A Rising Star

It was probably mid morning when the Blue Star woke up and jumped out of bed full of vigor. Today was a day like any other where he would train and build himself up. After being a genin for a while he needed to improve and rapidly so that he could rise up through the ranks of the village and continue to show just how bright he could shine. Grabbing his usual attire he would get dressed and begin to head out of the house toward the Advanced Training Facility. He knew that within those hallowed walls he would be able to accelerate his growth at least until the point where he couldn’t anymore. His stride was quick but with purpose as he walked through the expansive village with nothing but a determined smile on his face. He debated on either training some of his clans techniques or the basis for them since he has been told that one needed the “Golden Eye” in order to truly be able to break the ceiling and be able to utilize the Akari Clans most dangerous techniques but his parents didn’t know how. They were the only ones that did not unlock it which he never understood but he was determined to not walk in their footsteps. As he entered the facility he would pull out his shinobi id and present it to the person in front before heading in. A simple formality for now until the whole village knew his name. Now that he was within the halls his training would begin .

After getting into the facility and picking an area for himself he would begin to warm up with a few stretches. Toe touches, arm rolls and the whole nine before jumping up and down before walking over to the weapons rack. There he could see a fare few options to choose from that would let him figure out what exactly would be best for him. Unfortunately for him none of them had piqued his interest so he had grabbed a katana and began swinging it to get a good feel for the weight of the weapon. It took him only a few moments to actually get acclimated to it and once he did he began training. Walking over to a nearby training dummy he would begin to strike it, starting simple with his warm up strikes before going into more intricate combinations. Each one would focus on a key part of a persons body as if they were trying to attack him. His mind had played out many scenarios of someone attacking him with a weapon. If they came at him from above, aiming to strike at his shoulder down to his midsection from the right he would parry the attack before striking with the pommel of his sword, then with a swift flick of the wrist bring the sword back around before slashing at their stomach. If they had came from his right trying to strike across his chest he would block the blade and gain distance before going on the offensive offering a feint attack before attacking from their blind spot. Not a movement would be wasted as he continued to train.

Each swing echoed off of the dummy as Ryuko continued his cadence without thought, without even skipping a beat as his feet moved from left to right. For many it was a stationary dummy but for him it had been a moving target someone fighting tooth and nail with him. Within the expanse of his mind this foreign foe had been trading blows beat for beat as each one attempted to end the life of the other. Steel clanged as sparks flew in the rainy nighttime sky. With each slash and thrust the raindrops gave way as if they were trying to avoid the very battle as their eyes locked onto one another not moving an inch. The foe dropped low and attempted to bisect him from hip to left shoulder but Ryuko had been smart. He blocked the blade and moved backward along with the force of the blow gaining a few inches of room before coming back into the fray, switching the grip on his sword from his left to his right and began to attack in a different cadence. The glowing in his eyes became brighter as the storm cleared and from the heavens the stars would begin to twinkle and shine. In a brilliant flash he would begin to go on the true offensive. Pushing back his foe he would begin to attack tactfully, and unpredictable. For each swing he would not let up on the foe until they had bent the knee in an attempt to block and that was when he ended it. Within the real world he would sheathe the weapon and take in a deep breathe as he stepped back and smiled.
