Re: I knew you'd show up (p, Jace)

“Well, I’ve always admired the beauty of crows. In fact, I used the transformation technique to turn into a crow for my genin exam. Ita here has shown me a technique of his using crows twice and I was curious about it myself. If you would allow it, I would like to sign a contract with you so that I can learn and grow alongside the crows.” Said Jace.
Ita and the old crow both listened contently. After Jace finished, it couldn’t help but think how well he responded. The boy may actually have a shot in convincing the old hag to let him sign the contract. Ita would have never been able to do it on his own if it wasn’t for his previous sensai. Funny how things work out. The student was now becoming the teacher. Ita never of thought it would come to this. Ita just guessed this is what came with power; referencing his rise in shinobi ranking, came great responsibility. The bird also watched as Jace spoke, trying to convince the crow of his worthiness. Lucky for Jace, the bird really did have a thing for Uchihas and Ita had no idea why. The crow fidgeted as the boy spoke. There was a brief moment after Jace’s explination where the crow simply staired the boy down, seeming to be trying to make up his mind and then the moment of truth. The bird spoke.
“Very well. Whatever it takes to get you both to leave me alone.”
The bird’s tone of voice seemed a bit more chipper. Ita figured he was flattered and didn’t want to admit it. Old people; or things for that matter, had a weird way of going about things Ita thought. On that note, the old bird began to ruffle his feathers and spread its wings, stretching for a moment. Next, the bird began to flap its wings and with a gust of dust, the bird took off high into the sky. Despite the birds age, it moved fairly fast. I guess you don’t become the guardian or leader or whatever it’s called, of a species for no reason. During this time, Ita’s crow clone had reverted back into crows and they were picking at the ground in search of food, as Ita’s crow clone technique was indeed comprised of at least 10 living crows. The old crow had flown so high into the sky that it was gone from sight, leaving Ita, Jace, and Ita’s crows to stand around for a few moments. In this time Ita spoke to Jace, “Well, that went a lot better than I expected it to go. You’re in! Now you can use crows like me and I can teach you cool stuff.” There were still a few more moments of silence before the old bird returned. In this time, Ita would really examine Jace, from head to toe. Making mental notes that the boy was clearly a year or two older than him. Ita wondered if the boy had activated his sharingan yet.. If he hadn’t, Ita wouldn’t judge. Not one bit. Ita understood the unlocking your sharingan had something to do with feeling great pain. Ita began to day dream while looking off into the sky for the bird. Ita had unlocked his sharingan the first time he witnessed the death of someone he loved. The second time was when he was fighting one of his rivals and he needed to rely on it to overcome the battle. The third, well the third is when Ita relised how much he relied on the power of his eyes. His reliance had made Ita venture into assembling a plethora of different jutsu. Ita didn’t like how he relied on the power of his eyes to do what he had done in the past, although he would not hesitate to use the sharingan in the future. To be perfectly honest, Ita did not know much about his eyes; except the fact that they granted him great visual power; completely igonorant of anything such as clan members killing their best friends for the mangekyou. Such a thing would never cross Ita’s mind to kill a beloved friend, especially after feeling such pain and loss from losing almost everyone up until now.
The next thing Ita knew, a black spec appeared in the sky and was heading right towards them. As the bird got closer, Ita could see with his keen eye sight the large, old scroll being held tightly in the old birds talons. The bird then swooped down gracefully, coming within feet of the group, the other crows scattering on the ground to make way for their respected leader; which was weird because Ita had never seen crows act in such a way. The bird was now hovering about a foot off the ground, scroll in talon. The bird then released its grip and down came the scroll, making a ‘thud’ sound as it hit the ground. Immediately as it hit the ground, it began to unravel, stopping at the next available spot right in front of Jace as though it was magic. The old crow spoke, loudly this time so that he could be heard over the sound of his flapping wings, which eventually came to a halt as he landed on the ground.
“Now just sign your name in blood and press your hand against the parchment, make sure not to mess up!”
The bird squawked at Jace. Ita watched with excitement.

