Such a Coincidence (P, NK)
Wed Oct 08, 2014 5:06 pm
As Kemuri were to walk around the village, he would think of the battle he had had with Kenshin, Tank, and Ryusei not too long ago in the village training grounds. He had become quite a bit more powerful from this battle, by his standards anyway, and ever since had desired to become much stronger, hopefully to beyond Kenshin's level, or at the least equaling it. Walking by the commercial section of the village, he would essentially ignore every vendor that tried getting his attention, swiping a piece of fruit from a stand as he went, clearly being far superior in speed to that villager, essentially making his movements near-invisible to him. He would lower his mask for a moment, raising his hand to his mouth, he would take a bite of the fruit, realizing that his selection of food was horrible, spitting it out and quickly raising the mask back over his face, making sure no-one could get a good look at him. -I suppose I should attempt to find those three again. I haven't felt the way I did during that battle since my time in the Iburi compound- He thought, remembering the one time he had trained with the clan head, who was still quite a bit more powerful than Kenshin currently is. Regardless, he wasn't using his full capabilities when fighting Kemuri, and so was roughly the same difficulty for him to fight. Making his way down the street, Kemuri would exit the commercial area of the village and would now be near the gate, walking out and continuing down the road where he would eventually come across the path to the training grounds.
Kemuri turned down the path, walking for a couple minutes before he came across the fence to the training grounds, entering and noticing a great deal of ninja there, most of which being genin or academy students that had nothing else to do, just as he was. Of course, he was doing all of this under the assumption that the three would be at the training grounds as they were before since that's pretty much where the determined ninja spent all of their time when they weren't on missions, all of which Kemuri pegging for determined, especially Kenshin. Looking around the training grounds for any sign of the three, he would find nothing, sighing before he began to walk towards one of the edges of the training grounds, deciding this was where he would begin to train for the day, looking around to make sure he wasn't too close to anyone else's training as he had no intention of accidentally being harmed or starting a fight with another ninja. He began his training in a different way than he usually did, by using taijutsu and dummies. It was the first time he had ever done so outside of the compound and so felt a bit odd doing so, his muscles feeling as though they hadn't been actually used to their full extent for a very long time. Regardless, he began by striking a dummy, causing no damage whatsoever as he would completely expect. It wasn't the goal of the training to harm the dummies however, it was simply to get him used to fighting with taijutsu again, as he was now considerably faster than he was just a few days ago from this extensive training he had been going through. After the strike, he would begin to circle the dummy, hitting it with somewhat pinpointed strikes as he went, mainly aiming for the neck, face, and groin, as he knew he was far too weak to do any real damage to stronger opponents if he struck in places that were not sensitive. It was his belief that a ninja should use every advantage they had to defeat their opponent, hence why he used his smoke transformation so often. While the ability was rather useful for him, it also came with it's downsides, such as the obvious death by wind thing. Regardless, taijutsu wasn't exactly Kemuri's strongest point, leading the training to not really be doing much for him, though he was still decent at it with how fast he was in comparison to everything else about him. To even his own surprise, though, he had gotten two and a half times faster than he was just a few days prior, however being incapable of actually knowing for a fact he was two and a half times faster since... well, that was difficult to just know off the top of your head.
After the taijutsu training, he would simply look around for a bit, being rather disappointed that he hadn't seen any of the three he had trained with earlier, as he planned for another heavy day of training with them. Looking about the training grounds a bit more, he would see a tree, specifically the one he had been in the day he met the other three ninja, near the middle of the field. As this was the place he had seen them before, he felt it would be a good place to try to see them again if they were actually in the training grounds, just not visible from where he was. Walking towards the tree, he would note that the wind was blowing slightly, causing him to instinctually tense up. However, he had nothing to fear of the natural wind now, as he was essentially immune to it, his smoke form being far more stable than it was before. In fact it was more stable than was even necessary to resist it. Upon reaching the tree, Kemuri promptly jumped to the lowest branch where he would use the surface walking technique to begin his way up the rest of the tree, perching upon a higher up branch and watching over the grounds for some time, hoping they would show up some time throughout the rest of the day.

