The Council of Yuki (IO, Kiru, Daiy, Ice)

Maku was in his office, leaning back in a chair staring at the ceiling.  He was exhausted, but still knew there was much to get done, and be done with.  As he stared at the ceiling, he momentarily dozed off, and tipped back farther than expected causing his feet that were on the desk to knock off some papers.  Shaking his head angry with his momentary folly, he stood and started collecting all the papers.  As he shuffled each one, he came across a paper that he hadn't seen in a while.  It was the notice and memo on the Yukigakure chunin exams.  Damn, how had he let time get away from him and this not go through.  However, an idea struck him. 

He knew that he would be leaving with Echo at some point soon with Youka, leaving the village to be very vulnerable.  It would be adventitious to have a group with some kind of skill looking after the place in his stead, and there was no singular individual he could trust with it.  Perhaps it was better for the events to have happened the way they have, instead of the original progression of things had been intended.  Sitting back in his desk, he leaned back again and contemplated how he could handle this situation.  He would like a way to not rank one genin, but instead all 3 of his most loyal.  Doing so, he could institute a council of sorts to run his affairs while he was gone.  He found himself already thinking it over.  Daiyuki would obviously be head of security.  Yorice in charge of logistics, and Kiru as handling all the duties of the people.  This could work, and be profitable for everyone.  However, he could not just promote them without a true test of their talents and skills.  However for now a nap seemed in order.

Maku awoke the next morning, feeling revitalized by the sleep.  He would send out his two ANBU female to find the three he was looking for.  After they left, he realized he hadn't even started working on their test.  Shit........ O well, he probably had a few while they came to him.  He could whip something up in that amount of time right?  Sure he could, he was Maku, he could do anything.

Yorice would get woken up by a knock on his door, he got out of bed and walk to the door, and there was once of Maku's assistants, and she told ice the message, meanwhile he was currently trying to remember her name and was failing, and then she was gone suddenly, so he would close the door and he would go get dressed for the day, he wasnt going far so no coat or scarf today, so his blue shirt showed and his black shorts, the tape up his legs and his feet portected by sandles, and he would head out the door

Ice would then approach the village leaders area, and as he figured maku was expecting him from ...Charlett that was her name, ice thinks, since the message from her, he should be good, so he would push on the door and walk into the leaders area, calling out for his Sensei

"Sensei? You summoned me?Whats going on?" Ice looked around a moment to spot his sensei, seemed he was haunched over some papers on his desk, as always, so he sat in the seat he had last time and waited for what his Sensei wanted

Daiyuki had been seated on rooftop in the edge of the village where he was enjoying ramen (eki). The ramen was well prepared full of the essentials. He watched the people below the building, easily distinguishing which had left the nearby pub. He hated the scent of sake and other alcoholic beverages but their taste was heavenly to him.  Daiyuki pondered so much about the chunin exams in the last few days so much so he often neglected to train. The wolf mask he often wore had been removed in the eating of his ramen. After eating his fill he placed what was left in as a different bowl, this would be for his ninken. Now that his mind was on her he pondered where she was at the moment. 
 
Startled by absence of his ninken; Daiyuki would stand up then turn around, he whistled for her but no avail would he receive a response. The boy became very worried this was unlike his hyperactive wolf mate. He sniffed the air for her scent, it was subtle but she was definitely near. Daiyuki followed her faint scent about 10 rooftops south of hos original position. As he neared her location she would be seated in front of a lady who he instantly recognized as Anne. “What the hell are you doing wolf” he snapped at Shiroi .
 
The wolf would look but not respond, which was highly unusual for her. The woman would smirk then place an envelope at Shiroi’s paws before disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
 
Daiyuki ran toward his wolf only to be greeted by his now hyperactive ninken. “Boss you smell like eki ramen, I know you have started eating without me!” The wolf said in her normal happy voice
 
Ignoring the change in his ninken’s demeanor Daiyuki would pick up the envelope then open it only to see a paper with some words written on it, the paper would say
 
“Get to my office now”
 
Daiyuki crumbled the paper and look to his ninken “Now that you’ve regained your senses, let’s go we’ve been summoned” He say as the both took of toward the Kages office, which was 3 buildings over.
 
Daiyuki and Shiroi landed on the building with a thud. They jump down toward the entrance only to be intercepted by a different woman, Daiyuki recognized this woman as charlotte. The woman would usher him in the building, she would walk him to the kages door.
 
