It seemed that Kozai had fallen behind. However, he had found a perfect spot for a hut. When Ame was refounded, he felt that here was a good place he could settle down, away from people... and away from those who would seek him out. Youka... the Hell's Angel... and Echo. He remembered Maku, and wondered if he would ever see him again. Maku was the only person left alive, perhaps, who could have been called a friend... and Kozai didn't know if he would ever see him, or if Maku was still friendly. As of their last meeting, Maku had basically destroyed Iwa, so he didn't know what to think anymore. In fact, he needed a lot of time to think about what to do next. 
Walking away from the group that he had fallen behind, he set about gathering plywood. Everything ended here, and everything would begin again. Just as it had before, in Ame.
