Re: Such a Coincidence (P, NK)

Kemuri lied in the semi-dry grass of the part of the training grounds he was in, the entire portion of the training grounds they had been training in looking like something out of a movie. A huge portion of the training grounds was essentially covered in charcoal, the grass and trees being completely burnt out while another area directly next to it were flooded from massive amounts of water training, along with a previous rain storm which had made the entire grounds and part of the village itself damp. Sitting up a little, he would look ahead at Tank who had continued to practice his taijutsu, and to Kemuri, was getting quite good at a remarkable pace. It was strange to Kemuri to feel this way about anyone, usually viewing them as less than him no matter what they seemed capable of doing, and had even believed this just the other day when the three along with Ryusei were sparing with each other. Unbeknownst to Kemuri, he had begun to form bonds with both Tank and Kenshin; the first time he had done so since that day when he watched all of his childhood friends get blown away with the wind. Suppressing this memory for the time being, Kemuri would lean all the way up before standing and looking up to Kenshin in the tree, still lying on his back, seemingly either asleep or just not paying any attention whatsoever. Looking down at the ground, he would remember that he hadn't really done much in the way of training his earth based jutsu. -I imagine I should get to work on that.- He thought as he began to walk a little away towards a slightly less damp plot of ground where the grass had had a difficult time growing, a good spot to practice in the use of earth jutsu. Thinking back on the huge wall of water he had made just minutes ago, he figured he may as well have a jutsu that did a similar effect, but with earth rather than water. Drawing out how he would accomplish this in his head, he imagined something that wouldn't just be useful in protecting himself, but rather a large area. The main purpose of this idea was that he could make some sort of defense that would defend large structures or those that were incapable of making structures to protect themselves. Looking at the ground and then up into the sky, he would get the rough size he wanted. It was enough to cover just about any structure he came across, excluding ones such as the kage's mansions, though those weren't likely to be destroyed any time soon.
The jutsu now mapped out in his mind, he would begin to focus chakra into his feet, using them as the conduit between his chakra and the ground, which he were about to try and move a large amount of. Molding his chakra into a more concentrated form, though that would make him able to do less overall, he began to pour it into the ground and a few feet ahead of him. His first try was somewhat successful, as he rose a chunk of the ground about the size of what Tank had been making his dummies out of. However, the piece that was risen was much wider than what Tank was doing, roughly three meters wide and two meters tall, making a rounded off rectangle of solid stone directly in front of Kemuri. Putting his hand to his chin, Kemuri thought of what he had just done. The wall was too small, too thin, crumbling a bit as it stood, and wasn't even squared off. Truly one of his worst creations thus far, though he knew it would improve drastically as he continued to perform it over and over. Taking some steps back, he would run as fast as he could towards the wall and jump, kicking it with all of his force, which wasn't much to say the least. The wall still fell however from this attack, Kemuri crashing through what seemed to just be hardened dirt, the wall crumbling around him, hardly anything worth being used to defend one's self. Kemuri knew this though, and was simply trying to clear the way for another attempt, ready to throw in some hand signs, as he wasn't going to forget the importance of them since the drastic improvement over his last jutsu from simply adding in two more. Stepping back a little, Kemuri would once more concentrate his chakra and this time begin to perform several seals with his hands: tiger, hare, boar, dog. Flowing his chakra out of his feet and into the ground now, the ground would rumble a bit before a much larger wall would start to raise from the ground. The ground roughly a meter in front of him would begin to raise, the dimensions being about eight meters tall and twelve meters wide, the thickness of the wall being around two feet thick. A much better show of how well the jutsu were to become with further practice. Stepping back and looking around at the wall, it still was crumbling a bit around the edges, though the main wall was fairly sturdy in appearance. It even looked a little better in the sense of it being more squared off around the edges. Somewhat satisfied with this, he left it standing for when he needed a comparison to what the wall were going to become later on.
Having been slightly mislead into believing that adding more seals to a jutsu would make it more powerful alone, he turned in the opposite direction of the wall he had just made and once more began to concentrate the chakra and perform seals, performing the seals he did last time along with adding on two more at the end before flowing his chakra into the ground and performing the jutsu again. To Kemuri's surprise, the wall rose once more and didn't get any larger or more solid. Looking over the wall in a perplexed fashion, he walked to it and rose his hand, rubbing it a little. It were solid, though it didn't seem complete. He knew he could make it greater, but he weren't sure how to do so for the time being. Perhaps he just needed to rather than concentrate his chakra, flow less concentrated chakra into it, but in mass quantities. Unfortunately, he had used a rather large portion of his chakra in the short period of time in which he had been training, and knew that he would need to rest up some before once more attempting to master this jutsu, which surprisingly enough to him, was eluding him quite well.

