The Blood Games

Yazu knew for a fact that he had no weapons to deal with any of the other people within the confines of this arena.  He saw his closest target being the puppeteer was also well versed with entomology and had a very sharp blade that could make any of the kunai he had useless.  Additionally, even if he had managed to make it through the fight with Malvoes he had the sand manipulation ninja and the strange one with the scars. It was not a good battle for Yazu.  The heat of battle had also slowed to stand still all four contestants sizing the others up.  

Yazu had his threads which could be used to his advantage though he would likely have to find a way around the bugs and the puppet to get to the soft cream filling.  Yazu would nonetheless have to try, his honor also at stake in this pit. 20 meters of distance between Yazu and Malvoes and quite a bit between the other two fighters.  Yazu knelt down beside the body of the child whose heart he had consumed watching the remaining contestants closely, he would much rather fight reactively. He formed hand signs as a large puff of smoke erupted from the vicinity they stood in concealing them for a few moments long enough for Yazu's gambit to maybe work.  He would then wait for Malvoes to make the first move.

Insects buzzing, wind blowing, the occasional creak of Mantis as his joints move, and an enemy in his sights, to be a ninja is to be this, or at least for Malvoes. It was all fun for him, the battling and the chance to stretch his muscles, and Mantis's wood, a chance to learn what other people were like in these situations and being able to learn from his mistakes and preconceptions. 

On that note though he must keep his attention on his enemy, this ninja was a wild card with his threads, not to be taken lightly, Malvoes emits another group of insects(40), dividing them evenly amongst the two swarms already present(so each swarm is now 50/50 literally).First Malvoes retrieves 3 shuriken from his weapon pouch with his left hand and throws them at yazu full force(57.5 speed), aiming at his torso, one at for each shoulder and one for his stomach. Malvoes watches as his opponent makes a few hand signs, a cloud of smoke appearing around him, as it appears Malvoes has his swarm of insects swirl around him in a cyclone manner, encompassing his body but giving him line of sight still, then he sends Mantis forward at half his speed(27) to make an advance on Yazu but to be cautious as well. He keeps an eye out on the smoke cloud, waiting for his opponent's retaliation.

Too slow, and so it was, that Goon managed to sidestep Mitako's little attempts at an attack, wrapping his arm around his.

There was a reason Mitako walked down the path of swordsman over the path of the fist. A few, actually. Your opponents speed is something you could see with your eyes, or in some cases, couldn't see. It was something that could be determined, however, your opponents strength is something that could be hidden from you, under thick, baggy baggy black clothing. So when scars grabbed Mitako's arm, he didn't take into account that the person he was grabbing could be described as relatively strong. Stronger than the person doing the grabbing even, not to brag. Not to mention the red bubbly, boiling cloak veiled over his body wasn't just thin air, or water, but an actual layer of energy, chakra, that when touched, would compress with his hands, it wasn't just an intangible object that his hands would press through, it had a resistance, a skin of sorts that needed to be broken through to touch the person inside it. And so it was that Goon's arm never actually touched Mitako, but rather it locked around the cloak surrounding him. The cloak, being an extension of Mitako, shared his strength. So it was, with his full strength, and full speed, that Mitako lifted his arm up above his head and gripped the sword in that hand with his full strength as soon as the opponent locked their arms together. As soon as he did so, two little arms would come forth from the cloak on Mitako's body as fast as they could, sort of tying Goon to Mitako's left arm in a sense by wrapping around Goon's upper body, binding him at the cloak's full strength. Mitako would then turn to look his opponent in face, not the eyes, as he learned with Youta, but just at his face, so that he would keep an eye on his opponent.

Of course, he was still moving while he did so, still taking steps, but after about three stomps, he would find himself skidding to a halt. Due to both Goon grabbing Mitako's arm, and Mitako's momentum, Goon would find himself being yanked along with Mitako. The opponent attached to his arm still, being held in place by the cloak, Mitako would take his right arm, grip the sword in his hand, which was already sparking with electricity, and bring it across his body as fast as he could, in a well aimed strike at Goon's thigh. Mitako's left arm, which was currently locked in with Goon's right arm, would remain up, using the cloak to prevent Goon from letting go and just escaping their little arm lock. Oh, sure, he could let go, but at this point, he would be locked in place by the cloak. After the stab to Goon's thigh, Mitako would pull the blade out of the flesh in a clean manner, as to not make the wound any more painful than it needed to be. After all, it was electrified, which would be painful enough in itself. The blade would find itself being prepped for another strike.

