The Blacksmith and the Kage
Wed Aug 26, 2015 2:07 am
The sun was somewhat high in the village sky, many of the villagers of the villagers making their way to and fro towards different destinations though one male in particular had been coming into the village from the deserts. Clad in comfortable shirt and training pants, Siegfried had just came from exploring the caverns of the Sands which were located not far from the village itself. Though his search was in vain on this day, he had continued to dive into the depths of the caves in search of precious minerals and ores in which he could use to create a sword for his later travels.
The silver haired male made his way to his next destination, the chambers of this lands leader, the Kazekage in order to seek an audience with him. His reasoning had been due to the recent call to ride towards haven to meet with the rest of his brethern, but Siegfrieds timing might have been...stretched. Given two weeks to get into a formidable fighting shape, thus his decision to meet with the Kage himself. If one were to search for a pillar of strength they would seek the one with the most power, or in his methods it would be a sound idea.
Within what passed as mere minutes he stood in front of the Kazekage administration building admiring its design before walking into the front door. His first actions being plausible would have been to present himself to the secretary if there had been one, addressing her kindly before asking if the Kazekage had indeed had time to meet with him. Providing the secretary had answered him, he would then escort himself to the Kage's chamber knocking on it in a greeting he had learned from a fellow villager called "Shave and a haircut , two bits"," Hello sir my name is Siegfried, Could i have a moment of your time to speak with you?," of course if he had been granted the permission to come in, he would slowly closing the door behind him and bowing to the male and sitting in a chair if their had been one.

Upon hearing the knock on his door, Koroshi smiles as he hoped that this would catch on after he told a villager about it. So he responds in kind, knocking twice on his table loudly enough for whoever it is to hear. When he hears the boys name and his request Koroshi begins to speak in a way that the boy could easily hear him "The door is unlock, come in" He would then wait for the man to walk into his office and to sit across from his newly made desk, matching the one Echo had made for him. With a smile Koroshi extends his arm outward toward him in a form of greeting "Well Siegfried, it is nice to meet you, what could I do for you today?" "Well Siegfried, it is nice to meet you, what could I do for you today?"

It took the young blacksmith a moment before he realized he could come in, the voice within the off of the Kazekage was his only indication as he walked in and before shutting to door in front of him he had given the bow, shutting it behind him as he walked closer towards the desk. His eyes scanned the room from left to right for a few moments before turning his head towards the male and smiling, his right arm extending to shake the hand that had so generously been extended towards him. His grip unlike most that he knew had been strong and firm, the result of his works within the forge hammering into metal. After shaking the kage's hand he sat down slowly, playing his hands into his lap and sitting straight as to look the male in his eyes as he spoke," Firstly I want to thank you for having myself and my brethren within your village. I've learned a lot from your people and i felt it was necessary to meet with their leader to express my gratitude. As that may be I also came here with another goal in mind. I wanted to ask you could you help me with a task," pausing for a moment he thought about the correct wording and the continued," I would like to ask your help in becoming stronger. Many of your ninja have been helpful but it has been a while since i have seen another to help in my growth. While I train myself effortlessly I feel as if it is better to acquire help if you want to grow and thus I am here to garner your training," his eyes stayed upon the Kage waiting for the male to speak.

Koroshi upon shaking the mans hand feels the roughness of it, as well as the strength he puts into the grip, this man is much like him, preferring to work more with his hands and such then anything, Koroshi respects this very much. Although when the man begins to speak, his words are very well spoken and thought out, as he begins to thank Koroshi for allowing him and his family to join his village, this a smile forms across his face "There is no need to thank me, I greatly enjoy having the Pendragon family within Suna, from what I have seen each of you are very well spoken, and are very kind not only to each other, but to the people of Suna as well." Koroshi says with a smile when there is a break in the mans words, should the man continue with what else he was saying however Koroshi begins thinking of ways that he could help the man grow in strength. From what he knew about the Pendragon clan, they were experts in Swordsmanship, and were able to recreate weapons and such that they have seen before. With these traits, and with what Koroshi works with he tries to see how he could help train him besides normal body conditioning.
"Well I would be more than happy to help train you, and to show you some things that I know, however, what do you need help to grow? Is it in Strength? Speed? or is it with your clan blood line? If I am going to assist you in your training, it think it would be best if we were on the same page on how you would wish to grow as a knight" Koroshi says as he views the man, waiting for a responds so that he can begin thinking on ways for him to train the Pendragon, if it is creation he can use his Doton to show him different weapons that he can use, if it is strength he can help show him many different ways where he increased his strength, and if it is Speed he can always have a race with him, or possible even do some light sparring to build up his reaction time

