(thought about playing it safe at first but then decided Toma don't do that, so please dont smash his face into the ground to hard next post plz. dont let the big wc fool you im just really detail oriented when it comes to grappling cuz it scares me, and as you read my post you'll probably under stand why I'm scared of it. It's cuz I suck.)
As Toma finished his step Draconis had already brought his arms up, his stance still facing Toma. As Toma hadn't intended to put much of his weight into his jabs, it was easy for him to re-evaluate his plan of attack and change it, he didn’t however, at least not at first. As his first strike began its path towards Draconis’s face the left arm of the hyuuga started moving towards the attacking limb, moving around Toma’s fist so that he could grab the arm from the inside, however Toma wasn’t aware of Draconis’s end goal with the maneuver. It was at this point Toma had to make a decision, to back off and try and swipe away the limb or get involved in grappling a hyuuga, which probably wouldn’t end well.
But it sounded like fun so Toma decided to do it anyway, it was just a spar so it wasn’t like the guy was gonna kill him or anything.
As Draconis’s arm began to move past Toma’s fist he would open it and grab for the forearm of the hyuuga, attempting to get a hold of the arm as it tried to move past the fist towards Toma’s bicep. The young jounin was fortunate that Draconis had decided to grab his limb from the inside instead of the out, as when he had made the motion to move around Toma’s hand the forearm had gotten close and allowed Toma to hopefully easily grab a hold of it before it even completed the transition towards getting on the other side of Toma’s arm.
Of course, this was only one of 3 moves Draconis was doing, however because he was moving both hands forward whilst kicking Toma wasn’t entirely sure how much force could be distributed to each action while also balancing on a single foot, but the guy was a hyuuga so he probably didn’t need to put much force into his blows.
If Toma had managed to intercept Draconis’s left arm he would have managed to do so before either of the other attacks reached Toma, which thanks to his byakugan allowed Toma to catch the movement of Draconis’s foot despite the right arm being aimed at Toma’s face.
Toma’s own left hand would move forward past Draconis’s right, making sure to be out of hands reach, before moving it from right to left to smack it into Draconis’s right forearm to knock the block to Toma’s left while keeping it the same height. This would happen a few inches from Toma’s face, and the young jounin would twist his hand so as to try to grab Draconis’s arm while he was pushing it away.
For the kick Toma had a simple solution. His stance was with a leading foot while Draconis’s stance was square to Toma. As Draconis’s foot neared Toma’s leading one he would lift it up off the ground and aim his own kick at Draconis’s planted right foot. This would diminish the strength of his grip on Draconis’s left arm and hopefully also his right if he had managed to grab it, but Draconis was physically weaker than Toma and had already been standing on one foot, so Toma didn’t need to worry about Draconis abusing Toma’s weakened grip.
Toma’s weight would also transfer to his left leg, which was done quickly as Toma hadn’t concentrated all of his weight onto his leading foot for the jabs making the maneuver easy. Toma’s right leg would leave the ground before Draconis’s reached it, and was aimed for Draconis’s knee, planning on using his foot to hook behind the knee and force it to buckle.
If all 3 of the maneuvers succeeded Toma would transfer his weight back to his right foot as Draconis knee buckled, leaning forward and moving Draconis’s arms away from toma’s torso and head as he did so. Draconis’s arms would be moved upwards and to the side (his right arm move to his right, left to his left).
Due to the fact that 3 attacks were going on at the same time in close quarters combat the writer feels the need to say that he’s thankful this is just a spar and they are not fighting to the death.
While all of this was happening, which honestly was not even the span of a second probs cuz super speed ninjas, Tomoya was practicing the fire dragon technique. And developing as a character and all that jazz like finding his inner flame or something.

