A run sounded great but the way Aya stretched out, Angel was very nervous. Laps didn't seem like it would require this much stretching but Angel knew that if you overexert yourself without stretching you could do serious muscle damage. that was something she didn't want. She had heard of a guy who had pushed himself to much and had ended up almost losing his ability to be a ninja. She couldn't allow that to happen. but still they were just running right?
Aya took off suddenly. Sprinting trying to catch up Angel was out of breath almost immediately. Aya ran like the wind and nothing was easier to her. 'How am I supposed to keep up?' dodging this way and that the loss of oxygen began to effect her vision. Still she pressed on. Aya yelled helpful hints, following them Angel was able to focus bring her heart rate down and slow her breathing. her chakra control allowed her to control her vitals. But the pain was still agonizing. she tried to focus her chakra more on her muscles but wasn't able to summon enough chakra to her legs. She bagan to draw chakra for the host of bugs living in her body. they didn't like that much. she began to feel sick but Aya was watching. Angel was no good with medical ninjutsu quite yet, if she had listen to her mothers teachings she could just focus on repairing the torn tissue in her muscles. She had spent her time as a child learning her puppetry.
Angel began to fall behind. 'I can't make a bad impression' Leaping over a fallen log Angel reached out her Chakra thread and caught an over hanging branch. She wanted to use it as a grip to pull herself forward. but upon trying the tread snapped and she fell rolling back into her run. Her chakra obviously wasn't strong enough yet. She had been proud of her puppet skills. no one in the clan had been able to do what she could. Still running she tried again to catch a branch. Willing her string to be stronger and be able to support more weight. The thread lashed to the tree and she was able to gain a burst of speed for a brief moment. she noticed the thread seemed to split slightly at the end to provide a better grasp. She had almost made up her lost time but her foot slipped on a slick rock. instinctivelyAngel reached out to grab something for support. Her chakra thread caught her she quickly righted herself and continued.
Angel seemed to be slipping into a rhythm. she would focus on running then in bursts would lash to a tree branch and swing the next step or two lowering the trouble with her legs. She was amazed as hse began being able to split the threads into mre sections allowing the thread to catch onto multiple targets. The books she had read never talked about this. All she had to do was focus more chakra into her fingertips and she was able to split he threads all the way down while still retaining the strength of the thread. This could be useful. she would try it on her puppets later. Aya slowed to match her speed which was nice of her. She encouraged her to enjoy the feelings. the earth did feel good on her feet as she ran. Her feet had become hardened almost leathery. she didn't mind though. the sticks under her feet didn't hurt and the stones didn't cut. Running was easier without shoes or sandals. But Aya was right about the wind.
Aya said they had 2 laps left and that they were going to pick up the pace. Angel didn't know if she could go any faster but she would be glad to be done. Angel noticed though that the cool down from exercising was always harder than the actual work itself. Though she didn't know if that was the same for everyone. Angel pushed her self to the max. she slipped into a trance in the middle of the first lap that they picked up speed. she used her threads to a degree that later she would deny being able to use them at. she used them as propulsion as the same time using some threads to attach to her own limbs pulling herself forward. She didn't even try to keep it a secret from Aya. she was beyond comprehensive thought at this point.
Angel finished the runn in a daze. She couldn't even remember the last lap. Or even finishing for that matter. she regained her senses as her body flopped down in the stream that Aya was wading in. Angel was completely soaked but it felt so good. the current of the stream massage her aching body. she had pushed past her limits and her body was punishing her for it. Not only had she been exerting herself running but she was developing a new jutsu at the same time. her body deserved the rest. she let her head sit on a stone holding it just out of the water as she passed out. the last thought that went through her mind was she hoped Aya would pull her out.

Angel woke up very cold and very tired. She struggled to pull her self out of the creek as it slowly rushed by. She was soaked to the bone. Aya stood near by completely oblivious to Angel as she was lying in the water. Angel couldn’t stop shivering. The breeze that felt so good earlier cut through her like a blade. Why hadn’t Aya done anything? If her head had slipped under the water she could be dead right now. Angel was angry, really angry. She was done with Aya. Walking home Angel used her symbiotic insects to wrap her to keep her warm. Her insects seemed to be the only ones there for her. She was glad the insects were there at all times when ever she needed them. Aya…Angel wasn’t sure if she would give Aya another chance. Angel used the bugs to remove as much of the water from her body as she possibly could to reduce the chilling effect the wind, that had picked up, had on her body. She stumbled home in a daze. Her brain had been so deprived of oxygen for a while while she was running. The blood flow trying to address the burning sensation in her muscles. Angel knew she was going to be in pain in the morning. ‘Maybe I will just sleep through tomorrw’ Angel thought to her self. She couldn’t really sleep through the day. She would need to get up and train some more. She didn’t have time to be slow and lazy. She had to work to become the best ninja she could. Which is probably why she would forgive Aya. She didn’t have time to hold grudges.

Aya jumped a little when Angel just dropped right into the stream, but luckily the girl had sense enough to keep her head partially above. She chuckled a little, watching the girl float in the water for several moments until she realized that the hooded girl had actually passed out. Rubbing the back of her neck in remorse, the redhead pulled the other girl towards her and moved her further up onto the bank.
Taking a deep breath, she sent chakra to her hands and focused on changing her chakra into the soothing, cool mint feel that was her medical chakra. When the color changed fully, Aya set about checking the girl for any injuries.
Imagine her surprise when little chakra-eating bugs tried sucking away her medical chakra.
Jerking back with no small amount of shock, Aya lost her focused and her green-coloured chakra fizzled out of existence. For several moments she didn't move, she just stared unblinkingly at the young girl who -apparently- had a hive of kekaichu living inside her body. Shaking herself from her stupor, the young teenage ninja rolled her shoulders and tried again. Focusing her chakra until it glowed green around her hands and setting them above the abdomen of the still-unconscious girl.
