Quinn recovered after the first set of affairs but with more wildly crazier things growing and developing it was time to reconvene with the group. Arriving at the initial meetup place once more, Quinn lazily watched as the sky was darker with each passing day but with the contrast of the clouds in the far distance, a rift could be seen growing on the mainland. A sigh would escape the blacksmith's face as it contorted a bit in sleeplessness. Quinn was a creature of habit and rather direct in their day-to-day affairs and since this whole mess began it was growing to become exceptionally difficult to maintain that affair. With the assortment of issues to deal with and handle, there was no normal day for most within the village of Otogakure. A few creatures flew in the distance, unaware of the impending shinobis who were on duty removing their plight from the Land of Sky. Quinn stared without much emotion on their face as usual, just focusing on the passage of time while they awaited their companions for the day's affairs.

As such they knew that the others would likely look to take more action and gather once more to take on the challenges they were facing as a group. With their bat in hand, they were prepared to do what was needed to discuss, plan, fight, remove, etcetera. on the rifts that were taking shape within the village. It was not just one occurrence anymore there were multiple now. Heavy bags remained under their eyes though that was the only real indication of restlessness that the Forgemaster showed outwardly. Nothing about their appearance would indicate as such as well. A steady force within the village, Quinn would not change due to pressure on such affairs. With their mind still focused, it was going to be a wild affair to handle and proceed with but nothing was going to deter them from being an active force in protecting their community. They stood before the test of time before Otogakure arrived as a concept, and they would do their best to make sure they did not have to remain standing to that test without it. In their mind, they went over what they had gone through already. There was a vast amount of concern and issues present to recount and look over but they were not necessarily the best at analysis.

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Sun Nov 05, 2023 11:46 pm

It had been almost a week since Otogakure's encounter with the infamous Space/Time rifts that had brought along with them the creatures of hell and beyond. The Otokage, along with the help of some of his most prized subordinates, were able to quell the situation within due time, and now that everything had calmed down Uchiha, Kaito had finally been able to sleep soundly again.

That was, however, until his personal assistant would deliver him a bombshell in the form of a handful of letters.

For the most part it had been a relatively normal day. Kaito had been stationed at his office for the entirety of the day as he signed off on the reconstruction efforts to get his precocious Otogakure back into shape. He was in the middle of signing the last piece of paperwork when a knock sounded at his door.

"Come in." He said plainly, not rising his head up from the paper before him. His assistant would do just that, rushing over to the desk with a look of concern upon her face.

"Lord Otokage," She said, setting the letter down on the desk. "We've received some letters from the other villages in surrounding countries. Confused, Kaito would look through all of the letters. While they all had their own personal correspondence, they all basically said the same thing; rifts had all opened over the course of the past few days, and over the course of the past few hours, a new, much larger rift had begun opening up from the heavens. Rushing over to the window, which he had not had the opportunity to look out of yet that day, the Otokage cursed to himself at the sight of what he saw. The letters had been right, and from what Kaito could see, the thing was much bigger than anything he had ever seen.

"There's no way in hell that thing originated above the village." He said, only able to follow the edges of the rift without even being able to see its center. "All Space/Time techniques originate from a focal point at its center. Bason on that alone, this thing could've originated above the sea or even the eastern continent."

"You really think its that big, Lord Otokage?" Asked the assistant.

"At least. Maybe even bigger." Kaito threw the blinds open as far as he could while he sat back down, beginning to pen more letters back to the surrounding countries. "Sned me the captains of the 'Sensory and Sealing Division', and send letters to Foster Quinn, Uchiha Hanzo, and Shokkou Raikur telling them to meet me here as soon as possible. I'll bring these letters to your desk in a short while so that we can send them back to the other countries."

"Yessir." The assistant said before bowing and taking her leave just as quickly as she had arrived.

Kaito waited outside of the Otokage's Mansion roughly an hour later . He had penned the messages to the leaders of the surrounding countries, and now he was awaiting the arrival of his previous mission mates. He had singlehandedly picked them for this mission as they were all very well rounded as a group, something that would come in very handy when dealing with these world-shaking cataclysms. Quinn would be the first to arrive, bat in hand and looking rather tired in comparison to himself.

"Glad you're here, Quinn. Thank you for answering my letter." Kaito bowed before looking up to the skies above. The rift had gotten bigger in a short amount of time, and now Kaito could see the same horrendous flying creatures that he thought he and his team had wiped out the previous week. "Looks like we've got our hands full with this again, but lets wait to act until the others arrive."

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Mon Nov 06, 2023 3:31 am
The eye bags under Raikur's eyes had grown exponentially over the last week. The young Shokku had forced himself to sleep as little as possible, sleeping no more than 8 hours in the last week alone. Although he had succeeded in keeping any potentially dangerous dreams at bay, the Genin could feel the negative effects washing over his body throughout the process, if he was not careful it would result in his untimely demise. He was sitting at his desk in his humble little home at the time, having chosen to simply write in a journal to pass the time when he was indoors, anything to keep him away from his bed. The journal in question was not a personal diary of any sort, instead Raikur was using it to keep track of all his ideas for the village. This included a draft he had made for the village's new prison, something that he had personally agreed to work on for the Otokage, this was before their most recent interaction. An interaction that had left Raikur feeling more than disgruntled with the leader of his village, his very own sensei.

He realised that the floor plan itself was now complete and ready to be delivered. Carefully tearing the relevant pages out of the journal, he picked up a very small flute before opening the room's window. He played a very quick tune on it and waited several minutes. Finally, a Shinobi hawk cawed loudly as it answered his summons and landed on the window sill in front of him, looking at the young Shokku expectantly. Rolling up the plans, he tied them to the bird before giving it a small treat and sending it on its way. He watched it for several moments as it flew off to the Otokage's Mansion. Sighing deeply, he was about to close the window before he noticed a similar shape flying away from the Mansion. He raised an eyebrow as he witnessed another hawk making its way towards his window. At first he thought it was the hawk that he had sent, had it gotten confused or something? But when it landed, he realised that this hawk carried a different message, directly from the Kage...

Realising that he had been summoned to Kaito for yet another mission regarding this unusual dream nonsense that had been plaguing Otogakure, Raikur got dressed and quickly made his way over. He arrived in mere minutes, striding past the guards and knocking on the Kage's door twice before walking right in. He did not know how Kaito would take this abrasiveness from one of his own Genin, but Raikur found it hard to sympathise at the moment. He was frustrated with Kaito and was not exactly thinking rationally.