Exiting his home Kenshin would slowly proceed through the uchiha district, small children running to him and yelling at him to play with them as he had reluctantly done very few times, something the children enjoyed seeing how he was such an impressive youth in their eyes and in the eyes of their parents. Shaking his head and raising his hand the children would sigh and turn to begin walking away before Kenshin called out to them say "Watch this" causing them all to turn at once to look upon him as he performed a single handseal, the children's faces growing with excitement as he inhaled a large amount of air before releasing a constantly flow of flames into the air, being very careful not to light anything nearby with the blaze. This being a very weak jutsu in comparison with nearly all of his arsenal it would not seem very impressive to any shinobi but to the children it was truly a grand spectacle to behold. The children now laughing and running off, excited for the day they could do things such as that Kenshin would peer towards them, a small smile on his face as he continued walking. It was true, Kenshin had become a much kinder soul than what he once was, no longer feeling the hatred towards others that he did not now. Sadly however this kindness and humanity he had gained over the past months was only held together by a thread, only needing a large enough disturbance to cause that dilicate personality to snap and send him spiraling back down into the hatred that most uchiha carried within them. Only taking him a few minutes walk he would eventually come upon the training grounds, slowly looking around at the many shinobi spread across the field it was honestly rather annoying having to train in front of so many. Slowly making his way to the center he would simply take a seat and cross his legs as he began focusing chakra throughout his body and channeling it to his left hand. Forming several handseals he would slowly extend his arm and after several seconds slam his palm on the ground causing smoke to erupt from under his palm and surround his form. It was only after the smoke cleared that it was clear that absolutely nothing had occured and Kenshin truly looked like a moron in front of a large group of people "Shit" he spoke under his breath as his head was held low and he simply looked at his left palm trying to understand why the jutsu had not worked.

Tank would be walking along the long dirt trail toward the training grounds. There was a nice breeze blowing today and it made Tank a bit happy as he knew it would make his training feel a bit easier. While he walked he thought of the last time he was at the training grounds. It was him and Ryusei at first. A spar in which he lost without even getting a single hit in. Thyen after that it was himself, Ryusei, and the new comer Kemuri all against Kenshin Uchiha. Even with the advantage of numbers they all lost rather easily compared to Kenshin. While Tank continued to walk along the trail he thought to himself How could someone of the same age as them be so much stronger than all three of them put together? Was the Uchiha clan that much more powerful than anyone else or did Kenshin really work that hard? All of these things driving Tank into a deep thought process that put him on what wold seem to be a sort of auto-pilot. Feeling the crunch of grass beneath his feet his mind snapped out of the sort of trance he had placed on himself. "Hmm I'm already here." The whole while there Tank had been thinking about how strong Kenshin was and he could have possibly obtained that power at such a relatively young age. Determined to catch up to Kenshin in any way he could he decided to ramp up hi training regimen to a whole new level. now he had to do was find a way to do it in a way that he would stay focused and interested for long periods of time. Tank would head out into the training field where there was already a fairly large amount of his fellow ninja training. Simply wandering around a bit before finding a fairly open area to work with Tank began to set up shop so to speak. He would take off his large shirt and toss it on the ground next to a tree nearby. Now shirtless and slightly sweaty from the long walk to the training grounds Tank began doing some stretches to loosen himself up for whatever training he decided on doing.

Kemuri sat on the branch of the tree he was in, watching over the training grounds from roughly fifty feet in the air. It wasn't long after he had initially gone into the tree that he noticed Kenshin arrive and begin to practice something he didn't recognize, a puff of smoke showing that it was clearly a jutsu of some sort. Kemuri leaned forward in wonder at what it was he was doing, only to realize that nothing at all had occurred. -Must be practicing a new jutsu- he thought as he leaned back in the branch. That was one of the two he had been waiting on, but he wasn't quite ready to practice with Kenshin on his own, that is even if Kenshin were to actually be willing to train him and Tank. Shortly after noticing Kenshin, Kemuri saw Tank come into the training grounds from a different way than Kenshin had, apparently not noticing him, as he made no reaction whatsoever to Kenshin's presence. Watching Tank now, he would see him take off his shirt for whatever reason and begin to stretch, presumably for upcoming training of a physical manner, which came as no surprise whatsoever. Now that both the people he were expecting to show up were now there he would somewhat slowly begin a descent down the tree, dropping from branch to branch although he could have easily just jumped from the top to the ground. He did this slowly so that he could watch what the two were to do as he went, hoping they were to do something of interest that would be reasonable to grab someone's attention with since he didn't want to seem like he was stalking either of them if he were to just show up out of nowhere with nothing bringing attention to them. The beginning of this encounter was sure to be somewhat awkward though, as Kemuri didn't have too much experience in speaking with others. Regardless, he made his way down the tree and simply stood at it's base, watching the two as they were to do their training or whatever it was they were planning to do, quite obviously training though.

