Watching Arata jump up and down brought a bright peal of laughter from his mother as she dispelled the Rain jutsu with a single motion of her hands. The clouds that had darkened above them receded to their normal position, growing light as they swperated into different wisps from their brethren. The sun shone brightly once more, already working to dry off Akihana and Fenn and glimmering brightly off the handle of Arata's little umbrella.
"Well, I don't think we'll be needing that. "The kunoichi declared, walking over to her son and taking the umbrella, closing it with a snap and handing it back to the young boy. At this point, Fenn drew closer to the duo and stated he had to show her something. The indication that it was not safe for Arata's eyes was also clear. This left the blonde in a bit of a dilemma. If the redhead was saying the sight was not fit for Arata, she believed him. But the only place to leave her son would be either the prison offices or drop him home on their way to wherever Fenn was going to take her.
Thinking for a minute, the kunoichi fingered the small crystal vial of blood around her neck, taking it off its chain and gathering a drop from the minuscule container. Pressing her thumb to the ground, the medic summoned Lilia who appeared in a puff of smoke, one of her cubs hanging by his teeth from one of her ears while she c carefully held the other one in her mouth.
Depositing both her cubs on the ground, the fox simply looked at Akihana waiting for directions.
"Lilia, hi," the blonde greeted, kneeling down to scratch the female fox behind the ear. "Could you please take Arata back to the kitsune mountains? I'll be there to get him as soon as I'm done. Arata, go with Lilia, she'll take you to Lady Inari. Be good for the foxes, darling." A soft kiss on his head later, her son and disappearing along with the summon, leaving Akihana and Fenn alone.
"So, what's this mysterious thing you have to show me?" she asked, her curiosity evident in her tone as her golden eyes studied his carefully.

Fen would use the summoning jutsu, and focused in on the mark he had left on Inijo when they were training, the body of the dead boy suddenly appearing in front of them and Fen would stand up and looked up at Akihana "This is the boy who was training with me the day of the attack, where Something important to me was stolen, now my studies in the ANBU Archives reveals he was of a clan known for Plants, called the Senju, now I don't know how you or anyone else would feel about it, but I would like to obtain this power, so that I can help to protect everyone I possibly can, what do you say Aki, can you help transfer this kids Kidney over with one of mine?" Fen had to ask and know if he could obtain such a power from this kid, if so, he knew he would be able to protect everyone he cared about a lot better then he could right now, he would look to Akihana with pleading eyes, thankful that Arata had left with the foxes as not to see the dead body, and not to mention himself begging Akihana to help him obtain more power

Watching Fenn, the kunoichi blinked as he summoned what appeared to be a person. Pale eyelashes fluttering with the action, Akhana's first instinct was to heal the boy, her hands automatically reaching to form mystical palm only to take in the body properly and realize that it was, in fact, too late. The corpse was long dead, his body preserved in good condition though as would be expected from someone of Fenn's rank and knowledge level. The blonde did not ask how this kid had died. If Fenn was the one to kill him, she did not want to know. Akihana had always had faith that Fenn wouldn't hurt anyone just to obtain spoils from their body. It was something she held on to though perhaps naively. And if this was evidence that she had been wrong, the medic did not want ti confirmed, not just yet.
The young woman listened with only half an ear as the redhead talked of the Senju clan. She and Fenn has never discussed where she was before Kumo so he probably didn't know that she was quiet familiar with the clan and their bloodline limit. He certainly did not know that she had access to the bloodline ready on demand, the excess she had tried to protect all these years. Unbidden, a swirl of dark hair came to mind, obsidian eyes scorching into her own golden orbs.
"Autumn colored," she could almost feel the whisper on her cool skin.
Shaking her head, the blonde dispelled the memory. There was no point now. The reminder of her mistake only served as just that, a reminder. And Akihana was a personal witness to how a mistaken, with enough love and care bestowed upon it, could become the greatest gift in one's life.
"We need... a room," she murmured, golden eyes still trapped as they gazed at the body in front of her, everything inside her hoping the boy had passed peacefully and without pain. Perhaps his death had been instant. Maybe he hadn't felt a thing before the fetal blow hit. "T-to prepare. We can use the extra offices in the pr-prison. You need to lie down."
The blonde closed her eyes, it was no use. The image of the body had seared itself in her brain and the kunoichi doubted it would go away soon. She would help Fenn, it was her job as a medical ninja and that was all she had to remember now. No matter what else she felt, she was a ninja and she had a job to do.
'Could you please..." she gestured to the body, mooning for Fenn to pick it up as they headed towards the administration area. An empty office withe enough space for Fenn to lie down so she could perform the procedure would be enough she knew. And thanks to her light construct creations, she could have all the tools she needed in addition to chakra scalpel. There was nothing wrong with what Fenn was asking of her.
Akihana would just have to keep telling herself that throughout the surgery.