Raikur looked his sensei directly in the eye, not bowing, nodding, or giving any other formal greeting. "The plans for the new prison have been completed, a messenger hawk will have delivered it to one of your workers by now." His words were as cold as his expression, hundreds of angry thoughts seeped through his mind as he looked at Kaito. The frustrations he had felt in their last mission together. The lack of any communication following his TWO victories in the Festival of Sound. The rejections he had received with his requests in the first private meeting the two of them had previously. The apparent favouritism that Kaito seemed to have with Hanzo, the very same Shinobi that Raikur had defeated in the Tournament of Sound. Everything. It was only after staring daggers at Kaito for a surprisingly long while that Raikur realised he had activated his Ascended Muragan, something that his Kage had likely never seen before. His eyes were a pitch black surrounding the dark, purple centre. It was a sight that would terrify most people, although he doubted the Kage would be scared of such things considering the eyes that he himself had.

It was only after several more moments that Raikur finally deactivated the Muragan before speaking. "Your orders Lord Otokage?" This would have appeared normal to anybody else, but following the conversation the two of them had here, Kaito would recognise that Raikur would have referred to him in a more casual or friendly way if he was not in a terrible mood with him.

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Mon Nov 06, 2023 10:03 am
Nearly a week has passed since the incident of the weird creatures that the Otokage, Quinn, Raikur and himself had witnessed and eventually cleared them from the village. Still however, Hanzo felt a strange tingly feeling that it was not over even though there was no news of any other strange creatures attacking the village. It seemed peaceful at first but the feeling that Hanzo had didn't change and wanted to be on guard if anything happens.

With his usual routine, Hanzo would take a hot shower and get dressed up and prepared to leave the house for some alone time training. Just as Hanzo closed the door behind him, he could see the hawk messenger of the Otokage flying towards him. He instantly knew that something had happened and it might be related to the past week's incident. As the hawk landed on his right arm that was stretched for it to land, Hanzo took off the letter from it and let it fly away.

As he read through the letter, he understood the issue was now only getting bigger as there have been multiple reports from all over the place that a small rift has begun to open up. Hanzo couldn't understand what was the root cause that these incidents are just getting more troublesome. Hanzo quickly made his way to the Otokage Mansion and knocked on the door twice before entering. As he entered he saw Quinn and Raikur already there with the Otokage present.

"Otokage sama" Hanzo bowed to his Sensei and greeted his fellow teammates. In that moment, Hanzo could feel a sense of tension within Raikur. If this was the old Hanzo, he would have spoken to Raikur about it, but now Hanzo has evolved into a revengeful creature that he is only after one thing, the dead body of his father. "What is the plan for the rift Otokage sama?" Hanzo asked and waited for his orders.

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Tue Nov 07, 2023 12:00 am
The full group was present now with initial greetings present fully, Quinn looked at the three and raised their hand once the question of the rift came into the forefront of the discussion. "Nothing." Quinn simply stated. Sure to turn the heads of all around them, Quinn would shrug and adjust their shoulder to pull their bat off their back and point towards the massive rift off in the far distance. "Not our problem." Quinn reiterated looking around and pointing it towards the smaller ones that were forming around the village. "That's the problem." From there Quinn's attention looked to the three and pointed their finger to their temple, "Also our problem. We're tired." From there they let out a sigh to let the thoughts of the other three stir before continuing.

Aware they spoke out of turn, Quinn turned their body to line up with Kaito before pinching the bridge of their nose and bowed. "Apologies. Not my call." After speaking this time Quinn turned to Raikur and Hanzo, "Apologies as well." With the thoughts moving it was only a matter of time before more issues arose for the group to handle and deal with. The spur of the moment issues that they already dealt with were likely only to become exasperated as the village dealt with more and more issues. The big catch twenty-two here was when were things going to occur or happen in the village. There was much to be concerned about and work towards for the quad of them. The Forgemaster now also outfitting the trio of genin, they could spot the insignia that they placed on each other their equipments. From Hanzo’s blade to Raikur’s gauntlet, Quinn eventually pulled their bat to inspect as they looked down at the insignia of their own work upon their battle bat.

That was when they realized something about the creatures and themselves, “What about… people who dream abstract. Dream about concepts. Dream not of animals, creatures, etcetera.” Quinn began to ramble a bit. As they explained that they hadn’t encountered such creatures near themselves and even if their dreams became mixed with others, it was people no animals or conceptual monsters. If anything, they elaborated, they dreamt of defeating them not running or escaping from them. “Might be possible. If given reprieve. Can fight in dreams.” They finally managed to get the words together to form a coherent thought. It was at this point that a rift opened nearby, close to the academy and amphitheater. There were some shinobi stationed nearby that rose to begin fighting as the group remained on standby awaiting for Kaito to direct them or lead them to handle issues.

Watching from a distance, it looked like the group had it covered so Quinn’s focus returned to that of the group. At which point their observation went to that of Hanzo and Raikur. “I’m dense. Not you two dense.” They stated as they pictured themselves with a cup of coffee. Their thoughts came out a little brash probably but the lack of sleep they were dealing with was matched by the others. “Definitely need some coffee. Likely others do too.” They included in their assessment of the situation for the group of them. Letting out a loud yawn then took their bat and gave it a swing before swinging it against their shin. A loud clang could be heard as the bat rang against Quinn’s sheer leg. Quinn pulled up their pant leg to inspect and felt the muscle tense a bit before relaxing and they provided a nod. “Should help stay awake. Anyone wanna try?” They offered as they adjusted their bat to rest on their shoulder once more. When revealing their shin, no bruise had formed where they struck as they did not simply swing the bat at their body. The swing was like any other swing that they would use in combat.

Awaiting to see the others responses, there was a volume and degree that the rift nearby was getting a bit bigger but the shinobi nearby seemed to be handling it still from what Quinn’s vision provided them. Shrugging it off stuff, their thoughts wandered back to that of why or how the rifts were working within their own world. It was a tumultuous task to take into consideration to prepare for what was coming up but with the largest of the rifts being far off in the distance, it likely would not be something the village of Otogakure would reach out towards to handle, deal with, or investigate. Another yawn would be let out by the Forgemaster as they were curious on if there was anything else that Kaito wished to go over with the trio of them. With their own assessment, the three of them were likely some of the strongest genin the village had to offer at this time, of them two shared a bloodline in Kaito and Hanzo and Raikur had his own that he stood proudly with, then there was Quinn. They had their own family that they supported and stood at the front of but it was different. They themselves did not possess any innate skill or unique ability like the doujutsu that was possessed by the others but they knew that it was one way to the compare the company they shared. Quinn also knew, even if it was a showcase match, was the only one of the three to take down Kaito, let alone struck some degree of fear into Raikur upon their first meeting with their menacing title of, ‘Destroyer of Balls’. Though they were sure that putting them as the strongest of the four was likely folly to consider with everything going on. The others had good range options available and accessible to them. That much was obvious and in need with these creatures, though Quinn’s physical superiority shined in its own way against the others specialties, as Quinn remembered Kaito commenting on their capacity being at an advantage.

