First day on the Job
Mon May 15, 2023 8:43 am
Cole awoke on the ship in his new room. After Auron and himself agreed to terms he was given a tour of the ship and showed his room and office. With being named the ship's new master of Seals and given a smaller office than the other titled crew he was ready to get some work done. After all, he had agreed to design a powerful fuinjutsu barrier around the ship, and he would need to get to work on it, and pick up supplies in the next town they hit. With a piece of paper scrolled across his desk with a copy of the blue prints of the ship. Cole started to lay the groundwork for a fuinjutsu barrier figuring up the square footage of the entire exterior of the ship where the seals themselves would be laid while also figuring up the square footage of one of the smaller compartments in the base of the ship where he can tie everything together and get a little extra going for the barrier.
With his numbers set and written down he now knew just how big the seal would end up as, and it was quite a job to say the least. He didn’t know the ship was going to be this size when he agreed to this part of the term, but he was a man of his word when he did give it, however rare that was. With his square footage done and his math finished he started to work on the design of the seal itself. He needed it to be big and powerful, which was a given, but he also wanted it to block out scrying and prevent people from teleporting onto the ship without warning. With a pencil in his hands and just those words written down he started to think that this was probably going to end up being two seals. Placed on the ship which got him thinking if he was going to make two seals to cover the ship, he might as well get everything he could out of both of them.
Pulling out another sheet of paper he started to write once more. Writing seal one and seal two on their respective sheets of paper. Seal one would be the physical defense of the ship, while seal two would be the interior defense of the ship. One page one he wrote down barriers and fog banks. Since they were on a ship it shouldn’t be too hard to write out a seal that used the friction from the water they were riding in to store up power to defend the ship, while taking the water that was being burned up and using it to create a fog that covered the ship and surrounding areas. For his next idea for the interior defense of the ship to keep others from teleporting onto or into the ship he would need Auron help, as he was the only one that Cole knew of for now that was skilled in space time ninjutsu. Writing down tp bank and fuin seals on the sheet of paper with an arrow pointing down he started to write out his idea. If he could create a spacetime bank of energy trapped inside of a fuinjutsu seal. It was possible that he could create a teleportation beacon capable of blocking teleportation to the ship without the correct seal placed on them. While also allowing anyone with the seal placed on them to freely teleport to any location that a seal was currently at.
The ideas both had merit and he would do both of them assuming he got the approval of his planes. Since he was not about to spend days cooped up in this office only for Auron to tell him no once he had all the work done and was ready to place the seals. For this reason Cole left his new office after only a few hours of writing math and drawing, and went looking for the captain. Walking out of the office he turned and started down the hall since his office was at the end of a dead end hallway. He would keep walking till he ran into someone or the captain himself.