Now, in the meantime, the sand in Hysterio's armor would continue to pull him to the ground, restricting his movements. Mitako knew that if he gave his friend freedom, he could find himself in a very fucked position... He neglected the summon though.

Quite a turn of events but, nonetheless successful in what Goon was trying to do. He got his arm lock in place, even if it was that the cloak had formed little hands that locked Goon's arm in place. The "cloaking aura" around Sandy seemed to have tangibility, and seemed to be more than it looked. First assessment done. Now to see what to do.Goon thought to himself. So Mitako was still moving did he expect Goon to just be dragged along, it had seemed so. Even though Goon allowed himself to be pulled along, he still had an idea of what he wanted to do. So instead of resisting the sparking blade he allowed it pierce his thigh, it felt like improved shock therapy. Not only that but he needed to see what his opponent would do next. Goon hated swordsman, it took the fun out of the fight. After the blade was removed from his thigh, due to the predicament he was in, Goon would attempt to headbutt the kid in front of him, right square dead in the nose, going as fast as he could, and throwing as much force into it as he could. Though it seemed Goon was in trouble he was right where he wanted to be, a place making sword swings awkward plus allowing him to be close enough for a physical fight. He watched as the blade readied its attack.

Yazu had perfectly timed his actions.  From where he currently was he scanned watching.  Malvoes made a strong play, tossing the kunai, though not strong enough to change what had already been done.  YAzu had always been one for the dramatic and enjoyed his actions having a cinematic flair which was why when he managed to succeed at his jutsu's his hearts leaped a little within his chest. 


The kunai flew at him at a speed well within speeds he could dodge though he couldn't do more than that.  Since Malvoes had aimed the attack at his crouched form, the would be aimed at his legs were he to stand meaning the kunai would bypass him cleanly were he to make a small leap.  And that is exactly what he would do.  Yazu stood and then waited just a moment for the kunai to reach him and he would do a light jump over the downward aimed throwing weapons.  He would then clenaly land on the ground.  He would then backpedal at a spd of 20 to avoid a sneak attack from the puppet that was following the kunai in his direction.  The kunai would land in the ground not to far away from where he had dodged them. Yazu would reach down and grab one and toss it back at Malvoes at a speed of 20.  He simply needed to test the bug shield and find its weakness. 

Yazu now stood 5 m from Chinou's corpse and there were 2 more kunai in the ground near him, while the puppet that moved toward him was closing in on him and the kunai threatened Malvoes' attention.

The shuriken toss was a safe move, which is why Malvoes went with it and followed up with Mantis, fully aware that his opponent would dodge it. Malvoes emits the las of his insects to his protective swarm (now to 70). His opponent attempted to dodge imaginary KUNAI it seems, as he stands up from his dodge attempt the tossed SHURIKEN would hit him, the two aimed for his shoulder hitting him in the lower stomach and the one aimed for his chest hitting him...well..square in the testicles. His opponent would most likely take this, let's say injury, not too well and Malvoes would take this opportunity to send Mantis dashin in full speed(54) as he reaches 1 meter the insect swarm(50) on Mantis would leap out ahead of him, swarming over and biting Yazu, spreading out from his chest to his limbs, draining his chakra as Mantis would reach out, swiping at yazu's chest, his left blade coming in from the lower right of yazu and his right blade coming in from the upper left of yazu's shoulder, aiming for what should be both of his hearts, and making one deadly hug.

Sword swings were definitely awkward when your opponent was too close. You couldn't really make the room to get a good long swing in, you couldn't quick draw, and stabbing was basically an awkward situation due to the blade's length. Well, it's a good thing that Mitako ditched his katana for some handy dandy ninjato a week ago. Speaking of which, the blades he held now were much, much smaller and way easier to maneuver in tight spaces. They were less swords and more like really big knives. The two fighters were basically shoulder to shoulder, with their arms locking eachother together. More so, the red cloak held Goon to his arm.

