Stones and Secrets [P]

“What in the hell was that kiddo? Come on now you will need to do better than that to start breathing fire. You think the red dragons of Haven shoot fireballs with that pathetic form?” Tonari was laughing and teasing her son as he tried and failed for the hundredth time to perform the great fireball jutsu. He had been going for hours and could not seem to get a break. He was growing frustrated by the minute, his mother’s minor bullying infuriating him further.

“Don’t pull that face ya little baby. You think your opponent is not going to try distracting you in the middle of battle? Suck it up and focus on what you are doing. If my teasing is too distracting, you may as well give up on ever being a Shinobi!” She was being mean, but not without reason. The experience Shinobi knew exactly what she was talking about and her only intention was to educate her son and prepare him for the outside world. It was a dangerous world after all.

The boy had gotten more frustrated, finally asking his mother for some advice on what he was doing wrong. “Well well well, look who finally swallowed his cute little pride and decided to ask mommy for some help!” After laughing at the boy for glowing red with rage, Tonari sighed and activated her Sharingan, standing up straight looking directly at him. “Alright then. Try it again and I will explain to you what you are doing wrong, put everything you have into it!”

After another attempt (and failure), Tonari frowned and raised an eyebrow. Deactivating her Sharingan, she stared at the boy seriously. “Well there is your issue. Your chakra network is all over the place silly boy. You are not focusing properly, clearly your judgment is being clouded by something.” She went on to lecture him for another ten minutes on what he was doing wrong and how to fix it. Of course, it would take longer for the boy to eventually learn the technique.

The boy asked his mother about her eyes, and how she had managed to achieve them. Laughing, Tonari placed a hand on her son’s head. “These eyes are something you will need to learn about on your own, little boy. If I told you how to do everything, you would never be able to learn a single thing on your own now, would you?” Seeing his frustrated little face, she sighed again and rolled her eyes. “I will not teach you how to activate your Sharingan kiddo. However, I will say one thing. When you eventually unlock and master the Sharingan, you need to go to the sacred Uchiha Meeting place. And you need to go alone.”

“Fix your gaze onto the tablet and concentrate. Only one who has mastered the Sharingan can learn the secrets of our clan. It was a story your grandfather used to tell me as a little girl. Sadly I am not strong enough to learn our secrets. But I know that you will be, you have the potential to be one of the very best.” The sound of thunder and rain crashed through the sunny skies as Tonari continued to talk. Tonari’s voice barely discernible through the sound. “The secrets are in the stone Tenshi…”

Tenshi jumped awake as another strike of thunder cracked in the sky. He was staring up at his pitch black ceiling, it was clearly the middle of the night, but his thin walls offered no protection from the outside noises. He had been dreaming of a past training session with his mother. He had been a mere child at the time with absolutely no ability, but his mother had been patient and put her all into training the lad. Over the years, he had forgotten her words until only recently. This same dream had been plaguing his nights, he could not get them out of his head and Tenshi had no idea why. Most specifically, those same words kept echoing through his head.


It had been frustrating him for weeks now. He had gone to the sacred Uchiha meeting place after the third dream, yet saw no stones. He had shrugged and left, assuming that he had been imagining the words. But no, the dreams kept persisting, and Tenshi’s curiosity continued to grow. The meeting place was often guarded, with few people allowed to enter without express permission outside of clan meetings. Tenshi decided he was going to give himself permission tonight…

Dressing in a subtle black on black outfit, with thinner shoes than usual, Tenshi prepared to leave his apartment under the cover of the storm. It was roughly 2am and nobody else was out, most likely asleep or indoors, away from the elements. Even so, Tenshi made sure to sneak over the rooftops, activating his Sharingan to make sure nobody else spotted him. Finally, he reached the meeting place building. As per usual, there was a guard stationed out the front, but to Tenshi’s luck, the young Uchiha woman was dozing off on the job. Somehow she was sleeping through the storm with her back against the exterior wall, covered by the overhanging window above her.

Grinning, Tenshi made his way to the opposite side of the entrance, where another window was placed. Waiting for the sound of thunder to strike, Tenshi wiggled the window open, making a gap large enough for him to fit through. Double checking to ensure that the woman was still asleep, Tenshi finally made his way into the meeting place. It was dead silent inside, the only sounds coming from the storm, thankfully nobody was present at this time. Tenshi began to investigate.

Like last time, there were no stones around. His mother’s words confusing him yet again. But this time he was not leaving until he finally understood her meaning. He searched every nook and cranny, looking for absolutely anything out of the ordinary. After what felt like half an hour of looking through the room, Tenshi finally dropped down on the floor beside the speaker’s podium.


What was that sound? Where did it just come from? There was nobody else around and the door was still locked. Wait, it had come from underneath him. He quickly got up and bounced on the spot a couple of times.


The was something underneath these boards. More accurately, there was space underneath the boards. Without thinking, Tenshi found the corner of boards and began removing them. They were large panels and they came off easily, clearly they were designed to be removable by whoever had placed them there. After they had been removed, Tenshi stared down in shock at a set of stairs. They were descending to a room below, which Tenshi quickly entered.

The room was virtually empty. Barren all around with plain walls and a couple of spots for torches to be placed. There was only one thing that stood out here and it was at the back center of the room. A large stone tablet.


His mother’s words rang through his head as he walked up to the tablet. This was the stone she had talked about. This had to be it. When he looked upon it, there was naught but a few words which meant nothing to him. Some nonsense about the importance of the clan that the elders would always spout. Activating his Sharingan, Tenshi gasped lightly as more words appeared before him. However, once more these words did not truly educate him on anything. There was more to it, he just knew there was. It was at that moment when a thought crossed his mind. Something else he could do to further enhance his vision. There was a risk to it, but he was being driven forward.


With that, he sighed and relaxed his shoulders. Mangekyo Sharingan! Activating his secret ability, Tenshi’s jaw almost dropped to the ground. More words appeared upon the tablet. Many things he read made no sense to the young Uchiha. Appearing to be written by some form of madman. As Tenshi continued to read through the tablet, he began getting tired and drowsy, perhaps he should be here at this moment in time.

After a short while, Tenshi had replaced the boards above and snuck back out of the meeting place. He had learned what he needed to and it was time to take his leave before the guard outside stirred.

The secrets sure are in the stone mother… Those were some unsettling secrets though…

It is not something that you will learn about unless someone tells you, or you purchases a specific item that gives you such knowledge. So, I will have to ask you to explain to me, show to me, proof that you have that supports these claims you’re making.
