When fen was put to sleep with the Nirvana jutsu, as such, his dream he had could not be described, as they would be rated xxx, but he would eventually awaken with a smile on his face and he looked over at Akihana as he sat up and smiled softly "Thank you Akihana, I assume everything went smoothly?" He asked her while he adjusted himself knocking some books over that was next to the desk, he would slowly try to move to get them, reading out loud one of the titles, being about bloodlines and such, he would then wish to read it to see what it had on the Senju bloodline, if Akihana did not stop him from moving, then he would succed in such a task

Akihana was familiar with transplant procedures, entirely too familiar to know when one hadn't worked. In the days of old, a failed kidney transplant meant almost certain death but fortunately, over time and through the tireless efforts of medics, techniques had been developed to ensure that the organ's failure to function didn't extend to the rest of the body. That and Akihana knew a little bit about the Senju DNA Fenn was trying to imbue with his own. It was a highly resistant gene, that much the blonde knew. She may never know the name of the dark haired boy who had betrayed her but she sent Arata for regular check ups, and DNA tests did not lie.

It was also the reason Akihana often pretended to be a widow by simple omission. A kumo nin with a conveniently dead kumo husband invited less questions than a Leaf refugee carrying a child of one of the most sought after clan in the history of the land of Fire.

When Fenn began to stir, Akihana's golden gazed shifted back to the redhead. He seemed to be okay in the way he tried to sit up which only meant that Mystical Palm had contained most of the damage, but when he asked if all had gone well, the kunoichi shook her head, watching him move for the book.

"I'm afraid not, the gene is... particularly resistant," she offered. She waited to see if Fenn would offer any expansion on that before lifting a golden eyebrow in his direction. "How much did you study about the Senju bloodline before asking for a transplant?" She didn't doubt his ability to be thorough just as she was sure that all information was crucial when it came to things like these.

Fenn would begin searching the book he grabbed for Senju, and once finding it, Akihana asked her question at the same time, and Fenn would answer her with " I did not do to much sadly, I only knew Inijo was a Senju, and that Senju's were formidable in both Offence and Defense, once I read that I believed I read all I needed to know, but if what your saying is true, and it did not take at this moment, it could be it is waiting to see if I am worthy of its powers it offeres" the it he was referring to was the Senju dna, Fen had no idea of Akihana's past, at least not the past beyond her being in Kumogakure, but hell, fen did not know his own past beyond that of an orphan, he would read about the senju bloodline, how resilient it can be, and also how stubborn the dna is to work with in all situations, seems to make sense, he would read about the more detailed parts of Senju's wood style jutsu's themselves, they were truly powerful, this was the power he was seeking, maybe more, but this was the power he wished for at this moment, and as such, he would continue to read, but he kept his ears out for Akihana's voice, so that he may listen to the words she would speak, and he would reply in kind

The medic shook her blonde head slightly, bright golden locks tumbling loose from her braid with the action and falling into her eyes. A soft brush of fingers tucked the stray strands behind an ear as she watched Fenn leaf through the book that someone must have been especially researching at the prison, it being the only reason why it was at the empty office in the first place. Fenn spoke of bloodline limits and DNA as if they possessed free will, as if they could choose to bind themselves with an otherwise incompatible host. Compatibility, the ANBU operative had learned, was not something one could manipulate, especially on a genetic level. If they could, everyone would have powerful bloodlines. The kunoichi didn't know how to explain to her partner that there was no waiting around to see if the bloodline decided Fenn was worthy. If the crossmatch results were positive, the dead kid's kidney was simply not suitable for Fenn's body. It wasn't a negotiation as much as fact.

But perhaps she wouldn't have to. If artificial cells could get nurtured into the dead Senju's kidney, helping it adjust to Fenn's body, perhaps there was hope. Though the redhead would need to know a lot more about this bloodline limit before a second attempt could be made. Right now he was one kidney short. Luckily the human body only needed one to function.

"The Senju were the clan Konoha was built on," she began, her voice sifting slightly as the memories floated back to her, slow and heavy like a fog. "Every element is special in its own way of course, but what made makuton unique was its ability to nurture life. Wood becomes trees, becomes roots and fruits. Not only was it a great metaphor but some even claim that was how konoha got its name. The village hidden in the leaves is actually the village hidden in the trees." The history lesson had been more than fifteen years ago and yet Akihana still recalled it as though it had been yesterday. She was no longer the little girl who sat in the back, to afraid to raise her hand and too uninterested to take notes. How that girl had become her, the blonde would never understand.