Daiyuki stood at the door, knocking obnoxiously he would say “Sir, did you summoned me?”  
 

He stood there awaiting a response to enter.  It never would come. Daiyuki turned the nob there he would see Maku at his desk lounging as usual and standing before him was Yorice. Daiyuki withheld making a sly Uchiha joke this time, he would just wave and fall in line beside his friend. Awaiting the reason he was summoned.

Kiru yawned gently, his eyes sleepy, and his pace sluggish. He had meant to train with his dragon friends, but had ended up receiving a scolding from the Elder Dragon about destroying the stalactites as target practice. He was unlucky in that the Elder Dragon talked in a slow, calculated manner, and it had taken an entire night for him to get the point across that the stones were important for sensing intruders. He had not been informed how, or why they did this. His punishment was to carry a bag of rocks to the village, then back to the cave. He was just about to turn back, shouldering his heavy load, when one of Maku's assistance appeared, handing him a note. It read that Maku needed him now. Which probably meant Kiru was going to be late. He sighed, and pondered the best route to take. He knew a roof access way, that he could punch through one of Maku's windows, but that would likely end his life.  He could get there extremely fast by summoning Tatsakawa, but the dragon would likely disobey him because he was disobeying the Elder's direct order. Kiru also knew, that if he put down the rocks, The elder would know. 

His only option would be to get to Maku's and disguise the heavy bag, to avoid the question of why he was doing such a menial task. He used a transformation Jutsu to make the pack look more like a backpack, and leapt onto the nearest building. He flew pretty gracefully through the air, but that's probably because he was doing more jumping than running. He had to get to Maku's place, and running with the rocks would make him stumble and fall off a building. He jumped at his fastest pace across the village, and finally ended up at the Leader's House. He was breathing heavy, and took a small moment to calm down. He ran up the stairs, and saw he was the last genin to enter the office. A brief look of horror would flash across his face, as he knew that being last was defiantly going to get him low marks on whatever Maku-fied test his leader was planning. Though he wasn't sure he assumed his leader was planning something, he just knew that there were few reasons why all three should be there. He almost instantaneously wiped the look off his face, and made himself more neutral. "Sorry for the lateness, I was doing some special training at the far end of the village."

"Ahh hello Yorice, yes I have somethi.......... Yes come in Daiy, I have summoned both of you and Kiru for something special.  A note has just come across my desk."  Maku touched a note and waved it around, which was totally blank.  He was hoping they didn't really notice, however he didn't do a good job hiding it either, so he just expected them to not say anything.  "It is a mission of sorts, and due to the lack of chunin in the village, I have decided to send the three of you on your own.  I wouldn't do it if I didn't think you could handle it though, I don't know what is taking Kiru so long." Maku stretched his neck side to side, and spun in his spiny chair, cause it was fun to do things like that.  This was when Kiru walked in, and Maku repeated everything he had just said.  He was in a decent mood from that nap, so he didn't really mind today.

"Basically there are reports coming in from the tundra, and I need you three to get out there and investigate.  I don't know what it is, but I need it taken care of.  If it is a hostile disarm it and bring it back.  If it resits kill it and be done.  I am not messing around here guys."  He said turning to face the two of them.  His eyes would be serious, and his tone would reflect that.  He wanted to make it clear that this mission would have risk and be their real test.  Of course they had no idea that this could possibly make all three of them into chunin.  Which is how he wanted it.

"Death is a possibility, as always.  This is the ninja world, not the fluffy bunny camp.  Watch your backs, and watch each others.  Now, is there any questions before I continue?"

Ice would look at the other two and look back to Maku, he didnt know about the others but he wanted to know "Well Sir, is there anything you can tell us about this thing or person?, anything to help with weakness's or its strengths?" Ice wanted to know so he could come up with a plan a head of time, but it was already forming, he would distract it, and then would most likely try to get Kiru and Daiy and his wolf to do a three way pierceing attack, but that was only hypotectical, he had a dozen other plans go through his head, anyway it went, he was certain that they could handle it

Daiyuki stood but as the tone in his leader, grew cold    he would sit down crisscrossed and his wolf would lay his feet. “Death is always a possibility” Daiyuki hung on these words because his nindo or ninja creed was survival and it being his only option.  However the tundra was his land and where he spent the majority of his time. Quickly coming to his senses he would interrupt Yorice. “Yorice before you ask what is it we are after, shouldn’t you ponder what the environment is like?” He would say this in a rhetorical sense because he was sure the Uchiha would assume it be like the inlands of Yukigakure no Soto.
 
