Team 9 Unite!
Tue Dec 01, 2015 12:19 am
Kaneki did not waste anytime when he found he had been assigned to a new squad. In fact for the first time since he has become a Genin he felt that he was finally making some progress. The sun had yet to rise over the horizon when the boy was tying his headband over his forehead. After making sure it was secure he pulled his hood over his white hair, allowing it to hang right over his headband. Kaneki turned towards his door and quickly made his way downstairs and onto his street. Before the young Genin could make it to his destination he was stopped by his father, who stood at the bottom of the stairs.
Hideki Itchki was one of the most brooding individuals that Kaneki had ever known, and he was his father to boot. Trying not to pay him any mind he simply walked forwards and arched a brow at him. "Hey Dad, uhm....do you need something?" The older man simply shook his head before speaking up, his stern yet soft voice causing Kaneki more annoyance than he originally suspected. "You need to be careful with your new team. Remember, a shinobi is always prepared for betrayal, even from those closest to him. Especially from those closest to him." The background to his father's attitude was still a mystery to the boy and honestly he did not care to unravel it, so long as he kept it to cryptic speeches and brooding looks it did not bother the Genin.
After nodding and passing his father Kaneki stepped outside and looked down the street, past the buildings and shops, eyes falling on the statues of the previous Hokage. He had never cared to see his face stamped upon the great stone surface, but he his one dream was to gain the title of Anbu, becoming a special assassin and bodyguard to the lord Hokage. After glancing around the street Kaneki made his way to the training grounds, their designated meeting place. The other two boys were of the Uchiha clan and that alone was something that his father had shown heavy disapproval of. Like many of the older members in the Senju clan there was a deep rivalry still hosted in the two clans. The rivalry had not made it to Kaneki no matter how hard his father had tried and in the end there was only a great amount of embarrassment. He smiled before continuing onto the next street, the shops were all beginning to open and Kaneki marveled at the different weapon shops that had recently opened up. It was most likely because of the new string of Genin who had graduated from the academy, the amount of recent graduates meant more customers.
It did not take Kaneki more than ten minutes to reach the training ground, as he looked around he exhaled, realizing he was the only one who had arrived so far. Generally Kaneki was early to his meetings, even though he was not the most social of ninja he felt being late was simply wasting everyone's time.

A chef at nature yen merely began cooking early as he kissed hota and his two new borns as he left home. For duty called as the chuninn called forth his many mornings of early cooking was to pay off as he was going to come out with a bang. As the clostest of his friends know it as his spicy ramen combo made up of weird black pepper and more so several other local spices as well as some sweet jelly filled roasted dough balls held within a close compacted chamber that being his heavy large steel vat carrying enough food to fill and feed a group of hungry geninn and himself to be fair. Yen set out to the training grounds straw hat on and fresh bandage over where his left eye.
Now not many may know of yen as an individual but he was a man known as his duty being held high and further his heart for the village as he deemed himself more so a sheild of the village with his grand toughness to handle most things pretty well. As he normally was one to talk things through using his philosophy as his greatest weapon despite his great knowledge in genjutsu that was ever expanding. his notes on the art as well as the art of chakra and the mysterious forces of yin/yang as most of his personal time has been delving into the depths of the art and discover the mysteries behind it as his personal hunger was knowledge and gaining the strength to protect his village as he put the work as his contributions to the village. But most things required work beyond what most would call usual training.
Having arrived at the grounds yen noticed the figure of a young man as he hid his insects inside him As he noted and greeted the man young man with a smile. " hey what's up and what brings you here today?" Yen smiled as his one eye studied the young man

