Training, or making friends
Thu Mar 21, 2024 5:10 pm
Travin had been walking around Tsukigakure for a day now. Having found a nice little Inn that he was staying at for the time being. He had found a few good places to eat and relax, and had enjoyed his time in the tranquil gardens. However, the one place that he had not checked out yet was the Shinoda Springs. A training ground of sorts that he had been told about. A nice spot of land with two massive statues and several small statues along the river with a waterfall rolling down along the statues. He was told that at night the moon would sit between the two big statues and it appeared as if the waterfall was falling out of the moon and lighting up the area. In reality the moon just sits in the right place with enough moonlight to reflect off the surface of the water and the statues to create a fascinating effect.
Travin was wandering around the area taking in the site. He had come at night so that he would be able to see the effect for himself, and from what he could tell the people were not wrong. Using the surface walking tech Travin was standing upon the water a few dozen feet from the base of the waterfall among the statues and simply enjoying the view. It was times like this that he finally understood what his parents kept going on about. He had been all over the world at this point in this life, and he had never seen a sight like this before. Not even in the valley of the end at Konoha, or the great sand wall in Suna. This was something else as he stood staring at the site.
He would have his normal shinobi gear on his crimson scarf covering most of his face and standard black gear on. With his ninjato strapped to his side and Tanto fixed in the sleeve of his left arm so that it could drop out in a moment's notice if needed.

There wasn't much that he wanted to do in this village that he hadn't done before. There was a lot of different merchants that he had been stealing from, lifting a bottle here, bottle there. But truly everything here seemed to be pretty tame. There were a few rather spicy individuals that he had been hearing rumors about entering, some missing nin by the name of Akaime. Supposedly he was a member of another clan famed for their eyes, the Chinoikes. He wasn't sure just how people would know this, maybe there was some sort of leak at the gates or something.
But rather than lifting the alcohol today and being a general nuisance to the world, he decided that he was going to examine the training grounds of the village instead. He had been trekking through the village, interested in the rather picturesque "Shinoda Springs" and what there was to be offered within it. He hadn't really done much with his training since he had entered into the village, as he had been spending most of his time wasting it away, pissing pure alcohol by this point. But with that much time wasted, he figured it was time to bring himself to a new level of understanding for his rather peculiar art of ninjutsu.
There was something magical about fire. Burning things to where there was nothing but a crisp scent of the scorched skin that was left that truly brought him to a point of interest in life. He hadn't taken a life since he had entered the village either, which was kind of a bummer. This was enough to bring him to the point of training. Maybe he was lucky and found himself someone in the training grounds that wasn't afraid of getting singed, even if it was just a little bit.
As he made his way to the training grounds, he saw that there was a solitary figure standing amongst the training grounds. He figured this was a perfect place to start, maybe he could even make a friend, or kill the man. Either way it was a huge win for him. He was wearing his slate gray jacket, matching his gorgeous silvered eyes. His raven black hair was shining in the beautiful sunlight that was harboring above them. His black skinny jeans were ripped slightly at the knees, but overall were still in good condition.
When he arrived to the man's position, he would greet him. "Hey there. Name's Kutari, but you can call me Kut. You look like you may just be the type of man that I'm looking for to go a few rounds. What do you say, big man? You in?" He would ask with a casual tone, matching that of his overall demeanor. Should the man agree, then he would try and surprise him, what the surprise was would be there to be discovered upon his acceptance to the training session. He hadn't been training at all for a while, largely just blowing things up when he felt the need, so this would be a much needed change of pace.

On this beautifull day on the island of the moon, Kakushin decided to go on a walk, to see the famous Shinoda Springs, a training ground for the shinobi and kunoichi of the hidden moon, to see the talents that lead to the formation of this very hidden village, as well as to practice his ninjutsu himself. Dressed in his regular garb of dark grey-black cloth, covered with bandages and paper seals, Kakushin arrived at the little pond addorned with the two large statues, only to see that there was already 2 individuals training there. Well, not training yet, but talking, getting to know one another. One of them was clearly more calm, walking atop the water gently, not leaving a single ripple into the surface, with his red scarf waving into the air, in awe and admiration of the decor and landscape. The other one embodied intensity, and seemed to want to fight, from what the Senju could hear from afar.
Presenting himself to the duo and getting into sight, the fabricated man would simply walk slowly, his hands inside his loose kimono robes, showing his sculpted and muscular chest, while having a way of walking relaxed, confident and at ease all at once, mastering his own self like nothing else.
''Beautifull place isnt it? Are you both here to train?'' Would ask the tall man, half a smile present into his face, preparing to maybe spar with any of them.
As he waited for an answer, Kakushin simply gazed deep into the eyes of both inidividuals, analyzing their very souls and personna, as well as ways of presenting themselves. Trully two drastically different people.

