The ground rumbled as Kyo fell on it, his muscular body had hit it hard. They said tje bigger they are the harder they fall. As Kyo was getting up he sensed something was wrong. He quickly got up pushing Jace out the way softly saying " Something does not feel right Jace ". Something told him he should go home." Jace I am sorry but it looks like we have to do Ramen another day " said Kyo looking at Jace turning around." Kyo! " screamed the voice of his father as he saw two beaming red eyes looking straight at him roughly 10 meters away in the trees. He knew something was terribly wrong because his father never activated his Sharingan unless he needed to." I've been looking for you for a more than a hour, come quick your mother is in the ninja hospital the medical ninja told me she fell into a coma we have to hurry " said his father as he motioned hsi hands for Kyori to follow. Kyo would nod quickly forgetting about Jace as he jumped up in the trees and would begin to race after his father hoping his mother was ok.

He was not sure if Jace was following him or not but at this point he did not care anymore the only thing he cared about was getting to his mom. And if the kid was following he would not witness the pain Kyori would go through if his mom did not wake up.

Jace watched as his hits landed and Kyo hit the ground, hard. He had expected the boy to be out of breathe from the sheer force of the impact. It did seem Kyo was out of breath, but something seemed off. The look in the boys eyes was pure terror, but it wasn't directed at Jace. It was so unexpected that it caught Jace completely off guard when Kyo darted off the ground, pushing Jace out of the way as he did.

"Jace I am sorry but it looks like we have to do Ramen another day"

Now Jace was just confused. What had gotten into Kyo so suddenly? Jace was still trying to figure out what the hell had just happened when he heard it. A definitive male voice calling Kyori's name. Jace turned to see the unmistakable sight of sharingan staring at the two boys from the trees. The man seemed to be familiar with Kyo. Jace heard the man say something about Kyori's mother being in the hospital. A coma? Was that why Kyori was crying earlier? No, it couldn't have been. He had just found out his mother was in a coma. The sight of Kyori darting past him to follow the man snapped Jace back to reality.

Jace was a kind and compassionate person by nature. Even though he was shy and awkward, he truly cared about people. That was why he couldn't just let Kyo go off like that. He hesitated a moment from indecision, but then finally he flung himself into the trees after Kyori. He caught up with the boy quickly and was running beside him. Jace's tone was low, empathetic for the boy he had just met. "What's going on?" he asked as he ran beside Kyo.

As the boy spoke to him Kyori would ignore ad he continued to jump from tree to tree to get to the hospital. The only thing he cared about at the moment was his mom and that he needed to hurry and get to her. He should have never lefr home, he should have stayed and helped her maybe just maybe she wouldn't be in a coma now. Arriving at the hospital his father told him to follow once again. They sped through the hallways Kyo was sure that he had knocked over a few ninja in the process. Coming up to the third floor his father took them to room 206. Bursting through the door Kyori saw his mom hooked up to machines as her breathing was slow. Slowly tears began to come out of his eyes as he rushed to his mom's bed and sat his arms on it begging that she woke up.

" She's moving " screamed one of the medical nin as they rushed to his mom and began to see what was happening. Kyori heard a long beep and someone screaming get a Raiton user. The world had become a blur to Kyo he had closed his eyes only briefly opening them seeing ths world more clearer. Ge saw the chakra on his mother's body slowly disappearing as of it was the mist of morning.

Kyori ignored Jace as they ran in silence and sped up the pace, flying through the trees. Within minutes they made it to the village and began to run along the roof tops heading toward the hospital. Jace tried to imagine what Kyori must be feeling. The air was thick with tension that weighed down on Jace's heart. He had always been an emotional kid. Whenever someone around him was sad or crying it usually made Jace sad as well and sometimes even brought him to tears. So of course, this situation was no different. They had reached the hospital in about seven minutes, but for Jace it felt like at least an hour.

When they got inside the hospital, Jace followed Kyori and the man he assumed was Kyori's father up to the third floor and into room 206. What Jace saw when he entered the room was heart wrenching. Kyori's mother was lying on a bed hooked up to a plethora of machines. Tubes and wires were spread out all over the room. There was even a machine hooked up to give Kyori's mother oxygen. As he looked at the woman lying there, his mind began to work on its own. Soon, he no longer saw Kyori's mother lying there hooked up to all those machines but his own. It didn't help that Jace had always been so overly empathetic. It was like he could literally feel the emotions of the people around him. And now he was looking at his own mother lying there, helpless.

Jace had always been a momma's boy. He didn't know if was the same for Kyori, but even if it weren't Jace was sure he knew exactly what the boy was feeling. There was a sound that kept Jace's attention. A slow periodic beeping noise coming from one of the machines. The beeping seemed to be continuously slowing down as the seconds passed by. Counting down until his mother's death. It was really Kyori's mother that was dying but Jace's mind wouldn't stop playing tricks on him. This often happened in situations like this. It was part of the reason Jace wasn't good with getting close to people. His mind had a way of turning situations pertaining to other people around to seem like they were part of his own life.

There was a sharp pain in his chest. It was getting harder and harder for him to breath. Tears began to well up behind his eyes as he watched. The beeping was slowing more and more until finally it changed into a flat continuous tone. The tears he was trying so hard to hold back began to flow forth from his eyes uncontrollably. He heard people talking and shouting for a raiton specialist. A young female nurse pushed her way past Jace into the room. She must have just noticed him because she turned and ordered him out of the room saying something about needing the space to work. Jace didn't move. He was completely immobilized by the tearing pain in his heart. Finally another, male, nurse managed to push Jace out into the hallway and close the door behind him. Jace fell to his knees facing the wall with his head in his hands. He was still sobbing uncontrollably. He had never known Kyori's mother and had just met Kyori that night, but he could clearly feel the pain that he thought Kyori must be feeling at that moment. He lifted his head and glimpsed his reflection in the small metal frame that ran along the wall. The sea of emerald green Jace loved so much that were his eyes had changed. In its place was a bright crimson the color of fresh blood. In the center of the crimson was Jace's iris surrounded by a single speck of black in the shape of a tomoe. His sharingan had awakened.

[size=43]Looking down to see his reflextion he would see the crimson blood red eyes of the Sharingan staring back up at him. He could not tale this pain anymore never did he want to endure the pain and misery to awaken the Sharingan. He did not want to be like the other people of his clan who did not care to show compassion. His father had burst through a window running away from thw situation. Why was he acting so rash. Why now, he knew his mom was gonna die sooner rather than later so why the built up anger. Turning to his side he would see the ever so quiet Jace eyes also turn crimson. The small kid had awakened their clan's doujutsu it had seemed. Looking away from the kid he would get up from the floor heading out of the same window his father had left out of sadness booling in his chest. It was the end game.[/size]

Tears still flooding Jace's face, he turned in time to see Kyori leaving through a nearby window. Jace would wipe his face with the back of his right hand and stand up. He couldn't take it anymore. He needed to rush home to see his own mother. This whole incident made him truly appreciate how lucky he was. He never wanted to experience the pain he had just felt again. He thought that if he did it might destroy him. After a brief pause, Jace would exit through the same window he had just seen Kyori leave from. He was headed straight home to give his mother a big hug and tell her how much he loved and appreciated her. He couldn't bear to lose her.