Sunlight pierced the window of Ita’s bedroom, but unlike every other day Ita was not in bed, but he was already awake. The boy stood in the doorway of his room, almost ready to leave. Ita was wearing a gray cloak over his white shirt and black pants. Ita ran his right hand through his messy, jet black hair in an attempt to make some sense of it, but it was no use. Ita possessed the Uchiha’s genetics and bore similar traits to his ancestor; appearing as a perfect specimen of his clan. Underneath Ita’s loose white shirt were two ninja weapon pouches which contained various tools and items. His Konoha head band also was strapped to his waist because he didn’t like wearing it on his forehead because it didn’t look flattering to him. Ita made his way from the doorway of his room and exited his home which had been deserted lately because Sai had been very busy with missions and Dante and Kimaru had decided to return to their homes as well after their previous journey.
Ita exited his home, the sun’s warm rays illuminating Ita’s pale complexion. Ita had felt very lonely lately, but today that would hopefully change because he was finally assigned to a team. Team nine. Ita liked the number nine for some reason, but he couldn’t put his finger on why. The boys pace was brisk because he was eager to finally meet his new team mates, his cloak flowing slightly behind him as he walked. He was supposed to be meeting them at the training grounds today and Ita hoped he wouldn’t be the last one there because he hated to keep people waiting. He couldn’t help but wonder what they might be like and who their leader might be? It had been sometime since Ita had been active in the village since graduating the ninja academy because he had been so busy with training he had almost forgotten all of the faces of his fellow peers. Ita longed for some companionship and to find his place in the village. His mind raced with the endless possibilities this new experience would bring, even though it was just the first day and he had yet to even meet his fellow team mates. Ita hoped they would accept him. He would do his best to push his teammates to be the best they could be, and Ita hoped they would do the same for him. He also hoped that their leader would be knowledgeable as well as strong. Before he could get anymore ahead of himself by over thinking the situation, Ita noticed he had almost past the training grounds.
Ita took a deep breath and then exhaled while holding his head up high. The boy came into view of the training grounds and in return he could see the silhouettes of two more individuals. As he got closer he could make out their appearances and was a little unsure of who they could be. Were these his teammates? Was one of them their leader? Ita had never met these individuals before, but if they were indeed apart of team nine, he could do his best to make a good first impression. Ita’s face was usually blank, but for a brief moment happiness illuminated his face which was a bit odd. Maybe it was a front to make his team mates perceive him as an upbeat individual? Regardless of the situation, Ita confronted the two males and spoke, “Team Nine?” If they were in fact a part of team nine, Ita would then introduce himself to them as “Ita” even going as far as shaking their hands. Now they were just waiting for one more.

Rolling out of his bed the boy was met by a number of aches and pains coming from his muscles, no doubt the result of his constant training. Sitting on the edge of the bed he turned his head to take a peek at the clock that had just awoken him from his slumber, 'I know I didn't set the alarm... ugh I guess mom forgot I was taking the day off.' As he was already up Kaze figured he might as well get on with his day. One of these days he might actually get to rest, but then again he probably wouldn't.
The boy now finished with his normal morning routine headed down the stairs, upon reaching the bottom he eyed a small envelop lying on a table in the hallway. Being that this was where his mother always put any mail that belonged to him he didn't hesitate tearing the letter open. Skimming its contents he was shocked to see that he had been assigned to a team, Team nine, and they were supposed to be meeting today. 'Oh great I'm going to be late.' He thought rushing out of the house grabbing his headband and weapons pouch as he hurried out of the door. 'Thanks, Mom.' A smile finding it's way onto his face as Kaze started to head towards the training ground where his team was supposed to meet at.
Halfway to his destination he immediately regretted his decision to not eat breakfast just because he might be late, now if they ended up training or something something that required him to put forth effort he'd be sluggish. 'Guess I'm still sleepy, I'm normally not so negative and not eating has never bothered me before.' Picking up his pace to wake himself up a little the boy began a brisk jog towards his destination taking in the the normal sights of the village as he went. It was a beautiful day that he had expected to enjoy by relaxing but being assigned to a team was something he had been looking forward to ever since he graduated from the ninja academy. He hoped his team would get along well, it would be extremely annoying if all they did was bicker and they probably wouldn't make a very good team, speaking of the team Kaze's mind wondered to who exactly he had been paired with, being teamed with some powerful ninja would benefit the Uchiha greatly as they would push him as he would do to them.
Nearing the training grounds the boy could see three people were already there, giving the hint that he was definitely late. Quickly giving himself a once over he took in his appearance consisting of a loose long sleeved dark blue shirt, white shorts, and his white ninja sandals. His legs were completely covered by ninja tape and his headband, which was white as well hung loosely from his neck. Walking towards the group he took in all of their features, two of the figures were unfamiliar but the one with a hood on his head Kaze had seen somewhere before but at this moment in time was unable to remember his name. Upon reaching the group the boy flashed a toothy closed eye smile rubbing the back of his head sheepishly, "Kaze Uchiha, sorry for being late. I didn't find out about this until this morning; anyways it's nice to meet all of you."

The stranger that approached Kaneki had been someone that the young ninja had never seen. Before allowing a response the white haired boy simply shrugged. "I was assigned to a team, team 9, and I'm waiting for the the rest of my new team mates. He could not help but glare towards the empty road, more than bored with his current position. Only moment later another shinobi had made his way towards the group, he introduced himself as "Ita," by his features it was easy to tell he was one of the Uchiha that was on the boy's team.
When he walked over towards him Kaneki simply looked to his extended hand and offered a small wave. While he had no problem with working with Uchiha he still found some of them to be annoying, but he decided to reserve his judgement for a later time.
After a few more minutes the last member of the newly formed team nine arrived and Kaneki simply smirked to himself, realizing that he knew the second of his teammates he figured this might actually be interesting. Kaneki turned his attention to the other three, wondering when they wold begin their missions together.

