Hado was doing a great job of looking bewildered, confused, and to be struggling with the current subject matters. While some would think that he was just a fairly good actor, they would be wrong, but not for the right reasons. He actually was a decent actor, however, his emotions were truly genuine, and he was not acting out how bewildered her questions made him, nor how confused he was about trying to control the lightning element, which was not at all to make the training time take longer, and he was definitely struggling with the current subject matters.
 
In fact, anyone examining closely, would notice that steam was beginning to rise from Hado’s small cranium, in alarming quantities. Yes, even the small little wisps would be alarming, as nobody was supposed to be steaming literally. Not at all.
 
Concentrating deeply, as deeply as a happy go lucky, and slightly bit of a dunce, he as Hado could go, he tried to feel out  the pulses, and eventually found they had a bit of a rhythm! “Miss Shika! They have a rhythm! The pulses!!! Yeah!!!!”
 
He began moving in rhythm to the pulses, which was jerky at best. This might actually catch his slightly senior off guard, if only because his movements were quite unpredictable.
 
Then he was flicked on the nose. And fell on his back, like the wuss that he definitely was.
 
Then he leaped to his feet, and began sprinting after his teacher, at all of a rather slow speed, not really anything special even for a normal human. Hopefully she did not take too long with this, or he would be in trouble. Slowly, a yellow field began to develop sporadically around different parts of his body, for brief moments. It was not much, but better than nothing.
 
He would try to pursue Miss Shika up the sides of the wall, after activating the chakra on his feet. Not that he was likely to catch her, he might have to lure her into a dead end.

((I'm so, so, really super sorry for not being able to reply. I'd love to give you a valid excuse, but to be honest, I have none. Rather than wasting your time with this OOC note, I'll just get straight to the actual post))

Shika watched as the boy chased her up the wall, unconsciously picking dirt from under her fingernails with a kunai. He was an interesting child, of that she was certain. But who said that had to be a bad thing? His speed was laughable- but that could be fixed with proper training. He had little skill with logic puzzles- but that could be easily fixed, too. She stretched her arms, putting the kunai back into her pocket. If she wasn't careful, the boy might actually start to grow on her.

She jumped forwards, stopping the surface walking technique, and aligning her body so that she would land with two feet on the rough and somewhat rocky ground below. It was no big deal; she'd survived bigger falls with minimal injury, and she wasn't too concerned with Hado being able to catch up with her. True to her word, unless he managed to trick her (which she though somewhat unlikely, but she'd keep an eye out, just to be sure), the only way possible to be able to make contact with her would be through lightning. The time constraint simply added pressure. After all, under stress was when people either grew their quickest or flunked out.

She tried to tell herself that she wouldn't care if Hado flunked out. 

But deep down, she knew that if he passed, she'd be just a little bit happier than if he didn't.

"Come on!" She called out to the boy. "Stop trying to catch me, and catch me!"

His lightning chakra flickered, visible to the naked eye often. Clearly this was the awakening of some powerful energy, just like in every other ninja who considered themselves a protagonist. Heck, the drama with this, even the guitar which was not quite far away began to radiate feedback just so that Hado seemed more impressive despite barely doing any thing to train the lightning element. So yep, he was supposed to be a natural talent at this merely because of his clan and such, and because, like many who considered themselves to be a protagonist, he was supposed to be boosted by some kind of plot armour. Obviously.

Anyways, enough with the cynicism.

Hado zipped towards Shika at his pathetically self loathing, horribly small or slow pace, his body moving in small fits and spurts as he tried to run up the wall, his electric chakra fluctuating wildly. It could be a good thing perhaps that none of the normal civilians were nearby to observe this strange phenomenon, but then again, with his erratic movements, it was unlikely they would be able to hurt him unless they managed to tie him down. Which was unlikely.

The little ten year old was burning with heat from the electrical chakra, it would likely burn up any ropes they launched at him, though it would not melt everything they launched at him. Like rocks. Those, he would be easily able to unintentionally dodge instead.

The air vibrated slightly, and shimmered as he ran, the heat distorting the very air.

By pure dumb luck, some of the electrical chakra began concentrating in one arm, circulating more and more rapidly, heck, his arm almost hurt, it was tingling a ton!

