La Valse d'Akira (Coco)
Wed Jan 21, 2015 4:15 pm
Snow gently tumbled down from the dark clouds of Kumogakure, been a while since a village which was usually pretty good at keeping an ambient temperature got this cold. It was nice though, however it was cold. Thankfully a certain young man had made sure that the temple he lived in was warm enough - Having already thrown some wood into the fireplace. Which snapped and crackled audibly throughout the dimly lit room. It had gotten dark early, normal for winter time.
Akira meanwhile was seated down on his couch, a bunch of old looking papers and journals stacked messily over his coffee table. The young man sported a plain and comfy black shirt a towel around the back of his neck where it dropped off at shoulder level - a pair of grey sweatpants and white socks. The 18 year-old had just come out of a shower and was returning to his work on these old papers he had found laying around the temple.
He had a pile which he had flipped through on one side, and a pile yet to have been scanned on the other. These were some clan papers after all, and the more he could know about the clan which he had never encountered - the better in his opinion. He had learned of a few new things, and one in particular was shown on a faded map in the center of the coffee table. "The Abyss Village." Home of the Shinkou clan.
He'd finally found the home village of his clan. The young man had a firm smile on his face, at the same time he finished off drying his black hair with the towel which rested over his shoulders. He was in a good mood, he was warm. Nothing but the sound of crackling fire. It'd be a lot better if a certain person paid a visit however.

My some cosmic coincidence just as Akira choose to entertain that extremely alluring idea in his mind, there came a knocking at his temple door. Who could it be on this snowy ever, none other but Coco his blushing Amour. She was in fine form this blistering winter day. At least she could return to dressing the way she had before she entered the land, four layers of clothing, a scarf! The whole Shebang! Well she wasn't dressed exactly the way she had back home. Over in Ame she'd always worn a rain slicker as her outermost outfit. On this white evening though, she chose to wear the cat sweater Akira had picked out for her on their last date. It was soft, comfy, war, and infinitely adorable. A little too feline for Coco's taste though.
Excitedly she wrapped upon his temples' large wooden doors in such a way as if to say: "Hey stud. I've got hot coco mix in my pocket, and a copy of Ground Hog's day wrapped up in my sweater." It'd actually been a while since the two star crossed not-yet lovers were together. Coco didn't actually know how much she'd missed the guy until she found herself drifting off during a little target practice, vision of Akira dancing through her head and all that. With the knowledge of her ruined home heavy on her heart, it was almost like Akira was the only family she had In the world. At just the thought of what that would imply Coco turned so red and hot with embarrassment all the snow within a foot of her melted back into water. And she didn't even have a Fire nature.

Akira examined the map on the table, he could almost feel his eyes get wavy with tears of joy. But Akira wasn't going to let that show just yet. But the prospect of finally meeting the clan which gave him those eyes...The almost otherworldly dark blue orbs which resided within his sockets. A power which he never understood pretty much ever. He discovered the power which resided within him at a rather early age. But never really knew where they came from and where the rest of his kin were, he now knew. And damn did it feel refreshing.
But he didn't have much time to get all emotional, it seemed as if someone required his attention. Who would come knocking at a temple when it was dark? Nobody really knew where this temple was anymore, so it could've only been one person really. He got up off his feet and audibly hollered "Coming!" He walked briskly towards the thick wooden doors and opened them, to find his girlfriend but another thing that caught his attention was the cold. "Sheesh! You look cold Miss Wei. How about I warm you up a little? Come in." He gave her a cheeky wink and opened the door further to let her walk through.

Coco gave a smile that spread from ear to ear. "Oh I'm absolutely frigid!" She announced crossing over the threshold into Akira's temple. The heat of the household made her skin tingle pleasantly. She slid her slender feet out of her yellow rain boots. She set the shoes down by the door, and hunched forward slightly pulling a bright red foot to her hand and squeezed it gently, trying to send some heat into her frozen digits. "I just about froze my toes off getting to you today." She pouted playfully. She changed feet and repeated the process. When she was finally satisfied she stood back to her full high, and wiggled her toes playfully. "I think there's only one thing that'll due to cure me of my frostbite." She gave him a loving look and held her arms out wide. "Doctor I'm in desperate need of a hug!" She shouted melodramatically while throwing her head back in mock anguish.

He couldn't help but smile at the sight of the seemingly always cheery gal he had somehow managed to pick up a few weeks back. Akira had a few girlfriends before, but strangely he never felt as strongly about them as he felt about her. Strange how she always seemed so cheery, then again Akira didn't really pay attention to the news and was unaware of Amegakure's destruction.
"I'm sorry I'm the cause of so much distress and cold feet, then." He chuckled a bit, closing the doors behind her once she had entered. Laughing a little at her being all dramatic. "Haha, don't worry, your doctor's on the scene." He grinned, pulling her into his firm and warm embrace, holding her there for a bit so she could warm up against him. "How've you been, dear?" He asked obviously completely oblivious to anything happening outside of the village. "Hah, you even wore the jumper I bought you. Be careful doing that, you might make me feel special." He giggled a bit.