It was at this time that Quinn noticed the rift nearby grew in size once more. The team slowing down before they watched one on a rooftop let out what looked like a yawn before laying down if their own accord. “Not good. Need to go help.” They stated pointing towards the group of shinobi that seemed to be succumbing to sleeping on the job though Quinn could no blame them. They were tired too and it probably was time to take the fight onward and forward but also to let some of their shinobi find some amount of rest soon.

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Tue Nov 07, 2023 6:09 pm

Raikur would be the next to arrive in quick order. Kaito wasn't the least surprised by this, in fact he had expected his tenacity. The Shokkou had been hard at work since their previous meeting at the mansion in which he had voiced his desire to becoming the head warden at Chikyū Prison upon its completion, and since that time the Otokage had been putting him through a sort of... test. While a very harsh test in nature, including outright ignoring the boy and being rude to him, Kaito had to ensure that Raikur could handle these occurrences on a daily basis from the prisoners and other coworkers alike.

Raikur had seemed to have been doing okay at first, but Kaito could tell that the boy was reaching the end of his rope. Just a little bit more and Kaito would know for sure what he already knew; that this boy was right for the job.

As Raikur stared at Kaito, the Otokage could see that one of his prized students had yet again achieved a new form of his clan's dojutsu. Kaito knew not what the eyes were capable of, but from his Chakra Sensory alone he could sense great prowess coming from them. Wanting to keep his cold-natured facade going as long as he could, Kaito too would activate his 'Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan' in his right eye and his very much sought after 'Jashingan' in his left eye. Raikur had yet to ever encounter the Otokage's Jashingan, and how the boy would react to it was yet to be seen. To add to this facade Kaito would too activate his 'Display of Power' skill [power = 1,100], allowing his Chakra to take on a black color and take the shape of a large and frightening dire wolf behind him.

After Kaito and Raikur's brief stare down Hanzo would arrive as well, and Kaito would deactivate his 'Display of Power'. He would, however, keep both of his dojutsu active.

"Good. You're all here now." When Raikur and Hanzo asked what their duties were to be Quinn would be the one to speak up. Kaito was a bit taken aback by this, but she did have a point. There was nothing in the slightest that they could do regarding the massive continent-sized rift in the skies above, but there was another influx of fits opening throughout the village as they spoke. When the woman apologized, Kaito patted her back gently. "No need to apologize. You're right after all." Next Quinn brought up a good point. She herself had not encountered any of these mysterious creatures when she was alone, and neither had Kaito. The only thing he had experienced when by himself was the massive amounts of food that had appeared on that very first night. "So you're saying these creatures are being brought about by the villagers' nightmares, perhaps? It makes sense, seeing as I did experience something similar when I was alone and had an odd dream. And the potential that we could fight them in our dreams, well, we will have to investigate more to see if that is possible."

Just then Quinn would proceed to remove the bat from its sling and hit herself as hard as she could in the shin. As the woman explained that it was merely to help her stay awake and offered the others to give it a try, Kaito would blush and look to the side.

"N-no thank you..." He said with a light chuckle as he waved both of his hands in front of himself.

As the rift near their location began getting bigger and bigger, more and more of the mysterious flying creatures began flowing out into the village. The shinobi who had been preoccupied in keeping them at bay began having a much harder time at doing so, and Kaito knew it was now time to take action.

"Alright, everyone! Give 'em all you've got! Raikur! Show me that you and those new eyes of yours are worthy!"

The Otokage would start this fight just as he had ended the group's previous encounters with the otherworldly demons; by using his 'Kamui: Right Eye' to encompass the open rift within his own, thus sealing away the rift within his own personal Kamui dimension. With that out of the way it was time to focus on the beats that had managed to make it through before the team had taken action. Next he would make the hand seals to perform his 'Glass-Release: Glass Wings' technique, which he would use to take flight with his katana drawn before proceeding to behead any and all creatures that proceeded to get in his way.

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Fri Nov 10, 2023 8:06 am
It was also an experience for the younger Uchiha to hear Quinn apologize for speaking out of turn as he's never seen them doing it before. "Looks like less sleep is affecting everyone ?" Hanzo thought to himself. "Did Quinn just hit themselves with the bat ?" Hanzo murmured to himself and was amused. The Forgemaster has always been a creature of curiosity and weirdness but Hanzo knows their potential to be one of the best among the village, especially with their might of blacksmithing, they were a huge asset to the village. "No thanks, I'm fine" Hanzo responded controlling his yawn, even though he himself was feeling slightly tired. He simply wouldn't show any weakness, especially with his Otokage watching them and with his aim to be his bodyguard might be jeopardized.

While discussing the rift, Hanzo could see the different type of Mangekyo Sharingan the Otokage had in his right eye and a pitch black kind of Dojutsu on his left eye. He had never seen this before and was shocked. "What kind of power is this man still hiding" Hanzo thought to himself in awe. Every time Hanzo thinks that he is reaching a new level, his Sensei has already reached that. One of Hanzo's dream is to fight his Sense, one on one to prove himself worthy to be his bodyguard and to be a part of the elite group of his village called Sound Five. Hanzo needed more power and had to get stronger than before. With his previous fights, he was a novice, still learning the ropes on combat, but now with much more experience Hanzo has evolved to understand that combat is about strategy and not just about what techniques someone possesses. The younger Uchiha was feeling excited just thinking about combat again.

Dispersing these thoughts to handle the matters in front of them, Hanzo would listen carefully to the orders of his Sensei as huge swarm of creatures were pouring out from the huge rift. The Otokage would proceed to seal the rift with his visual prowess as he did previously with the rift in a different location. Once that was completed, he would use the Glass Wings that was used during their Team Battle to take flight towards the creatures. As usual, Hanzo was proud to see his Sensei and Otokage, one of the strongest shinobi in his village to complete all these within mere seconds. Now it was Hanzo's turn, he didn't want to use his Amaterasu as he may start bleeding, instead he opted to use his other techniques to test out with the annoying creatures. "This would be a perfect time to test out my techniques" Hanzo thought to himself.