He climbed the side of the building using just his feet and chakra, attempting to approach Miss Shika.

When he felt he was unable to handle the electrical strain on his body any more, he tried to throw the electrical energy concentrated in his right hand, aimed at Miss Shika! Would it work? Time would tell!

Electricity was a very strange thing. Pure energy, condensed and traveling at the speed of light, which could be guided along through pathways- be they iron, chakra, or flesh. If you wanted to go even deeper, technically, electricity and light were the same: Electromagnetic radiation, and the laws of physics state that nothing is faster than light.

Granted, the wires slow it down a bit, but it was nearly impossible to dodge.

She sidestepped, she really did, but the electricity leapt and she felt a familiar, telltale tingle run up her arm. She examined her coat thoughtfully, inspecting the blackened patch that was her sleeve. Well, I won't be using this coat anymore, she thought to herself. She looked at Hado, raising an eyebrow. "See that?" she asked, and not waiting for an answer, she immediately followed up with another comment. "That was you. You can summon the lightning element- and even more impressively, manipulate it to a lesser extent. It's hard as hell to control, but sometimes, all it needs is a little push."

She stretched, taking off her coat, and yawned. Cracking a smirk, she tilted her head and crossed her arms. Her coat was now draped over one shoulder. "Was that so hard?"

In his excitement, Hado forgot to maintain his surface walking technique, and fell….
 
“WAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!”
 
Then a slightly sickening thud followed, as the ten year old impacted the ground, his trajectory directly interfering with that of the ground.
 
Then, when he heard Shika speak again, he bounced to his feet, the ground seeming to be more hurt than he was, due to the short distance he had fallen, his eyes bugging out as he realized the implications of what his teacher had said.
 
Then he started jumping for joy, running in little circles frantically waving his arms around. It was dizzying to watch, and frankly it could count as a basic taijutsu maneuver, due to the speed at which it was performed, but he was not here to learn about taijutsu was he? Nope, it was to work on the lightning element! If he could use it though, then he was on to something wasn’t he!
 
He began concentrating the lightning in his hand again, beginning to form a small sphere in one hand, but it was hard to say whether it would be of any real use, unfortunately.

Shika gave a small smirk, amused at the boy's antics. "You're not too bad, kid," she spoke, finally just deciding to cast the reddish coat off of her shoulders. It fell to the cobblestone floor below in a disgruntled heap below, but she didn't mind. Hell, Hado could take it if he wanted; the thing was old, and brought up awkward questions and memories that she'd rather avoid. She performed the taijutsu body flicker technique, appearing briefly in front of him. She flicked him playfully on the nose once more, before taijutsu flickering once more, until she was standing roughly five meters behind him. "I guess I'll see you around. If you need anything-" she gave him another smirk, although this one seemed not arrogant at all, but genuinely upbeat. "-give me a call."

With that, she sprinted off, performing the taijutsu body flicker technique until she disappeared amongst the crowds of Hoshigakure no Sato.

“Bai!!!” Hado jumped to his feet when he realized his teacher needed to leave. Why was none of his business of course. “Thanks for all your help!!!” He waved frantically, distracting some bystanders.  Hopefully she knew he was grateful, because he certainly was. No telling how long it would have been if he had to struggle through on his own!

And speaking of which… that coat looked like it needed a wash! Hado grabbed up the garment from the ground and ran off into the distance. Looks like he had a present to give back to her later. He did not know that she had deliberately left it behind though. He had learned a lot today though, that was certainly good. The lightning element should be within his command now, he should be able to use magnetism stuff soon.

As hado ran, the crowd of people going about their day within the village, their mass clogging the streets slightly but leaving openings for the boy to move through, would become more solidified. Every few feet it would seem like the crowd doubled in size until finally any running would be out of the question as any wishing to continue down the large generally open pathway was forced to squeeze past a sea of villagers crowding around an open point near the center of town. THis would seem strange.... If this weren't clearly a thread having Ash and Rei in it. So. I could tell you what happens next dear readers but what if instead we placed bets? Could it be a flight club refference with two tiny eleven year olds with spirit gum scars convicing the masses to engage in fisticuffs? No, That would probably get the guards called wouldn't it. How about an open panel on cosplay? In the middle of the street I doubt it. you are really really bad at geussing games so I geuss I'll just tell you.