There had been a small smile growing on the face of the young Pendragon as he responded to the Kazekage," I have your people to thank for showing me such hospitality. They have shown me many new ways to craft items along with different ores and minerals that have allowed me to make the things I craft so much better. I see your people as a sort of extended family, and they reflect the kindness that the leader they are under exhibit as well," with each word he had shown his gratitude to not only the Kazekage himself, but that of the people that had helped him adjust to the elemental nations.
When the Kage had asked him what did he need help with in his training, the options were aligned with his cause though the question of how this would work also played within his mind. After a small moment of deliberation amongst himself he looked up to the Kage and nodded," All of which you had provided examples for would help in my pursuit to better myself as a man of my trade and as a Knight of my brethren. I would be greatly indebted to you if you would train me in the ways you see fit, for if i shall benefit from them then the results shall show for it," his voice had shown his anticipation and determination for whatever regime the Kage had for him, no matter the pain nor difficulty he could and would perform to his expectations and higher.

Hearing Siegfried's kind words, and how everyone in Suna has been kind to him makes Koroshi smile Well I am glad that the people of Suna have been treating you well" Koroshi says before asking what type of training he would like to do, in order to better himself as a knight. Although his reply is a bit strange to him, normally when people come to him asking for training they have an idea of what they want to work on, or they are having issues using a type of jutsu and Koroshi is able to help from that point going forward, but Siegfried is different, he is leaving how they train fully up to Koroshi. So giving this some thought he thinks on each would help him the most, he begins looking the man up and down, seeing his bone and muscle structure and how it is growing right now, he is spending a lot of time making weapons, and breaking down ore so he already has a good deal of strength with him, but he can see that he seems a bit quick as well judging from the looseness of his walk, and how his joints are not being slowed or held back by muscle mass.
"Hmmm as far as how to help you build your power up, and so that you can become a strength knight I think the best way for us to train is to do a little spar. Your body is already growing in the right direction, so if we put some skill in your swings, and in your combat abilities then I think that will help you the best" As Koroshi says this he stands up, stretching his arms behind his back some to have both them and his shoulders and back pop as he gets loose from sitting in the office all day. Should the boy agree Koroshi would exit out the window in his off by stepping to the edge of it, before leaping out, landing on the ground with a bit of a thud. Once he is on the ground he would begin to make his way to training ground five, it is a open area with different training equipment around, as well as practice swords and such like that.

The training regiment that Koroshi had petitioned had worked perfectly for him, the chance to not only be trained by such a man held in high regards by Arthur but also grow stronger was an opportunity he wasn't wasting. Walking over towards the window he looked down as he saw the crater caused by the Kazekage's jump and knew that he was yet in the position to do so. Instead he figured he try out a jutsu he had learned previously. As he had been demonstrated he attempted to pour his chakra to his feet as he stepped out of the window. His foot would lock onto the wall as he walked down slowly, almost falling a bit before catching onto how the jutsu worked and balanced himself.
He was good as a blacksmith, but when it came to shinobi techniques? Oh man he sucked terribly. Finally making into the bottom he would release the chakra from his feet and begin to walk towards the direction of the training grounds in which Koroshi had walked towards. With his understanding of the village being much better than it was when he first arrived here, he could effectively maneuver himself through it. Though it took him some time to actually get to the training grounds he made it in an orderly fashioned and looked around as he caught sight of a sword. Looking from the Kazekage to the blade he walked over and picked it up, observing its craft and metal before swinging it around a bit.
He had to admit that the blade was made with care and each swing had shown that its weight had been perfectly calculated. With a smile he continued to swing it around as if it was second nature before turning to the Kazekage," This blade was finely crafted. The weight and the make of the blade itself shows that it made with careful hands...A blade befitting the heart of the one that made it indeed," before he had lost himself in the thoughts of the blade he returned his gaze to the male," So where are we beginning by the way Lord Kazekage?," From this point he would leave his training in the hands of his teacher.