Hanzo would calmly activate his Sharingan and walk towards the flying creatures that were going straight for him. Even though he had his Katana on his back, Hanzo would perform the Dog - Monkey hand signs to activate the Armoury Seal and summon his Chakra Bonding Katana to his right hand, that was given to him by the Forgemaster themselves. Hanzo would then proceed to jump up straight 20 meters high and slash a few creatures with monstrous strength and then landing on his feet gracefully. The younger Uchiha would proceed to desummon the Katana that was in his right hand. Hanzo would proceed to form the Tiger - Horse - Ram - Clone seal hand signs and activate the Shadow Clone Technique to form one clone of the younger Uchiha while running towards the rest of the creatures. Hanzo made the shadow clone to use Taijutsu and as such, the shadow clone would use Lightning Jab and while Hanzo would perform the hand signs Monkey → Bird → Hare → Ox → Tiger → Bird → Dragon → Rat to activate his signature Chidori Sharp Spear in his left hand. The younger Uchiha would then proceed to slash every single creature that swarmed towards them without breaking a sweat. With ending his part of the combat, Hanzo would disperse his clone, turn towards his team and wait for the rest of the team. With his Chidori Sharp Spear still being active in his left hand, Hanzo was ready for any further orders from his Sensei.

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Fri Nov 10, 2023 1:37 pm
Quinn's mind was focused and unfocused at that moment. The display that Kaito used and unleashed made it clear that there was still disparity between them, though his display was not directed at the group. Recalling back the moments Quinn had recently shared with both Raikur and Hanzo, the Forgemaster shook their head. It was clashing in dire moments that would risk others. As such Quinn's motions to handle the situation at hand was the focus they realigned their mind towards. A smirk was across their face as they approached the rift that was barreling down and becoming a larger issue quicker than the village likely wanted to admit. On the way, it became apparent that more was developing as they approached it. Once more, same as before, Kaito unleashed his own technique to help prevent the spawning of the creatures from further causing issues. This allowed for the three genin to go to town on the ones that were present and needed to be cleaned up.

Hanzo was quick to admire the Otokage once more as he was wont to do while following the direction and steps required to continue forward towards the objective ahead of them. From pulling out the sword that Quinn forged, it was a trifecta of Fosters' Forge's armaments across the genin that was pulling through in the day as shadow clones and lighting arced around Hanzos moving forward and defeating beasts left and right. It was a flurry of abilities between the clones and through Kaito's own direction that began a quick and simple clearing of the situation. Quinn on the other hand noticed what happened as they jumped towards the rooftops for a better vantage point to look out and try to spot the shinobi that were initially handling the rift they had spotted moments ago before Kaito resolved its existence.  That was when Quinn found one slumped on the side of a building near the academy. Not medically inclined, Quinn did check to see if the man was breathing and thankfully it appeared so.

Looking around the area, there was no apparent monster or creature lurking about around the shinobi. Quinn scoped the individual up before returning to the others to report back. As a relatively uninjured individual, it was wild to see the shinobi asleep but as Quinn carefully set him down, the bags under his eyes were deep and apparent. Unconscious it would appear that the man simply could not function any further. Passing out on the job typically was a wild idea with most shinobi within the village being good at keeping their own wits about them but it looked like the village was being stretched a bit thin on the need to handle the situation in its entirety. A heavy sigh escaped the blacksmith's lips as they looked about to see rifts forming in the far distance of the village. An unamused face was painted on the Forgemaster as they turned to the others. "We should go. Reach out to others. Explain to rest. Focus on timing. Let others take turns. Long drawn fight. Requires rationing of supplies... Rationing of sleep." Quinn added pinching the bridge of their nose before letting their breath escape once more from their lungs. "Good to proceed? Relay message. Help deal with threats. Just another day." Quinn added trying to appease the idea of the proceedings being abnormal and make them sound more like they, as a squad for this interim time and period, were just doing normal processes of their stations.

Waiting to see Kaito's response, Quinn knew the kage would be quick to act and likely either direct them together or relay to the squad to go in his stead towards the different parts of the village. Quinn's thoughts turned to the other genin of their generation and thought of all the leaders they had met. It was a wild contrast but they knew their younger, outside of themselves, the group had a lot of bright stars and three of them were right in front of the kage under his direct command at this time. Be whichever decision was made, Quinn was prepared to follow the orders and carry out the thoughts they had formed while also using their best judgment. "Separating covers more ground. Will allow for maybe more insight." Quinn followed up on their thought as they stared down at the unconscious man. "I'll carry to hospital. I can check in there. See if others falling." They also added before picking up the shinobi once more before turning to Kaito.

With the needs being dire, Quinn shook their head before turning and going without further discussion. Orders were needed and were required but with the group of them together, it felt that maybe a moment without Quinn would help allow the other two to resolve any undue resentment between them. Using such an opportune time with their recommendation backing their decision, Quinn would take whatever determination of their action afterward but right now there were more pressing matters that needed attention than whatever reprimands they could incur from the Otokage. Their own bags were heavy but carrying the man led to a startling discovery for the Forgemaster, they were independent. As much as they lived on their own with their family's forge operated as a business owner and was a part of the shinobi force of Otogakure, Quinn never took action themselves typically. It was an order, be it militarily or commercially, that directed and guided them. This was one of the few times that they operated without something being directed at them.

Shaking their head from the thoughts, the man in Quinn's arms began to stir in their slumber as they neared the hospital. It was a matter of time before they could be seen but out of the corner of their eye, they spotted a pink individual that they had met, walking out of the hospital, slightly wounded and tired themselves. It appeared they too were ones to have suffered from these consequences as well within her support of the village. Not wishing to bother Marabelle further at this point in time, Quinn dropped off the shinobi before making inquiries about the hospital's status as thankfully it stood as one of the more guarded buildings in the village presently. Relaying their own discovery, it was equally apparent that the hospital was aware and had shifted accordingly to allow their guards to rest in rotation to let others step up and help defend should something arise. As if talking should incur the wraith of whomever was causing all of this, a rift formed across the street allowing a hulking mass of muscle, a horse head along with crab claws for hands. Another amalgamation for Quinn to deal with as they kept their bat at the ready, dismissing support from the other shinobi as they indicated plainly, "Mine. Help after."