Silently pouting at his failure Kenshin would slowly stand, patting his cloak to try and get the dirt off of it as he slowly began walking towards the treeline. It was when he arrived, being only five meters from the first of the trees that he would raise his hand to massage his chin lightly as he thought of what to do next. Only taking him a few moments of thought he decided it would be best to add more water style jutsu to his arsenal. Raising his hands to chest height he would form the tiger handseal and began focusing chakra in his gut, trying to mold his chakra perfectly and after only a few seconds his head would lurch forward as he spewed out a small weak stream of water that only went a foot from his mouth before flopping to the ground, soaking the dirt. Holding the tiger seal he would continue performing the jutsu repeatedly until eventually it was powerful enough to strike on of the trees and leave a small scratch, showing that it had some cutting ability. Walking closer to inspect he would smile before backing away to his old position again, forming the tiger handseal again as he began molding his chakra, increasing its volume greatly compared to the previous attempts. His head remaining stationary he would fire out a powerful stream of water that would quickly rip through the trunk of the tree and with a quick turn of his head it would slice through multiple others off to the right causing multiple to come crashing to the ground, forcing a dirt cloud to rise several meters, a rather powerful show of skill compared to what the other shinobi in the field were doing. Easily grabbing the attention of multiple people, some showing surprise and others showing frustration he would smile at his work, knowing he had accomplished a rather difficult task with ease.

Tank continued to stretch preparing himself for what he was planning on making a rather heavy training day. Finally warmed up and stretched out Tank began performing several series of kicks in rapid succession. In an attempt to broaden his taijutsu skills Tank decided he needed to learn more ways of attacking other than just charging his target like a bull. While performing these kicks he had found a few combos that he liked and was going to try out in a spar sometime. His favorite however was a combo where he would throw a high kick in an attempt to divert the targets attention high while he throws another lower kick that would hit the target who was preoccupied with the high kick, at least that was the idea anyway. After doing his kicks for several minutes Tank would hear a loud crashing sound come from across the training grounds. Turning to look and see what was going on Tank saw a large cloud of dirt rising into the air and several trees laying on the ground. Wondering who was responsible for the commotion Tank looked around and saw a familiar figure standing near the now spreading dirt cloud "Kenshin..." Tank then began walking across the training grounds toward Kenshin

Seeing as it was nearly impossible to not notice in the rather quiet training grounds, Kemuri would hear the sounds of the trees snapping and falling over as well as seeing them. "Impressive." He said to himself as he watched the water come spewing from Kenshin's mouth with enough force to destroy several tree trunks. This was clearly something that Kenshin would expect to bring some attention to himself, and thus Kemuri set out from the trunk of the tree he was currently standing beside and towards Kenshin. As he wasn't very far away, Kemuri got relatively close in just a few moments, making no real welcoming gestures as he stopped fairly close by. "Kenshin, was it?" He said to him, standing a good five or so feet from him, his expression being one of complete neutrality. "I'd like to request your aid in my training, if you would." Kemuri stated to Kenshin as he maintained his position and stance, him standing straight up with no slump in his shoulders and very little curvature in his back, something he picked up from his father who felt it very important to have the mannerisms of that of a nobleman, seeing as he was never a ninja himself. "I couldn't help but think of how much more powerful you were than the three of us fighting you last we met while I was in the village and came out here in hopes that you and possibly the others would be here training. I would like to train with you and the others again, though I only saw Tank, whom I believe is on his way over, and you." He would say, turning in the direction of where Tank were coming from and looking at him.

Hearing the patting of footsteps on the grass Kenshin would slowly turn around to see a rather familiar shinobi, Kemuri, the one with the rather odd ability to change his body into smoke, a technique Kenshin thought must be a fairly large annoyance for anybody in the future that attempted to seriously battle him. Looking at him as he approached and spoke he caught the image of Tank approaching behind Kemuri some distance away still. What a coincidence that the three of them would all have been at the training grounds at the same time and guessing by their appearance that they, just like him were still very lively, likely not getting too far into their training. "My aid, what exactly would you mean?" he said wondering if Kemuri wished to be teached or once again spar with him, something that would likely just end the way it had last time seeing how neither of them had much time to really improve. "I suppose I could train with the two of you for now, but I do hope that the two of you have improved quite a lot in the short time since we have last seen each other". Kenshin would simply wait for Kemuri to reply and for Tank to get to them as he had nothing more to speak of, only to wait and hope he would get more of a challenge out of them both.

Walking across the training grounds toward Kenshin Tank could see Kemuri also heading over toward Kenshin. How odd it was that the three of them would all be at the training grounds at the same time yet again. That did however show Tank that they were just as determined to getting stronger as he is. He couldn't help but notice how Kemuri stood very rigid and confident infront of Kenshin who had very recently defeated him and two others at the same time. Soon reaching a spot near Kemuri to his left and facing Kenshin Tank would say "Hey guys. How is it going?" Then standing and waiting for someone to answer and listen to what Kenshin and Kemuri had already began speaking about.
