Dagonn's Strength Training
Sat May 18, 2013 7:52 pm
Slowly, Dagonn paced into the training ground. He walked in, and immediately surveyed his surroundings. This was the first time he had walked into the Training Grounds, and he was training to get ready for the Genin exams.
He looked around. The walls were old and cracked, torn apart from their old age. This place must’ve been up for years. There was no roof, the training grounds basically being just an open dome.
The grass was as dead as ghosts, looking a brown-yellow colour, with crunching sounds created when walking on top of them. Rocks were scattered everywhere, varying in size. “Perfect” Dagonn thought to himself. “I can train up my strength here. I’m sick and tired of being a weakling at the academy, and getting picked on by the tougher kids.”
He walked over to the biggest rock he could find. The rock was massive, being almost the whole size of Dagonn. Unconfidently, he attempted to pick it up. The rock would not budge, and after several minutes of trying to hoist the rock, Dagonn gave up.
He looked around again, and found a rock about the quarter of the size of the last one. He strolled over to it and attempted to pick it up. This one was much lighter and easier to pick up compared to the massive one. He slowly picked it up, and held it over his head, his knees were shaking at the weight of the rock. Dagonn thought he would drop it, but he didn’t.
With a loud grunt, he threw the rock as far as he could, throwing it a fair distance away from him. “I feel stronger already!” he relayed to himself as he stared at the rock he just threw. Dagonn promised himself that by the end of the week, he would be able to hoist that bigger rock and throw it just as far as the other one!
Dagonn approached the same rock, and proceeded to pick it up and throw it countless times, each time it getting easier and easier to throw. After a few hours of hard training, he was able to throw the rock with ease, almost being able to throw it in a single hand. “It’s amazing what a few hours of hard work can do!” he said out loud, throwing the rock for the last time. Wiping off the sweat from his forehead, he walked out the front of the Training Arena entrance, and paced off back to his home to sleep and rest up.
He awoke early in the morning, a problem he usually had from the day he was born. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t sleep in like all the other kids could. He didn’t care though, he was eager to get back to the Training Grounds to train up his strength with the rocks. He rushed through his breakfast and threw some clothes on, and ran full speed to get to the training grounds as early as he possibly could.
As he was walking towards the Training Ground, he saw a rock on the outskirts of the arena. It looked about double the size of the rock he was throwing around with ease yesterday. He picked it up, struggling at first and dropping it, dusting of his hands and tending the scabs on them. The rock had grazed his hand it was bleeding a little. That didn’t faze him though, as he went to pick it up for the second time.
This time, he made sure he didn’t drop it. With all his might, he threw it over the broken wall of the Arena and inside it. A loud THUD proceeded, and the ground shook a little. Excitingly, he ran back to the entrance and into the arena, where the ball was lying there, flat on the ground. He screamed in joy, surprised that he could throw the ball on his first try.
He spent the rest of the day working on throwing the bigger ball as far as he could and worked also on throwing it with one hand. By the end of the day, he could throw it with one hand, just like his last ball. He went back to the ball he used yesterday, and threw it. He threw it almost the length of the whole arena!
The old ball felt so light to him, it felt like he was throwing around a ball of string! Happily, he skipped off home for another nights rest. He promised himself that the next day he would tackle the large stone.
Repeating the same morning routine as yesterday, Dagonn rushed back to the training arena to finally tackle the big ball. He proudly walked towards the big rock in the middle of the arena, and stared it down with his Amber eyes.
He planted his hands firmly on the sides of it, and used his arms to slowly lift the ball up into the air. Very carefully, he lifted it up into the air and raised it above his heard. He let out a loud war cry, and throw it across the training area with all of his might. The ball went flying, and it landed a few metres away from him.
“Not too bad, I can work on it” Dagonn murmured to himself as he went towards the ball to throw it again. “If I can keep finding heavier objects to throw around, I can get stronger in no time! Someday, I’ll be the strongest Ninja in the entire Village! I’ll become Raikage!” he enthusiastically said out loud while people gave him odd stares.
He didn’t care the slightest though, as he walked around throwing the large ball from end to end of the training arena, mastering it just like all the other balls before it. Before he knew it, he was throwing it with one hand like the rest of the balls.
The sun started setting and Dagonn heaved the last ball. He layed on the floor and wiped the sweat off his body, relaxing for a few good minutes before he got up and begun to walk home. This was the first time he wanted to train something, and it heaved excellent results.
