The Council of Yuki (IO, Kiru, Daiy, Ice)

The atmosphere in the room seemed to change, especially since Kiru had rambled out the report on the way there. Maku and his genin all seated in a hospital room. Daiyuki was a little hesitant to be close to Maku right now as he was still on edge. He wondered to him self as Yorice lay recovering his bed why had Maku sent them to death only to intervene?  Daiyuki would listen closely as the tone in which his leader addressed him seem just as serious as it was when he sent them on the "mission" first place more so his voice reminded him of the time they'd made the pact with each other.

"Times are changing, the world isn't as it once was.  I fear the days of peace are coming to a close."  His first statement profound yet incredibly vague.  He would stand and look out the window, a blizzard had rolled in and the wind howled and wailed as it tore through the village.  "I have no hard evidence to support such a fact, but I just feel it in my bones.  I have a boss, Kuishu of the Burning Sky.  We will be leaving the village soon, in less than a month now.  We will be inspecting the world, and tearing down threats before they can become to strong to stop."  He would look around, and lean heavily against the wall.  His eyes would move back and forth between each of his ninja, making eye contact.

"In my absence I worry about the affairs of the village.  I need to see them well provided for, and that is where you three come in.  I will have the three of you watching over the village should I be required to travel." He would let these words sink in, and allow some questions if they had any before he continued.

Before Maku began his Speach Ice would, just to make sure, recap the mission "Sir after we left your Office, we stayed at the gates while we made a plan, once our plan was made, we headed out to the tundra, once we got out there, daiy showed us to a spot he thought save, then sir we got attacked as soon as we seperated, by a Giant wurm with a stinger ..."Ice would pull the stinger out of his belongings and hand it to maku with his good arm" this is proof, then after we handled the wurm we got attacked by the two ninja, and due to the error and arrogance of one, it almost costed them, their life, as well, then the second ninja came in and saved their partner, thats when you came in, also we had some bonding time before the attacks, we understand each other better now" Ice would wince as the long winded speach cause his shoulder a little discomfort, but the med ninjas did a good job patching up his arm.

Ice would look up at Maku after his speach and then he looked down and spoke "Sir when do you plan on leaving, and I wanted to talk about returning eventually to the roots of the Uchiha clan, get to know their side of the stories I grew up hearing, but if you need me sir, you know i anwser the call you give first" even though Ice said he, he didnt mean it, he would let out a sigh, he just found a sensei and he might be leaving soon, Ice needed to leave the village, but his leader needed him to help watch the village, he was so torn, he would let the others speak at this point

"Are you positive we are strong enough to deal with any threat? We work great as a team, but Daiyuki seems to have a problem staying calm, and my arm isn't ever going to heal correctly after what Youka did to it. I can still be a powerful opponent, but until I find some way to fix it, I almost require backup."
He knew he could very well get fired for such an injury, but he felt Maku needed to know. "Unless you have a way to consistently keep Daiyuki in check, or any spare arms around, those would be our weaknesses."
He almost felt he should say something about Ice's Sharingan reliance, but so far, that had only had good effects. "I think I can speak for all of us when I say we would love to protect and manage the village in you're absence, but I would like an opinion on how to fix our collective weaknesses."

Daiyuki had let Maku words sink in. They would sink so deep that Daiyuki would become deaf to his comrades comments. "Arraahhh" would be the sound Daiyuki made beneath his mask. It was evident that the battle with the female ninja had pushed Daiyuki over his mental limit and with Shiroi waiting out the room there would be no voice of reason. The wolf boy lunged forward, he at this point would grab his leader by the coat his mask would fall off in the process. 

Staring into his leader eyes Daiyuki would scream "WHY!!!" "Look at Yorice, you caused this and now you want our lives to be on the line as you travel and work for a boss we've never heard of" 

He was breaking, his mind was becoming more feral by the minute. He could hear his leader's heart beating.  what would stop Daiyuki from chomping down on his leader jugular right now?  Yorice blood stained covers only pushed him further into more of an animalistic rage. Daiyuki had began to salivate at the mouth and his eyes had begin to glaze over.

The boy grabbed Maku, and he made no attempt to stop him.  He felt the man shake him, and ask his questions.  In fact, Maku was pleased to actually see a little emotion other than, o im so sad and worried about stuff.  Raising his hand, he snapped his fingers right in Daiyuki's face.  As he did, he placed the wolf boy under the Ephermal genjutsu.  The entire area would change, and it would be Maku and Daiyuki standing in the tundra all alone.  Well, the only living things.  All around them, slaughtered people and wolves lay, staining the snow crimson.  Standing tall, Maku looked at Daiyuki who stood inside of an iron cage, shackled to the floor with heavy metal colalrs and chains.

