Exploring the Batcaves

Mission Details:

As the morning sun shone upon the house of the lonely Uchiha, Hanzo opened his eyes to the bright rays from his window. The previous events of the weird creatures that the village faced were over and those incidents didn’t occur again. Being tired of battles and using his visual prowess a couple of times, the young Uchiha just wanted to just chill around instead of going for any combat missions. Hanzo didn’t want to risk bleeding again unless it's absolutely necessary. The young Uchiha got up and took a hot shower to relax his muscles from his previous days of combat and doing some minor missions. He combed his hair and adorned his katana at the back. He left his house and walked towards the Otokage Mansion in hopes of a mission that is not combat oriented. As he reached the Mission Board, he could see that as usual there were many missions but all of them required some form of battle. The young Uchiha simply turned around and walked towards the gate, at that moment he saw a banner that caught his attention. It was a tour of a bat cave that was cultivated by the Mochizuki Clan. The tour was about to start in 10 minutes. “Seems interesting” Hanzo thought to himself as he opened the door to the event area and saw many shinobis attending it. Hanzo was welcomed to the group and he took a seat with an interest to learn.

The tour leader called Muzan, introduced himself and began the event and welcomed everyone. He talked about the history of their clan and the usage of the bats during battles and reconnaissance. It was a unique way to employ bats as they are almost invisible since they don’t portray a threat to any shinobis and can bypass many locations easily. Some talented shinobis were able to locate special bats from various locations similar to his own wolf summons and made their own summoning contract with them. This allowed them to be much more versatile with their techniques. The tour leader, Muzan, then begins to instruct everyone to head outside and walk towards the Clan District. As he was leading the group, he informed them that they’ll be entering a secure location of the bats that were being cultivated by their clan. As they stood outside the cave, Muzan informed the tour group not to use any bright lights as the bats can be easily startled and not to meddle with them as well. The group was only allowed to see them with the dim lights provided by the tour guide. Muzan then proceeded to provide each shinobi with a torch light that was set to dim as per instructed. With the tour group being ready now, they began to walk into the huge cave that was in dead silence.

Muzan then spoke in a low and calm voice, just enough for the 20 shinobis to hear. “As you all can see, the bats are all hung upside down, this is their natural position, similar to a human's position of standing or sleeping. At the moment, they are just sleeping as you can see that there is absolutely no movement from any of them. A single loud sound or a strong light could disrupt them and will cause them to rush out of the cave in a panic mode. This is the reason why, not many are allowed in here and only with a tour guide, as during the rush of them flying out, many might get slightly injured by the startled bats”. Hanzo understood that someone from the previous tour might have scared the bats and thus the reason to isolate the cave's location in order not to disrupt them. As it was extremely dark even with the dim lights, Hanzo had an idea to use his Sharingan as it would give him a better vision of the bats. The young Uchiha instantly activated his Sharingan, even in the pure darkness, his scarlet eyes were shining brightly. In that moment, Muzan was shocked as in the darkness, Hanzo seemed like a monster with bloody eyes even though the young Uchiha was standing in the back as the last person but knowing that Hanzo didn’t pose any threat, Muzan kept going on with his tour. The young Uchiha was able to see the cave clearly and could see that there were thousands of bats hanging around while without the Sharingan, he could only see hundreds.

As the tour was coming to an end, Hanzo was contemplating if he should also get a bat familiar from the tour guide. Having a familiar would surely give the young Uchiha a slight advantage, either in battle or even as a companion to talk to when he’s not in the house of his Sensei. The lonely feeling never got away after his mother passed away in his arms. Other than the Otokage, no one really acknowledged him. The young Uchiha had recently bought a female fox familiar from the Beast Tamers Association. As they were not really bonded yet, he wanted to purchase some treats for her on the way. He also wanted to train with his familiar, Kirara, so that they can be a partner in battle instead of her just being a pet. He had made up a few plans in his head to execute once he was home. As the tour came to an end, the young Uchiha deactivated his Sharingan and they were brought back to the Otokage Mansion once again. From there, all of them departed and thanked the tour guide and gave back their torchlights. Hanzo walked to the nearest pet shop and bought a few treats for Kirara and headed home with a smile.