So when his opponent reared his head back for a headbutt, Mitako did the same, although at a much greater speed, and with his full force. Their foreheads would collide, and Mitako himself felt it through the cloak that veiled him, although it would be more of a dull ache. If his opponent appeared to be slipping into unconciousness, Mitako would stop. He held no desire to draw out this fight any longer than it already had been. If his opponent continued to fight, as he suspected, his right arm would ready the blade for a strike, as previously stated, this time, stabbing his opponent in the bicep, grazing his own.

The headbutts seemed to collide Goon a little dazed chuckled at it. It seemed he was in an annoying predicament, this was to close. "Look, as much as I'm all for brotherly love, this is too close. So if you could politely release me from this slight annoyance, I'd greatly appreciate it. Even out the playing fields, I mean you already had the upper hand before this. Goon spoke of the lock his arm was stuck in, and the fact that sandy seemed to be a tad faster and stronger. Goon needed to train up more this may be the first and last time Sandy would be able to one up Goon. "See we could knock out the other two first, before they end up killing eachother, then return to this if you please. I expect you to be the one coming out on top of. Me I came into this for Good fun, you obviously came for the rank up, would you rather take on one or three counting the puppet.  Goon was prepared for Sandy's next strike, whether he agreed or not, would determine the next decision of Goon's. "So what'cha say there, bub?" Goon would ask with the most convincing smile in his arsenal.

Yazu was defeated, though he never would've imagined it would be this way, though he was also not too surprised.  Malvoes had every advantage on him.  He kneeled next to the corpse as he felt the shurikens connect with him, they thudded into his torso and arms causing a spray of blood to be unleashed.  It was painful though he forced through it.  As Mantis hurried in covered in bugs. Just as Mantis was within range he would use the jutsu he had prepared being that his last post was voided.

Yazu would wait and let the puppet begin sinking into him.  And he would let the bugs start to wrap around him when he would activate the jutsu he had prepared.  He may have lost from being hit with the shurikens but he wouldn't let this boy kill him and deprive him of what he fought for.  He had, in his mind fought brilliantly, though he knew it would not be seen that way by those around.  A moment later the puppet with the bugs would be hugging on a heartless corpse, that would be sliced and diced and spraying blood and entrails all over the field.

It was then the corpse of Chinou would stand, and slowly transfer back to Yazu's original appearance having swiftly transfered positions with the corpse and transformed into it earlier and using the substitution jutsu to absorb all of the damage, well not all of it, given that Yazu had to be close to his sub for the jutsu to work. Yazu would still have the wounds from the shurikens weighing him down.  Yazu had enough energy to stand and look at Malvoes just before being incapacitated.

Yazu stood limply with his arm across his body and holding his shoulder, "Congrats, Malvoes Ueno, you win today. Make sure you don't drop the ball against the other two pal,"  Yazu would exclaim as he fell on his face unconscious.  Malvoes could then decide to kill Yazu, though that would eat up, far too much time considering Malvoes knew nothing about Yazu's anatomy and would have to locate the hearts to destroy them, and given the other two enemies were now turning the eyes to this side of the battlefield Malvoes would have to think quickly, and would likely not have time to kill him.

Malvoes would smile at his opponent's handiwork, getting out of there was quite a feat rather admirable, he nods at his opponents words, half out of respect and half out of gratitude. He decided he'd leave him there, no use fighting an opponent that can't fight, down right disrespectful. 

Malvoes would adjust his body and turn to the last two opponents as Mantis returned to his side. He emitted another group of insects, (40) to his defensive swarm (now 110), as he gauges the distance from him and the other two, it was about twenty meters out, Malvoes's escapades had been going down near the edge of the arena, five meters from the water. Mantis is a meter and a half from Malvoes, on his left, with a low crouching position and Malvoes stands with his left hand out controlling the chakra threads with his ring, middle, and pinky finger. He has his right hand, gripping Hyst's sword, down to his side, not relaxed but just down.

Malvoes takes a breath as he watches the other two, waiting to see what they were up to, which was interesting, it seemed like the one ninja was trying to talk to Sandy Sanders. Which might be good, or bad, I'll just have to see.