Fen closed his book momentarily and looked up at her and listened to her words, enjoying listening to the story she was telling, he would nod and when she stopped , he would reach out and grab her hand and nod to her and say to her softly "Please continue, I wish to know as much as I can" fen smiled at her softly and leaned back and removed his hand, waiting to hear more of the story she was telling him

The feel of Fenn's hand on hers was barely perceptible, Akihana was lost in too many memories to count as her mind swam through her past. Lazy afternoons lying underneath the shade of trees, gazing into the canopy of leaves above, cold autumn evenings of clutching Senritsu's coat around her tightly as she made her way on this errand or that, sitting cross legged on the wooden floor with Masato as her grandfather recounted stories of missions past. That life belonged to the Akihana with brown eyes and so many dreams for the future, not the golden eyed kunoichi who now stood beside her friend in the aftermath of a a failed transplant. Time had erased that little girl but sometimes she wondered if the little girl was still there, deep down inside her. It was hard to say, no one recognized that teenager anymore. Everyone in Kumo knew Akihana as Arata's mother. She had no identity of her own and she had never minded that. It was a strange feeling imagining a life in which her son had not been a major factor.

"The Senju no doubt did a lot for the leaf, but they also made enemies," she counted, her voice still soft as she recalled the details, sifting through her mind carefully as though going through fragile and breakable antiques in a museum. "The Uchiha and the Senju always had their differences, but the Uchiha also had a reputation that may have justified it. It was the other clans however that took a back seat in the era of Senju supremacy, other clans who were quiet but just as unhappy about the new order the Hokage of the land of fire wanted to create."

It was hard to explain what clan and clan values meant to the redhead in the room. He hadn't grown up being defined by a bloodline or those he was related to. There were no words which could explain things like the feeling of being in family books and tapestries, of trying to live up to a set standard, of the unbridled joy of breaking free even if just for a day from the norms and duties of the clan, no, there was no way to explain the Akari except in base, generic terms which would never do her upbringing or her family family members any justice. But for the purpose of this conversation, even base and generic words might suffice.

"My grandfather used to say they were were too entitled," the blonde paraphrased, her eyes misting as Akashingo came to mind after so many years. She wondered where he was, if he ever thought of her. She refused to believe he was dead. Her grandfather was many things but the aspect of his personality he exuded most of all was resilience. Growing up, Akihana had always imagined him as one of the giant oak trees outside Konoha. Old, gnarled, tall and forever defying the test of time. The young woman could not imagine that ever changing about the red light of the Akari.

"It is one thing to help build a shinobi village from the ground up, quit another to expect people to warship you for it," she continued, taking on the same tone her grandfather had used a lifetime ago as he recounted similar things to her, usually as she bit into warm mochi or ate ice cream on scorching summer days, her brown eyes focused entirely on his wrinkled face and gap toothed smile. "They were formidable warriors true, but they were not the only ones. The Uchiha had always been on level, as had been the Nara, the Akimichi, the Akari, the Uzumaki... All clans had their special bloodline limits and yet non demanded the hero warship of the Senju. My grandfather often said it was their pride that led to their fall years later."

Fen would outstretch his hand and touch Akihana's cheek to help bring her back to earth more or less, and he would encourage her, with his hand to look at him, and when she would look at him he would say to her "Akihana, when you talk about the Senju, you speak as if they are some lost lover, please, can you tell me why this is?" Fenn did not like to see Akihana like this, he did not know it if was a natural protectiveness, or if it was something special he held just for her, as he did not have much interaction with other people, but he knew for certain, he wanted to help make her smile if he could, he would then reach over and pull her closer to him, and wrap his arms around her to embrace her in a hug "It is Ok Aki, You do not have to go into any detail if you do not want to, but I want you to know, I am here for you, always" Fen would then lean away to look into her eyes and offer her a warming smile, in hopes to get her to open up to him, but it was not needed, he knew from what he started reading in the book he could get the answered he needed from it, if need be

Fenn's slight touch on her skin made the blonde realize how far she'd sunk into her own memories. It shouldn't have been surprising really the way she had kept them all locked away for so long. The last six years of her life had been dedicated to being Arata's mommy, not the scared little girl who had fled from the only home she'd ever known with a secret growing inside of her.