In the center of the square, where once shops and free passage to move as you please was... There would now be a large stage. Somehow Ash had found the time and effort along with funds to purchase several very high powered spot lights, Two enormous speaker set ups that stood well past ten feet high on top of the stage and oh... Not to leave this out, an entire stage set up in the middle of a crowded city square. If i had to be honest, I'm just as baffled as you.

In the center of the stage stood the two girls, their dress quite strange for the village, though not at all out of the norm for Ash. Ashareial stood on the left of the stage, Her long pink wig seeming to release a sea of beautiful slightly curly hair across her chest and back.... Which was good becuse there wouldn't seem to be much else across her chest. The outfit she'd chosen was intricate, most likely something she'd seen in a dream. It was red that faded to orange past her hips, completely open in the center almost like a one piece bathing suit gone wrong to reveal what little cleavage she'd gained at her young age and went down a little past her belly button to reveal pristine white skin. At her hips were two star like pieces of fabric, orange on the outside with black in the center that connected sevaral long strips to make a dress like trane. She wore thigh length stockings that covered most ofher legs, a few inches of her thighs open, and on her arms were two arm warmers that went just a little past her elbows with long bits of cloth similar to the traine of her dress that flowed as she moved.

Her sister however wore waht would be easily assumed to be a balerina's dress in deep purples and black. It too was open in the chest, though a loose netting connected the center of it giving a fish net design to her stomach and chest. At the shoulders of her dress were what would look almost like armored shoulder pieces made of pale purple crystals. her hair was a slightly lighter shade of pink that in the right light could be mistaken for a white color and her shoes were exactly what you'd expect when seeing a balerina. They clung tightly to her feet just barelly up to the heel, made of soft black silk and adorned with long purple and black ribbon that laced it self up her calf to tie just below the knee. Now, if this wasn't enough to send the entire world into a unified what the fuck.... Yes, you geussed it. Just as Hado approached the speakers clicked on with a warm hum and the two began to sing in a harmonic duet.

"Saita, no no hana yo.
Aa douka, Oshiete okure
Hito wan naze, Kizutukeatte,
Araso-u no, Deshou."

Ash would begin the soft spoken long emotional piece, hands pulled tightly against her chest, eyes cast down against the ground and what would look like the glistening of tears trailing down her cheek as she sang, passing the next section to her sister.

As Ash began the last line Rei raised up on her toes, hands set finger to finger as her arms made an oval shape before her. Her left leg streatched out before her, her right arm raising up with joints locked to emphasize the tightness of the maneuver, and with a spin she would cross the distance to lean down, raising up to meet her sisters face, one hand cupping the girl's chin. What amazes me is that through all of this..... not only has Rei accepted the rediculous idea.... But she somehow has learned the exact movements and how to do ballet in a matter of..... Yes, it was twenty minutes that I took on lunch and they were left unattend.....ah. Ash is controling rei with chakra strings. Makes sense.

"Oh, flow-er, that bllooms with the asphalt,
What can you, se.... from there?

They would split apart, Ash pulling away, hand across the top of her head as if she were going to faint, Rei following suit to pull her hands back inward and together at her chest before taking two more long leaping bounds to close the distance Ash had gotten in her own maneuvers. Ash's movements were short but calculated steps, her knee raising slightly, toe pointed to take short but quick steps, back turned towards her sister. Ash would lean forward, left arm tracing down her leg to stop at her knee, right arm raised up into the air with her fingers slightly pointed behind her, her head turned enough to see the other girl in her peripheral and after two long bounds Rei caught up, following suit. Her body pressing against the other girls, fingertips sliding from shoulder to tip of her sisters fingers before they interlaced.

"Ame ga, sugite natsu wa,
Ao, wo utsushita,
Hitotsu ni na-atte.
Chii-saku yureta,
Watashi no Mae de.
Nani mo i-wazu ni..."

