A Trip to the Hospital
Mon Oct 14, 2024 9:24 pm
The contents of the cooler were...interesting to the male. He had received it at the mouth of the cave where he had dwelled through means even he did not know about. He had not asked nor requested this, but all it had on the lid was "Jugo." Interestingly enough he knew of the Clan and assumed it contained an organ of their illustrious if not volatile clan...though the means of procurement did begin to tickle at his mind. Instead he would take the sudden gift as a blessing and knew where to inqure and receive its power. Picking up the cooler he would begin to head down from the mountains and toward the hospital. The Chuunin wore his usual attire and walked with a pace that was not in a hurry but also moving with purpose. He was used to the trek from the mountains to the village, and it was always refreshing. After a few moments he had stepped foot into the village proper and from there moved a little more quickly. Moments more passed before the Uchiha stood tall in front of the front doors of the hospital, his icy blue eyes admired it for a moment before using his right hand to push inward and step inside. Looking around his first stop would be the front desk where he would request for a medic to a transplant of an organ into him. Knowing there would probably be a wait for the Chuunin he went to sit down and waited patiently for one to come to him.

Busy as usual, Asuka found herself once again working in the bustling halls of the Ichigo Sato Institute of Medicine. Though she caved to spend her time in the kitchen, baking, and cooking for hours on end, she knew her time was best spent helping others. She had been staying later than normal, picking up any hours that needed to be filled. Admittedly she just didn’t want to be home, its rooms held memories she wasn’t quite ready to let go of yet. Instead of dwelling on such things, she allowed her work to consume her mind.
At the beginning of her shift, she’d adorn herself in a simple set of light pink scrubs, along with her doctor's coat and stethoscope. Her beautifully maintained white hair was pulled partially into a ponytail, though the other half laid flat down her back. Soon she’d make her way into her office and go over the schedule for the day. Time passed and Asuka easily was able to help any who came into her care. Though the most important task she was assigned was an organ transplant.
Looking over the patient's chart, Asuka would frown slightly as she noticed the young man's age. She always felt odd doing medical procedures on younger patients, but she wouldn't let her personal biases interfere with her work. After asking a nurse to prepare a room for them, she’d make her way towards the waiting room to collect him with a clipboard in hand. Once out there, she’d briefly look around and clear her throat slightly before speaking up and calling his name.
”Kensei Onomori?”
With a smile, she’d patiently wait for him to approach her before confirming his identity and leading him to one of the rooms. Once in there, she’d have him take a seat on the bed before flipping through some of the paperwork attached to the clipboard and taking a seat on a small stool.
”It’s a pleasure to meet you Kensei, you can call me Asuka. I’ll be the one doing your transplant this afternoon. Why don’t you tell me a bit more about what you want done exactly? Which organs will I be removing and replacing?”
Pulling out a pen from one of her pockets, she began to write down his answers on the paperwork.

As he was sitting, he remained stoic with his back firmly placed along the back of the chair and his hands in his lap. His posture was to most a little too correct to the point it was weird that he cared about something as small as it. He kept his head on a swivel keeping tabs on those who had passed him and not necessarily eavesdropping but making sure things were well. The hustle and bustle of the hospital was a place that he did not visit the most, but knew of its tumultuous habits for those who had hurt themselves or worse. Turning his head slightly he would hear the steps of someone coming closer to him and once his named was called he would turn to give that person his full attention. Before he stood up he would grab the cooler and slowly press out of the chair rising to his full height as he towered over the Doctor who had called him and walked over to her.
"Yes that is me."
he'd say as he stopped a meter from the lady and when she beckoned for him to follow, he would. His eyes remained forward as he walked but his ears remained open as they traveled to the room where he would be operated on. Stepping inside he would sit the organ cooler on one of the small metallic tray's near him and place his hands once more in his lap. Her question was simple and to the point, something that he had liked. Raising his left hand slightly he would point to the cooler and then over to his left side near his kidney as he begun to spoke," I would like the organ nestled in that cooler to replace my kidney here please. You can either donate the old one or use it for someone here honestly. The other organ coming into my body, I believe, comes from the Jugo clan."

As he explained which organs would be swapped out, Asuka would write his answer down ensuring to note it properly. Once he finished speaking, she’d look up to him with a nod before standing. Though she had done countless number of surgeries, she hadn’t had the opportunity to perform one to simply swap out an organ. She made her way over to the cooler, and upon inspecting the kidney she came to the conclusion that it would be a pretty simple procedure.
”Perfect, the organ looks to be in perfect condition so the transplant should go smoothly. Would you please remove your shirt and lie down on the table so I can get started? It shouldn’t take too long, I promise to have you out in no time.”
Asuka offered him a smile as she motioned for him to get comfortable on the bed. Pulling the remainder of her long white hair into a high ponytail, she began preparing herself for the operation. She’d take the time to place a mask over her face, then carefully wash her hands and a bit of her forearms before slipping on a pair of gloves. Returning her attention to Kensei, she gave him a reassuring expression as she walked to his side once more. If he had followed her instructions and laid on the bed after removing his shirt, she’d activate her Byakugan. Using it’s penetrating vision, she’d quickly locate his kidney.
”You ready? First I’ll administer some anesthesia to ensure you won’t feel any pain. Once that’s set in, I’ll go ahead and start the operation if that’s alright with you.”
She would pause for a moment, waiting for him to give her the okay to begin the procedure. If he gave her permission she would start by doing the proper hand seals for Chakra Anesthesia and placing her palm on his abdomen. As it began to take effect, Asuka would speak up one more.
”You’ll feel a bit loopy, but please try your best to stay still”
Asuka would remain by his side until the effects of the anesthesia began to seep into his mind.

He would stand back up for a moment and take off his jacket followed by his shirt. What would be revealed underneath it however was a slew of scars and bandages from either past trainings or recent trainings that he had occurred. Pain was nothing much to him as someone who used his own body as a weapon, but this would just feel like another day to him. Laying down this time he would give her a nod and allow her to do her job, not really moving or reacting when he had first administered the anesthetic to him. He didn't intend to fight the feeling, but because his body had always been in a constant state of calm mostly due to his training, his eye would twitch a bit. After a moment he would take a deep breathe and allow the chakra based medicine to do its job and finally put his body into a state of numbness. Once she had began he would close his eyes and allow the process to start and finish.