A fit of rage and determination coursed through Quinn as they were tired, cranky, and just wanted to get back to business. Their own forge was shut down during this time due to the demands and requirements being rather strenuous on the workers. It was not a wild job to work for or under but it was one that required rest and with everything else going on, blessed be the people who could find ample rest in these trying times. Their bat radiated in chakra as their breathing heightened before unleashing a flurry of attacks on the creature before them. A cloak of concentration even covered them as the fire that ran the Forgemaster flared into their bat. Unleashing their forms of breathing styles with their blunt object of destruction. They unleashed their First Form: Unknowing Fire upon the Minotaur before following it up with their Second Form: Rising Scorching Sun. It lashed out clawing at the Forgemaster looking to crush their body in the wake of its attack on the hospital. "Fuck. Off." Quinn shouted at the beast before unleashing their Third Form: Blazing Universe.

A flurry of fire began to roast the creature as its claws darkened to a rich color of red and the horse's coloration became black, a nightmarish figure the muscles snapped as its attacks continued onward pushing the Forgemaster back after their onslaught of fire. Disgruntled and now bat back by the creature, Quinn focused their energy a bit more before adjusting their breathing as earthen material began to form around their bat, executing their First Form: Serpentite Bipolar technique as their bat smashed against the claws of the beast bringing down heavy force against the blacksmith as rock and soil continued to consolidate around the bat as it swung deflecting and blocking the attacks being forced upon it keep Quinn standing at the end of the attack before slamming the bat down in front of the creature. A sudden force of earth and rock unleashed forward towards the Minotaur as it was launched upward into the air before falling back down. Once on the floor, Quinn swung with all their strength to dislocate the head from the spine of the creature as the force of the bat along with the accrued damage that Quinn had unleashed on it, allowed for a solid clean hit to slowly have the creature disappear.

Heaving a heavy sigh of relief from that, Quinn used their bat to help stand them up before proceeding to get checked out by hospital staff members. Other shinobi nodded in approval however they remained vigilant as the creature itself seemed to be a prelude to more coming forth. The hospital was a good location to be at this moment thankfully as they wrapped up, it became a bit clearer to Quinn that there was going to be a rather high bar to handle with taking the fight to whomever was causing it. Exhausting was beginning to set it and it was clear that the village needed to take the fight elsewhere than the village. "So tired..." They stated aloud before getting up after their small check-up before relaying the message that the hospital staff was aware of. Apologizing again, the Forgemaster gathered themselves before heading back to where they had left the others. It was a good decision more than likely to return to where they departed before proceeding any further. As they left without further instructions, rejoining the team back where they made the decision was likely going to be a good place to wait if they were not there. Though Quinn indicated where they were going, it was likely something that would have taken more than enough time for the trio to air the tension out.

Once heading back, Quinn relayed the message about taking ample rest to whomever they crossed paths with. Making sure that they too took the message forward to others they were working with and dealing with. As a messenger, Quinn dashed quickly to make up for lost time fighting a creature to let out some steam from their engine. It was a good use of their time and showcased their capacity once more as shinobi though at this point it was not something to worry about. There was more than enough merit in Quinn's capacity for the village and they knew there was likely more that was going to be needed of them. Taking the fight to their dreams would be great for their own sake since they could not worry about the structures and others with how aggressive their actions could be. That was when a candle flickered on for the red-head genin. Their thoughts came together to an idea and would present it once the team was gathered up once more. From there it was a matter of time before the group rejoined together as four.

Upon arrival, the Forgemaster would assess the situation before them before speaking once everyone was gathered, "What if we fought in our dreams?" They would propose a question to consider before continuing. "If dreams can create. Then if we dream. We could dream to fight. Conjure in our dreams. Avoids the village. Avoids the civilians. Would stop gap them from there to here." they elaborated before awaiting to hear more from the group. It was a wild idea to propose or consider but potentially it was the route that seemed to be the most direct line of stuff becoming part of their reality. If they just went for the source or took it to their land perhaps the shinobi of Otogakure could reach the Land of Dreams to stave off these nightmares. With more thoughts bouncing around, Quinn shook their head returning their bat to their back to rest. It was a trying time to adjust thoughts with not a lot of reigns to keep the mind focused. Something that Quinn themselves hated to admit about being scattered brain.

With the concept in mind, Quinn's sight turned to the rift that was ever-growing in the distance. That brought forth another idea, "Would distance be an issue..." Quinn began to scratch their head, "If we dreamt it away?" They finished their thought fully before knocking on the side of their skull trying to sort and figure things out beyond what had already been given. With there being more to figure out and discuss it was a waiting game for the group to decide how best to proceed. They needed to come up with an idea on how to best address the issues in the village while also taking the fight to the Land of Dreams and Nightmares in some capacity for how Quinn figured it out. There was no way for them to fight back if they were on the defensive side of the veil of reality. If they could fight there, they could easily win this.

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Sat Nov 11, 2023 11:22 pm

Hanzo and Raikur would do a magnificent job of clearing up the creatures that Kaito had not yet gotten to destroying himself. Once all of the creatures in the area were ridden of, Kaito would fly back towards the ground and deactivate his 'Glass-Release: Glass Wings' technique. After continued use of the technique over the past two weeks the Uchiha was finally getting used to flight, and along with it, the massive drainage of Chakra that stemmed from its use.

"Great job, you two." He would say as he sheathed his own katana back into its proper place on his hip. "Looks like you are getting really good at using that Lightning-Release technique of yours, Hanzo. Keep up the good work." Kaito would complement Raikur's own efforts in battle, but Kaito had been positioned in the battlefield in such a way that he could not see the young Shokku's efforts. Despite this, Kaito was, without any trace of doubt, that Raikur too had done brilliantly. As this processed through his mind, Kaito looked around himself. "Wait. Where's Quinn?"

The redhead would make herself known from behind the Otokage, to which Kaito would deactivate the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan in right eye and the Jashingan in his left. The woman was carrying the body of an Otogakure shinobi, as evidenced by the man's flak jacket. There were serious bags underneath the poor lad's eyes, and it was easy to ascertain that he had been fighting sleep for the longest of times. Trying his best not to show it, Kaito was enraged by the site. Not with the man, but at the fact that his village was under attack yet again. His people were suffering, and as the Otokage was was supposed to be a symbol of hope for those around him. Despite this, Kaito had only been able to deal with the situation in short bursts. The man's own abilities were surely in question, at least by himself but quite possibly by the other villagers as well.