At the end of the phrase the music got a bit heavier, the tone switching from soft piano to emphasize solidarity to a darker electronic sound that brought chaos to the piece. Two lines of red could be seen across the back of Ash's forearm, indication that the balerina had cut into her flesh with something and deep red flowed across her arm streaking with the girl's movement. The moment the cuts were finished Rei would sit back in her stance, Her lead leg pushing into her sisters back and sending her sprawling to land in a ball against the wooden stage. Rei once more curled her hands inward before turning them to the crowd, drawing a loud gasp from the spectators as she revealed two long sharp single finger gauntlets whose nails were edged like a kunai. She set the tip of her lead toe down against the stage, planting in her position in what would look a bit like a cat stance, both hands still crossed and turned to the audience as a wicked smile crept across her lips. In one fluid motion Ash pushed her against the stage with her hands, which laid flat against what was beneath her, thrusting her upper body upward to the full length of her armspan, her legs seeming to be curled and tied up beneath her, and whipped her hair about once to allow it to fall mostly on one side of her head, laying against the front of her shoulder.

"What. do, you-ou think,
when. your, friends wilt?
With those leaves, that do not carry words,
How do, you con-vey love"

In a slide Ash was up, her arms pushing her towards her sister as her legs shifted, her body flipping over to allow the toes of her feet to set against the ground for barelly a second before pushing off to grant her traction, sending her rushing towards rei with balled fists and anger filled eyes. She threw an over exagerated punch at the girl aimed at the side of her face which was blocked easily by Rei's open hand in a knife hand block, stopping her momentum and allowing for a counter. With all of the poise of her character She would spin on toe tip, one leg flaring out only to curl in at the knee, her toes touching against her leg as she spun twice to build momentum, dodging another two strikes by shifting her body to the left and then right before releasing a kick that sent the girl falling once more, her body spilling like milk against the wood only to slide on open palms for a few inches before she could stop. Her sister's voice ressonated from the large stack of speakers cold and emotionless as she struck the girl, her glare piercing through the cloud as her gaze turned towards them with her opponent temporarily dispatched. The curve of her lip was sinister drawing another commotion of gasps and surprise from the crowd who fell silent as Ash once more pushed her hands against the staging to raise up and face her attacker. The heir of suspense was allowed to flow through the onlookers for several moments as a musical interlude perfectly combined the solidarity of the first verse with the cruel chaos of the second, building up to the finale that the crowd was on seat's edge to see.

"Natsu no, hi wa kagette,
Kaze ga nabiita,
Futatsu kasanatte,
Ikita akashi wo,
Watashi wa utaou
Na mo naki mono no...."

Whispers begged for movement as the two seemed to be frozen in time but Ash... Well she wasn't ever one to leave her addoring fans wanton. This time Ash would roll foward, setting her feet more firmly against the ground and crossing the short distance between them easily as she began to sing, her voice filled with resolve to defeat this cruelty before her. As she rose up, using her back leg as a springboard she sent a powerful kick at her opponent that proved her flexibility, floating past the girl's shoulders to aim at Rei's head, only to be blocked by a flick of the girls wrists, locking her left arm in an L formation that absorbed the blow, but Ash wasn't done yet. She pulled the kick back half way before sending it back inside the girl's guard with a hook kick aimed at the center of rei's chest that conected, sending her back two steps and breaking the fluidity in which she'd been moving up to now. Ash's heel slammed against the stage, spinning her around one full turn and where her feet had once been sparks lit up, creating a ring of fire for several seconds before she was off, pushing towards her sister to leave the small flames to slowly die out.

Rei Reset her position, arms at waist level, hands fingertip to fingertip to prepare for her counter attack but Rei seemed too fast. From her rest position Rei sent a foward chop at ash's throat, the red clad girl ducking it easilly to slip inside her sisters guard once more and throw another powerful strike, open palmed at the center of Rei's chest. It sent her flying backwards to hit the ground hard, another small trail of fire lighting up where Rei connected with the stage, igniting a two foot long line before she skidded to a stop. Ash was on her the moment she went into the air, her forward momentum quitting out the flames as she passed them and pulling back a final attack she struck with an open handed strike that stopped moments before the girl's face, her shirt gripped in Ash's free hand.
