back to her original state. Crossing her arms she would lean back, crossing her leg over her knee, a smirk like the one he had given her now toyed her own lips. “You have no idea how many people I can be, and how useful such a trick that can be… especially seeing how closely our ideals align. So, Codex, do we have more to discuss?”

Codex watched, barely quirking an eyebrow at the woman's words, the explanation she had taken measures to ensure her disappearance from the world a point of interest; one the living archive made certain to cover its interest in, when she leaned forward, offering to show codex the technique it had to resist the urge to lean in excitedly, however before it could reply to the woman she had activated her technique, the woman's visage, and even the scent of her chakra changing and shifting into something deeply wrong, something that triggered a primal response within the construct, something that despite its artificial nature had carried over from its creator's psyche.
As the form of the butcher of the sands resolved into being before it the construct gripped the table, every fiber of it's being screaming at it to lunge for the monster before it, even knowing logically that this was but an incredibly detailed simulacrum the construct still could do naught but to sit there, visibly struggling not to attack the figure before it... then the moment was gone and, with a snap of the woman's fingers the technique was released.
When the woman asked if they had more to discuss the construct sat there for a time, breathing and collecting its thoughts before speaking... "We do lady Ohta, yet i think it best we take some time, the presence of the butcher is not something easily shrugged off, even for one such as myself, I will not hold you from your travels any longer, yet perhaps we should continue our discussions over correspondence in the following days?" codex answered, still somewhat shaken by experiencing it's creators visceral response rising up from deep within it's psyche.
Should the woman aquiess the construct would exchange information with the woman before escorting her outside and allowing her to exit the village.

The reaction was just short of visceral, the expression crossing it’s face was close to fear and as she took a small breath in the scent of fresh sweat was just touching the air. Though Codex kept itself in it’s seat by sheer force of will it was thrilling to see what a reaction wearing that mask could produce. Now that she thought of it she had never donned that particular mask though she had it all this time, it made her wonder what other reactions she could garner; good or bad. The sudden change of her appearance back to herself was met with relief, not only was the shift physical but Codex was addressing her differently as well.
The smirk slid into a smile of respect as he called her ‘Lady’, how she used to hate being addressed as such when she was Kazekage - but times change and so do tastes it seemed. Nodding to his words she would stand, hand grazing the back of the chair as her eyes stayed on theirs. “I would very much like that Codex, when I return to my home I will be sure to send word. Respond in due time, whatever that time may be.” Her eyes shifted from his face to his ‘too still’ body before allowing herself to be escorted out.
She was not bothered, not even looked at by the guard as she was released to go about her business. Nor did she look to her back as she walked off, an air of ease about her. In retrospect she could have easily slipped from the village without a soul the wiser she had ever been there - but all things had value - and that value was the time it took from her travels. She had much to discuss with her family, many paths laying open to them and she was anxious to hear what path they wanted to choose first. Perhaps even some time in the training rings would benefit not only them, but herself.
The way Codex spoke it seemed they would be entering conflict soon enough, one way or another.

The above claim cannot go through as there was a village warfare topic going on at the time and this character did exceed 150 stats.