Travin stood going over his thoughts and plans for the near future, or more or less trying to come up with a plan for the near future, so far he was still a plank slate for what he was planning on doing with himself. When a man with short black hair walked up to him. Travin had noticed that he was headed towards him from the corner of his eye, but made no sign that he had noticed him. When he introduced himself as Kutari and offered to go a few rounds. Travin turned to get a good look at the guy since if he was wanting to attack or kill him he wouldn’t have given him the option of saying no. However, before he would be able to reply, not sure if he would agree or not yet. Another person showed up walking up to them with his hands inside of his kimono. This put Travin off, he had seen this tactic come off gentle and harmless while hiding the very blade that would end you. Hell he had pulled the tactic off himself a few times now. The man put Travin on his defensive, as he turned to be evenly faced between the two. After all he had no idea who either of them was or what they really wanted. He hadn’t spent all too much time within the major villages, and wasn’t all to shore on how they handle things within them.
The new guy commented on the place which Travin did agree with, but then asked if they were here to train as well. A strange question for what he was told was the training grounds. He had come here to think and come up with a few strategies to use in combat, maybe a new jutsu or two, but he didn’t think he would end up in this situation this late at night anyway. Travin looked at the two before speaking “I am Travin” he would say with his standard cold tone that he had developed over the years of dealing with the people in the underworld. “I came here to work on a few things, but didn’t count on meeting anyone here this late. However, if you two would like to spar. I have no problems with it, you can decide if we all fight or go round robin with you two fighting first.” He was fine with either option since it would give him time to see how they fight, and what kind of fighting style they both had. After all he knew nothing of the two or what they could do, and his instincts were willing to let them fight first, and then come and clean up whoever was left.

The deal was struck, and a spar was agreed to; the raven-haired Uchiha and the mysterious Travin were set to battle one another. He activated his Sharingan, and he stared at him for a moment, carefully debating his next moves. The first thought that came to his mind was to fill his lungs with the fire that burned within and unleash it into his position. But these thoughts were quickly interrupted when someone else walked up and joined their conversation. The man wouldn't be impressive by nature, not inherently anyway. But there was a certain confidence about him that caught Kutari's enhanced eyes.
The man would ask if they were there to train, a simple question that seemed to be quickly answered by looking at their situation. But he would digress as he would simply nod to the man that intervened into their conversation, "I believe that is exactly what we were just about to begin. How about we work as a free for all. Everyone can fight everyone, right Travin?" He looked over to the original opponent and gave a slight wink before turning to his newfound opponent. "So, newcomer. I will be sure to learn your name after we are done. But for now, I shall know you as my opponent."
With this, he would ensure that they were all 10 meters away from each other, or at least the newcomer would be 10 meters away. If he didn't move, then Kut would move to create the distance, wanting to be fair in the battle of course. With a swift inhale, he thought about his course of actions, but then he realized that it would be far grander of a plan to simply wait. Allow his opponents to get into the realm of attack, while he simply stood back and watched to see what the opponents could do. This would be his thought process, until he decided instead to launch a few small fireballs at the newcomer, the one with the seals on their body that didn't seem to actually be infused with chakra, or at least that's what his Sharingan were telling him.
The six small fireballs would be moving at a speed of 95 and they would be traveling in a circle like pattern directly for his opponent. They would be exactly 1 meter apart from each other, and he would be able to manipulate their trajectory during their flight. So if anything was to get in the way of the fire, then he would move them out of the way to avoid the obstacle.