Koroshi watches as the man admires the craft of the blade, giving it a few swings as he tests its weight and balance, just by this Koroshi can tell his love for the blade so this training would be the best to hone his skill in battle, much like anyone from the Pendragon clan. After watching him for a moment and listening to his words Koroshi looks around the open field lightly dusted with sand, he would walk to the middle of the area the wind blowing past them causing some near by sand pockets to be shifted and moved around, some even getting caught in the air which would effect vision, after taken a moment to breath in the hot summers air and feel the sand lightly brushing against his skin he looks toward the young swordsmen "We will be training right here, you can come at me with whatever you got, I mainly want to see what skills you have as a swordsmen first, judging from that we can plan on ways to help grow those skills, and to round out any weaknesses you might have" As Koroshi says this he reaches behind him and into his leather jackets rear pocket, within it lies a single Kunai, Koroshi never likes using weapon but for emergency he always carries one with him just in cause he would need it for medical uses, or if he was fighting someone with a blade, and it would be too dangerous to fight using Taijutsu. After drawing his blade Koroshi would hold it out in from of him in a reverse grip in his right hand, his elbow would be bent slightly as his forearm is moved closer to his chest, the blade being pointed at a slight angle where the side of it would be facing the pendragon as the tip is pointed off to the right hand side. This is more of a defensive stance as he wants him to attack him with all of his might so that he can see his movements, speed, and strength behind his blade. After preparing himself Koroshi would give a grin to his sparring partner as he says the following words "Begin"

With his objective clear Siegfried had nodded and stuck the blade into the ground. During his time in the ninja academy he had learned a variety of basic jutsu that would be useful to him later down the line and seeing as it was one of the only four in his arsenal at the time he would use it. With haste he made the hand signs used by ninja in the form of Ram → Snake → Tiger, his hands making the semi familiar seals before two more clones of him appeared. While these were not solid they would do the trick in this form. Known for not resorting to tricks he would use this tactic to get in closer knowing that the Kage would be able to see through this ruse with ease. Taking his sword back into his hand, he ran towards the male, sword pointed in a diagonal form. The clones following suit would all attack the male at the same time, bringing the blade down towards his shoulder not in an attempt to cleave the male but instead to get a grasp on how he fought.

Koroshi watches as Siegfried sticks his sword into the ground, and begins to weave hand seals, at first he is slightly confused, from what he has told him he is a swordsmen, and that is what the two were going to be working on to see what he can do to improve his sword like skills, however after seeing the seals, Koroshi is able to guess the jutsu that he is using, it is the academy level clone jutsu. Knowing that these clothes do not have a solid form, and that they are just illusions, Koroshi takes this as Siegfried wanting to test his ninja like abilities with his own swordsmanship, these clones most likely meant to be a distraction so that he can get a sword strike in. However because he put his sword down before making the clones they will not have the sword, meaning that it is very easy to tell which is the real one, besides sensing their chakra levels of course. Watching as the three begin to charge at him Koroshi readies his Kunai which is still in front of him, when the sword comes at him Koroshi uses his right arm that has the kunai to push forward against his sword, however when he pushes his arm forward to complete this action he twists his wrist lightly to angle the kunai so that it makes impact on the side of the sword, rather then on the sharp end of it.
Once the blades have made contact with each other Koroshi would continue with his momentum, using just enough strength to push the blade off target, so that it slashes to the left of him, missing his body and causing all of the force and momentum that Siegfried had put into the attack to cause him to lose balance, given that he was running while striking, in stead of planting his feet first, and then striking. With Siegfried thrown off balance, and should he not do anything to catch himself he would either continue with the swing till it gets the ground, burying his sword in the ground, but not damaging it, or he would stumble forward to the left side of Koroshi, his sword being lower to the ground. Regardless of how he would react to his movements Koroshi would step to the side with his right leg, moving it 6 inches to the side, and 4 inches forward, when he steps Koroshi twists his body toward Siegfried, allowing him to easily keep an eye on him, as well as to make sure he is ready for any and all attacks that he might device to do next.