After raising the earthen dummy Tank would look around to see what Kemuri and and Kenshin were doing. He would notice Kemuri began to move from his spot on the ground, but he wasn't paying any particular attention to Tank. Then Kenshin was still laying on a branch in a tree off to the side of the training grounds. Deciding to just continue his taijutsu training Tank turned back toward the dummy he had created a few moments ago. Thinking about the idea he had come up with just a few moments ago Tank decided to try and put it into action. Taking his agressive fighting stance again he would then burst forward toward the dummy. As he reached the dummy Tank would lower his body and twist his body around in a spinning motion. Extending his left leg as he spun around it would make contact with the bottom of the dummy. Cracking apart and begining fly away and upward as it had before Tank would thrust his right leg upward and into the dummy. A loud smacking noise could be heard when his foot made contact with the dummy and launched it high into the air. This was when Tank's idea came into play. Quickly gathering himself and jumping up into the air following directly under the dummy Tank would position himself in a way that he was right under the dummy in mid air. Thinking to himself that this could be ued in combat as an advantage once he knocked the opponent into the air. Imagining the dummy as a real opponent Tank would begin throwing punches and knees at the dummy in spots he knew were vulnerable. Particularly targeting the area that the kidneys were in as he knew from experience that that hurts a lot. Once making contact several times the dummy began to break apart and Tank wold finih up by lifting his leg up and kicking off of the dummy back down toward the ground. As he did thi the dummy would finish breaking apart in mid air and Tank landed safely back on the ground. This was a technique he had only tried once, but he felt confident and knew it could only get better as he did more often.
Once Tank gathered himslef on the ground bit and pieces of dirt began showering the area from the dummy he had destroyed mid air. Looking around the area again Tank noticed something that wasn't there before. A couple rather large wall made of earth had appeared on the training grounds. Noticing Kemuri near them he could only assume it was his doing. Walking toward Kemuri and his earth walls Tank inpected them with a few pokes and pushes. They were very solid to say the least. Reaching Kemuri Tank would look the walls up and down again before turning toward him and say "Nice, did you get this idea from the water one you did earlier?"

Kemuri had been standing near the walls for a few moments before he noticed Tank out of the corner of his eye looking toward him, shortly afterwards speaking. "Oh, these? Yeah, figured I may as well have a similar jutsu in my main element. Just seemed like a sensible thing to do." He said, before leaning over, stretching a bit as he waited for his chakra reserves to build back up, trying to stall while Tank was interested in speaking." "I could always teach you how to do either of those if you want. But first I need to master this one." He said before walking over to and leaning on the wall he just made. Leaning against it for a while unless Tank continued to speak with him, he would feel his chakra network begin to fill back up with chakra, enough to continue the training he was doing. Walking a good distance away from the walls, as they were quite large and didn't leave much room to do them one after the other right beside each other. Stopping a good 20 meters from the walls he had just made, Kemuri would look up towards the sky, imagining the wall reaching about 20 meters up and being 20 meters wide. "Alright, time to do this right." He said before he began to focus the chakra from his chakra network into the ground, the chakra flowing about a meter away from himself before performing the seals for the jutsu. At first nothing happened, as Kemuri was used to not having to use so much chakra, him condensing it before hand earlier. After realizing that he hadn't had his chakra concentrated though, he began to pour increasingly large amounts of chakra into it, still hardly anything happening. The ground rumbled slightly as his chakra were forcing it up, but it still just wasn't enough chakra to lift the massive slab of earth which he had been trying to lift out of the ground. A look of exertion would come across his face as he began to quickly shoot out mass quantities from his body into the ground, the earth rumbling more and more violently before a huge wall began to raise from the ground. The wall raising from the ground would cause dirt and small stones to shoot up from the ground and into the air, dirt showering over a good portion of the training grounds. A large portion of the ground in front of him would shoot up, the dimensions of the slab raising from the ground being 20 meters by 20 meters and the wall being roughly a meter thick. If not for the grass and dirt at the top of the wall, it would seem as though an obelisk had risen from the ground, near perfectly squared edges and either side of it being composed of a smooth brownish stone. Putting his hands down and looking up at the much larger wall he had just made in comparison to the others he created just a short while ago, it was something of considerably higher quality than what was just ten meters behind him. Turning around to face Tank and possibly Kenshin if he happened to be in that direction. Putting his hands on the back of his head in slight exhaustion, he would look at Tank. "Well, I must say I've learned more today than I have in my entirety of being a ninja so far." Kemuri said with a slightly visible smile through his mask.