It was not hard to see Toma opening his hand, most likely to grab Draconis’ forearm as the latter tried to reach for the former’s bicep, after all there was very little to try and grab otherwise, and Draconis’ arm was the most convenient. What to do? Draconis decided to try a tactic. Another one that is. As Toma’s fingers opened, Draconis rotated his left arm that was previously grabbing at Toma’s bicep, outwards, his knuckles would push against Toma’s inner forearm about midway, changing direction to be pushing to Draconis’ left and Toma’s right instead of reaching for Toma’s bicep.
It was a little surprising how fast Toma could react to everything else Draconis was doing, but then again that Byakugan helped a lot. It occurred to Draconis belatedly that if he was not going to use the gentle fist techniques and keep ut at a purely hand to hand combat spar, then he should make himself able to use more force behind his blows, it was a little awkward he was dinging out, to attack with three limbs at once.
The second move Toma did looked a little weird. His own left arm went out past Draconis’ own right arm. Then when he brought his own hand to deflect Draconis’ own right hand, Draconis lowered his own hand so he would instead push at the other fellow’s chest, moving his hand attack downwards so that Toma would miss at the last moment.
Unfortunately, deliberately not activating the Byakugan for extra difficulty had its price. Draconis assumed that Toma would not have noticed his other attack, and ended up falling over before he could reach Toma. “Oops, looks like not using the Byakugan was a mistake.”

As Draconis began to rotate his arm Toma would move his right arm to the right, pulling it away as he did so as quickly as he could and stepping back until his lead foot was a full half a meter from Draocnis, Toma's hands returning to their defensive position.
If this move succeeded and Draconis for some reason continued his kick from earlier Toma would lift up his lead foot to avoid the kick. If he stopped the kick or tried to alter his movements so that the kick was a step forward somehow Toma would be ready.
Essentially all the two had done so far was Toma had tried to punch Draconis, Draconis tried to grab his arm while doing two other maneuvers, and then when Toma's attempt to stop Draconis's left arm failed he had stepped back before the attacks had managed to hit him, abandoning his other two counters that would have taken place after his first.
Toma would stay in his ready position and look Draocnis over with his hidden byakugan while he waited to see how Draconis reacted to him stepping back, wondering if he should just step forward and press the attack again.
Tomoya had really not done much during the course of these events do to the short time span in which everything occurred.

Suddenly Toma pulled back. What the? Draconis was confused, but then he realized that it must be because of his sudden change of angle. That or Tomoya disapproved or something.
Speaking of which, just to farm word count, Draconis weaved the hand seals and then began to form a shadow clone, as he wanted to train at the same time as he tried to spar. There were so many things he could train though….
He finished the hand seal sequence, and a poof of smoke appeared, which was largely obligatory he felt. The Shadow clone blinked, a little surprised at its sudden existence. Then, remembering why it existed in the first place, walked over towards Tomoya. “Hey, how are you doing over there?” The clone began working on the same jutsu that the original body was thinking about at the same time, concentrating the chakra around the eyes.
The clone of course, was working on the same jutsu as the original Draconis, and that meant that Draconis was also concentrating his chakra near his eyes, but he was not activating his Byakugan, something that he did not know that Toma would most likely be able to sense.
The clone, after speaking to Tomoya, looked at the original article, and tried to bridge the gap by reading the original one’s mind or some stuff like that.
After a while he realized something else was up. "Sorry, I got to go again, I should be back soon though."
Draconis would take his leave.

Seeing as he was not stopped, for now anyway, Draconis left uninterrupted.

After Toma pulled back Draconis started doing some hand seals, "Dude wait what the fu-"
Then the clone appeared, what was this guy gonna fight him two on one? That wasn't fair at all. The clone then went togo train with Tomoya or something though, but really Toma would have appreciated it if Draconis had mentioned something before using the jutsu in the middle of a hand to hand spar.
Draconis also seemed to need to leave again, to which Toma responded, "We're probably going to go as well, see you around." Toma and Tomoya would bothgive Draconis a wave as he left, before leaving the district themselves.