Again the kekaichu came and started sucking away the foreign chakra, but after a few moments they seemed to realize that this chakra source wasn't going to hurt their host, and left her be. Sighing in relief, Aya closed her eyes and allowed her chakra to be her eyes.
Her lower torso was fine, just some minor strain from overexertion, and was easy enough to sooth. While she would probably still be sore when she woke up, by tomorrow the pain would barely be there. Moving up to the upper-torso the young medic-in-training checked her lungs and heart -being extra careful about just how much chakra she put into this area, and gently -very gently- probed the area. The lungs had been overstretched a bit, but the heart was fine with no damage, and it took several minutes to repair the damage. While the lungs would of healed on their own, it would have been a bother, and slightly painful, for Angel to breath for the next week or so if she didn't go to the hospital. Now, she would just feel a light burn for the next few hours until her mind realized her lungs weren't damaged anymore.
The redheaded ninja didn't even try checking the girls brain, she wasn't at that level just yet. But a quick check on her arms and shoulders showed little damage and it was easy to sooth whatever minor stiffness there would have been. Though there were some curios chakra burns at the tips of Angel's fingers, but focused mostly on healing those. While they were a little trickier to heal and sooth, she just observed her chakra as it naturally sped up the healing process and took note of what happened and tucked away that information for a later date.
With that done, Aya moved down to the legs with her eyes still closed in concentration. Her breath left her in a burst of air as she 'saw' what had happened to the muscles and tendons. Sucking in a bout of oxygen, Aya sent a silent apology to the girl for forcing her so far past her limits. Mentally buckling down, the young medic-to-be set about the task to healing what damage she would to the best of her abilities.
She worked diligently and silently as she knitted back torn nerves, strained tendons and damaged muscles. Soothing and relaxing the area she worked to avoid cramping and spasms while she worked. To be honest Aya was surprised the girl had kept going with this amount of damage her legs had gone through. The pain must have been horrible, but perhaps she hadn't noticed? Maybe she had been so focused on whatever she had been doing to cause those chakra burns on her fingers that she didn't notice what was happening to her lower limbs. A thorough check to the bones yielded satisfying results. No damage that she could find. Which was a relief.
The blood vessels on the other hand... were not so relieving.
There were arteries stretched and veins burst and capillaries popped. Aya focused on the bleeding areas first, which took the lions share of her focus. She couldn't risk a mistake here. Sweat dripped down her face and rolled down her neck to be soaked by her clothing, her breathing was steady only through long hours of practice in meditation, and she couldn't feel any other part of her body except for her hands. Which were pumped full of carefully controlled medical chakra, so maybe that didn't count.
Next, she fixed the vessels that suffered stretch and strain, which were notably easier but just as delicate to fix. When they were finished, she checked the sockets for the knees and ankles and found -surprisingly enough- only minor damage. She was dully aware of some dull ache in her abdomen, where her chakra coils were located, but her focus was quickly reverted back to finishing her full-body check-over and repair. Finally, it was Angels feet to check up.
And Angels feet were... perfectly... okay. There was no damage to her soles, which were bare but surprisingly tough as leather, and no damage to blood or bone to be seen. Her feet were a perfect picture of health, which was sort of strange but pleasing nonetheless.
Finally, she was done, but when she pulled away and cancelled the technique her chakra snapped back so quickly that Aya was physically jerked backwards as though struck. Dazed and surprised, Aya couldn't even begin to recover her senses as she fell back and hit the ground with a heavy thud resonating through the air. The air left her lungs, and her mind was muddled and in shambles. Her vision span and she couldn't tell up from down. The backlash from her chakra had really sent her reeling, and the redhead realized with no small amount of chagrin that she had just practically made herself an invalid from chakra depletion. Her breaths were ragged and fast, and she couldn't breath in deeply enough to actually think.
For the next several minutes she spent just trying to steady her breathing into some semblance of rhythm. When she managed that, she slowly sat up even though her body screamed at her to get back down and when she managed to sit back up fully her vision swam with black dots for several seconds. Her breathing was coming out a little fast again, but as she looked down at her 'patient'who was notably more relaxed and decidedly less uncomfortable, Aya can't say she regrets her actions. Slowly shuffling and edging to where her shoes were, the redhead went to the waters edge and took greedy gulps of the cool and refreshing water.
She was vaguely aware that Angel had woken up and was leaving, but by gods she was thirsty. When she was finally finished, the hooded girl was gone, and Aya couldn't help but be a little hurt by that. But it had gotten late, now that she looked around and noticed her vision was seriously reduced. It was surprisingly late. How long had she been performing the Mystical Palm Technique? Shaking her head slowly, her head felt like it was underwater and her body was heavy like lead.
Maybe Angel had left without a word because she had to get home? That seemed most likely, and she knew one of her relatives would be looking for her at this time. Tugging on her shoes with absolutely no grace or fluidity whatsoever, she simply stayed where she was seated and waited for a relative to pick her up.
The one to find her was her mothers sisters second husbands sons uncle on his mothers side. Which was basically a second uncle of some sort for Aya herself. He was a retired shinobi, having suffered some serious damage to his spine that -while perfectly healed- could be lethally dangerous if it was damaged again. He landed next to her, since he had been jumping through the sparse trees not far away from where she was, and Aya didn't even have the energy to react beyond a half-lidded look towards her relative.
"Your chakra is dangerously low" he stated blankly. He wasn't the sort to beat around the bush. Very professional, he was. She nodded mutely, and he wordlessly picked her up bridal style, and Aya couldn't even muster up a small quip about the situation. Instead, she fell unconscious as soon as her head touched his shoulder.