Reaching Kemuri and speaking to him he could see that Kemuri was focusing slightly on something else other than Tank. Although he coukld tell Kemuri was multi-tasking a bit he got an answer anyway. Listening as Kemuri offered to teach him the two technique Tank had witnessed him perform earlier after he completed the earth wall of course. Tank answered back saying "I appreciate it. I would really like to learn the earth wall jutsu you've been doing." Noticing Kemuri was now attempting another go at the earth wall justu Tank would step back and watch memorizing the hand seals he was performing so he would know them once Kemuri attempted to teach him the jutsu. Watching Kemuri focus showed that this jutsu wasn't very easy to perform and would most likely take Tank a while to learn. Soon enough after Kemuri began attempting the jutsu he could hear some rumbling from under the ground. Nothing had ahappened yet until Kemuri showed a bit of strain. Then suddenly a giant wall of earth would erupt out of the ground only a few meters infront of him and Kemuri. This wall was much different however and looked far more polished than the last two attempts that stood near it. The wall was twenty meters tall and twenty meters wide with perfectly flat and solid edges. It looked like something that a bunker would be built with to be honest. Tank walked up the wall and gave it a good punch to test it strengh. The wall was as strong as it looked because it didn't even crack a little bit. Turning toward Kemuri again he would lsiten to him speak before replying "Yeah, same here. It seems like I'm finally on the path I've wanted to be on."

Standing in front of the wall and turning his head back towards Tank as he spoke, Kemuri realized that he had completely forgotten Tank was speaking to him before trying to make the wall once more. Turning the rest of his body towards Tank, he looked him in the eye as though he was aware of his presence the entire time. "I'd say I'm happy with the way my progress is going these past few days. Anyway, let's teach you how to make this wall." Kemuri said before stepping forward towards Tank. "First of all, I imagined what I was wanting the wall to look like, size and all as I began to use my chakra. You know how to use your earth chakra to manipulate the earth, so really it just comes down to doing that except on a much larger scale. Oh, and I don't know if this was just me or not, but concentrating my chakra didn't help." Kemuri said, trying as best he could to lecture Tank on how to use the jutsu, though he was an awful teacher since he was a natural at all of this so far. Having nothing really more to do but watch Tank's progress in the jutsu if he were to attempt it, he would walk a short distance away and sit, his legs crossed as he watched him. "Oh, and don't forget those seals. That's why the water one got so much better so fast."

Watching as Kemuri finished up on his jutsu and turned around looking Tank directly in his eyes. Kemuri then began to respond and explain how he had tried to do the jutsu. Unerstanding most of what Kemuri was saying to him about the jutsu Tank then replied "I'm not really trying to attempt the jutsu right now, but I appreciate the explanation. Maybe you cold go into more detail another time and we'll practice it." Throwing a quick glance over toward Kenshin to see if he was moving or watching them at all before looking back to Kemuri. Tank decided he needed to get back to his training, but was tired of beating on the dummy for now. "Hey Kemuri would you want to do a quick spar so we can test what we've learned so far in combat?"