"I did this to him Daiyuki Inouzuka, no I think you are strongly mistaken.  I think you did it to him.  You blame me for your weakness, held back by your own anger and rage.  It disgusts me, emotions run rampant.  It is the one thing I will not forgive.  If you wanted your friends to remain safe, then you best prepare to do it yourself, because in this world, only you can decide the fates of yourself and allies."  The chains would pull down leaving Daiyuki causing him to lay on his stomach, flat on the cold steel floor.  "I do what I must.  My goals and abilities lay outside of your current understandings.  If you wish to ever become more than what you are, you will get a grip on this animal you allow yourself to become and tame it."  Clapping his hands together the image would change again.  This time it would show Daiyuki's family as they would look if they had never been killed.  He accessed Daiyuki's own minds and dreams to form the image.

"You long for revenge so much, you let hatred swell and move you to purpose when things don't go your way.  You miss your family so much, even though you hide it deep in your soul so you don't have to feel pain, but what you don't relize."  Once again the image would shimmer, and the family would be replaced with Kiru and Yorice.  "You have a family right here that cares for you.  You became an animal to escape your pain, but in doing so, you choose to escape your salvation.  I will not see another of my friends fall to hatred and rage."  The scene would change one more time.  This time it would show the nation of Yukigakure, with a shadowed figure standing at the gates.  He wore long blue robes and had a hat of a kage.  Yuki, no longer a minor village, but one of the major powers in the world.

"We can accomplish so much.  However getting there won't be easy, but nothing in this life worth doing is easy.  Tame your beast Daiyuki, and become the man that I know you can be."



The genjutsu would end, and they would be back in reality.  The entire exchange would have taken as much time as it took for the sound of the snap to fade from the room.  Assuming this had taken Daiyuki off gaurd and left him mentally exhausted, Maku would help sit him in a chair.  He would look towards Kiru.  "You want answers to change Your weakness.  I say you find them for yourself, because only then will they be answered.  No one can make you strong but yourself.  Close approximation to power often gives delusions of being powerful.  There for you must do so yourself."

Finally he would turn towards Yorice.  "I know of your wishes.  I have many myself, but I have seen them go unanswered.  Patience is all we can have in these tests of our resolve.  And in time, all desires shall be fulfilled."  He had answered each ninja.  He gave them one more chance to answer what all he had said.  He wanted to address their concerns now, or the rest of the talk would be shadowed by their doubts.

Jutsu used:

Ice would let it sink in before he would look up at his sensei and spoke with words like his name, cold, "Anything you need to discuss with us before I lay down and recuperate my injury?" ice didnt know what to think, but he would do as his sensei wished and commanded as that was expected of him, but he never said he had to like it, so he would wait on Maku's answer

Kiru would wish his chair could spin, so he could think in a rotation. Maku was right, he needed to correct his own weakness. He just wasn't sure how. He also wasn't quite sure what the hell he had done to Daiyuki, but he wasn't going to worry about that now. "I'll trust you're judgement, and i'll try to keep some confidence in my own."

He knew he could protect this village if he worked hard for it. he just needed to get strong enough to do so. He had no idea what Ice would do about leaving the village, but that was all up to him in the end. Kiru would just have to be the best him he could be.

The wolf boy would come to his senses. He was seated in the same chair he had been in since they had arrived at the hospital. However he noticed his mask was not on his face and he could shake the feeling something had transpired. He thought about the "daydream" he had experienced as Maku explained his leaving, the bodies of his comrades, family and him in some weird cage like an animal, Maku yelling at him to tame his inner beast. None of it made any sense. 

Daiyuki struggled to stand, he wobbled over and retrieved his mask.

Placing it on his face, he would then knell in front of his leader. "What is your command" "tell us and allow us to do your bidding" He would say in a tone the was cold but controlled in a sense that his understanding more in tact.  Something had happen in the few second between the slap to Daiyuki's face and the "daydream" he had experienced, some that would've shifted his attitude into a more complete shinobi.

Seeing all eyes back on him and listening Maku continued as planned.  "You three will be the defenders of Yuki in my absence.  Procedures, and defenses will be put into place in the event of an attack to recall me should I be needed.  In the end I do not know the exact time I will leave, or for how long.  For that matter it could never happen.  All the same, there are forces at work stronger than all of us.  The man I follow is twice as powerful as me.....for now."  Maku would say with a slight smirk trying to relieave the tension in the room.

Gods damn it, all this seriousness was weighing on him.  "Look long story short here.  You three will be responsible and accountable for the village in the event I am forced to leave.  Daiyuki, you will be charged with village defenses.  Kiru, you will be in charge of public relations and the people of the village.  Help them with their affairs and have the village continue to run smoothly.  Yorice, you will sit in my chair.  In the end, more information will be made available should the actual need arise.  Until then you are charged with one further mission."

Maku would move to stand in the middle of the room.  Speaking clearly.  "I Maku Jemuzu, Leader of Yukigakure no Sato, here by bestow the title of chunin on Yorice Uchiha, Daiyuki Inozuka, and Kiru Retsuno.  You three will watch over and if necessary give your lives for the people of this village, and see it thrive.  Condition your bodies and minds.  Make yourselves stronger, we are going to need you at your best."  Finishing his formal speech, he tilted his head to the side and smiled, "Any questions?"