Yen placed down his heavy pot and even with one eye took note of the young ninjas that stood around him. so this will be fun to handle. Some know each other others meeting for the first time. Excellent!. So by what I read there were perhaps two uchiha and a senju. Senju like akki now that's cool. Further they seem very settled or awake as it seems. One late fresh from the bed. The other two close to on time. Well late doesn't matter here they have to gain some pretty hefty teamwork to get by things in life. Further despite abilities and skills they must be able to communicate and act without hesitation or if hesitating better come up with something. Ah we shall have some fun now. yen taking off his straw hat leaned against the tree and brushed some sweat off his forehead as he looked over at the first person to arriveand nodded."So a four man genin cell it is? Man where are all of the chuninn? Some are late I hear. Others are lazy. But since it's first day to training I'm curious to what missions we can all do? Hmmm"
Yen squinted at the boy with the hood and shook his head slightly squeaking a little. "Why hide your face from your fellow teammates what is your disire to be a ninja and why? I want to be a protective ninja who wishes to keep our home and village of konoha safe. Although things are often tricky to grasp at times." Yen went quiet for a few seconds before sporadically bursting out. "This chuninn is taking forever! We should begin a quick warm up just in case!. You two!" Yen proceeded to use his annoyed voice as he adressed the boy in the white shorts and the the boy with the grey cloak. "What are your three favorite colors? for white shorts there, And you! What is your favorite food grey shroud? My favorite color is blue for water, gold because it's gold, and sky blue for a special reason. I love telly filled fried dough balls as they are delicious. You can have some just note that 4 of them are poisioned and you cannot open them To check. If you do I'll get annoyed. Laxatives fill the noodles but if you are hungry enough that means nothing. And further I want to make a pastery the size of a dinner plate. Hm perhaps filled with Apple bits of an exotic fruit... Or some cream! "
Yen then went immediately calm as his sudden outburst went back into a calm demeanor as he turned his head between the three genin. This was giving him a good guage of their reactions and assumptions as he awaited their introductions.

Ita had extended his hand to greet the boy with the white hair, but he merely offered a wave in response. Feeling somewhat awkward, Ita retracted his hand and let it fall to his side. Ita’s attention no longer lied with the boy in white hair as he shifted his attention to the other individual who was baring a rather large pot, which Ita thought to be quiet peculiar. Next, another boy arrived wearing a hood. Ita could tell that this boy looked similar to himself. Ita though, ‘Could he be an Uchiha too?’ However, Ita didn’t bother to ask because his question was answered the minute he arrived and spoke, introducing himself as “Kaze Uchiha”. Ita thought, ‘At least this one spoke.’ Ita didn’t bother to extended his hand again in the case that he would be ignored once more, but instead offered a “Hello.” And “I’m Ita” Leaving out his clan’s name. Ita thought this was going to be very interesting.
Ita’s attention was now directed towards the older boy who had brought a heavy pot along with him. He was speaking towards the boy with the white hair who didn’t bother to relay Ita’s his name. He said something about a four man team which had caught Ita off guard. Weren’t teams supposed to be comprised of only three genin and a leader? Ita was a little confused, but his face didn’t seem perplexed at all. Instead, he listened to the boy speak and when he asked him what his favorite color was, Ita decided to entertain him, although he was acting a bit strange. “Well, favorite color is green of course. Just like this leaf.” Ita, snatching a leaf that had been conveniently caught in the light breeze and making its decent to the ground from a nearby tree. Ita then held it up so the others could observe, Ita’s eyes twinkiling as it resembled Konoha’s insignia which was engraved on their headbands. Once he began speaking about how the contents of his pot was filled with food, but it was contaminated; Ita had lost his appetite which was slim to begin with. Instead, Ita polited refused although he thanked him for the offer. Although, this could just be because Ita couldn’t tell if he was joking or not. Ita was a pickiy eater anyhow so he choose to stay away from foreign objects that might upset his stomach. It was better to train on an empty stomach anyways, and reward your hard training with food afterwards. Ita thought it kept you from being sluggish.
Now that everyone was here, Ita figured he should now ask the boy with the white hair his name, so everyone could know. “So what is your name?” Ita asked, directing his attention towards him. After he would introduce himself to Ita and the others, Ita would then question the shinobi with the pot. “And you?”

