Book Work at the Tavern
Sat Apr 15, 2023 2:31 am
Travin walked into the tavern with a few books under his arm. He had been looking up a few subjects to increase his potency. Both his combat skills and his knowledge over the different kinds of jutsu’s and specialties. The tavern was not very full at the moment, so Travin was able to get his normal seat in the corner of the tavern. He liked it due to the large table it had, and the fact it was the furthest away from both the jukebox and the bar. Taking his seat Travin sat the books down in front of him before reaching up and screwing the lightbulb in a little bit further to increase the light at the table. He chose carefully with a practiced ease, as the lightbulb he picked only shined down on the table and not on himself or the other booth.
The barmaid walked up and asked if he needed anything. To which Travin asked for Ale, and a pastry cake. The barmaid agreed and walked away to get his food. Laying out the six books in front of him he tried to pick which book he would read through first. Each book covered a different specialty: Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Fuinjutsu, Medical ninjutsu, Space Time ninjutsu, and Sensory. He was already fairly proficient in both ninjutsu and genjutsu, so he slid those two books to the side and stacked them on top of each other. He needed to figure out what he was going to study next, as he knew that most jounin specialized in at least three specialties, and he was not one for taijutsu or Bukijutsu as he left those books out. However, Fuinjutsu, Medical, Space Time, and Sensory were all open for him to start trying to figure out. Each with a different positive and negative for each one. Sensory being the one that he didn’t really feel that he needed to focus too hard on thanks to his Sharingan. He always thought that being able to move around the battlefield at extreme speeds would be very useful, and while he lacked the physical ability to do so like his friend Lucian. He could make up for that with teleportation, and simply teleport around the battlefield instead.
Travin sat at the table picking up the book on Space Time Ninjutsu. He knew that it would not be an easy read, as space time ninjutsu was one of the harder specialties to pick up on, but he was pretty sure that was what he was going to be going with. The barmaid would return about the time he made his decision and he would place the book back down to his side before picking the rest up and stacking them neatly on the side of the table, and telling the barmaid to keep the Ale coming. Taking a look around the tavern he noticed that a few more people had started to come in now. He liked the place since it was a shinobi bar. No one questioned why someone would come in with books, and would just assume the normal mission research, or jutsu research one. Travin would sit in the corner of the tavern and enjoy his pastry and Ale while keeping an eye out for anyone else entering the tavern.

But someone would come to question him on why he entered with books. Saturn struggled to walk in a straight line as he approached the corner table, then planted his hands on the oak wood looking down at Travin. He smacked the book out of the Genin's hands and scowled at him. Leaning in towards him would reveal his nasty breath. "What do you know about time space ninjutsu?"

"Huh. Guess he knew a little bit." Saturn's animated face became bland once again as the man in front of him vanished into thin air.