As Akira pulled Coco in for a hug she let out a soft sigh. She let herself rest her head upon his strong chest. For just a moment she let herself get lost in the heat that came radiating off of him. Very suddenly it felt like life was moving all to fast for coco wei. Just a few weeks ago she'd been jogging through the streets and alley ways of her village, and now those streets were but ash. A few weeks ago she hadn't even had her fist kiss, and now here she was in the presence of her boyfriend. They were the sort of things that she never expect to happen to her on her mission in Kumo, and yet they had. And she wasn't sure if her life was better off for her travels here. Though for now as she felt Akira's arms wrap around her, she certainly felt like she as in a better place. "Good." She answered in a whispery voice rubbing her cheek aginst the soft material of his shirt.
When they finally disengaged she let out a soft laugh. "Yeah wouldn't want you to get a big head or anything. You may start making me call you senpai again."

Akira smiled and gave the top of her head a gentle kiss before resting his chin on the silky, jet black strands that coursed over her scalp. It seemed every second he spent with her was absolutely amazing to him. And he was definitely glad that she had come over. In truth, there were a few things he wanted to talk with Coco about. But for now, he'd focus on warming his poor lil' girlfriend up.
Life had gone pretty fast for Akira too, from becoming one of the newer, less known Jounin into one of the most powerful ninja on Kumogakure's roster, along with going from not knowing anything about his family. To learning about their home village. - A fine achievement in his opinion, a lot of hard work went into the past couple of weeks. But it seemed to pay off for him, from a life of uncertainty, to a life of honesty and no faults. He'd seen Coco quite a few times, but if he had the choice he'd choose to spend every second of every day with her if he could.
"You sure?..." He asked, she seemed pretty quiet and a little less upbeat than she was before. Akira knew his Cocos and that seemed a little different, of course it could just be the little tender moment the two were sharing, but as her boyfriend he had to make sure she was doing fine and to let her know that he was there for her no matter what happened. "Pff. I still wouldn't mind." He smiled happily. "C'mon, let's get you into the living room. I got tea and a fire for you." He spoke caringly, holding her hand and guiding her to the room which had most of the warmth. She definitely wouldn't be cold here. However she'd have to bear witness to his absolute mess of a coffee table, Akira meanwhile continued to walk into the kitchen next door to fetch the teapot. "Are you hungry or anything?" He asked while he was there.

With a pleasant sigh coco flopped down upon his couch, face first. She let out a long comfortable moan into the plush cushion. "I'm not hungry." She announced into the cushion, hoping that the sound would carry into akira's massive kitchen. The reason she'd come to visit was actually to tell Akira that she'd be leaving for her home in a few days. Or at least what was left of it. However she didn't feel like bringing it up just yet. It was hard enough knowing that there would be nothing for her to return to, let alone that Akira wouldn't be there with her.

He couldn't help but smile with amusement when he saw her flop onto his couch, talk about making herself at home. Well, then again his home was pretty much hers too. At least that couch still had space for him though. The perks of using a bit of his hard earned cash for better furniture. This couch was pretty big as it served the purpose of a second bed due to Akira being very prone to falling asleep on furniture.
The young man took the teapot which had sat there brewing for a couple of minutes, his free hand pinching two cups, one of which had a red heart on it, that'd be Coco's. He placed both cups on the little areas of space he could find on the crowded coffee table before he took a seat next to her. "So, how's life?" He asked, wanting to get the lowdown on how everything was going on her end or if she had anything to say to him.

As Akira sat down with the Tea Coco peeled herself off from the couch and just sat down against the armrest. She grabbed the Tea that Akira handed her and blushed every so slightly when she saw the heart upon it. She took a long sip of the warm drink ,and let out a dreamy sigh. "Good stuff." She whispered taking a second sip, careful not to scold her tongue. She hated burning her tongue. One quick mistake and you couldn't taste anything for two weeks. It hardly seemed fare.
How was life? Well that was an interesting question. She let out a weary sigh, and sat her cup down on the coffee table. It took her several moments to find a place that wasn't covered in, research or whatever Akira had been working on before she got here. "I'm going to be leaving the village soon." She announced giving him a sad look. "Amegakure is no more. I have to go home, and take care of what is left of my home." She gave him a sad look. "So I think this may be goodbye between you and I."