Jace could feel the old crow's eyes boring into him as Jace waited for a response. The sheer void of color in them made Jace feel as if the crow could see directly into the depths of Jace's sould. It was a completely unsettling feeling and made him shiver at the thought of it. After only a brief moment, something that felt like an eternity to Jace, the crow spoke. It said something about doing whatever it took for Ita and Jace to leave the bird alone. Despite the words it used, the old crow seemed more chipper than it had when it had first spoke. Maybe he was flattered by what Jace had said. Maybe he was just finally enjoying the fresh air. Maybe he had just simply gone senile. Who knew. One thing was for certain though, Jace had seemingly convinced the crow.
After saying he would do whatever it took to get rid of them, the crow took off into the sky. It was a lot quicker than Jace had anticipated. It was certainly more agile than most crows Jace had ever seen which was definitely a feat to be acknowledge considering how old and decrepit it looked. Soon the bird was a tiny speck in the sky and then it had disappeared altogether leaving Jace utterly confused. He turned his puzzled face to look at Ita, hoping for some kind of an explanation. What he got instead were words about that going better than Ita had expected and that Ita could teach him cool crow stuff now. This didn't help to lessen Jace's confusion at all. He thought he was supposed to sign some sort of contract or something. He was about to say as much when the old crow returned carrying an old, tattered scroll between it's talons.
The bird dropped the scroll which immediately began to unravel, stopping perfectly in front of Jace so that he was looking down at the very next available spot to sign. Jace looked from the scroll to the old bird who then told Jace to sign his name in blood and press his hand to the scroll. Alright. Jace put the first finger of his right hand between his teeth and bit down hard causing a trickle of crimson to spill forth. He used the blood on his finger to sign his name as he was instructed. When he was finished he placed his right palm onto the scroll. When he removed his palm Jace could clearly see his palm print etched into place.
"So is that it?"

Re: I knew you'd show up (p, Jace)

“So is that it?”
Jace would ask, his question not specifically directed to either Ita or the crow, more or less him just trying to figure out what was going on, Ita thought.
“That is it.”
Said the old crow as it ruffled its feathers once more, straightening its legs and stretching his neck out.
“I must be going. Ita can show you what to do from here. It was nice seeing you again.”
The bird would say to Ita. The next thing Ita knew, the bird had vanished in a puff of white smoke, which had gotten in Ita’s face. Ita tried to fan the smoke with his right hand until it dispersed. The scroll had disappeared with the bird as well. “Well that was fast.” Ita would say to Jace, who was able to convince the old crow to let him sign the contract. Now Jace and Ita were the only two that Ita knew about that were capable of summoning crows. Ita figured he would have to eventually show jace how to do it, but that would be another time. Today, they were working on finishing up a few ninjutsu so Jace could properly protect himself in case he got into some trouble and Ita was not there.
On that note, this got Ita thinking some more. The crow’s Ita summoned earlier for his crow clone technique were still present, despite the older crow returning to his own dimension. Ita focused his chakra, causing the black mass of crows to come together once more, creating yet another crow clone in front of the boys eyes. Without and verbal communication, the clone went off to a nearby wooded area and began trying to produce chidori without using any hand signs. Usually, Ita would do this on his own and allow for his clone to teach the boy, but there was somethings Ita wanted to learn first. The clone tried to use chidori several times, but was capable of maintaining the full power of the technique. Maybe it was because it was just a clone.
Now that it was just Ita and the boy, Ita was looking seriously at him, which was unlike him. Until now, Ita’s expressions and emotions had been pretty positive, lacking seriousness. Ita’s facial expression now however, was one that was judging the boy. Ita’s dark eyes staring right into that of Jace. Ita didn’t speak what was on him mind just yet, but what Ita was wondering was if Jace had been capable of activating his sharingan or if he knew much about it. What Ita would do next could be seen as a bit hostile, but was necessary, from one Uchiha to another. Ita wasn’t sure at what age a Uchiha typically awakened his sharingan, but Ita was 13 and had already achieved the three tome. The boy in front of him was probably a year or two older and had still yet to awaken his, or so Ita thought.
What Ita did next was a bit strange. He made sure that he was making direct eye contact with Jace. There would be a silence between them. Ita wouldn’t bother asking if Jace had awakened his sharingan, by the boys reaction to what Ita was about to do next, he would know. Jace would probably be confused as to why Ita’s facial expression had changed, and why he was staring him down so hard. Ita then blinked slowly. When his eye’s reopened, maintaining contact with the Uchiha boy, Ita’s eyes would swirl, the iris of his eye turning crimson red. Ita had activated his three tome sharingan and was now gazing into the boy’s eyes, seemingly right through him. Ita’s gaze was enough to paralyze the boy. However, such a thing was not that of the sharingan, but of a ninjutsu Ita had learned previously.