When Quinn would ask the best course of action for the team to take, Kaito sighed as he too could see yet more rifts beginning to form. He already had a mind, of course, but Quinn would begin to act on her own as she began walking towards the direction of the village hospital.

"I am very with your tenacity, Quinn. In fact I'm quite enamored by it, and while I agree that we should most definitely split up, none of us should go alone." Thee man formed the hand seal for the 'Shadow Clone Jutsu' and two exact clones of himself appeared directly behind him. Kaito wished more than anything that he could create ever more of the clones, but two would have to do. "Quinn and Hanzo. You two each take a single clone with you. Raikur, you're with me, Chief Warden." Kaito patted his student on the back as he yet again activated his 'Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan', this time in both of his eyes. "Now lets give 'em all hell. Go!"

Everyone would hurriedly split up, with Kaito and Raikur taking to their own devices...

[CLONE 1'S PERSPECTIVE]

Quinn and the clone of Kaito quickly made their way towards the village hospital. The clone still felt Kaito's prior feelings of rage and depression from the fact that his creator felt as though he was not doing enough to protect the village. All the clone could do was look around itself, seeing the destruction that the village had incured from the numerous attacks that had begun plaguing it yet again. Not even the fact that the man whom Quinn was carrying stirred back to life could make the poor man feel even the slightest better about the entire situation.

None of this would change for the clone was the duo made it to the hospital, where the clone could see Marabelle exiting from. Knowing the young woman would not be able to tell the difference between it and the real Kaito, the clone played the part of its creator and gave as much of a pleasant wave and smile that it could muster before joining up with Quinn again. Yet another rift would appear almost immediately, and the clone's heart began beating quickly as it realized that it was time again to jump into action. It would not have the chance, however, as Quinn would yet again take the lead in this attack. Nodding, Kaito would sit by and watch the exchange between the Forgemaster and this newly identified creature.

"Show it who's boss, Quinn." The clone encouraged.

An intense and brutal fire would erupt around the forgemaster's bat before the woman would direct her first attack. The creature would parry this, looking to crush the very hospital that they were safeguarding. Kaito began forming hand seals to activate his own 'Apsam Kamui' attack to halt the creature in its place, but Quinn's enraged words would be enough to stop the man in his tracks before the dojutsu technique's activated. She began another counter offensive, striking the beast fast and furious, but the beast too pushed back just as hard.

"Quinn..." The clone said as it watched the battle rage on. Tears began to flow down its cheeks, reflecting the true worry that even the real Kaito bared within himself. The real Kaito was worried; worried about the village; worried about how the people thought about him. But this was a different worry, one that he never thought he would have to experience. "Don't die, Quinn... Please win..."

The earth would erupt with shakes and quakes as Quinn would unleash soil and stone instead of the fire she used prior. Before long the creature would let out a bellowing roar as the woman managed to throw it into the skies above. It would land ungracefully in the very spot that it had been fighting from, to which Quinn took the opportunity to use her immense strength to decapitate the beast. Cheers from those in the hospital echoed throughout the immediate vicinity of their location, and the clone's tears of worry would turn to those of thankfulness and happiness. As she began to get back to her feet, struggling to do so, Kaito would go to her aide. He dashed with amazing precision and speed directly to her side, wrapping his arm around her and resting her other arm on his shoulders.

"Don't worry. I got you," He said, still crying lightly. "I am so glad you're okay..."

The clone would help Quinn in walking towards the hospital. All the while those who witnessed the exchange between her and the monster applauded her grandly. He would release her to the care of the nurses as they began to bandage her and check her vitals, and as he waited he would discuss the ongoing crisis with the head nurses and doctors. Once their business was completed, the clone would walk with Quinn back to the group's original meeting place. By this point the original Kaito and Raikur were already waiting for them, and seeing as that was the case, Kaito's first clone would form the 'Shadow Clone Jutsu' hand seal itself, thus releasing its semi-physical form in the process.

[CLONE 2'S PERSPECTIVE]

Kaito's second clone and Hanzo would head to the rather large looking rift that was forming in the southeastern section of the village as quickly as they could. Despite the fact that it was only a clone, it would retain all of the knowledge that Kaito had on his and the boy's previous interactions, and seeing as the real Kaito had not truly had the opportunity to spend time with or train with Hanzo, the clone would use this time to inject some much needed bonding into their lives.

"I'm really impressed with your growth as of late Hanzo," The clone said. "And I am pleased to call you my son." It would look over to Hanzo to gauge his reaction to the clone's words before continuing. "Those black flames you used in the last attack. Those were the ones you had mentioned when we first met, are they not?"

The duo arrived as Hanzo would reply, if he so chose to do so. The rift was perhaps the biggest either the clone and the real Kaito had seen, second only to the huge one that was forming over the western continent. Multiple shinobi were in the process of fleeing from the scene as they arrived, and Kaito would catch one of them by the arm as he ran by.

"What's going on here?" The clone demanded.

"Lord Otokage, Sir!" The man replied, tears and fear filling his eyes. "There's no way in hell we can beat that thing! Its too powerful!" Just then the loud shaking of the earth rumbled. Looking towards the source of the sound, the man would escape the clone's grip and continue fleeing. It was only then that a massive centipede would appear. The clone's eyes widened at the sight of the monstrosity. The creature was abnormally long with a black underbelly, a crimson red top, and golden yellow eyes. Pinchers on its face opened and closed in quick succession.

Despite this, the clone smirked as it activated its 'Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan' in both of its eyes.

"Hanzo!" The clone yelled. Its voice was only slightly louder than the echoing thuds of the creature's footsteps. "Show me the power behind those black flames! Show me that you are capable of being called my bodyguard! If you need help I will make sure to rush in, but until then I'm gonna get the citizens to safety!"

The clone would quickly make his way over to a group of children that were cowering underneath the remains of the destroyed home. Taking them under its arms, the clone would rush them towards the watchtower one hundred meters away that all of the other citizens and fleeing shinobi were making their way towards...

[REAL KAITO'S PERSPECTIVE]

Kaito and Raikur would arrive to one of the multitude of rifts located in the north of Otogakure. The trek thus far had been a quiet and tense one, all thanks to the tension that had arose previously between them. The boy really had shown the Otokage that he was more than ready to take the mantle of being the prison's Chief Warden, and the Otokage really was feeling bad for having put Raikur through the rough social test that he had.