Mere seconds into meeting his team Kaze was very confused, but did he do a good job of covering it so well that only he would know how lost he was. The boy with the pot had managed to confuse Kaze with his first six words, 'I could have sworn teams consisted of three genin and then a leader of a higher rank.' However the boy with the pot continued talking before the young Uchiha could truly get into his thoughts so he pushed it from his mind for now instead focusing on the next time someone spoke to him.
'White shorts, is that me?' Once again he was lost; taking a subtle glance at his own clothes he was wearing white shorts but the boy who had introduced himself as Ita answered the question Kaze thought was his. A puzzled thought floated through the boys head at the question that had just been spoken, 'I can't be grey shroud, can I? I'm wearing blue after all.' Just then a great idea popped into his head as the boy with the pot finished up his outburst. "My favorite colors are white as you can probably tell, blue, and red for no particular reasons. I don't have a favorite food, although I would prefer for the things that I eat not to have side effects." There if he answered both questions he couldn't be wrong.
Kaze could tell he might have his hands full with the boy across from him who had just had a sudden outburst, but if he didn't think too much into the things being said he would have a chance of avoiding confusion. Other than the boy with the pot his other two teammates seemed to be rather normal, the boy with the hood whom Kaze had met before had come off rude the first time they ran into each other but maybe things would be different this time around. As far as Ita, he seemed to be the most like Kaze especially in appearance, 'Maybe he's and Uchiha?'
Seeing that no one was currently talking to him Kaze simply stood there taking in the scene unfolding in front of him. Ita had just asked the name of the boy with the hood, 'Hmm, what was his name Kataki? No, that's not it. Neki?' The white clad Uchiha was intrigued to find out the name of his teammates, yet no one would be able to tell from the flat look on his face.

Listening to the exchange between the other ninja one thing had caught Kaneki off guard. There were four people here and none had claimed to be the team leader, so it was very possible one of the boys was actually just pretending to be a Genin. When he thought about it he exhaled, not sure how to feel about the situation. When one of the shinobi brought his line of inquiry to Kaneki the Genin could not help but shrug in response. "I wear my hood because I want to."
When he asked about Kaneki's desire as a shinobi the boy answered simply. "I want to become on of Lord Hokage's Anbu." He found the ninja he spoke to be almost amazingly annoying. While he had no care to ignore him or even argue he still felt that something was a bit off about the situation. One thing was for sure, he was already growing skeptical of his new squad.
After a few more minutes he heard another of the Genin, Ita, ask his name. Kaneki was quickly growing bored of what they were doing but he answered regardless. "Kaneki Itchki."

Ok so they all got this test wrong... atnd a anbu as an disire. Clearly he seeks much but should his action prove otherwise there is potential to be a head in such a situation. But anbu change their ways, boredom on the make shift of things and most importantly fellow ninja you trust us not a sure felt sign of leadership. We shall make him into the first steps perhaps even break him a bit. This we will see in due time kaneki. yen thought as he glanced at the boy speaking lazily his aim true yes but he didn't awnser all the questions. Further he only gave a brief glance into the subject. A goal of rank makes sense but was he able to harness the will to climb the hard ladder. Consideration only comes to the best of the best. and wills of fire burn within them. These thoughts yen went with in consideration as he replied to the other boys question. As he dropped the annoyed voice and got to a serious tone making sure to keep his chakra in check with his dissapointment.
"So first off you guys failed your first test. To awnser all questions despite the silliness is a must. You asked questions in the academy no? You ask and awnser all and any questions especially your dream goals. You embody what's necessary and it means nothing wether or not you have an motive or your own method. You are to work as a team no matter what. It might be early but awake and full strength is the goal of team 9. We are not to falter and will be the ones to perseverance even if all others flee we will be a shield of the village no matter what. Now again I'll ask you to awnser all questions and explain why it's your ninjas creed to go the path you choose to follow. You live by your way and die by your way in the ninja world. If you want to protect konoha which is why you guys are here. Then you better steel yourselves for the world. Missions are one thing but the real deal when it requires the safety of your village is a who other thing. You will have powerful even frighteningly so powerful individuals that will come and go but we are konohagure ninjas we abide by our rules and regulations, and we watch all who approach us. This is your duty here. And I'm surprised that despite how I asked them you guys didn't answer all three questions. Anyone who adresses you stresses all of konoha, just like if they threatened konoha they threaten yourself. You do not snuff out half a flame. It's either all or nothing. Now from the top. Exit out that gate and greet your team like family and awnser all three questions once more. Fully. Am I understood you three? now proceed and start over once more. We will do this all day till you get down each name, like and dislike down and embed each person's path as a shinobi and their willingness to the village. Respect your team from waking moment to dying breath."
Yen gazed at the three with his one yellow eye as underneath his straw hat it would look sinister in a sense especially with the bandage covering his left eye, yet they needed to follow exact orders and not improvise. As a team respect was the greatest aspect needed for grand teamwork and further as he saw it yen only noted the fact they were too focused upon themselves and not each other. to think first thing I wake up is three unruly genin not learning about one another and distantly greeting one another. They will trust each other's with their lives and further the village on their shoulders as well. Unacceptable. Thank goodness I'll have them work as a team later today because what will they gain as they grow with no teamwork. They are gonna learn good that's for certain. yen thought as he tapped his foot on the ground expectedly.
