Hoping to Find a New Home
Mon Aug 03, 2015 7:54 am
Shinichi would have made up his mind about what village to join and would slowly approach the Hokage building nervously sweating. He'd hope that he'd get accepted and that he wouldn't possibly get rejected or even possibly killed for being a missing ninja. Although, he had never caused much trouble so that was unlikely to happen.
Shinichi would then end up walking through the door to the Hokage building and would begin to walk up the stairs. Once he had finally reached the top of the stairs he would approach the Hokage chamber's doors and would softly knock on them in hopes that the Hokage would still be in his office and wouldn't be busy with anything else.
Once he had knocked he would begin to wait for a response from the Hokage if he was there, if not he'd think that the Hokage was busy and that he should probably try again in a couple days. Although, time was not the matter. Shinichi just wanted to find a new home after all that had happened and in hopes that he could get stronger by meeting new people and learning new things from them.

Jason was sitting at his desk as usual. The Hokage's hat would be resting in front of him on the desk to the left of Jason. Nami, Jason's fox, would be curled up in her usual spot on top of a cabinet near the door to the office. It seemed like a normal day. Of course Jason could now sense a strange presence heading toward him. He wondered who it was that was coming to see him this time.
There was a soft knock on the door. "Enter." Jason would say as he sat straight up in his chair and folded his hands in front of him.

Once Shinichi had heard "Enter." He would slowly open the doors to the Hokage's chambers and would approach the Hokage's desk nervously. He would then begin to speak, "Hello Lord Hokage, I am Shinichi Yuka a Missing-Ninja who has been using Konoha as a refuge ever since the Kumo incident." Once he had spoke he would then feel a drip of sweat roll down his neck in worry that the Hokage would not hear him out since he is but a mere Missing-Ninja.

So it was a missing-nin today. That was a first. No others had yet approached him on their own since he had taken the seat as Hokage. It was a strange coincidence that this ninja would approach Jason just as he had made a decision on the problem he was having. He couldn't let the missing-nin continue to run around freely in his village. Jason wondered what Shinichi had to say.
"Hello Shinichi. I'm sorry to hear about Kumo. Because of recent events involving missing-nin I have to be careful. Tell me Shinichi, have you committed any crimes as a missing-nin?"
Shinichi's response to Jason's question would determine the boy's future. He hated to do it but if he had to he would kill the boy on sight. Hopefully things wouldn't get anywhere near that dramatic. Jason had decided that even if the boy had committed any crimes he would be allowed to stay in Konoha if he would confess and pledge to follow the rules. Depending on his answer and request, Jason may even be lenient enough to make Shinichi one of Konoha's ninja.

Shinichi would hear him greet him quite kindly and would answer his question truthfully, "No sir, I have never committed a crime in my life. I had only became a missing-ninja because of the chaos that had occurred in Kumo. Although, I came here for one reason and I'm sorry if this is too sudden and you don't know me but is it possible that I could become a ninja of Konoha? I feel as if it'd be a great place to call my home." Yutaka would feel as if he was coming off kinda rude but he wanted to get straight to the point really. Although, if the Hoakge did wish to talk to him he'd love to sit down and have a conversation with him. He'd really just like to get this all done and over with first and then cut to the small talk.

It seemed that Shinichi was thinking along the same lines as Jason. Jason was always happy to help and gaining more ninja for the village was never a bad thing. If he was being honest with himself he really didn't see a down side to this. Of course, it couldn't be an outright decision without any information.
"Tell me Shinichi, why did you chose Konoha to be your new home?"
It was a simple question, but the meaning would be clear. 'Why should I let you join my village?' was the true meaning. Jason was curious to hear what the boy had to say. He didn't seem dangerous and Jason's Kenbushoku Haki wasn't picking up any ill intent either. Jason wasn't worried. He made a mental note to ask for any information the boy had on Kumo currently as well. That would wait until Jason was absolutely certain about making him a Konoha ninja though.

Shinichi would answer the Hokage's question 100% truthfully and say, "I wish to join Konoha not only because it is a well developed and safe environment for me to learn but because of the ninja I have met over my time here. All of them are kind and accepting even if they do give of the wrong impression at first. I wish to join the village so that I may fight along side them and improve under their wing and so that I can also protect them with all of my might.." He would then finish speaking and would begin to smile at the Hokage, waiting for a response.

Jason smiled at Shinichi's words. He was glad to hear that his ninja have treated the boy well and welcomed him into the village. What Jason was most happy to hear was the fact that Shinichi wished to continue training with them and getting stronger so that he could in turn protect his new friends.
Jason would let Shinichi's words hang in the air for a minute as he thought about what to do. Not that it took long for him to decide. "Very well. Shinichi Yuka. From this point on you are now a Genin of Konoha, the Village Hidden in the Leaves." Jason would finally say to the boy with a smile on his face. This was a good day. Jason would wait to see if the boy had anything he wanted to say before continuing to speak. "I hate to have you relive that experience from Kumo, but please if you have any information that could help Konoha let it be known."

After a minute or two of waiting for a response he would hear Jason say,
"Very well. Shinichi Yuka. From this point on you are now a Genin of Konoha, the Village Hidden in the Leaves."
And straight after he said that Shinichi would let out a great sigh of relief and would begin to become more relaxed but suddenly that was replaced by the cold feeling of fear when Jason said,
"I hate to have you relive that experience from Kumo, but please if you have any information that could help Konoha let it be known."
Sadly Shinichi could do nothing more than tell Jason, "I have no information on Kumo, I am truly sorry for that. If I did I'd give it to you all right now. I was evacuated too early to learn anything, all that I know is Kumo is now ruled by the people who invaded it." And just with that Shinichi would let the room go quiet and would slowly look down to the ground, waiting to see what Jason would say about him fleeing Kumo.

So Shinichi didn't know anything more than what Jason already knew. It was apparent that he would not be able to get any more information from the boy on Kumo's current situation. That was fine. Jason would nod and tell Shinichi not to worry about it. Then, reaching into his desk, Jason would pull out a Konoha headband and hand it to Shinichi Yuka.
"Congratulations and welcome to Konoha. You're one of us now." Jason would smile reassuringly at the boy as he handed over the headband. He waited to see if Shinichi had anything else to say.