Ita had used the temporary paralysis technique on him. However, it would appear that this was the work of the sharingan. Ita wasn’t sure how the boy would react to such a thing, but if he were to question him, Ita would simply ignore his inquiry. Ita then blinked again and his sharingan was gone, as well as releasing the temporary paralysis jutsu. Ita spoke, “What you just saw was my sharingan in its perfected state. I haven’t shown many people, but I just wanted to know if you knew what it was. It’s tied to our clan. Although, I’m not the person to ask questions regarding our clan.” Ita then went on to inform him of the technique he used which was fairly simple to learn. This was going to be the last thing that Ita would teach him for the time being. The boy had taken in a lot today and needed time to decipher and train on his own. When he had accomplished all that, then Ita would expect him to search him out once more. “The technique I used however, was not that of the sharingan, but a simple ninjutsu that restricts the targets moments momentarily. Its fairy simple to learn and it only takes one hand signs. I have just become so proficient in it that I can merely cast it with just eye sight. It only requires the ‘Tiger’ hand seal.” Ita then proceeded to to show him the hand sign without performing the actual technique.
A flock of crows them circled overhead and crashed into the ground, morphing together to create Ita’s crow clone. Ita’s clone had returned and Ita intended to use him as a dummy for Jace to train this technique. Ita would place his hand on the clones shoulder, draining it of most of his chakra, to the point where it was weak enough for someone of Jace’s level to be able to perform the technique on. Ita’s more cheerful attitude now returned and he spoke to Jace once more before making his exit. “We’ve done a lot today. I think you should practice some more and reflect on what we did today. You know where to find me once you’ve sorted yourself out. Next time, ramen is on me.” Ita would say, holding a thumbs up to the boy, while making the ram hand sign with his other hand, then disappearing in a blur of speed regardless of what the boy had to say. Ita’s crow clone would stay, but would refuse to talk as ITa did unless he was inquired upon, then it would simply spit out the direct answer in a computed sort of way. Ita was proud of Jace. He had really begun to make great strives, especially after just graduating the academy. He would be well on his way to becoming a formidable shinobi of konohagakure in no time and Ita couldn’t even begin to dream about where that would take them. Maybe Ita would become a Chuunin someday and have his own team where he could lead Jace and other Genin to glory. Maybe ITa was just an amazing teacher. Maybe Jace was just an amazing student. Regardless, Ita was growing found of his company and now felt as though he had a friend, regardless of the gap in their abilities, which Ita thought might actually close soon.

"I must be going. Ita can show you what to do from here. It was nice seeing you again."
The old crow had finally vanished in a puff of smoke, the same way it had arrived. Jace blinked and looked over at Ita expectantly, not sure what he was supposed to do next. What he saw was weirdly unsettling and, Jace thought, somewhat out of character for Ita. The boy was staring straight at Jace, his face wore the most serious expression Jace had ever seen on him. Usually Ita was smiling and joking, even teasing Jace. This was different.
Ita was staring straight into Jace's eyes with such a ferocious intensity that it triggered Jace's signature move. That's right, you guessed it! The warmth of blood rushing to flood Jace's cheeks was so intense he felt like he might burst into flames. Why the hell was Ita staring at him like that? It was so weird. Jace hoped Ita knew that he didn't swing that way. I mean, Ita was a cool guy and all but Jace was definitely all about the boobies. Not that he really had any experience with girls at all, or even had the courage to talk to one. But having his first somewhat intimate look into another person's eyes with Ita was definitely not what Jace had envisioned. Ita had blinked slowly and deliberately. When he opened his eyes again, Jace would notice immediately the change. For some reason the boy had activated his sharingan.
DUN DUN DUNNNNN!