Kakushin immediately saw that his arrival was interupting something, a spar or meeting of some sort, and that a third party was a curveball none of the planned. Nonetheless, after the innitial suprise, the two standing young man seemed keen and open minded toward the fabricated Senju, letting him join the activity taking place in the springs of practice of the land of the moon. One of them was a small discreet man, who presented himself as Travin. He didnt wore a village headband as well, exactly like Kakushin himself, which was prehaps a sign that he was too a foreign asset in this place, maybe even a criminal like him, allowed into the very walls of the village to have safe haven and hospitality too. Kakushin appreciated his discretion, a rare trait nowadays. The other was quite the contrary: flashy, brash, intense both in presence and in chakra. He radiated the strength of a clan of old, just like Kakushin himself. As soon as the Senju saw the eyes of the man, his questions were answered. This was an Uchiha, nothing less. Their mutual clans had history, as long and often painfull history. But as a man beyond the feeble mistakes of mankind, Kakushin didnt attribute any ill to those situations of the past. He was here to learn, to grow and better humanity as a whole, trancsending those blood feuds between clans, nothing the worth of individuals by their prowess and choices, not their genetics.
As the Uchiha man confirmed that the goal was indeed to spar and train, Kakushin immediately took out his hands of his large loose kimono, revealing to have nothing on his person other than the very clothes on his back.
''Marvelous. I am ready to spar in a factice combat with you both, but at the condition that no real injury be caused, and that we remain civil.'' Said the man with a low toned voice, calm but firm in his ways, before adding ''Yes, Uchiha. We shall be opponents. You too Travin, so by all means. Lets begin.''
With all the others contestants being 10m away from one another, taking the formation of a triangle for now, Kakushin would start by making the seal of confrontation and bowing down, a usual honorific gesture when dueling and fighting people we respect.
As soon as the others opponents would start to move and act, Kakushin would simply start to do one of his signature earth release techniques, sinking into the earth at a speed 95, disapearing from the sights of the other two, molding the earth as if it was water. While underground, Kakushin would sense 30m upwards of himself due to his supperior sensory capacities, and would move trough the earth at the same speed of 95 20m deep, sensing the other 2 at the surface, but them not being able to discern where the Senju man would be, as the ground wouldnt move at all with his own movements. As the observer he was, and the forever adapting strategist in combat, he would simply wait underground, hidden from sight but with still vision to his opponents, waiting to strike at any time.

Travin simply stood and watched as the two conversed, simply nodding that he agreed to the triple threat match. With all three being 10 meters apart Travin would take a breath of fresh air filling his lungs as his body grew in power with the wind vitalizing him and granting him a small portion of its strength. Once the newer guy that had interrupted their conversation started to sink into the ground the Tanto up Travins sleeve fell into his palm tip down. While he activated his body flicker without the need of hand seals closing the distance at an insane speed 250 aiming to stop to the right side of the man. With the massive speed difference he would clear the distance before he was knee deep into the ground. While aiming to stick the tanto into the man's right shoulder with a speed of 175. Normally he would be aiming for the heart, but since killing this man right now in the village would probably get him into trouble he decided just wounding would be enough for now.
Assuming the blade struck true while Travin was reaching for his Ninjato with his right hand. He would turn with plenty of time to draw his Ninjato and point it towards Kut activating his First Form: Dust Whirlwind Cutter. With the small fireballs roughly a couple meters still away a blast of focused wind chakra would erupt from the tip of the ninjato moving out at a speed of 117 in a cone from the tip of his sword. The fireballs would fall apart within the burst of wind as it would continue on its way to envelop Kut if he did nothing.

Hasumi had reports of some of the village guests beginning to congregate in the the training grounds. Now, Hasu wasn't really supposed to be on duty that night, nor would she normally haver been assigned to check something like this due to her rank of Genin. But the girl had been curious and decided to take it upon herself to inspect the situation. Dressed in her now signature baggy grey pants and a loose black t-shit, the young girl quietly made her way towards the Springs.
The moonlight allowed the girl to see quite a distance despite the late hour, allowing her to notice the 3 ronin that were sparring in the training grounds. I didn't think there were this many...
The girl crouched low and did her best to remain quiet as she continued her approach, eventually finding herself pressed against a tree as she peered around it to watch the fight. Hasumi couldn't hear much as she watched the trio from a great distance, roughly 50 meters from the back of a man with long black hair.
The artificial girl would watch the trio display their techniques with awe. The man nearest to Hasu unleashed a torrent of fireballs at another man, who seemed to sink into the ground in response. The third man rushed toward the one who was sinking as well, but even with his impressive speed it didn't seem like he was going to make it in time to land his strike. Hasu watched as the man instead put himself in the path of the fireballs, forcing him to unleash another technique in order to cut through them.
Hasu watched the battle in amazement, realizing that she wasn't yet on a level where she could battle with another shinobi. The young kunoichi lightly touched the metal of the headband she wore around her neck as she continued to watch the trio, realizing that she had a lot of training to do if she wanted to prove to be a worthy Genin of Tsukigakure.

