The small farming community had been devastated by a recent fire that had destroyed the farmhouse on the outskirts of town. It had been a beautiful old home with a sprawling garden and a stunning view of the rivers beyond. But now it lay in ruins, the charred remains of the roof and walls strewn across the yard. The family who had lived there had been devastated by the loss of their home and possessions. But there was one item in particular that they were desperate to retrieve: a cauldron passed down through their family for generations. Their family had used it for everything from brewing potions to cooking hearty stews, and it held a special place in their hearts. It's possible that everyone in the community knew this fact, but no one had informed Deeb that the cauldron had sufficient space to accommodate his entire family.
Despite the crumbling ruins of the farmhouse and the potential danger of injury, the family had requested assistance in retrieving a cauldron that was left behind. The task required little careful planning, as they assured him that artifact preservation would be simple. Nonetheless, Deeb was determined to recover the cauldron, which held significant sentimental value and sought to make it happen. They knew it was a long shot but were willing to take the risk of allowing him to do it himself. At first, it seemed like an impossible task. The farmhouse was a mess of debris and rubble, with no clear path through the wreckage. After receiving the cautionary message regarding the dogs and their bones, Deeb couldn't help but feel a sense of suspicion creeping up on him. However, he decided to remain tight-lipped about his thoughts and refrained from expressing his doubts to anyone. Despite being concerned about their pets, Deeb persistently sorted through the rubble and finally found the buried cauldron beneath a pile of bricks and ash. This massive object was colossal, tipping the scales at half a ton by his approximation. In its sorry state, covered in soot and grime from the fire, Deeb knew the family would be overjoyed to have it back and immediately attempted cleaning it up. Carrying it to the river required the third inner gate, the gate of life. He then scrubbed away the layers of dirt and dust, revealing the gleaming metal beneath. And sure enough, it looked as good as new once the vagabond cleaned it.
The family was grateful to Deeb, who had helped retrieve the cauldron and promised to cook him a home-cooked meal. They didn't say how it initially looked before the fire, but by their expressions and attitude, Deeb knew he had done an excellent job. What mattered was that they had their precious family heirloom back in their hands and that it was again ready to be used for whatever the future held. Deeb began to feel a sense of attachment to the land as he spent more time there. The locals were warm and welcoming, making him feel at home in this new place. But being nomadic meant that when the goings got good, the good got going.