He thought it would be best just to explain the environment and it wildlife “The winds of the tundra usually range from anywhere between 15 to 25mph given the occasional snow covered gust clocking out a good 35mph. The animals consist of wild packs of wolves twice Shiori’s 127cm frame and 80 kg weight, not to mention the legendary polar bear which was more than 3 times the same of a full grown man.” Daiyuki hated to ramble but he felt his friends should know the environment as well as he did.
 
“We must also be careful of the snow pits, which are trenches dug to hide a 10 foot drop onto icy glacier points.”
 
Daiyuki paused and let the information sink before addressing Maku directly “Sir, I can understand why we were chosen for this mission but are certain we are capable?”
 
Daiyuki tried to stop but it slipped, he would be asking as to second guess the kage sanity and more less the abilities of his friends.
 
Would he abandon his nindo for their sakes? He removed his mask allowing them to see his face for the first time since his accident. Daiyuki’s golden eyes would peer directly into his Maku.
 
“Death is more than just a possibility right Maku? Because if we return unsuccessful Death will be certain am I correct?”
 

Daiyuki understood Maku far better than others with his face disfigured and drooping, as it was he knew what being sloppy in your actions would cost and by Maku’s hands death would be certain.

"Is there a specific size to this threat? Soldiers, or even what their abilities might be? I understand on a normal mission we wouldn't know these things but it can't hurt to ask. Daiy is right as well, the tundra is a rather dangerous place. I have had to travel it quite frequently as of late, and have run into most of the problems he has mentioned. We need as much info as possible before any kind of assault."
Kiru wasn't interested in dying today if he could help it. He would not step over his friends bodies either. His strength wasn't worth such a high price.
"We need to come up with some data, and a plan before jumping into this. Can we see the threat from the walls perhaps?"
If they could analyze their target from a distance, then they could potentially gain invaluable info. "If that doesn't work... I have another way, but i'll need Ice for his hidden mist jutsu."

Maku waited for everyone to speak to respond.  He answered in reverse order.  "Kiru, your right to ask, but I can not provide any of that information.  I don't believe there are more than 3 individuals from my reports.  Nice try though.  Daiyuki, death is always a possibility and a probability when you live like ninja.  I will not be saving you from this, you need to do it yourselves.  Complete the mission and there will be no need to ask such questions."  He would leave it at that, his point clear.

"Watch the enviroment, Daiy is right and seems to have the best handle on the situation, I would listen to him if you two know whats good for you.  Now go, shoo shoo.  Complete the mission and come back to me alive and be rewarded.  Fail, and you won't have to concern yourselves with anything."  Maku would watch them and wait for their final words and their departure.  Once that happened he would begin the next part of his scheme.  He was going to have to push these genin to their limits, physically and mentally.  He would break them and build them back up again.  He hoped they all lived through this, he really did.  However he wasn't sure if they would or not.

His own wants and needs couldn't always get in the way.  He wanted to protect them in a way, but if they couldn't handle what he had in store for them, then he would have to kill them.  He would figure something out, should they all die, though it was of course less than desirable.  He must not be the leader they deserved, but the leader they needed.  He would make them strong, he would forge them into something greater than they ever would have been without him. 

He was Maku Jemuzu, the only one of his name, not from a clan with a legacy, and from a piss poor village that made no difference on the world.  However he would not let the same be said for these genin.  He would see them elevated in station and make a diffrence on this world.  They needed more experience though, and more strength.  These kids had no idea what he had in store for them after this test, how could they.  No, to them this was another mission.  To Maku this was the start of an elite team that would reshape the maps of the ninja world if they truly followed him.

Once Ice had all the answers he needed he stood up and bowed to his sensei and looked to the other two and nod and say"Once you get your answers Ill be waiting for you two outside" he was begining to think of more ideas as he walked outside, he wanted to waste no more time, this was preventing him to  train for the chunnin exams, and as important as the exams were, the protection of the village came first, so Ice would continue his slow walk to let the others catch up quickly, if they didnt catch up by the time he reached the gates, he would wait there for them
