Prelude To The Festival

Welcome, one and all, to the first annual Otogakure Festival Of Sound!

We are very pleased to see just how much love and dedication Otogakure has garnered since officially becoming a village at the beginning of June this year. To celebrate this and the milestone of our village officially reaching fifteen characters from a player-base totaling thirteen players, we wanted to share this love with those who helped to make this dream of ours possible; you!

THE FESTIVAL OF SOUND

The Festival of Sound is an event in which music, love, and drinks can be shared at no expense whatsoever. Make sure to visit the different stands to get the most out of the event, show off your strength with the High Striker game (try to ring the bell with the swing of a mallet), test our your accuracy with the Ball Toss game, and much, much more! This festival will last a total of 3 days in-character.

In true festival style, large groups of people will be intermingling with each other. As such, a large character-development thread will be created for those who are looking to simply enjoy the festival and interact with each other. This main thread will be open to each and every individual who are currently in Otogakure itself. For those who are looking to participate in the event-exclusive, we ask that you create a separate private thread labeled with your name (example: "Festival of Sound: Guest's Games [Private]").

In the event that a player participates in and successfully completes all four of the aforementioned missions, they will also get the option to select 1 of 4 prizes from this list of special prizes! Please select which prize you desire, reach out to Kaito via Discord, and he will purchase the item on your behalf from the village's ninja shop. The obtainable prizes are as follows....
THE PRIZES:
Note that the Festival of Sound will go live at exactly midnight on July 20th, 2023 and will remain open until the end of the Tournament of Sound, which is detailed below. Should a player feel as though they would like to leave the event early, they will be more than welcome to do so if they so choose to by simply exiting from the festival threads.

THE HARMONIC SHOWDOWN

The Harmonic Showdown will take place on the second day of the Festival of Sound. It is a showcase of one's abilities in the performing arts, and it is expected to bring a lot of talent. Signup is voluntary, but each participant will have 1 post to showcase the best of their abilities, after which a round of judges will provide their scores for the performance overall. The individual with the highest score will be declared the winner and will be granted a very special prize!

[b]THE SOUND TOURNAMENT

The main event of the Festival of Sound is the Sound Tournament. It is to take place on the third and final day of the festival. It will consist of a single round of 1-on-1 fights, and the matchups will be determined by the master of ceremonies at the start of the tournament.

Signup is for this event is also voluntary, but for this event, we have decided to implement a special handicap system to make things fair for everyone. All health pools are limited to a maximum of 100, and all Jutsu slots are limited to what a D-Rank player will be able to have at maximum (5 A-Rank Jutsu, 10 B-Rank Jutsu, 15 C-Rank Jutsu, 15 D-Rank Jutsu, and 15 E-Rank Jutsu). To move fights along in a timely manner, a "time limit" will also be implemented, allowing for 6 posts from each participant during a fight (maximum of 12 posts all together). At the end of that time limit, a winner will be determined.

Keep in mind that killing your opponent is not acceptable. Should it occur that a participant's HP would drop to or below 0, they will simply pass out instead. To ensure this, all fighting topics will be labeled as [No Kill]. The winners of their respective matches will also be granted a very special reward, so make sure to do your best!

Kaito made his way to the village's Amphitheatre just as the sun was beginning to rise; the sound of the birds filling the unlively streets.

He felt that this would be the perfect time to announce what he and the other founders had been organizing the past few weeks, and to announce it via a flyer at the Amphitheatre, which saw massive amounts of foot traffic throughout the day, it was the perfect way to maximize attendence.

The Uchiha made his way to the large announcement board stationed just outside of the large complex and quickly got to work setting up the flyer and tacking it to the board with pushpins. Once he finished, he took a step back, placed his hands upon his hips, and nodded before turning back towards the Otokage's Mansion with an excited grin on his face. He couldn't wait for the festival to begin...