When he asked how she knew of the Senju, the medic debated for a moment. Telling Fenn the truth would mean exposing the part of her she was most ashamed of. The only person who had otherwise known of her indiscretions was Echo and that had come up almost of its own violations. Seeing a Leaf Nin after so long had instantly made the ANBU Operative feel a sense of camaraderie and kinship which had resulted in her explanation of Arata's parentage. But was she ready to let others in on the secret? To let Arata be exposed for what she had done in her past?

Not just yet.

"My grandfather was a great traveler," she compensated, sticking to the truth because lying to Fenn was out of the question. "His missions took him all across the shinobi world and when he came back, he had so many stories for myself and my cousin. He was the one who told me about the Senju clan and bloodline."

Fenn would nod as she spoke about her grandfather, Listening to the story she told of him, and he would begin speaking "So its not the loss of a Lover, but the loss of a great love, You seemed to have loved your grandfather very much, If he is passed and that's why you speak of him this way I am sorry to hear it, but if you just do not see him anymore, then maybe it is time for a visit?" Fenn had no idea about the half hearted truth that Akihana spoke, so till the day that comes to fruition, he would believe her whole heartedly, Fenn would hug Akihana once more, then he would being to compile all the words she spoke about the Senju.

This made a great deal of sense to Fenn after he put some thought into the words, The wood Element seemed to have the two biggest Elements for creating life itself, Water and Earth, so it would make sense that it would create the life of plants, very interesting concept indeed, then he put thought on more of her words

Uchiha, That name sounded familiar, Fenn believes there was something about a uchiha kid who recently Graduated the Village's Academy Program, as well as in the book, just before he put it down, he was reading about the Brilliance of power they could offer to the Senju, as well as the power the Senju could offer them, but he stopped to listen to Akihana, so he was not yet finished with that part, then the last bit that akihana had spoke, still ringing in his ears

Why did it seem like her grandfather had a bitter past with the Senju, that was a question for another time, at this moment Fenn would just think on the words given to him about the Senju, about their Bloodline Heritage, the Wood Element, Fen would lean back away after giving Akihana yet another hug, in hopes to cheer her up, and he would kiss her cheek softly and tell her.

"Akihana is it fine, you do not need to relive the past anymore, it seems to be causing you distress, let us talk about the other things that I need to work on now, what new things do you have to teach to me today My friend, My sensei" Kikato spoke these words to Akihana, he said them with a soft tone, in which Akihana knew he was serious about continue on with his training, And meanwhile, while he paid attention to what words she spoke next, he would open the book and continue to read.

Back at the Part were the two rival clans, could offer each other a great power, when working together, inside of one body, the Chakra of the Senju, and the Doujutsu prowess of the Uchiha, combined allowed something called a Rinnegan, this allowed for such things a Access to All of the Elements, Gravity Manipulation, even a form of reviving the dead, which once more made complete sense, as Water is the most known for healing properties and Earth is Associated with where the body has its final rest, that Wood style would help allow one to Heal even the dead, But now it started to get into the ability for Wood Release to even hold back Bijuu and absorb their Chakra's, and it gave an example of a Jinchuuriki, there was that name once more ever haunting him, Seems that Bijuu were great beasts that Roamed the planet, and had great powers, and was sealed inside of people, who eventually learned how to unlock those powers, a pit in Fenn's stomach began, something told him, this was what he lost all that time ago, but he would continue reading, about how they had defensive capabilities that equaled the strongest Metals, and that made for some of the strongest Offensive capabilities as well, Fenn continued on to read about how the most power could create forests in an instant, and even how they could effect Pollen, this book Fen was reading made for great reading, and education he needed on the Senju clan, as well as the Wood Release, it made him more desperate then ever to get this power, because with it, he could defend that which was most precious to him, Fen already had it in his mind, no one would ever touch what was his in any form that would disrespect them.

At this point Fen would take a break of reading and look up at Akihana to see what she was doing, as well as to show her, he was paying attention to what she was saying while he was reading