Whilst sitting, Kemuri began to day dream for almost a whole second before Tank quickly denied him that privilege, telling him he didn't feel like trying to get the jutsu ready for use and instead asking if he wished to battle him in a spar real quick. Looking to Tank from his day dreaming position, him looking slightly off to the side, he quickly stood, the dirt, or rather mud at this point, sticking to his pants and coloring them a dark shade of brown all along the back of his legs. "I guess I'm up for a quick bout. Hell, I'll even only use taijutsu this time around. I need to work on that anyway," Kemuri said "So what, you take that side, I'll take this one?" He said while he pointed out each individual's starting location for the spar they were about to have, both spots being patches of dirt from when the grass was raised by both of their earth jutsu earlier in the day. Neither spot had the advantage of the sun being in the opponent's eyes, as that was incredibly dishonorable to Kemuri, and it just brought up the memory of Hero's spar with him not so long ago, once again making him cringe with anger before suppressing the thought.

Watching as Kemuri looked a bit dazed before reacting and listening to what Tank had to say Tank ould watch him pop up out of his seat on the ground. Kemuri and Tank were both almost completely covered in mud standing there in front of each other. Kemuri then answered saying he would spar with Tank and even only use taijutsu. Tank smiled a bit and took toward the location Kemuri had pointed for his starting position to be. Starring straight at Kemuri as he moved toward the area he would point out for himself. Noticing that both spots were equally footed and neither of them had a real advantage Tank could see that Kemuri truly intended for this spar to be as fair as possible between the two of them. Whenever Kemuri reached his spot Tank would take his newer aggresive fighting stance and ask Kemuri "Are you ready?" If Kemuri answered and said he was ready then Tank would begin moving toward as fast as he could building up his momentum before he could reach max speed. While moving toward Kemuri tank didn't raise and arm to telegraph his attack like he had done so many times before. He know realised that he needed to do quick sudden strikes if he was ever going to land an attack on someone. Watching Kemuri carefully as he approached to make sure he didn't get coutered too easily.

Kemuri turned around and made his way to the spot he had pointed out a moment ago, looking at Tank, he would respond with "I'm ready." before he slightly changed his stance to that of a more agile form, his limbs positioned closer to his body and his knees bent slightly. Certainly nothing ground-breaking in the taijutsu business, but it was the best stance he had for now. Watching Tank begin to run forward, he would lean back a bit, running backwards somewhat slowly to him as he observed Tank's movements. Tank was definitely faster than he were the last time they met, but so was Kemuri. Based off of just the beginning movements, Kemuri knew that he were quite severely faster than Tank was for now, obviously preparing to use this to his advantage as he turned his body to the side and maintained his current speed, but going in a sort of circle around the training grounds, tank now getting fairly close to him at this point. -Probably not my best idea- Kemuri thought to himself as he began to run faster now, Tank very near him while he sped up. -Why the hell would I just let him get that close without having any plan?- He thought to himself, clearly noting that he had already made a mistake with the use of his taijutsu only fighting.

Tank was running toward Kemuri and noticed that he had started running backward and away from him. As Tank ran at him he noticed that Kemuri was taking them in a rather large circle around the training grounds. Tank did however make up a bit of ground before Kemuri obviously decided he had gotten to close and bolted off from him. As Kemuri started to pull away from Tank even though he was now at his top speed Tank decided to try his luck and see if he could get a hand or actually a foot on Kemuri before he got too far away from him. Being nearly ten meters away from Kemuri Tank began flooding his body with chakra. Tank would burst forward at more than double his max speed most likely closing the gap between him and Kemuri. If he successfully did so then he would quickly throw an attack toward Kemuri. The first being a high kick toward his face to grab his attention and distract him from the real attack. That was followed by a lower kick near Kemuri's mid section this. The first attack was more of a fake out and wasn't intended to do much if any damage, but the second attack that was hopefully hidden by the first was coming at Kemuri with Tank's full strength behind it. This was one of Tank taijutus techniques that he had recently begun practicing and now it was time to see how it would fair against someone of equal abilities to him.