Fen would lift up the body of the kid, and carried it in, he could seem a gleam of worry in Akihana's eyes and he would tell her " I was not the one to put the knife to the kids throat, I found him in a cave that a Ninja from this village had him hidden in, Seemed to have been made of paper this man was, I could not leave this boy in that cave, with later reaserch I found all I could, and As much as I feel bad about this, it is a way to obtain power the boy is no longer using, to better protect the village, and more importantly, Yourself and Arata" Fen had followed her to the room with two empty desks, not ideal for a surgery, but it had privacy written all over it, and fen would set the body down on one desk and he moved the other closer to lay on the other one, and he would pull up his armor so she could access his skin "I am ready when you are Akihana" Fen would lay waiting

Her worry and concerns must have been obvious in her eyes, either that or Fenn knew her all too well by now. Nothing else could explain why he had answered the exact question troubling her mind as they walked towards the offices, the guards taking in their ANBU status and letting them in without a word. More questions fought their way to the tip of Akihana's tongue. What had a Senju been doing so far from home? Why was his body detained by a man made of paper? Were there skilled assassins out there targeting shinobi with bloodline limits? The medic bit all her queries back, her mind focused on the task ahead. An empty office was not hard to find, neither was Fenn hesitant as he climbed on to a desk, ready to receive his surgery.
The only one having second thoughts was Akihana.
"You, uhhh, just remove your shirt," she instructed, golden eyes averted from Fenn as they focussed instead onb the body lying on the second desk. Taking in the cause of death and condition of corpse was easy enough. As was the slow and careful construction of minimal field surgery tools using light release.
"I'm going to put you in a sleeping jutsu since there aren't any anesthetics," she finally managed, wielding a small scalpel created as a light construct glinting in her fingers. Everything about this screamed wrong. There should be a hospital, the smell of antiseptics snaking through her senses, beeping machines in the background, proper surgical attire. Instead what the medic had to work with was only a semi clean office and tools she had had to fashion herself. "I'll have to use hot instruments as that is the only guarantee of sterilization in this situation," she added, warning him that this would be painful even if he didn't feel it. She could sear the wound shut after the surgery and heal the skin over it but residual pain would still linger for days. If this was what Fenn wanted, she would continue.

Fen would remove his shirt as she told him to do so, his muscles rippling across his skin as his training would be well noticed by this point, He would fold the shirt up carefully, and then used it as a pillow, Nodding to her to let her know he completely understood, he would then rest his head on the shirt, his back jumping ever so slightly at the chill of the desk top on his bare back, his skin was no where near perfect, as faint traces of his "Tattoo's" could be seen across his body now, he would close his eyes, as he was no medic ninja, he would not dare to try and point out the new jutsu she taught him should eventually cover most of it, and take care of most of her worries, but he would let her do her thing, meditatve breathing techniques taught by the ANBU would prepair him for all to come , waiting for what was to come

As Fenn rested his head on the pillow made from his discarded shirt, Akihana averted her eyes respectfully from his bare torso. Despite the necessity for the action, the blonde nonetheless felt it was a breach of privacy especially given his new physique. The medic had always remembered Fenn as the little boy whom she had felt compelled to look after upon her arrival in cloud and it was still hard to imagine that the kid had grown up into a full sized young man who looked about her age. Briefly, the blonde wondered if she had changed much in the last six years. Was there residual weariness around her eyes from being responsible for Arata, had she gained or lost weight throughout her training. Akihana went in for complete physicals as required per ANBU procedure once a month but never bothered to give more than a cursory glance to the reports. Her height, weight and BMI as familial to her as Arata's. As long as her bloodwork came out okay, she was satisfied and beyond that, she had never noticed.
Akihana tried to remember when she had last looked into a mirror for more than a few seconds as a formality and couldn't come up with anything. Oh well, if she couldn't be bothered to check, there was likely nothing special to see. Nothing to lament there.
Beginning the Temple of Nirvana jutsu, the kunoichi activated it in small amounts, making sure to only target Fenn and then only enough to lull him into the state of sleep his body was naturally edging him towards. Once he was sound asleep, the medic turned to the body, the small scalpel made from light deftly slicing into the flesh and peeling the skin back to reveal the internals. At least whoever had killed the kid had managed to preserve the body fairly will, which of course meant that Akihana had to heal damaged or dead tissue still before a transplant could begin. She acted under the assumption that the redhead had already done a crossmatch for compatibility as he said he had been researching the issue.
Once the organ was sufficiently cleaned and removed, Akihana turned to Fenn, his breathing steady as his chest rose and fell with the movement. Touching his shoulder slightly, the kunoichi applied the merest hint of Body Derangement just to keep him frame from autonomic reactions like spasming or jerking at the pain. What she was about to do was field surgery, in very dangerous conditions. And it would hurt, a lot.
concentrating on the scalpel exuding heat in her hands, the medic made an incision carefully, making one across the first to mark a little "X at the point. What followed were some of the toughest moments of Akihana's life as she performed surgery on Fenn, her fear of harming him only bested by her determination to never let that happen. How Fenn trusted her this much, the golden eyed woman did not know. Especially when she didn't trust herself.
It took the better part of the hour, translating the organ and then searing the wound shut using the Mystical Palm technique. Healing the burned skin with the same jutsu was as painful to watch as she knew it would have been for Fenn to suffer through had he been awake. Most people made the mistake of thinking that medical jutsu were magic, that any pain or blemish could go away with the mere flick of a medical ninja's wrist. hat they didn't understand was that pain demanded to be felt, in every way. Most shinobi suffered from \phantom or invisible pain simply because they hadn't suffered any actual pain where they should have.
Once the procedure was done, the blonde cleaned up the Senju body, sealing it away into a scroll for safety before pulling a chair up beside the desk Fenn lay on. Not waking him just yet, Akihana reached for his hand and held if gently in her own, offering a small prayer to Goddess Etro for Fenn's safety and well being.