The man was fast, but this mattered very little to Kut. Fire still burned the same, no matter how fast you run. The fireballs that he had sent out to the first man were negated completely by the mans win technique, but unfortunately he misjudged his own speed as he tried to catch the newcomer from sinking into the earth. It was a cowardly tactic, sinking into the ground being that they were the ones that interrupted the conversation to begin with, but it mattered not at this time. Kut had a chance to begin to move forward and attack the man, or he had the chance to simply stand there and wait to see what he would do next.
The options were vast for what Kut would be able to do, but he held himself in a high position, activating his Sharingan and looking the man in the eye as the fireballs had fallen to the ground. The wind was coming his way, but Kut would decide to back peddle to ensure he wasn't caught in the range, he formed the ram hand seal and body flickered himself directly backwards, ensuring there was nothing that could get in his way or trip him.
He wasn't going to do much for now. He simply wanted to see what his opponent could do with his own abilities. He did seem to think he was faster than what he truly was. Maybe it was a foolhardy approach on his opponent's mindset, or maybe the man truly knew something more than what Kutari was able to comprehend at the time. But either way, he wasn't going to let his opponent know too much on what he could do, not just yet.
When the man would look to Kutari, Kutari would roll his eyes, simply laughing at the fool's approach to the battle. To go in, swinging the blades with reckless abandon may work on the more untrained, and honestly it might even work on Kutari if he allowed the man to get close enough. But this simply wasn't in the cards without having his opponent pay for such an act by burning himself to the ground. Kut had a decent understanding of the situation, the man to his left was fast and a bit hungry for blood immediately, while the man on the right, now underground, was more of an observer in combat.
So for now, Kut would stand there, just out of the way of the wind technique's range. He continued to stare at his opponent, waiting for his next move.

As soon as Kakushin started to sink into the earth to dodge the fiery attack of the Uchiha, the man to his opposite side decided to dash and flicker toward him, a tanto in his hand. With a faint smile, Kakushin knew the man even incredible speed couldnt catch up with his sinking, with the distance of 10m between them being too much, even at high speeds like this to catch him. Seeing how Travin couldnt alter his trajectory while flickering to him, Kakushin would wait to be barely underground (will be 3,6m deep when Travin reach his 10m end of flicker) and weave handseals to channel his chakra into the earth, creating a point directly above him, where Travin would inadvertently land, without any option to redirect. Immediately, a low to the ground 10m wide circle of stone would form around the point of origin, with Travin being inside the area, and would begin to rise into walls forming all around the zone at a speed of 105, rising up to a circle of 4m tall earth walls surrounding the unfortunate Iburi. For Travin, the earth forming the walls would soon soften the ground as they pulled toward the walls, making him do a strength stat check of 105. Should he fail, he would find himself paralyzed by the tremors and sinking into the earth, unable to move or do handseals, starting to sink deeper and deeper into the ground.
While this happened and Kakushin was still underground, the Uchiha fireballs ended into the void, not touching any targets. With his sensory abilities, the fabricated Senju still had a sense of what was happening overground, and sensed that the Uchiha too made the mistake of flickering away. With another attack, the Senju would cast another technique stemming from undeground this time aimed at the red eyed man. While he wouldnt be able to dodge, the Senju would create agressive roots stemming from the earth around his own position toward the uchiha at a speed of 95. For the people above ground, they would simply see 5 50cm thick roots exit the earth and aim toward the Uchiha's body in a way to wrap around and capture him. Out of the 5 roots, 3 would go 10m far to pursue the fire user, but 2 would still continue to go to suprise the Uchiha with the extended range, going 10m further (20m total). Should any of the roots make contact with the man who couldnt change his flickering trajectory, they would impose a strength check of 95 to resist being binded by the roots twisting around his arms and torso and holding him tight, preventing any formation of hand seals.
Wether these techniques and combo worked in his favor, Kakushin would move undeground 30m away from the position of the 2 opponents and emerge out of it, standing straight and still as he begun, looking at his two opponent and ready to keep the fight going. He had an amused look on his face, enjoying the spar and the readyness of both his opponents, fierce individuals who had the spirits of warriors and the resolve of hardened people, much like himself.
''this is a good excercise I must say. I even see we have spectators.'' would say loudly but calmly Kakushin to be heard by all, his deep voice resonating into the practice field.
