The Power of Nepotism Pt. 2 (IO)

Finally, Junko found out where Jun had run off to, and summoned her to the Kage office. She already had the paperwork prepared by the time she entered the office. Junko offered her a welcoming hug as she walked in, and then the two of them settled in by her desk.  There were a few things Junko needed to discuss with her, the first being her rank within the village. Like she had given to Kiko, Jun would be given the rank of Tokubetsu Jounin. After filling out the proper paperwork Junko would pull out a village headband and hand it over to her along with a bit of Ryo.

The other reason that she needed Jun, was to be the first person Junko made a summoning contract with. She’d pull a very large scroll from one of the cabinets near her desk and roll it out on top of all the paperwork. Junko would inform her that they would be making a contract so she’d be able to summon Jun if needed. Should she agree, Junko would watch Jun sign the paperwork in her blood then after it dried she’d roll the scroll up once more and put it away.

After they were finished Junko would ask that Jun give her a bit of a life update. Her dear clone had been off with a few of the other vagabonds and she hadn’t seen much of her. She had been staying with Daiki at the bar while spending most of her time indulging in who knows what and this made Junko concerned. Jun seemingly didn’t have the same drive as Kiko and herself, so she had a bit of a hard time relating to her. She seemed to never take anything seriously and acted more like a child seeking attention.

They then talked for a few hours as Junko listened to her sweet clone, she had no way of knowing if her words were the truth but she hoped it was so. She knew that Jun must have been doing something since her eyes had seemingly developed, which brought her some comfort. After talking Jun would then excuse herself from the conversation, explaining that she had other things to attend to. Junko would offer her a quick hug, and then escort her from the office. They would then exchange goodbyes and she’d watch as Jun walked down the stairs.

Recently Jun had entered the village and found herself staying with Daiki in a home near Darkside. That morning Jun would open the door to find a messenger who informed her that Junko requested her presence. She’d let out an exasperated sigh before accepting the request and then saying goodbye to the messenger. Jun would then finish her morning preparations before making her way to the Kage Tower. It was unfortunate that Junko's office was at the very top, she shuddered at the thought of having to climb those stairs. Finally, she’d make her way to the entrance and head inside.

After talking with a secretary, Jun would begin wandering up the seemingly endless staircase. As she reached the top, she took a few moments to catch her breath then proceeded to Junko’s office door. After walking inside, Junko would attempt to hug her, but Jun would stiffen slightly at her touch. Though after she felt the comfort of her creator's embrace she relaxed and hugged Junko tightly. The two of them would sit at the desk and begin to fill out paperwork. She had forgotten just how comforting to be around Junko, and would momentarily reminisce about the time they lived together. However, she’d snap back to reality as her creator instructed her to sign her name in a few places.

Jun would take the headband from Junko, wrap it around her waist, and then accept the Ryo. Moving on to the next task, Junko would explain that she wished for Jun to sign a contract that would allow her creator to summon her at will. Though it did sound a bit scary, how could she deny her? Junko would then pull out a large scroll with a contract written at the top, then offer her a small pen with an empty removable vial in the center. Jun would use to write her name in blood below the contract. Once dry, Junko would put it away and sit down at her desk once more.

She listened as her creator inquired about her life, asking what she had been up to recently. Seeing this as an opportunity to speak about Daiki, Jun would then inform her of the bar he had been running. She’d explain that she had been spending most of her time there helping run the place, however, she wouldn’t remark about the amount of alcohol she was consuming on a daily basis. They would continue to talk for the next few hours, but Jun had agreed to help Daiki at the bar so she needed to head out. After hugging each other once more, Jun politely excused herself from Junko’s office and headed home to get changed.