With a sigh, Kaito would cut through the thick fog of tension.

"Raikur, I apologize for the way that I've been treating you as of late." He started as they ran along the wooden rooftops. "I wanted to ensure that you could handle the rough treatments that would be presented to you by those in the prison, and until you reached your breaking point earlier today I could tell that you were doing your best. On top of that you did a fantastic job of seeing to it that the prison is being erected correctly and efficiently. As much as it stings me to say from the standpoint of being your sensei, seeing as you will not be able to join us in as many missions or training sessions, I am pleased to advise you that you are hereby granted to position of Chikyū Prison's Chief Warden."

As the duo ran towards the location of the rift, Kaito would soon come to realize that the rift had been formed directly outside of where the under construction prison was located. Despite the fact that it was still under construction, there were some prisioners who were being housed in the completed sections that had cells. In all of the confusion some of the prisoners had managed to escape from their cells and were running around rampantly throughout the area.

Seeing an opportunity, Kaito would nudge Raikur.

"Alright, you go ahead and take care of the prisoners while I take care of the rift and those damn monsters. Tell those sons of bitches to remember your name and face cause they will be seeing a lot of it here soon."

With that being said Kaito would jump into action, first sealing away the rift in much the same fashion that he had previously through the use of his 'Kamui: Right Eye' technique, and he would quickly make a massacre of the beasts with his kenjutsu and ninjutsu alike. Just as he himself was finishing up would Raikur too be finishing up with his duties.

"Alright! Good job, Raikur!" Kaito would raise his fist, hoping that his student would reciprocate the motion in the form of a fist bump. "I really am proud of you."

As the situation was now under control, Kaito and Raikur would take their leave back to the original meeting place. They would arrive before Hanzo and his respective clone, but it turned out that Quinn and the clone assigned to her had already returned. As the clone there dispersed, the memories of what had happened to it flooded back into the real Kaito's mind; the worry that it had felt during the forgemaster's battle with the minotaur, the relief that it had felt upon her being safe, all of it. The real Kaito would blush uncharacteristically, unable now to face the woman. "You did a good job, Quinn." He said, placing his hands into his pockets and kicking the dirt on the ground lightly. "I'm glad you're safe."

Almost immediately Hanzo and the last of the clones would arrive. The last clone would disperse and again transfer its memories over to the real Kaito. The man was about to congratulate Hanzo and a job well done when Quinn posed the question as to whether they could fight these battles in their dreams again. The question was something that Kaito had previously brushed off, stating that he would need to put more research and development into it all, but through the experiences that the group all had since then, he knew that waiting for proper testing was not the way to go. He would have to be proactive in his efforts, and now was the time to act.

"Quinn is right." Kaito said. "We have to take the fight to them I for one have witnessed far too many defensive wars in my short life thus far, and I'll be damned if I continue fighting in another one." Feeling invigorated, Kaito would begin to move on back towards the hospital. He would offer a helping hand to Quinn if she had still needed any assistance in walking considering her fight with the minotaur, and whether she accepted or not would be up to her. "We've gotta go to the hospital to get some sleep medication, hopefully something powerful enough to induce dreams. Unless there are any objections, I will personally be the one to head into the Land of Dreams and Nightmares first. I couldn't live with myself if anything happened to any of you."

Spoooooky Season: Part Two Empty Re: Spoooooky Season: Part Two

Sun Nov 12, 2023 1:10 am
Raikur had never seen the unusual ocular ability that Kaito activated in his left eye. The pitch black appearance was almost as dark and lifeless as the outside of his Muragan, but there was something evil and sinister about it, something that he had never experienced before. The Sharingan variant in his right eyes WAS something that Raikur was familiar with, but that did not make it any less imposing. Suddenly, he could see the the ominous difference in power between himself and Kaito due to the Chakra Vision effects of his Muragan. Not only that, he could FEEL the difference as Kaito's incredible display of power hit him like a wave. The disparity between them was even more than the young Shokku could have initially imagined. He felt rooted to the spot, unable to move, but he would not look away, nor would he deactivate his own eyes. He knew it was foolish and futile, but he owed himself at least that much respect. His emotions were valid at the very least. And then just like that, it was over. Kaito would stop flexing his power at the arrival of Hanzo, and Raikur regained his ability to move slightly. Finally relaxing himself, the young Shokku still did not deactivate his Ascended Muragan, but he did relax his posture by a slight touch.

Hanzo's appearance and demeanour was different to what Raikur expected when he showed up. The young Shokku did not look in his team mate's direction at his arrival, due to his own emotions being quite askew, but he could feel it in the air. Just like Quinn had told him in a previous mission, something was very different with Hanzo, and perhaps it was not something for the better either for the young Uchiha. There was a cold and icy wall that appeared to have erected between the two young students of Kaito, but it was something that would have to be addressed at a later date. The two of them were far too preoccupied with other things at the moment, not least of all being the ongoing crisis in the village...

Hanzo did ask a good question though regarding what their plan was, Quinn's response was puzzling at first though. However as the blacksmith continued to explain, Raikur began to understand the rationale behind it, their only concern was for the village, something that Raikur shared an opinion on. Upon Quinn mentioning how tired they all were, it hit Raikur like a wave once more, the only thing keeping him standing upright was his own adrenaline firing on all cylinders throughout his veins. There were three other Shinobi in the room with him and all of them were standing well and fine on their own two feet, he refused to be the only one unable to support himself in this environment. He was more tired than he could explain, but he would not allow that to stop him now, they were so close to getting rid of this problem, or so he thought, that it would not be right to rest just yet.

Raikur stifled a chuckle as the Blacksmith remembered their manners after a short while, bowing before Kaito politely before apologising to himself and Hanzo as well. Raikur simply shook his head at the apology, not needing his friend to ask for forgiveness for something so minor. In that moment he remembered something before rummaging in his pockets. "Before I forget, it appears that I owe you something from our last meeting. I am sorry for not getting it to you sooner, the heat of battle was quite distracting. Thank you again for the gauntlet Quinn." He would gently toss a small bag containing 2,500 Ryo to Quinn, in exchange for the gauntlet that they had provided him in their last mission together. Quinn had truly proven themself to be a phenomenal team mate, Shinobi, and most importantly, friend to Raikur. He had grown to truly respect and admire the Forgemaster, something that he had no problem showing.

