The First Church of Megami Christ {Open - NK}
Wed Mar 12, 2014 2:42 am
Megami sighed as she waltzed through the area, searching for the appropriate place to build her new church. She had handled all of the legal matters thus far and now needed only to construct the actual church and get it all set up. She sighed as she bent over, her arms dangling like noodles as she turned from side to side. "I don't even have the strength to build a church... Neither does Pit..." she sighed and looked up, realizing that if she summoned both Pit and Bell then constructing the church would be a cinch! She giggled gently, the young messiah's face becoming plastered with a grin that stretched almost completely from ear to ear. She slid her finger along her Summoning Seal of Jupiter, a seal that had been carved into her skin at birth that she had actually just recently awakened. "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" she chanted the necessary incantation as the seal glowed briefly, two of her angels appearing instantaneously within two feet of her left and her right in a puff of smoke.
She nodded enthusiastically, giving them their orders of the moment as she started trying to lift a heavy plank of wood on her own. "Let's get started on the foundation then we can worry about the aesthetics, guys!" she shouted as the angels began to help her with the construction, quickly lifting the wooden materials and planting them firmly in the ground with their angelic strength. She sighed as they had begun the construction of what would be the 'First Church of Megami Christ' where she would minister and preach every Wednesday and Sunday whilst also accepting donations for the progress of Christianity as well as to fund good deeds all across the village. Megami actually had hoped that they would receive enough donations for her to start administering good will missions to members of the church, paying them for their services and equipping them with whatever was necessary to carry out their charity.
Megami sighed, almost in a daze as she day dreamed of what her future church would be like when it was complete. That is, if it was completed. At the rate they were going, chances were it would take several days. Especially with only the three of them. Megami could only hope that someone would notice the construction, ask her for details, and offer to help. Though expecting such a thing in the Cloud village was a bit much and far from realistic. The vast majority of shinobi and civilians throughout the village believed in shrines and other such pantheons of gods and idolatry rather than any firm belief in a single god. Chances were she could possibly be chased out of the village or worse... She could only hope that the Raikage would not allow such a thing to happen. After all, her intentions were nothing short of good and earnest.
She continued to prop wooden piece after wooden piece side by side into the ground, making sure they were perfectly even and properly placed with various tools that a friendly carpenter had loaned her for her goal of constructing a church. Her angel summons continued to assist her in her endeavor, not a single complaint coming from either one. To be quite frank, they were both just as excited for the church as she was. After all, it meant that they could be a part of the ministry as well. Witness to people that angels truly existed and the wonders of God's love and what-not. Megami retrieved a hammer from her toolbox as well as some nails and got started on the connecting of the wooden pieces. Such was necessary for a stable foundation, after all. One could not simply stick a few wooden planks in the ground and hope that they held fast.
She sighed as she worked, little beads of sweat dripping from her forehead as the bright Cloud village sun started to wear down on her. 'Ugh... Ew! Sweat! This is such a hassle...' she thought to herself, sighing as she continued to work with the angels on the foundation of the church. At this point, Pit had ceased to help with the foundation and had begun putting up signs that read "First Church of Megami Christ - Under Construction" so that people would be prepared for the church that was to come and to also know not to enter until the 'under construction' part had been replaced with the weekly message. That way they were legally free from any liability in case someone entered too soon and was injured.
She sighed as she stopped and looked towards the sky, wiping the sweat clean from her forehead and stepping back to take a look at what they had done so far. It wasn't too bad... They had at least finished the perimeter which was approximately fifty meters by seventy meters. Seventy meters in width and fifty meters in length. She sighed as she plopped down on the dusty ground, closing her eyes to rest them while the angels continued, hard at work. She wondered, at first, how they could continue working without tire but soon realized that they were angels, after all, and had been doing manual labor since time immemorial. She started beating her head against her palm, coming slowly to the conclusion that perhaps she was in over her head. No one would help her and she would possibly spend a great deal of time and effort building a church that, quite frankly, may not even be all that successful.
At this thought she stood up immediately, a fire in her eyes. She brushed aside all such thoughts and became determined all in a single swoop. "I can't give up now! God sent me to deliver his message and I can't let him down!" she shouted rather enthusiastically before immediately returning to her work, helping the angels establish the foundation for the church that was to come. After all, the messiah would play a key-role in such a church and the most important part of all the construction was that she humbling herself to build it and practicing humility by not relying entirely on others to build it for her. This was something she needed to help with herself. She couldn't let the angels do all of the work! The thoughts zoomed through her mind as she started lifting large bundles of wood, quickly carrying them over on her shoulder to where they would be placed as she started sticking them firmly into the ground one after another.

Aya had been walking through the streets when she saw it. A construction site for a church. Huh, now that she hadn't seen before. Taking a few steps backwards to better see what was going on, a girl and two... angels? Okay... a girl and two angels were working hard while making what looked to be the floor for the church. As she looked on, the redhead recalled her mothers words.
'Go out there and make some friends!' had been the gist of what she said. Aya had tuned out the rest, having long since become accustomed to her mothers rants about being more social. She didn't mean to be anti-social, honestly, she was just so focused on being stronger, to earning her headband that she honestly just put her social life in the backseat. And when her mother had all but thrown her out of the house with her orders to stay away from the training grounds, Aya had planned to mostly just walk around town and see what was going on.
Snapping out of her thoughts the redhead quickly debated on whether or not she should offer some help to the girl. Shrugging her shoulders, she decided why not? The girl obviously needed the help, and she had nothing better to do, and it also looked kind of interesting.
"Hey! Um... excuse me" she amended, remembering her manners "Do you need any help?" she asked, standing at the edge of the construction site. Inwardly she sighed at herself, had her social skills really gotten that bad? Or were they that blunt from the beginning? She had never been very social, at least not outside of her family.