Sharingan? Why the hell was Ita using the Uchiha clans infamous visual prowess on Jace? Jace sure as hell didn't know. What he did know was that he suddenly couldn't move. It was as if he had been completely restrained by weird invisible ropes that entangled his entire body. Was it a genjutsu? Jace wasn't sure. Maybe this was some kind of test. Maybe Ita still wanted to see exactly what Jace was capable of. Jace focused his chakra, the way he had been taught, and tried to break himself out of whatever genjutsu it was that Ita had placed on him. He tried and tried but he couldn't seem to break free. He was about to give up when suddenly Ita blinked once more and the sharingan was gone along with whatever the hell was binding Jace in place.
"What you just saw was my sharingan in its perfected state. I haven't shown many people, but I just wanted to know if you knew what it was. It's tied to our clan. Although, I'm not the person to ask questions regarding our clan."
Of course Jace knew about the sharingan. He WAS an Uchiha after all. It was his heritage. Both of his parents could use the visual bloodline but he had yet to awaken it. It seemed Ita had already managed to awaken his. To be honest Jace was a little jealous. He had no idea what it took to awaken his own sharingan. He only knew that it would grant him great visual prowess which he planned on using to it's fullest potential. Still, Jace listened to Ita respectfully. It was still odd thinking of a boy a year or two younger than him as a superior. It made Jace think about how inexperienced he truly was. He wished he had done more at an earlier age. Maybe if he had trained harder when he was younger the situations would be reversed and he would be training Ita instead of it being the other way around.
When Ita spoke again Jace was snapped out of his reverie, blushing again for what seemed like the millionth time. He wished he wasn't so emotional and didn't blush so easily. Even so he continued to listen to the boy in front of him. He was telling Jace that he hadn't used any sharingan powers or even a genjutsu without sharingan to trap him. Instead, to Jace's apparent surprise, he had used a ninjutsu. A particularly handy ninjutsu in fact. One that Jace immediately had plans to learn. Ita told Jace that the technique required the 'Tiger' hand seal but that he had become so proficient at it that he could cast it by simply looking into his targets eyes. That was truly worth learning.
After Ita had shown Jace the handseal, thankfully without trapping him again, a flock of crows crashed into the ground between them. They immediately morphed together to form Ita's crow clone once more. It was definitely a cool technique. Ita would place his hands on the clone's shoulders for a moment before turning back to Jace. He told Jace that they had done a lot today and that Jace should practice a bit more and reflect on what Ita had shown him. He even said that the next time they met he would treat Jace to some ramen. Jace was happy for that because he hadn't completed any missions yet and the only thing in his wallet were a few pieces of lint and an old gum wrapper.
With that as a goodbye, Ita was gone in an instant. Jace thought it was so cool how some ninja could completely disappear like that. He wanted to be able to move as fast as them. Either way that left Jace standing there awkwardly staring at the crow clone that was left behind. He decided he would go ahead and try that paralysis technique thing, although he wasn't sure how he would be able to tell if it was working or not. Whatever. He was going to try to do it anyway. He wasn't exactly sure how it worked since Ita didn't really explain it. All he did was demonstrate it's effects and tell Jace the hand signs needed to perform it.
He stayed facing the crow and in his mind Jace imagined his chakra forming invisible ropes wrapping themselves around the clone to hold it in place. He concentrated his chakra, letting it build and trying to form it into what he had envisioned in his mind. He didn't know if he was doing it quite right but he was definitely trying. Finally, Jace would perform the necessary hand seal: Tiger. Since he was focusing so much on his chakra he felt the small ebb of it right away. It seemed he had managed to accomplish SOMETHING at least. "Did it work? Can you move?" Jace asked the clone. It responded with a quick 'no' and didn't speak again. Well, it was apparent that he had managed to correctly subdue the clone. He hoped it was good enough. Jace consciously released the flow of chakra to the technique and dispelled it right away.
He decided that that was probably good enough for one day. He had certainly learned a lot. He learned that he had the fire element and even learned the basics of the Uchiha clan's signature fire style jutsu. On top of that he had managed to convince a weird old crow to let him sign a contract with him. Finally, he had managed to learn how to bind someone in place. It had definitely been a productive day. A loud rumbling emanating from his stomach told Jace that it was time to leave and find some food. He thanked the clone for his help before turning to leave the training grounds in search of some noms.

Could you please break down the wc, because according to my calculation, you need 4k wc just to get fire as a second element at genin. <3