Raikur rolled his eyes at being called dense, he would have probably come back at Quinn with an equally witty retort, but he was too busy holding back a yawn to do so. Their idea about fighting dreams with dreams was definitely something that piqued his interests though, it was quite an odd concept and fairly illogical, but there was nothing logical about this entire situation. Suddenly, the blacksmith decided to give themself a little wack to stay awake before offering to do the same to them if they wanted. Simply shaking his head once more, Raikur would instead use his Purple Lightning to give himself a quick shock, stemming from his left quadricep muscle, which would send non damaging vaults up through the rest of his body, helping to keep himself alert as well.

With the nearby rift growing exponentially, it seemed that it was time for action. In a surprising turn of events, Kaito specifically pointed him out with his expectations of Raikur's new eyes, something that confused the Genin but did not shake him, mostly due to the ongoing adrenaline pumping through his body. If the Otokage wanted to see what these eyes were capable, Raikur would be happy to oblige. He refused to be seen as the weakest of the group after all the hard work that he had put into improving himself. With his Ascended Muragan still active, Raikur would join the others in the conflict, once again activating his Chidori. With the assistance of his even more adept eyes, Raikur would dash to and from different enemies, cutting them down one, or even two, at a time. In the process he would coordinate his strikes with the other three, working off their movements to enhance his own to maximise their impact while minimizing the energy wasted in the conflict.

When his Chidori finally expired, Raikur decided to utilise his two Gaia Gauntlets instead of activating another Jutsu. The razer sharp claws would be used to tear through everything he could get his hands on. Although it was saving him valuable Chakra, Raikur found himself quickly covered in the blood of the enemy monsters, he must have looked like he himself had come straight out of a nightmare. By the end of the battle, the young Shokku was covered head to toe in the crimson liquid, he would slowly turn to walk back to the rest of the squad, he wondered what must have been going through their minds at the sight of him, he would not say a word as he returned, instead opting to save his breath and focus on recovering his stamina.

Yet another surprise, Kaito actually taking note of Raikur's abilities this time? Although it was nothing more than a 'Great job' that he had spoken, something was off, was Raikur being tested somehow? It just did not seem right to him, as Kaito had never been outwardly cruel to the boy, even going out of his way to compliment and praise the young Shokku in the past. He wondered what it could all be about... After a short while, Quinn would finally return to them, the group was all together once more to continue with their mission. It was at this point that Kaito would activate his Shadow Clone Jutsu and instruct the other two Genin to go with one of the clones each. Which meant that he would be partnering with the Otokage himself, the plot indeed seem to be thickening. Suddenly, Kaito uttered two words that would shake Raikur due to how unexpected they were. "Chief Warden". So was that what this was all about? It appeared to indeed be a test of some kind after all, something to perhaps push the young Shokku beyond his emotional limits in preparation for such a mentally demanding job? Regardless, Raikur did not even have time to react before they all had to quickly go their separate ways.

As the two of them moved together, it was Kaito who would speak first, choosing to apologise for his actions and explaining why he was testing the young Shokku out recently. He would then officially grant Raikur the role of Chief Warden in the Otogakure Chikyū Prison. Raikur would not respond straight away, taking a short moment to collect himself and properly process the situation. Finally, he would speak, "I accept. Thank you Kaito-Sensei. I must admit, you got me really good there, but I do understand your reasoning now. I also accept your apology." It appeared that the stars had truly aligned today, as their destination turned out to be none other than the currently under construction prison. What a funny twist of fate that was...

With Kaito's instructions for Raikur set, the young Shokku would simply smile and nod in response as he sprinted into the prison, his Ascended Muragan still active after all of this time. As he entered the incomplete structure, Raikur took a moment to observe the situation, there were dozens of prisoners running around causing all forms of mayhem. There was a group of guards who had locked themselves within the lunch room as a group of ten prisoners were banging on the door, trying to kick it down to get inside towards them. "Inmates! Back to your cells, NOW!" Raikur would bellow out as he approached the group, the group laughed as they slowly turned around to face him, no doubt expecting to see another foolish guard. What they were not expecting to see, however, was Raikur Shokku covered in blood, his menacing Ascended Muragan burning darkly as he stared them down, a Chidori now active on his right hand as he stood motionless. Their laughter was quickly stifled as they now looked on in terror, no doubt they were not used to this type of "Guard" in their midst, it appeared that the personal in the prison needed some training still.

One of the inmates decided that he would still try his luck with the Shokku, screaming out profanities as he charged at Raikur. The Shokku would simply cast Body Flicker, appearing to teleport next to the man who gasped out in shock as Raikur's Chidori covered hand clasped around his throat and lifted him into the air. Instead of hurting the man, the Chidori would simply paralyse him temporarily, resulting in him passing out due to the very literal shock of it all. With the man's limp body now hanging in the air, his fellow inmates had decided that it was perhaps not in their best interests to continue with the attempted jail break. They would quickly surrender as the prison guards finally came out of the lunch room and helped restore order. Raikur would hand the unconscious inmate to one of the guards before barking orders at everyone in the vicinity. "I want these inmates back in their cells NOW. I am Raikur Shokku, your new Chief Warden. I will not say this one time only, anyone caught fooling around in my prison will report to me DIRECTLY. Now get to work!" His words appeared to scare inmates and guards alike, all of them quickly following his instructions without another word. A pretty good way to kick off his new role...

With everything in order within the prison once more, Raikur would return to Kaito who had also just finished with his own job. Smiling and nodding at the praise he received, Raikur would return the Otokage's fist bump kindly. "Thank you Kaito-Sensei. I will not let you or this village down in my duties. Also I think I did quite a good job at making a first impression." Raikur chuckled after the last line before the two of them would make their way back to the meeting place. It appeared that their next step would be to infiltrate this 'Land of Dreams' directly. A foolish thing to normally utter out loud, but at this point it appeared to be the only way. Kaito would volunteer to be the one to do it, something that seemed to be the only smart option. Not arguing with him, Raikur would then volunteer to do something else. "If you are going to be infiltrating it yourself, then I will stay back to make sure nothing happens to your body in the process."

When the other two decided on what they would do themselves, Raikur would remain behind and stay on guard. Over the course of what happened next with Kaito and the others, nothing of note occurred as Raikur stood guard. After a while, the group would reconvene, successful in their collective mission, finally able to breath a bit of relief. Deactivating his Muragan after all this time, Raikur would sigh and speak. "I think we should all get ourselves some rest, we have definitely earned it."
